We went and had dinner last night up at the Red Lobster on Thompson Road. I have been in a number of Red Lobsters in my life. I feel that that this is one of the nicest looking ones. Just a bit on the elegant side. I got the Ultimate Feast, and is it ever appropriately named. 1150 calories, by the way. That almost makes it a whole day's worth of food. Well maybe not that much, but at least 2 meals. And that's what it was for me. I ate until I couldn't eat anymore, and left with enough food for another good sized meal. My bud got the Salmon New Orleans and loved it. It even had shrimp on top of it. He said "Hey, you should try a bite of this." I just gave him a shocked glance and looked down at my mountain of seafood and said "Really man? Do I look like I need anymore food?" We also got the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. It was good, but the coconut shrimp at the Outback is much better. Our waitress did an okay job of taking care of us. But at one point, she kind of disappeared for a long stretch. We were joking that maybe she was abducted by aliens. 3 stars for the service and coconut shrimp. 5 stars for the food and atmosphere. Usually good however today was the worst visit I have ever had. Service was very slow. Sat for ten minutes before server came and got my drink order. I ordered the crab lovers dream and extra king crab legs. What a nightmare. King crab legs were small and snow crab wasn't much better. 1.99 for an ear of corn substitute because of some fancy butter. Couldn't tell. What a rip off. The tea was good and so was the salad. I did the online order and delivery for my mother for Mother's day. It was not ready in the time they said it would be done. They put my name on the wrong order and if it wasn't for the driver catching the mistake I would have gotten the wrong food. By the time the driver went back and got the right food and got it to us the food was cold. This was not the delivery drivers fault. This was RED LOBSTERS fault for not double checking the name with the order and making sure it got out in time. I don't know if I will ever go to this red lobster again and for everyone else reading this I would consider going to a different red lobster before going to this one. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE IF IN WHEEL CHAIR. My father is in a wheel chair and while entering this location his chair was ripped on the side. It took a huge chunk out. The Manager spoke to my father and told him that these doors our old an are unable to open to the amount they are supposed to due to age and Indiana weather. He gave my father the information to contact the insurance company. Insurance denied the complaint due to them saying my father should know if he will be able to enter or not due to width. This is extremely upsetting because if you have a wheel chair you would know how expensive chairs are so you try and keep them in good shape because you will have them for a long while. This location knowing that the doors are not able to open to the right amount should fix them. We have eaten here before pre pandemic. My dad is unable to go out that often due to illness and was very disappointed that he was finally able to go out only to have his chair messed up and then denied to have it fixed. If you know there is an issue with your doors and you have handicap customers come and you ruin their chair you should fix it especially when they manager informs the guest that this is a known problem. read more

We thought we would try a new location since we blamed the last experience on the store. After this visit, I think it's just Red Lobster. The service was inattentive and slow. The food was mediocre at best. I don't blame the restaurant, I blame the chain. Even the biscuits which used to be a real treat have become just a basket full of boring, dry biscuits. I usually don't write reviews for chain restaurants because there usually pretty generic. But I'm writing this because the bartender named Ronna was so great! She made a mistake on our order, but didn't fret and gave it to us anyway. She had a GREAT attitude and was super sweet and hospitable!! Looked like she got along great with the other people she was serving as well! We just came in for a quick appetizer while waiting for people and she made the visit very pleasant and inviting! Just paid $36 for the WORST King Crab Legs I've ever eaten. Little jointed sections, impossible to crack and end up with minced crab. I hadn't eaten at Red Lobster in a long time so I decided to treat myself. I ordered the combo of lobster, sea scallops, and skewered shrimp. I had lobster mashed potatoes as a side and lobster bisque as an appetizer. The bisque was very tasty but the lobster chunks were a bit tough, as was the lobster tail on the entree. The shrimp were tender and tasty. The scallops were very tender and nice. Probably