This particular location offers a gluten free menu in the form of a big, thick allergen list. While it is very detailed, it is also a bit time consuming to sort through. I ordered the garlic shrimp scampi with a baked potato and side salad without croutons. (Be sure to specify no croutons otherwise it is not considered gluten free per the allergen list.) Red Lobster used to be a fancy dining experience my wealthy grandfather used to treat us to. Having not been in years, till I went to a red lobster in Miami. Which was nothing short of fast food. But here at this location, it was more like a nice and rather fancy restaurant. So i'm guessing location makes the difference. Maybe their fancier in Pennsylvania... or just dumpy in Miami. My mother insisted we come here for the endless shrimp. I really didn't want to come from the endless shrimp memory in Florida. But presently surprised. The shrimp wasn't jumbo... at 16 dollars I didn't expect it to be. But it was good eats. The spicy shrimp (can't remember the name of it) will burn your tounge off. Loved it! A friend and I were meeting for dinner. She asked if we could meet at Red Lobster. I had not been there in awhile so I agreed to meet there. It was 5pm on a Tuesday night so we were able to get right in with no wait. Most of the time there is a line and a waiting period to get a table. They were having a Crab Feast as their special for the month. My friend and I got the same thing-crab legs and scallops. We also both got potatoes. I got a baked potato and she got mashed but hers had a crab sauce on top. When the food arrived it looked really good. The scallops were grilled and cooked perfectly. The crab legs were also done nicely. Sometimes you go to places and the crab legs are soft and too pliable. The crab crackers can't even break them open. These had crisp shells that cracked nicely. Our server was very kind and she was very attentive. If you haven't been into Red Lobster in awhile you should check them out. You know you can't resist those cheddar biscuits. read more

Avoid this location!!! We ordered back in February and all of our food was messed up. I got only 1/2 the amount of coconut shrimp I ordered and none of the sauce that comes with it. My boyfriend got mac and cheese that came in a plastic bag??? and was inedible. My lobster mashed potatoes were old and ice cold and hard?? along with the same problem with our soup it was ice cold and tasted like it's been sitting there for days. We never normally complain to a restaurant but after spending 60$ and getting food that none of us ate we felt pretty upset. We called them and the manager was very understanding, apologized and said he was going to give us a gift card. We got the gift card and it was only for 20$, which doesn't even cover the price of one of our our entrees. The least they could have done was remake our food, or even offered us a gift card that covered the amount we paid so we can just get our food again. Pittsburgh is not a culinary hotspot so on her last night, she saw the advert on television about 2 for $25 and suggested we give it a try. If I want seafood, Red Lobster is not the first place that comes to my mind, but we went since neither of us wanted to spend a lot of time searching. We should have gone to a diner. We were seated in a booth but I had to first dispose of the lost crab claw on the cushion. It was April, but the heat was set to tropical. There were too few servers to serve all the patrons so it took nearly thirty minutes just to get something to drink. When the food arrived roughly one hour after placing the order, it was cooked to the state of being jerky. I've never had scallops that overcooked. There was nothing good about this meal. My family ate here for my and my dad's birthday. Service was excellent, food was nicely paced, drinks filled without even being noticed. I am not a seafood person but the popcorn shrimp was I ate wS perfect. The Ceasar Salad was a huge surprise because it actually had enough dressing so that it wasn't dry tasting. As always the cheddar biscuits were warm and we went through 3 baskets of them. To top it off, the waiter brought out a scoop of ice cream for both me and my dad with a candle in each one and sang happy birthday to us. Took my mother to the Robinson Red Lobster, which she used to enjoy. At exactly noon on a Sunday, the restaurant was only about 20% full. Our waitress hurried us along while saying she was not rushing us. The menu is over 20 pages long. The waitress really wanted us to get that order in. She came back 3 times until we were ready to order. She said at the third time "If I give you too much time, you will change your mind too much". Ok so here comes the salad, mine is ok, the blue cheese was below standard. My mother's salad was mostly composed of white bitter leaves. She ordered coconut shrimp, it was tasty but the shrimp had been smashed to a thin layer to make them look bigger. I ordered the captains platter, again smashed shrimp, paper thin fish fillet, and very tiny scallops. Way more breading than you would have even at long johns silvers. In fact the meal was simply worse than my childhood memories of Long John Silvers. Please note I do not consider long john silvers a good seafood restaurant by any stretch of the imagination. Amazing! I'm new to yelp. Just got the app so this experience has been a few months back but it was so incredible that I felt the need to write it now. My husband and I went for our anniversary back in October and everything from the staff to the food was impeccable! We've been to different ones throughout the U.S. over the years and this one by far was the best one! The food was so fresh, hot, and delicious! Our waiter did an awesome job of making sure all our needs were met and our drinks were full. I wish I could remember his name to mention him on here. Ah, Red Blobster, one of the few food chains I can actually stand. First off, I never order any of the fried/breaded dishes, which eliminates 1/2 the menu. You're better off going to Long John Silvers and paying 1/3 of the price. Now, on to the positives: 1. All you can eat shrimp (when available). This is the main reason I come here! If I ever choose to overdose on salt and butter, this is the place I'm headed. My record is 90 shrimps, mostly Cajun grilled and scampi. Don't bother filling yourself up with biscuits and rice/Alfredo sides that come with some of the shrimp orders. I would also recommend not drinking Mountain Dew with it because it could result in a cataclysmic reaction in your stomach. 2. Specials. The last time I went, I got a seafood casserole that had shrimp, mussels, clams, lobster, and scallops. Even though every bite led me closer to heart failure, I couldn't help but keep eating it. No joke, if you ever see seafood casserole on the menu, order it. The food was terrific for our party of four on 7/11/18. We had a few service issues, but the Manager made things right for us. The first issue was our fault- we requested a booth, but it didn't work for us. The Greeter told us to follow her, but by the time we all exited the booth (we are older and it took a minute), she was gone. Another Server asked why were waiting and then said we could sit at another table that was half booth, half chairs. The issue seemed to be making sure the initial server still had her customers. Finally, however, we were moved to a table that worked much better for us. Shawn, our server, was very polite and took our order in a timely fashion. However, another table's meal was brought to us until we informed the server (not Shawn) that was not our order. The biggest problem came when our order was served. They gave my husband the wrong order and it took at least five more minutes for him to get his order, while we ate. Shawn was very apologetic and made repeated stops to see if everything was satisfactory. The manager did the same. After the meal, Shawn brought the bill and said the manager comped my husband's meal because he had to wait. So, even though the service was initially lacking, the manager really did what he could to fix it. Also, we have always had excellent service at this Red Lobster before now. read more

