Went to the Medford location ti celebrate my birthday last week. We called to make a reservation and was told they dont take reservations. So our party of 10 sat in the entrance way for over an hour before being seated. Needless to say after waiting that long, it doesnt matter what the quality of food or service is. It was Red Lobster... We waited approximately 25 minutes in the lobby when most tables were empty. The Hostess explained they were short staffed and cold not seat until they had more staff. The waiting area seating was not comfortable. Cheddar Biscuits where great. Snow Crab was disappointing, compared to Dungeness Crab. Had the roasted garlic butter and it was good. Tried going to the Medford Red Lobster for lunch today. Very few cars in the lot, so thought we could get a table, NOPE! Was told there would be a 15-20 minute wait. The dining room was virtually empty! They told us there were only 2 servers on duty and they had a large group in the back already. Lousy management. No wonder the place is always empty. We have always been loyal Yelpers and fans of RL, but we hesitated to come to the Medford store after reading the low reviews. Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised! Our server Andi was polite, professional and prompt. Our food came out fast, hot and fresh. The only downside we saw is related to housekeeping. Come on you guys. I couldn't believe what I received for my take out order. I ordered a bowl of chowder and one bowl of lobster bisque. Each one was $9. This is what I received. After combining the three teaspoons they gave me it still didn't make a cup. Is this a joke. And it didn't even taste good. Horrible experience and I'm pissed. Went to Red Lobster to get "our seafood on" The server was incredibly sweet and patient... not with us... but the kitchen. First impression was: The local store must be attempting to keep their food cost down when instead of endless shrimp you are served 3 baskets of biscuits just to keep guests happy because the food is taking forever even though the restaurant is half empty. Again, having an amazing server that is compassionate and trying her hardest to make light of the situation in a good way really helps!!! When the food came out, the food was cooked and seasoned well (although I am still going to complain about improperly trimmed asparagus - it's not that hard!!!). I was delighted to hear that the restaurant knew that there were "secret flavors" advertised via email and we were able to order them without any issues. And hearing that the manager jumped in the kitchen to help out when hearing they were behind, just shows how much they really care about the customer experience. After that happened, food came out quick and amazing... too bad we were stuffed from yummy biscuits instead of shrimp. As for team work: you guys were a 5 star restaurant tonight!!! read more

We went here on a lunch hour, which, we assumed it would be busy and we'd need to wait. They weren't extremely busy (almost all of the restaurant was empty and there several servers). We were seated and had our drink and lunch order taken right away. Our server was very sweet. We ordered an appetizer, which arrived right away, a kids meal and two "unlimited" soup and salad meals. We finished our appetizer and the biscuits, our drinks were refreshed, but our lunch orders never arrived. Multiple tables around us were seated, had their orders taken and were served before us. And not small meals, actual dishes that would have had to be cooked. We had SOUP AND SALAD--things that are already made (presumably, since they are usually ordered as appetizers) and should have been brought out with the appetizer or immediately after. We didn't see our waitress after our drinks were refilled except when she would deliver food to other tables. We foolishly kept thinking we were next, and by the time we decided to ask her about it, we couldn't find her. She kept disappearing and after 30 minutes of having finished everything we did have and not getting our order, we had to flag down another server to cancel our order because we had to leave, and again, this was soup and salad--there's absolutely no reason for it to not have been served to us sooner. Our server finally came out a few minutes later and asked if we were sure because it was being "topped off" right now. What the hell was he topping off?? It was soup and salad and chicken nuggets. We asked for it to be cancelled and she walked off. We had to check the electronic device at the table in case that's where our check went, since she didn't tell us anything after that. Then it took flagging down several other people and talking to the hostess before we finally got the lunches taken off our check. That took us 20 minutes. That's ridiculous. We could have and should have been served and had our check paid by then, which was in total an hour. We already didn't care for this place since their prices were jacked up but the ambience and food quality went down. But a craving for clam chowder and Caesar salad on a rainy day sounded good and we decided to give it a chance. It wasn't the usual crazy busy like a typical lunch hour is, and we ordered food that should have been quick to serve then eat. We will never go back. read more

