The atmosphere was loud but soft because it was during graduation season where Ll of the family was out to celebrate. Me and my best friend waited of 30 mins to be seated and 30 minutes to be waited on. But i will say that the sangria and long island were amazing with real flavor and fruits. Also the fish taco were amazing and were not rubbery. The lobster was not surprisingly rubbery. Our drinks were on the house for the wait so we won in the end lol. read more

Hello, after last night I had to get on here and tell everyone about my experience here. I want to first start by saying, I don't eat seafood, but my wife Loves it. So about a month ago my wife had a health scare that prompted us to eat better. So we have decided that we are going to treat ourselves once every 2 months. So she was hungry, and I was hungry, and we couldn't decide what to eat. So I decided tonight was the night we would treat ourselves. I told my wife to get in the car and I surprised her with Red Lobster! I made the reservation on the phone, and we get there, and They seat us immediately. So after a while of indecisiveness, we order. When I tell you from the drinks to the biscuits, everything was fresh and hot. Everything was so tasty and good. I almost hurt myself, trying to stop myself from over eating. When I tell you it was like they went back to the basic on this food. It was like when they first opened the doors, and wanted to get you as a customer. The waitress Jessica, ( who was African American) was one of the best that I have had in a long time. Cudos to you girlfriend. Yes we left a hefty tip for her, and I know Red Lobster ain't the top of the line. The last time we were here was back in 2019 before Covid. We came here on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 around 4pm. Not busy at all. We're told 45 minutes waiting time but was seated within 10 minutes. Great! We sat down. Waitress handed us the menu. Usually at that time they ask what you want to drink, they bring the drinks and the cheddar biscuits. She didn't ask us anything further. 10 minutes later, no drinks, no biscuits yet. The waitress then returns and takes our food order and later came back with the drinks but again no biscuits. We ordered our food and I wanted soup and salad. We received the soup and salad. I was about to eat my soup and realized there was no spoon with the silverware, only 2 forks and a knife. Another waitress walked by and I told her that we never received the cheddar biscuits. Then out waitress came by and at that time I asked her for a spoon for the soup and she reached in her pocket and handed me a packet of plastic silverware that would most likely be for a carry out order. REALLY??????? Was not impressed by this!!! Finally the food was brought to us along with the biscuits. The biscuits should have came out with the drink order. I don't think I will be retuning to this particular Red Lobster. I will say this, the food was good but not the service. Sorry. read more

Wow what an experience.... We were seated immediately. We had a server/waitress named Cheryl who was simply incredible. Best service I have ever experienced. Even as the place started filling up with the Saturday night dinner time rush, she stayed close updating us when necessary. Her communication was warm and right on, not too much, just enough. The timing of drink refills and all food delivery was perfect. Boy, the Tilapia and Harbor Lobster was amazing. Cheryl, expression and actions on "behalf of the restaurant" were so thoughtful and unexpected. We were completely moved. I did a online order for Mother's Day and my order was over a $100. It was supposed to arrive at 3 o'clock however it did not arrive until 5:00 p.m.. When it did arrive after I had to check in with Doordash driver. He let me know that they were so backed up he was standing in the restaurant waiting for the order and even sent me a picture of the congested restaurant in a time of social distancing which basically lead me to know that red lobster had not taken the measures to ensure people's safety but was so quick to take in as much money as they could. Forget great customer service or a great product!..Epic fail! The order I received was not even mine it was someone else's order with a similar 1st name but a totally different last name so there was no validation of the order number nor the order name and I still sit here 24 hours later and have not heard back from red lobster to rectify the situation. I do not like to be mistreated as a customer. 2 days later I called again after receiving a blanket apology letter via email. I finally got a manager who was apologetic and is processing my refund. That's all I wanted was someone to acknowledge they were wrong and thi maker it right. read more

My son and I decided on dinner after work. We entered and the Host informed us no wait, but after talking with manager that wasn't true, we did have to wait. We then were seated and no waitress for 10min; so we made our food choices and was ready when she arrived. We gave her drink, appetizer dinner order all at same time, because we didn't know how long it would be before she came back again. Drinks and biscuits were fast. She didn't come back for drink refill. She returned later with dinner. Never came back. We caught manager for to-go containers and bill. She pointed to electronic device on table that wasn't working. I don't typically frequent Red Lobster, as the quality has severely suffered over the years. When I was much younger (20s-30s), I enjoyed this chain often and always looked forward to visiting. Here recently, a family member really wanted to eat here for their birthday celebration, therefore I certainly was not going to dissuade them from their longtime favorite. During this particular visit, I was pleasantly surprised to find an offering that was more than just palatable. I had the Wood-Grilled Shrimp Taco's which was quite tasty and I would definitely recommend them. This dish is available in your choice of shrimp, lobster, tilapia, or chicken. The tacos come 3 to an order and arrive in a textured (wood-grilled) flour tortilla, stuffed with your choice of protein, topped with a jalapeno ranch slaw, Pico de gallo (tomato salsa) and cilantro. This is typically served with a side of rice pilaf, however, I substituted for a baked potato. The dish was very tasty and if I were to return, this would definitely be my item of interest. The quantity is perfect, the flavor profile is quite nice and the price is reasonable. read more

