Our waitress disappeared and I had to request a box from the bartender. When our waitress came back, we asked for desserts to go. We waited another 20 minutes to get the 2 desserts. TERRIBLE SERVICE! It took over an hour for ANYONE to take our order and it felt and looked as if everyone was avoiding where our table was. It took over 2 hours to get our food and it was lukewarm. Which Just shows that it sat back for a while before it was even served to us. This is unacceptable. They got more than half the orders wrong AND instead of asking if we wanted another drink they HALFED one of the alcoholic drinks between 2 of the people in our group because they ran out of the mixer and we still paid full price for BOTH. this is honestly absolutely ridiculous and I don't plan on ever coming back here. After a 3-hour drive from Atlanta, my sister and I pulled into Knoxville starving. We had Red Lobster on the brain thanks to all those commercials, and figured it was time to revisit an old favorite (which had previously let us down) but with the buzz about the new CEO and the fact that we were hungry we pulled up. First, the good: we were seated right away, and our server Blake was fantastic--warm, attentive, and really tried to make sure we were taken care of. He gets 5 stars!!! But the food? Total disappointment. We could not wait to sink our teeth into the cheddar bay biscuit which did not taste the same and were overly salty. I ordered the lobster flatbread pizza, and it was so salty, it was almost inedible. When we asked Blake about it, he let us know that the flatbread, was prepackaged--so much for freshness. That explained a lot. My sister got the shrimp trio and was surprised to learn that it no longer comes with a house salad. Salads are now à la carte, so she ordered a Caesar instead. Unfortunately, it came drenched in dressing and was soggy with little flavor. The shrimp Alfredo also missed the mark--bland and forgettable. We really wanted to enjoy the meal, but with sky-high prices (a glass of wine was $13!), smaller portions, and underwhelming food, it just wasn't worth it. WORST RESTAURANT AND SERVICE EVERRRR!! Server was VERY RUDE!! Took 20 minutes to get drinks. Ordered 3 dinners, two of which was an ultimate feast, and a surf and turf. Steak was ordered medium rare, and took 52 minutes to come to the table, looking like beef jerky. Sent back, and after 20 minutes still didn't receive another steak. Asked to speak to a manager 3 times, and no one ever came to talk to us. The linguine on ultimate feast was hard as a rock, dry and inedible. We came here to celebrate my mother's last cancer treatment. We chose this restaurant from all the ones in Knoxville. We will NEVER be back. And I'll make sure everyone knows to never go here. They've improved in many ways - the brought back their ORIGINAL TARTER SAUCE (a biggie for me), offer different types of baked and fried fish and have added options for the none seafood lovers in our family. I am so disappointed in this Red Lobster that has been a go to in my family for decades. We waited over an hour for a table to see the majority of tables unattended and the wait staff only covering a few tables. We left and there were still people waiting and an almost empty dining room. We arrived at 1:30 and didn't get seated until almost 2:45. Food arrived timely one we were able to order. Biscuits were fresh and food was good. While we were eating, they also said they didn't have clean silverware so they brought us plastic silverware. They actually had clean silverware but just hadn't wrapped it yet. Unwrapped silverware is more acceptable than plastic silverware. The quality of the food was better than the last time we were there when the crab legs were over cooked and you couldn't get a clean break with the shells. I am not sure what all the problems or issues may be but it was very disappointing. The food was still good but didn't makeup for the overall experience. read more

Red Lobster is what it is, over priced, lower tear seafood but it's what you get away from the coast and honestly they do try. The food wasn't that bad today, which was a surprise our waitress Madison was awesome and attentive as well. The issue is with their new on table tablets / pay station. We sat down ordered food and my children of course grab the flashing iPad like device on the table showing tons of games and deserted etc. it's like the check out line of a grocery store. The messed with it for a minute or two and then we're told to put it up, no phones at the table. Why Red Lobster would put these out was beyond me but I soon found out. When it was time to pay we were told that all the staff had been locked out of using cards they have to be used at the table. No big deal, the older people around us weren't too happy about it but at least these things have a use. Ran the cars left the tip and waited for a receipt and waited and waited. Finally went up to the front and was given the receipt out of the only printer in the building. While revising I noticed a charge for "games". I spoke to the manager, who honestly shouldn't manage a porta-potty with his skills. The response I got was "you have to click the button twice". So my child who can't read is supposed to have this gaming station at the table and be able to understand that it charges her????? I've seen these before and every time you have to enter a card first. When I brought up my displeasure with the manager ( or lack