We had the all you can eat shrimp. The shrimp linguine was filled with succulent shrimp drenched in a creamy Alfredo sauce. The new salt and vinegar shrimp is addictive. The accompanying sauce wasn't even necessary. The service was stellar. Our server Anthony M seemed to fly across the room. I'm still in awe. He glided from table to table. We have had a waiter named Eric! 3 times and every time the service is horrible. 3p.m. today 2/26/24 We ordered our drinks he brought them to us and we asked for straws he acted like we were bothering him. My friend ordered salad and soup all you can eat I ordered clams chowder and fish and chips. He brought us our food and never came back to ask if I need a refill or if she wanted more. UPDATE: Red Lobster was very kind and made things right. They listened and took my review to heart and we've seen changes in how the are packing their to go meals. Thank you for listening and for the card we really appreciate your wonderful customer service! Not happy at all! We purchased the "family style" crab Alfredo with clam chowder, biscuits, and an appetizer total cost like $68 and some change for our family. When we got home the Alfredo was all over inside the plastic wrap that was used to hold together two container bottoms (they must have been out of lids). The server said it took so long because she was waiting on biscuits, but they were so hot that one the way home they squished together in the bag and broke up. We had to divvy up bites of biscuits. The appetizers were just frozen food heated up. When we saw the family style options online we thought awesome! But the execution not awesome at all! Won't be doing that again and will be skipping Red Lobster altogether for awhile, we just hate wasting our hard earned money on crumbly biscuits. read more

Super super long wait time. Been waiting for take out for over an hour and a half. Almost 30 people waiting around the front door to get their food. The store is supposed to close in 20 minutes. At this point it is truly laughable. If Red Lobster is too cheap to staff their restaurants with enough employees to function please just stay closed. Not fair to your employees and not fair to the customers. Do not order food from here. Spend your money with a company who cares about their employees and customers. read more

I'm the first to say how good a place is also if it was bad and unfortunately this was the first time to go to red lobster and I had two of my boys with me, never experienced lobster and unfortunately this was not a good one. Our waitress forgot about the steak I ordered and my older son ordered the lobster fest and the shrimp and lobster were so rubbery we had to use the steak knife to cut a piece off to try it and he ordered his steak well done and he cut into it and it was bleeding and super red . We told the waitress and she acted like we ordered it wrong...she said ohh so you mean with no pink and I'm puzzled at this point isn't that what well done means. Needless to say for 103. This is not a regular Red Lobster. I'm from CA, Red Lobster is a really good place to eat. Here though? Nope. The fish and chips were greasy and had zero flavor. The French fries were horrible. The Lobster was, well I don't know really, it was undercooked and sorta gray. The grilled shrimp was also undercooked, with no flavor. What a waste of $85! The server was really nice and competent. I had the worst experience at Red Lobster in Medford, Oregon. It took 15 minutes to finally get served my cheddar biscuits and when they came they were doughy and under baked. the amount of meat I finally got out of the crab legs was approximately 2 tablespoons worth . The "crispy potatoes " that came with the crab was burnt and black. I live on social security therefore I am on a strict budget and once a year take myself out for dinner at a sit down establishment. Unfortunately I wasted $32.00 on a terrible dinner and wasn't even served a salad!!!! I will never go back there again and have told all my friends about my negative experience. read more