I must say this was the most horrible experience; I've ever experienced as a customer. My mom wanted to go there for a pre Mother's Day dinner, the day before Mother's Day. Although, we waited for about 45 minutes for a table which is not bad; it was the wait at our table after being seated- 30 minutes before we received water or a server to take order. While searching and stopping any waiter that walked by to take our order. We observed a lady, perhaps a manager bringing a table food on a tray; wearing a leather jacket; like she just came from outside. Both my mom and I, are like WTF. The way she carried the food out, the food was nearly touching her hair piece. Now, we both saying; please don't bring our food out. In the end, we finally ordered after another 40 minutes and I left a decent 5% tip. Me and my friends came here because we thought it would be a nice dining experience however, that was not the case. We came in go seated after five minutes, didn't get talked to until after about 20. We ordered our drinks and entrees at the same time. Drinks took about 25 minutes. And Food and my water took over about an hour and a half. The food wasn't even hot only the plate! Mash potatoes were stuck to the plate. Pasta was soooo cold to the point where you couldn't even mix the noodles and the sauce together because it harden from how ever long it was sitting in the kitchen. At that point me and my friends were over it and didn't get to enjoy the meal how we should have. It was to the point where they took so long with the food we didn't even want to send it back. Me and my friends felt like our time and money was wasted. And coming from previously working at a restaurant, our server didn't apologize or check in with us for the high wait time. And didn't even offer to comp anything or give anything complimentary for our time. I just don't feel like it was not worth it in my opinion or maybe just a bad moment for the server and service experience. If I could give zeros stars, I would and I wish we would've picked another restaurant or left after waiting that long without a server coming to check in and just paid for the drinks we had. This has made me wish I just cooked at home. Not a great way to end our day! Total thumbs down. And the worse restaurant dinning experience I have had in months. read more

Went here today with the gf and this place it really a mess. To start with we were told the wait would be 45 minutes. We were willing to wait since I hadn't been to a Red Lobster in many years and my gf had never had it. The wait only wound up being 10 minutes, which is great but when we were paged (text messaged) to be seated we had to wait an extra 10 minutes for the host to stop talking to co-workers before we were shown to a table. We waited another 15 minutes at our table before our server noticed we were there. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and 2 entrees. One of the entrees was ordered with 2 sides. 1 drink showed up, then one of the sides, then both entrees. We ate what we were given and the server eventually said she was waiting on my other drink. Another 15 minutes went by and 1 of the appetizers came... eventually the server brought my drink which was clearly sitting somewhere for a long time. The ice was completely melted and it was awful. After another 20 minutes maybe, a manager came out to apologize for the server who said they had to leave for a family emergency. I explained what had been happening and the manager corrected the receipt to remove the bad drink I received and took off the 2 missing appetizers to account for the missing side order. I appreciated them doing that but the service at this place aside from the manager was pretty terrible. The food was actually really good. Everything was fresh and yeah food-wise, what we got, was honestly a 10 out of 10. If terrible service/experience and great food are your thing... this is the place for you. This is now my favorite Red Lobster. The management team is amazing. My fiancee and I were there recently and experienced the best waiter ever. His name is Luis...he was very attentive and professional. It was very busy, but he made sure he checked on our table constantly to make sure our needs were met. There was a lovely manager named Rebecca who was especially professional as well. I recently had a bad experience at another restaurant and coming to this Red Lobster location gave me confidence in good customer service etiquette. Rebecca came to the table to make sure we didn't need anything else. It seems to me this management team can give classes in customer service skills to some other chains. She over charged up and still didn't get it right she still owes me a dollar. Tuesday special is g t15.00 not 15.99. Wow. My food was under cooked. No I didn't send it back because this place is so not right I can see them doing something to it. So we all know when it comes to seafood restaurants there arent many choices. Anyone recall "Boston Sea Market" in Carol Stream? That place was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! I still sigh thinking how they arent in business anymore. $25 all you can eat. If around today, I would pay upwards of $30 plus just to have them! Then a few decades ago there was this place in the burbs called "Largo Bay"...really nice... again gone. So what remains? Outriggers - BLECH..GARBAGE Hooters - but only for crab legs Joes Crab Shack - Meh, overpriced and not that great So we come to the one chain that has stood the test of time - Red Lobster Overall, they are still the best. The only gripe I have is they change the menu too often visually speaking. They renamed some classics which make them harder to find. But their sirloins are still very good, the lobster great and crab legs quite tastey...scallops are still too small, but the fried shrimp is great. You can keep your overpriced downtown seafood joints - "Nicks Fishmarket"...I will take Red Lobster anyday. Oh, a word regarding those who just love jumping on the bash a chain/any chain restaurant...you are full of beans if you say the service at this place is rude, food horrible, etc. Ive been eating here for over 30 years and NEVER ONCE had a bad/rude server or bad food...sometimes portions are too small or wait time too long? I haven't eaten inside the Red Lobster since COVID began but we did get a carry out dinner once. Well, I've been dying for a lobster tail, so we went there this afternoon. So disappointing. Our waiter was good and how the food is cooked was not his fault. So, it was pretty bad. My lobster tail was mostly over cooked. (Mushy) my baked potato was not even luke warm. My lunch mate ordered the Wagyu hamburger. It was very much over cooked. One side of the grilled bun was burnt. The cheese had disintegrated and the bacon was burnt. Our time was very limited or we would have sent it back. I can only reason that because of a large party in a private room, the cook was overworked and not able to pay attention to the grill. I give up on Red Lobster in Oak Lawn. On the plus side, the berry sangria was very good. Wish I would have taken pictures of the burger. read more

