Fried flounder
Lisa M.

The Joliet Red Lobster location continues to be one of my favorites. The restaurant is clean and the service is always good. My mom always orders the endless shrimp and I went with the fried flounder for lunch. I got coleslaw for my side which was creamy and so good! My mom enjoyed her side salad and baked potato for her side. She also loved the options for the endless shrimp. Her go to shrimps were the following: coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, and Walt's favorite shrimp. This continues to be a good deal even though the price went up. Oh and those Cheddar bay biscuits...always hot, buttery, cheesy and oh so good! Love this place!!

Had a taste for shrimp, thought we'd try RL. Haven't been in several years. It was very dark , carpet worn and the booth seats torn. Restaurant looked like it could benefit from FoodNetwork's Restaurant Impossible with Robert Irvin renovation team. Our waitress Shannon was very accommodating. Food was about 7/10. Tasted like frozen food that was quickly fried.

Came here with my wife for dinner. We haven't been to a Red Lobster in years and we were in the area. We were seated right away and offered the drink menu. Wife had the Riesling by the glass which she said was very good. Ordered the calamari with 2 dipping saucesas an appetizer which was good, although it ended up coming out at the same time as our entrees which we didn't prefer. Nonetheless, for our mains...I went with the Baridi crab legs and Cajun butter on the side. Crab was very good. A bit bigger than the snow crab option. Ordered the crab Mac and cheese as my side because it's Crab Fest and why not. Mac and cheese was good but nothing special. Cajun butter sauce for dipping crab was great and I guess new according to the menu. The crispy potatoes that came with the crab were great and nice and crispy as they should be Wife had the grilled skewered shrimp and rice. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Our server was also really good and attentive although I forgot his name. Overall, we had a very good experience. Don't often dine at Red Lobster, but we would certainly come back should we have a hankering for chain restaurant seafood down the road. Recommended.

Many different options in the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake and way more lobster than I expected!

We noticed a large group of patron standing along the perimeter of the lobby with their backs towards us as they sipped on wine flights in front of them on the table. We passed a souvenir sales spot on our way to the hostess as well, so we figured we were in a franchise eatery. Fortunately, it was early evening on a weekday. Not too crowded. We were comfortably seated, and Nathaniel Y was our gracious and knowledgeable server. Because all wines are made in house, i tasted one or two before settling on a full glass of red. I wish it had served a bit (60ºF) cooler that the room temperature one i received. I ordered a Soup and Salad Combo. The Tortilla Soup was out of this world wonderful! Full of flavor and texture variants. Even my "Plain Ol' House Salad" was great! Finished with a cup of decaf and a shared molten Chocolate Tiramisu. Heavenly....

The waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive without hovering. We started with drinks: blueberry mojitos and sangria. Both were fantastic. The flavors were perfectly balanced, refreshing, and it was clear they were made with real care and attention, not just poured and sent out. For appetizers, we ordered the chips with guacamole and salsa. We weren't expecting the chips to come out hot and clearly fresh from the fryer, but wow, perfectly crisp with just the right amount of salt. The guacamole tasted fresh and clean, and the salsa had a great balance of heat and flavor without overpowering anything. I ordered the birria tacos, and they were outstanding. The meat was incredibly well seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell when food is prepared by someone who truly cares about what they're making, those kinds of flavors can't be faked. The Cobb salad was equally impressive: fresh ingredients, a perfect portion size, moist chicken, and a dressing that tied everything together beautifully. One of the nicest surprises was learning that Urban Kitchen supports the community through Meals on Wheels. It's always great to enjoy a meal knowing the restaurant gives back. The only downside? We live six hours away. That said, we will absolutely be back the next time we're in the area. Highly recommend!

Came in on a busy Saturday night after attending another event in the area. The bar was hopping and we snagged the last 2 available seats. At first, it appeared they had 4 bartenders, a manager, and a barback behind the bar. However, other than the barback consistently washing/unloading dishes I am not sure what was going on with the service. Manager was not providing any assistance to his staff. However, he was filling his own water bottle. Other staff were taking selfies with guests. It took awhile to order a second round as well as pay our tab. This was a one and done visit for me.

Obviously they have a crap ton of memorabilia. The menu is pretty expected and filled with classic greasy fried things. A pretty average looking place to be honest. It's almost as if this building used to be a chain like Applebee's or something. There's not a lot of charm, just loud TVs and yelling. Only a bit busy coming in. We were able to find bar seats. Has lots of great specials going on. It's $5.50 to get Jameson on Saturdays. As for the food menu it's pretty meaty. It's $11 for Hot Soft Pretzels. A lot of the rest of it is stuff like burgers. There's also pastas and pizzas. Seems like everything gets meat on it. The other stuff is pretty greasy as we saw on the other plates. For sure it's a great place for watching sports and other types of games. It's located by the Louis Joliet Mall so you can eat here after you go there. The area as far as restaurants is sucking and this is one of the better options for family, friends, or for whoever.

I am mad at myself for forgetting our female server's name but we were served on Dec 17 around noon. She was a great server. Brother ordered mozzarella sticks which came out right away and were very tasty, served in a cute little cone server. Mother got four sliders off the appetizer menu although it was way too much food. We tried to order the kids portion of sliders but the server told us the restaurant would not allow adults to order kids menu items as their meal. The two sliders went to waste unfortunately. I got the grilled fish tacos but was a bit underwhelmed with the thinness of the fish. A bit rubbery. I ate one whole taco and tried to eat the filling out of the rest. My brother enjoyed his meal which was the Anthony's Favorite Gyros. I would come back again if I was in the area as the service was friendly and they had a very good selection.