Ordered 2 Cajun Chicken Linguini Alfredo and a side of 6 Cheddar Bay Biscuits for pickup. Got home only to find there wasn't any Alfredo sauce or Cajun seasoning on our linguini.. the chicken was diced up and had lots of fat and gristle in it, (the dog was happy to eat it). If we didn't live 15 miles away, we would've tried to get our money back!! This is the only Red Lobster I've ever had this happen at. I have come here several times and have always been pleased with the food, but after today I will never spend my money at this place! We're very disappointed and upset that we spent $39 on food we could barely eat. Good thing we had shredded Parmesan at home because they didn't put any on. We went for lunch at 11am for our son's 21st birthday. Our server, a young woman with very short brown hair, was incredibly polite and attentive. Couldn't read her name tag. Very prompt with water and iced tea, and Sprite refills. Son ordered Admirals platter, receipt says Sailor's Platter, that included shrimp scampi, "too garlicky for me" he said, only 4 fried shrimp and sole that he said was "nasty" and "kept pulling bones out of my mouth". He enjoyed his Caesar salad and birthday ice cream. Thank you Red Lobster for that. Not sure why it took 10+ minutes to receive the bottle of beer he ordered though. Daughter loved her fried catfish, even more surprised and happy it was a full fillet and not nuggets. Caesar salad "will change your life" she said, "just needs some chicken to be a meal". Spouse HATED the little lobster rolls that came with fries. I tried a piece too, lobster tasted like plastic. Garden salad was enjoyed. I had fish and chips. Fries and salad were good, salad came with red onion, which I picked out, of course. Fish was incredibly greasy. Barely enough Cole slaw to cover the bottom of the dish, and soggy, like it was at least a day old. Yuck. Cabbage is cheap. Make it fresh each day. Geez. Appetizer was "Seaside Sampler", coconut shrimp, seafood stuffed mushrooms, huge shrimp for cocktail. I don't like mushrooms like that, but all was enjoyed. It's been 10+ years since I've been to Red Lobster, so when I bit into their famous biscuit, I wasn't expecting so much salty flavor. Has the recipe changed? Or have my taste buds changed? read more

We were pulling into the parking lot and another car was in front of us. A girl in the back seat flips my family off for no good reason. She gets out of the car and goes in to Red Lobster. She is an employee, the greeter. My wife asks her why she flipped us off and why she was acting that way. She just stood there red faced and silent. The other 2 greeters came to her defense saying "maybe she wasn't doing that to you" and "please don't harass her". She then lies and says she didn't do anything. That's weird my wife and I saw it, my 2 kids saw it. Oh that's right it was a plot to harass the young greeter girl at Red Lobster day. She was not harassed, she was asked a question about her behavior. When that happened instead of having integrity she chose to lie. We did not leave we have eaten here many times and always have good food and the wait staff has always been great. Food was great as always, our waitress was great. The greeters are a joke no integrity and should not be what people have to deal with when they arrive. Would have been fine if she just would have apologized but no the greeters had to make everyone that works there look bad. I spent $175 and I don't complain about the price but this time the greeters cast a bad light on the whole meal and it wasn't worth it. Red Lobster has been one my favorites for many years until today. I popped in for a light meal in between lunch and dinner before heading back home to Yreka. I ordered the all you can eat chowder, salad, biscuits for $11.95. The service was slow even though there were only a few people in the restaurant I finally got my food and the chowder was rancid, very sour and bitter tasting. I told the waitress about it, and she asked me if I would like to try the bisque or try a new batch of chowder. I told her I would like the chowder. After sometime, she brought me another bowl of chowder and a sample of the bisque. again, the very same problem the chowder was bad I trade the bisque and did not care for that at all so I just finished my salad and biscuits and Pepsi, and told her that I was done missing out on the main part of the meal and spending more time there than I wanted to. She finally brought me my bill and it showed that I owed over nine dollars. She gave me a five dollar bill out of her own pocket, saying that the manager would not reduce the bill any more than that. I did not think that was right. I've always thought that it was pretty much standard procedure that if you get bad food in a restaurant, you're not to be charged for it. I left very disenchanted with a restaurant that I really liked for many years. I will not go back. They just lost a long time loyal customer. read more

Well to start with the service was slow.. the place was pretty much empty. The endless salad and soup was to say the least crap..wilted lettuce and slimy. The lobster bisque was cold and tasted like gold fish slurry. The clam chowder was canned progreso soup which cost 2.29 at Walmart and cost us $9.99!! Struggling today with FOOD POISONING ! My mom and I both ordered the clam chowder after we got a tester to make sure we like it. Hers tasted completely fine, mine tasted completely rancid and disgusting ! After immediately realizing it was bad, I sent it back. The waitress even said "yeah I noticed that one looked a little off." Please do not serve food that looks a little off!!! Working in the food industry myself I find it repulsive that you would serve that to a customer. I wonder what else is going on in the kitchen ! What a nice Red Lobster! Service was excellent and the food was delicious! My New Orleans Salmon had a mild spicy taste, plus they gave us two each of the biscuits with each serving!! We enjoyed our side dishes and the two beautiful ladies with me got a desert with their meal that I couldn't them into sharing me so I got one too!! Great place for two or a group!