One of the WORST dining experiences of all times. As soon as we were seated a waitress dropped a tray filled with dishes sending broken dishes and cocktail sauce splattering all over my brother and myself. The waitress never apologized; she just said "it's time for me to go home." A very nice busser brought us napkins while the manager came over to apologize and offer ONE free appetizer and dry cleaning for the damaged clothing. I believe this type of error really warranted comping the meal or a generous cost reduction. It gets better - the meal experience continued with plates consistently crashing to the ground (5 different accidents within an hour) and our waitress forgetting everything from offering drinks, to biscuits, to utensils all culminating in bringing us the WRONG CHECK making up believe we were getting a greater discount for ruining our clothes. The manager was very nice but should think of appropriate ways to handle errors instead of nickel and diming patrons. I encourage the Southside to stop frequenting this location until the service improves. read more

For those not interested in a long review(tl;dr), read the very last section My wife and I went here on a Sunday evening, near 7 pm. When we pulled in, the parking lot was full. We gave them our name, and they gave us a buzzer, but no time amount was given. It was about a 50 minute wait, which wasn't bad considering the amount of people waiting to be seated. From there, it went down hill. Our waitress was quick to get our order. My wife ordered the Bay harbor sea food bake and I ordered the sea food trio. We both ordered appetizers, and salad came with the entrées. The waitress brought us water, then brought us our salads. This was quick, but the only problem was that we had no silverware. I asked her as soon as she brought the salads for silverware, and she said she would get us some. I also reminder her that I had ordered a sprite, and she told me she would get it shortly, and that they were refilling the machine now. At this point, we sat waiting for our silverware and my sprite for about 10 minutes. Our waitress then comes out with our entrées and seems confused at something. She then realized that we never got our appetizers. I also, at this point mention that we still don't have our silverware, and she told us that they are still cleaning them and they will get us some as soon as they are clean. Then we noticed that some one who just got seated was given silverware moments after they were seated. This was frustrating to say the least. Next our appetizers were brought out and we were told that the reason it took so long was because someone "stole" it out of the window and they had to make it new. I am not quite sure how something like that happens, but either way, they compensated by adding a few extra mozzarella sticks to my appetizer, which I had already lost interest in. This was the point where our silverware finally came to us. Finally to eat. As I am eating my salad, there was hair in it, and I showed my wife, which made her not even want to eat her salad. My entrée was cold by the time I first took a bite, which was not long after we got our silverware. The only two positives was that my wife's meal was good, and the waitress gave us a very slight discount ($4 on a $70+ bill). To be honest, the latter was more of an insult, but by this point, we were ready just to leave. While we wouldn't have ordered any anyway, we were also never asked if we wanted desert or anything else after the meal. This was the second poor experience in a row at a Red Lobster we have had, the former being at the Orland park location. This may just be a weekend problem, but we are not going back to find out. Poor management despite decent staffing seemed to be the culprit, as I heard another customer complaining to a manager about poor service while we were waiting, despite seeing about 8 different servers on the otherwise when we were seated. Overall, I would say avoid Red Lobster in general, weekends seeming to be the worst time. read more