I only had the opportunity to enjoy a soup and beverage at the bar but did notice that the staff not only had a great sense of humor but seemed willing and very dedicated to making sure that patrons get what they want. For example, one patron who indicated their plate was cold had it immediately returned to the kitchen to be corrected. Now I'm not sure how much went into that act of kindness but I look forward to enjoying the broader menu of treats at this particular location modeled after the other Red Lobsters like the one I visited in Sharon. I am anxious to return to see exactly how appreciative the wait staff may be for my rather complementary recommendations which based on my appreciation were well justified and simply need to be proven under fire or under the rigors of repeated use by one or more patrons. I don't necessarily see a need for anyone but me to offer my review to point out the things of quality I may find down the road. But it's always fun to have competing opinions. read more

I wish I had something favorable to say about this place but unfortunately my last experience here was a nightmare to say the least! My husband and I decided to finally treat ourselves to a date night (and to satisfy my odd new craving for lobster while I'm expecting again) so we came here. When we arrived it was quite crowded and we were told we would have a bit of a wait ahead of us which wasn't a problem. What was a problem was that people who came in after us were seated before us without even having a reservation! When we brought that to the attention of the hostess she said they "must have overlooked us". We were seated after that but no waitress came to our table for a good 20 minutes. When one finally did come she was harried and stressed out, and took her attitude out on us. She brought us cold biscuits that had clearly been sitting out for quite some time and then disappeared once more. She finally came back to take our orders another 15 minutes later and by that time we didn't even want an appetizer. We just ordered our food...and waited another 45 minutes for it! I understand the place was busy but this just was not acceptable. At the end of the meal my husband asked to speak to the manager, who seemed annoyed when he had to be taken away from whatever he was doing at the time. He offered the most insincere apology I have ever heard and hurried away. That is not how you treat patrons, not if you want them to keep coming back! My husband and I did not even want to pay for our meal because of how awful it was, but we did and still tipped the waitress though she didn't deserve a dime. Needless to say we will not be making atrip back in the near future at all! read more
