Just went there with my group of girlfriends and we were all pretty impressed with the food. I usually don't like going to red lobster cuz I've had better seafood meals from other restaurants, but there isn't much of a selection in the area. Lobsterfest was goin on and I ordered the lobster lovers dream. It was pretty good and the service we received was fantastic! Our waitress was really nice and accommodating to our needs. I love this Red Lobster location. You never have to wait that long to get a table and the wait staff are usually very fast. I was just there tonight for dinner with my mom and sister. I had the shrimp pasta and added a Maine lobster tail. My sister had one of the Lobsterfest dishes with the lobster tail, mac and cheese, and shrimp. My mother had the coconut shrimp which is always a favorite in my family. We love seafood and we always go to Red Lobster when we go out as a family at home. We go to celebrate birthdays, special events, or just a night we are hungry and want to go out. I come here probably once every other month because I think it is the best place to get fresh seafood in the Illinois Valley. Their drink prices are a bit high but I still pay them because they are good. I like getting the malibu hurricane, triple berry sangria, or the bahama mama. The fish that I like to get there are: salmon, seafood stuffed flounder, and tilapia. The seafood dishes I love getting there are: lobster & shrimp or just shrimp linguine alfredo, maple shrimp and salmon or chicken, and seaside shrimp trio. I think everything at Red Lobster is always good though. Sometimes the waitresses can be kind of slow or not come to the table enough but if you go when they are not terribly busy it will be a better experience. read more

Went there for my birthday this month. $50 including tip just for me ! ! About $20 more than I wanted to spend. The pros: Waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Stuffed mushrooms were really good. Broccoli was pretty good. Their "bread" is really good. The cons: Lobster was tough had to really yank on it to get it out. The shrimp were tough and chewy. The scallops were also tough and chewy. The linguini was undercooked. Scale of 1-10 I give it a five. Way too expensive for me. Very disappointed. Now I know why it wasn't crowded and this was at noon time on a Sunday. Maybe six or seven vehicles in the lot. Probably won't ever go back to this Red Lobster in Peru Illinois. read more

Service is good . Got dirty spoon with soup! Got a backed potato that was crispy ! Yes crispy crunchy. Sent it back got another one same way :(. Must use a broiler to reheat them and they burn the outside while sucking the inside dry . Location is good building is clean . But the back of house needs supervision read more

First of all the wait staff is fabulous. Red Lobster food has gone downhill and this is my last time going to any of them. The piece of stuffed flounder I got was smaller than a deck of cards. The baked potato smothered in salt and shriveled up dry as a bone. The waitress brought me a new one but with Health being on most everyone's mind. Point of the matter don't smother my food in salt. We had dinner there Monday night around 6:30 PM on January 4 2016. The Calamari was so salty we could not eat it. Told the server that she could take it back, that we could not eat it. Started to order one of the new promotional entrées but they did not have any salmon. Ordered the New England clam chowder and it was fair. In all the times going to red lobster I have never had bad biscuits but these were bad they just did not taste right to either of us. I settled for shrimp linguine and took most of it back to the room at the Hampton Inn. After getting back to the room I got sick and threw it away. I paid for the calamari along with my dinner and it was near $60. I hope this review will help someone from making the same mistake I did. What a horrible experience for both of us at a restaurant chain that we both like. read more

We tried the Lobster Fest on 4/14/17; my selection being Lobsterfest Surf and Turf. When ordering, the waitress mentioned they had two choices of steak. I asked her for whichever was more tender. She, however DID NOT mention that the UPCHARGE for this particular steak, was $7.00. When she presented the bill, she said, "I thought you read that", (apparently in the SMALL PRINT). I was VERY unhappy with MY entree charge of $36.98; when I was expecting the menu printed price of $29.99; which, by my standards -- being seniors on fixed income, is VERY EXPENSIVE in itself. (No one is given menus long enough to play around with their SMALL PRINT), if that IS, where this was explained. The food was good; but their integrity and common sense is lacking! Certainly, in our area of the Midwest, ordinary people ARE NOT RICH. We went for the SPECIAL LOBSTERFEST, and I returned home; VERY disappointed! read more

Very nice restaurant. This Red Lobster has the best broiled fish I've ever had, enough so that the manager brought out the lady from the kitchen so I could thank her. We live about 40 miles away, and we make the drive to this location every now and then. For something special. read more

This is the best Red Lobster location. The food is always consistantly delicious. I love the shrimp nachos and get them for an appetizer every time. They used to have Lobster Nachos and those are equally as delicious. I get the Coconut Shrimp with the Pina Colado dipping sauce and it is always fantastic. The Ceasar Salad is tasty as well. The servers are friendly and attentive. They also accept expired Red Lobster coupons and also they accept any Darden Coupons like Olive Garden coupons! The service was great. If we would to ever go back it would be because everyone was so friendly. We usually go to the Joliet location. Witch we love but is so busy all the time. At Peru location. The food is just not good. I always get the four course meal Cajun chicken pasta. It's my favorite. My salad was brown and old. My soup was potato it had a brown tint and was thick was not soup. My husband couldn't even eat it. Then his soup was lobster bisque it was water. My pasta was dry. It barely had Alfredo on it. The whole thing was just disappointing and they weren't very busy. We will definitely be making the extra long trip to Joliet. Lessons learned. read more

My husband and I went for our anniversary. We do this every year for 25 years now. This is the first time our service was lacking. We got our salads and cheddar bay biscuits and the waitress said she would bring our silverware. She waited on another table while we still waited and another waitress walked by and noticed we were not eating and she realized we had no silverware, so she brought them to us. We ordered endless shrimp, and we ordered our second order of two types while we ate our first ones, which we waited quite for. It was more like endless waiting for shrimp. One of mine was brought out after a while, while my husband sat there with none, then a while went by and my husband's two selections came out, then several more minutes went by before my second selection came out. My margarita tasted like there was no alcohol in it. I didn't finish it. We ended up taking most of our second order of shrimp home with us. read more

The food here is excellent. Even though we find Red Lobster generally hood, this one is excellent. The server Linda was excellent. The manager April helped my wife with gluten free items. Great food great experience. Take note other Red Lobsters I think this one is the standard. read more

I was visiting town and ordered take out dinner for the family to eat in the hotel room. We didn't realize they didn't pack the soup until we got back to the hotel room. When we called the restaurant, the manager drove over personally and dropped off the soup for us (and they gave us some extra biscuits- Yummy). This is excellent customer service. Everyone I talked to there were nice. The food tasted great. Highly recommended it. read more

The food at Red Lobster is awesome. The waitresses are wonderful. However as a frequent, once or twice a week guest, i find management is lacking and slow to address problems. Last week it was pandhandlers in the parking lot. This week it was flies enjoying the nice warm sunshine. All patrons reported to waitress. She came back and said the other day they were told to lower the blinds. Not once did a manager come by to apoligize or offer us another table. I find that amazing. read more