there off ) he couldn't care less, said I should have said something before... you know when I didn't have a receipt! Then he continued to show the people at the counter where to store there purses and items behind the counter. I won't be back.... sad that it was actually ok food for once and great service. Horrible management and corporate decisions to put these devices out will ruin what little rep Red Lobster has. Never had any silverware and had to ask for it after our food was delivered, so we just sat staring at our food until someone could bring us silverware. Then our waitress informed us they had no rolled silverware, and handed us plastic take out silverware to eat for our meal. The food was extremely disappointing. For $20+ a plate, we expected way better than what we received. For "flounder topped with lobster" I got 2 small pieces of flounder maybe 6 inches long, with 4 little "lobster" pieces the size of a pencil eraser. Another Person at our table ordered fried flounder, and it tasted like fried/oily cardboard! On July 11, 2024 my husband and my mom and I for my 51st birthday I decided I want crab legs so I made reservations at 5 pm at red lobster on merchant's drive, what a mistake that was, the waiter sat us at our table, then our waitress came, she at this point had 3 tables Including us 2 were leaving, so just had us, so she took our drink order, I ordered a margretta and my mom ordered unsweetened tea and my husband ordered water with extra lemons well she brought 2 waters and a sweet tea, waited about 10 minutes and caught her walking by to ask about my margretta, she went and got it, we ordered our meal, I ordered the plate of crab legs they were the ones you had to pay extra 5 dollars for, my husband got crab legs a d stuffed lobster tail, with Cole slaw which the waitress came and asked him before the food was done, they were out of slaw what would be your next pick so he said the Brussel sprouts, my mom.and I ordered ceaser salads with our meal, we waited about 10 to 15 minutes then once again caught our waitress walking by and asked her if we were going to get our salads, and she says they come with the meal, I cod not help myself but to say ate you kidding me, who eats salads while there are eating there main meal especially seafood, I told we would like the before the meal please, so she did go get them but took here at least 10 minutes, only need 2, but when the main dishes came, we'll let's just say my husband's plate was the only thing hot crab legs were very cold and he has very good manners they gave him Cole slaw, he spit it back in the bowl it was soured, remind you they told us they were out of it, so when they put my plate down she said plates are hot, well my rabbit legs were very cold and what I think were supposed to be potatoes under the crab legs were burnt, when I picked up the plate to give back to the waitress it was not hot at all, I was very mad at this point, she said she was sorry, I told her just keep it I don't want anything I had had enough by this point, so I left the restaurant because I was just so disappointed in everything, but when the manager showed to talk to my husband he basically alled him a lier about everything, Just to set this in the right direction, was not looking for a free meal we can afford this meal, shame on the manager for not hearing us he did not care about our concerns with our meal, WE WILL NEVER COME TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN EVER!! The prices here are pretty steep but the quality and service reflect the amount you pay. Our server Nikki was one of the best I've had in a while, attentive and polite. Do not go here they will rip you off. We went here and our bill was $56 and the minimum tip which was 18% was $18. I didn't really think about it at the time, but then the next night we went somewhere else and our bill was $55 and the minimum tip was $10. Then I figured it up and that was about right. My son loves eating at Red Lobster; they have the best lobster fest Red Lobster Ultimate fest is so amazing they have the best lobster tail, with steamed snow crab legs. Our server Jason was the best server in the world. He made sure we had fresh bread, and our glasses were never half full. Most of all, he double checked on our table every 10 minutes to make sure our food was cooked to perfection. The food has completely gone down hill as far as the quality is concerned and the staff is not friendly. The lobster bisque used to be my favorite thing here and there wasn't even any lobster bits in my bowl. They should probably change the name to bisque with a hint of lobster flavoring. Definitely go to Bravo near west town mall for excellent lobster bisque. The whole meal was a bust and our order was also wrong. We waited over 20 minutes to order and over an hour after that for our food to arrive. They were not busy at all so I'm not sure what the hold up was because they seem to be staff heavy. I really wanted seafood while I was in Knoxville for work and decided to stop in on a Saturday night. I got a seat at the bar and I was actually the only person at the bar. The service ended up being really good since I was the only guest. I ordered salmon with shrimp and bacon wrapped scallops. The salmon was really good and cooked perfectly. The scallops were a little undercooked as was the bacon tgat it was wrapped in. The cheddar biscuits were awesome as always. All around the food was pretty good.