the best taste treat of the meal were the rock lobster mashed potatoes. I'll dream about them. And, of course, the cheese biscuits were a delight. My only complaint is that it took longer than it should have to get my entree. The server was friendly and attentive but she annoyed me at the end when she made a sales pitch about filling out a survey from the ticket. I don't do surveys. That cost her a buck off her tip! We called in our order at 5:30pm, went in to pick it up at 6pm...they didn't have it even ordered and blamed it on the call center. (Alright, mistakes happen). Waitress asked what name order was under, I replied Patrica S, an order for grilled white fish and side of scampi. She again asked if the order was under Savannah. No, it's not. (Ok, mistakes happen). Waitress rang in an order that was definitely not ours and for twice the amount. I told her it was not our order and please adjust the ticket. (Yes, mistakes happen.) Mgr. came over, retook the order. I sat there about 20 minutes and asked the Male Bartender how long it would take. He had big ATTITUDE from him as he told me 'it was my fault' (so I just have to wait for a real answer eh?) Ok, I didn't deserve his attitude and it wasn't my fault. He proceeded to be ATTITUDE, RUDE and shooed me away like I was going to leave without my order? He waltzed to the other end of the bar and loudly stated 'he wouldn't be going to my end of the bar anymore and she should just leave'. The Mgr came out at 6:35 with my order. I was rattled about the loud disrespectful rude unprofessional manner in which I was treated by Mr. Bartender who had been employed there 30 years according to him. I think 30 years is way too long and time for him to retire or be a customer service professional with some manners. My friend invited me to this place to celebrate his wife's birthday. It was my first time in there and i kind of liked the place. The staff was friendly and attentive. They were not too busy by the time we reached their but we had a big table and they paid attention to everyone's order. The portions are good size and drinks are decently priced. I would want to visit this place again with my wife someday. May be I liked the place because we had great company or may be everything was good. I just went to dinner with my boyfriend to enjoy a nice evening out. Unfortunately our dinner consisted of poor tasting potato soup, tuff steak, and very skimpy salad. I paid $3.99 for a small side salad that was only 5 bites. How ridiculous!!! I work hard for my money and don't like to feel ripped off by high prices for small and almost tasteless food. Wish you could do no stars as this Red Lobster is a mistake to visit. We have tried it three times, the last visit we sat at the table for over fifteen minutes and were not even offered water. We were in eye shot of the Hostess in the bar seating but even she didn't get a server to come over, We got up to leave and got to the door and suddenly the Hostess and a couple of Servers noticed and called to us to wait that they would now be happy to help us. As my girlfriend and I pulled into the parking lot, we pulled directly next to 3 workers inside a car smoking some marijuana. We stood outside waiting for our buzzer to go off while the three workers got out of their vehicle and came inside, reeking of marijuana, with aprons on and everything and continued to serve their tables... we were sat in destiny's section, and she was very sweet and considerate. Our food came out and I had a New York strip cooked med-rare and a lobster tail. New York strip was overcooked, and lobster tail was very tough and chewy. Manager came over and took care of my meal. I haven't been to a red lobster in quite a few years and thought I would give it another try. While at this location I ordered the lobster artichoke dip and tortilla chip with homemade Pico de Gallo. The dip tasted like it was ran through a microwave, the chips had over half that were undercooked and the freshest tasting thing on this plate was the watery Pico de Gallo. After sitting there for about 10 minutes waiting for my main course (lobster and shrimp over load) I noticed the ledge right next to my table and food had a cobweb on it going from one end to the other. And dust covering the whole ledge to a degree that one short swipe with your finger could blacken your finger. At that point I didn't even want to eat anymore and asked for the manager and explained these difficiancies. He offered to box up our food no charge, I then explained how I have worked in very nice restaurants before and if the dining room is in this condition I don't wish to see the standards of the kitchen. I ended up finally leaving. The service was very nice, professional and above the normal standard of a waitress. Just couldn't stand to eat in a dirty restaurant much less at my own table. read more