Can I get a negative one -1 star instead. I'm in the neighborhood for some training. I travel plenty. I was in the mood for shrimp. The guy who was hosting looked at me funny, when I said for one. When I walked in. He looked puzzled as if it was a trick question I was eating alone. He mentioned he didn't have a booth. It didn't matter. I sat at bar. The female bartender handed me a menu and left. About ten minutes later she asked me for my food order. Although it was still lunch, I ordered an appetizer and a tea. She brought my drink out and my appetizer at the same time. Without silverware. No side plates or napkins. I finally asked for silverware. It came with one napkin. When I asked for the check, she became chatty Cathy. I was so tempted NOT to leave a tip. Did I mention I was the ONLY person at bar eating. Other than an older man sitting opposite of me, finishing a beer. I left a tip, either way. I should have complained. Never again. I will be writing to corporate. If you DO plan on drinking the waitress make the drinks there, I watched a few over pouring. Lol. Severely. Someone will have a great lunch. Just wasn't me. Lol read more

Tonight was great! Hubby and I got our lobsta on with some Lobsterfest specials. Our server was Andrew E, and he was on point throughout our entire evening. We started with the calamari and vegetables, which included calamari rings, broccoli, and red pepper strips in a light, yet crispy batter. It tasted good, aside from calamari rings being rather tiny, though I had a coupon for a free appetizer, so I couldn't complain. Hubby ordered the Wood-Grilled Lobster, Shrimp, and Salmon served with roasted potatoes and green beans. Everything was seasoned very well and was juicy. He enjoyed it very much, aside from his green beans being a tad overly crispy. I had the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake, which comes with split petite lobster tails, mussels, shrimp, and scallops served over linguine in a garlic white wine broth. It tasted very good, and all the seafood was cooked perfectly tender EXCEPT for the lobster tails which were a tad over cooked and on the dry side...luckily they also gave me some butter and lemon wedges on the side, which helped. What I also found rather disappointing was the fact that I only received 3 scallops, which I gladly would have traded a few shrimp for lol. Aside from that, we enjoyed a rather pleasant evening. Funny observation: they have suggested tip amounts printed at the bottom of the receipt, based on your total, in the amounts of 15%, 18%, and 20%. It may appear rather convenient, however when I did the math (which I even had my husband double check to make sure I wasn't mistaken) the totals printed were off. 15% they added an additional $1.50, 18% they added an additional $1.80, and 20% they added an additional $2. Had a east for fish so off we went. Place wasn't that busy. We saw a lot of filthy tables that weren't picked up. Told we had a twenty minute wait. We sat at the bar which was so greasy we requested a towel to wipe it down. Only saving grace was the bar tender Andrew. Was very pleasant and took our order. Back to the filth. Saw so much staff huddled around talking to each other. Those same tables still weren't picked up. Floor had paper straws and garbage. Huge wet spots all over. Don't understand why instead of huddling around with who I think was the manager they weren't cleaning up. A lot of the staff just ignored you. No pleasantness whatsoever. Crab fest is here and I have to find a new location to enjoy my crab legs dipped in butter! The wait for a table is ridiculous. And once you're seated the waitress/waiter doesn't reappear for about 15 mins, only to return with water and then disappear for another 15 mins. The wait for food is ridiculous. And make sure you don't go during endless shrimp because you'll only receive about 2 servings. But on the brighter side there is a waitress name Harriet who is an excellent server! Okay, I'm happy for Red Lobster and all, but it is WAY too crowded in here. Last time I went to this one, I went to celebrate my 19th birthday with my mum and grandma. We had a 50 minute wait! Given, we did go at 9 at night, so it was expected. But what I didn't appreciate was no one gave my 80 year-old grandmother a place to sit. She had to stand for a while as everyone else just sat in seats that they could have given up for her. The only option the staff gave her was for her to sit at the bar. She's not tall enough to get on those seats. When we finally got to the meal portion, we were accompanied with a lot of babies screaming in my ear because the tables were so close. Also, when my grandmother was ordering and the waitress was speaking to her, the waitress got this big ol' attitude because my grandmother couldn't hear her and asked her to repeat herself a few times. I'm sorry that's she's nearly deaf! Don't shake your head at me and give me that smacking sound with your lips. Go work at Walmart where that attitude belongs. I will say that the food was up to par. I love Red Lobster's food but I was very unsatisfied with their environment and treatment towards my grandmother. read more

On top of that, our server was clueless as to how to serve, with three tables complaining about her ", and one walking out while we were there alone! I got the lobster pizza as an app, and it was ok but lacking on lobster (as to be expected). I then got the Stuffed Tilapia. There are slim pickens for crablegs in the area, so we made it work.
