I just got home from dinner at the Red Lobster in Sherman, Texas. I sat at one end of the bar. I ordered a gin and tonic. They had a well gin and Bombay Sapphire. Only choices. After the bar tender brought the drink he put the drink on some cocktail napkins, but no regular napkin and said we are out of tonic so I would not be able to have another one. Placed my order of coconut shrimp and grilled sea scallops. Food arrived and had not received any silver wear. I had to sit there for about 5 minutes and saw a waitress coming by with a tray of silverware and asked her if I could have one which was wrapped in a dinner sized napkin. I had ordered french fries for my side. No ketchup. No salt and pepper - oh, I forgot had a bowl of clam chowder, or should I say mainly potato soup. Searched for clams and only counted three very small pieces. I ate and couldn't wait to finish and get out. While I was eating, there was a woman at the other end of the bar who ordered a drink - could hear what she ordered but heard him tell her they were out. So she settled for a glass of wine. Her food came out and lo and behold no silverware. She had to ask another waitress for some. There was a woman who had ordered on line for pick up. The order was incorrect and so they had to go back and bring the missing items to her. She was there for about 20 minutes - for a pick up order. Absurd! There was also a man who came in to pick up his order. It was wrong and he went back out to his car to wait. He came back in to get his order, and it was wrong. He went back to his car. He came back in to pick it up. Then out to his car. He returned with one of the sacks dripping liquid. Apparently one of his choices, the top had not been put on correctly and it was really dripping liquid. He was nearly furious. Went back to his car. Came back in to get the replacement order. The look on his face, although I could really only see his eyes due to his mask would have stopped a clock. Just as I was finishing up the lady there for her pick up and I left about the same time. When we got to the vestibule - which had not been cleaned up from the dripping mans order was still on the floor. I opened the door for her and said "this was the worst service I have encountered in a long, long time. She shook her head in agreement. I got in my car and returned home. Now I know that they have orders for pick up and some were taken to cars requiring an employee (mainly the bartender to carry them out) thus leaving the bar unattended. I am also aware that due to the virus delivery of items can be delayed. But out of tonic, out of certain liquors seems to be a problem that needs to addressed. I have been a bartender and have served food at the bar. Napkins, silverware, asking about salt and pepper even in individual packs, ketchup for french fries isn't a difficult task. The way I feel now it will be a cold day in hell before I return. read more

All I can say is Wowzers! The Cheddar Bay Biscuits are evil! They are so good you can't stop eating them! Then when your food arrives you can't eat your meal! My wife has accused me of not having self control! She is crazy! Who wants to have self control when it comes to these amazing biscuits! Wow. I was amazed by how bad my meal was and by how much it cost me. I gave them a second chance and it just got worse. I spent more than $40 on a single meal and #1 There's no salad. #2 The baked potato was tiny and overcooked. The skin was tough, rubbery and dry. #3 I got the world's smallest lobster tail. I swear I've seen larger shrimp. #4 The "pan seared" scallops cost $7.49 plus tax and 15% tip = $9.23 and they appeared to be boiled and unseasoned. They had no color and I got a total of 4. That works out to about $2.31 per scallop. #5 I prepaid a 15% gratuity for curbside pick-up and they seem to have intentionally screwed me. 15% and all the server did was bag my order and bring it to my car. I'm never going back, ever. I see now that I could have uploaded a picture. I wish I had taken a photo. I was still hungry when I finished the meal. read more

Two stars is being kind. Let me start off by saying my husband and I have not been to a Red Lobster in years so we decided to give this one a try instead of the steak house next door. When we first walked in no one was there to greet or seat us. After a few minutes a young woman showed up and asked if we had been helped. We said no and I proceeded to ask her if Red Lobster still had salad bars. She said "I don't know?" I said you don't know? How can you work here and not know if there is a salad bar. She said, "oh I thought you said something else... yes we have a salad bar." So she seats me and my husband and before he sits down he is looking around and then ask the girl where the salad bar is. She says "oh well it's in the back.. you know it's like a salad bar and that's where we get your salad from" WTH??? Really?? Well a few minutes later our waiter Preston comes over and takes our drink order and heads off to get our drinks. When he gets back my husband tells him we are ready to order and he says I'll be right back and goes and fills up some other customers drinks then makes his way back. During this time my husband and I take a drink of our drinks and Preston has given my husband the Diet Coke and me the regular (I'm not supposed to have sugar) To my pleasure I saw they had coconut shrimp which I ordered with a side of broccoli and a salad and my husband ordered the surf and turf... his steak med well. We both got a salad which was meh... and some spinach dip which was really good. Preston came out while we were eating our appetizer and said that they were out of broccoli so he had them put green beans on the plate since they were green like the broccoli?? Umm lol ok... I blew it off because there choice of sides is pretty slim and half of them you have to pay an upgrade fee to get them. Well our food arrived and my husbands lobster tail was missing. Preston said "oh you wanted the surf and turf and my husband said yes that's what I ordered. Preston apologized and said he would get one out to him soon.. and then looked at me and rolled his eyes as if to say "that's not what he ordered!". To My husband disappointment he cut into his steak and it was raw in the middle.... medium well it was not... obviously listening is not part of the skill sets you need to be employed here :/ Well here I am with this coconut shrimp and super excited... because it's my all time favorite dish and I look down and The coconut shrimp looked as if it had been flattened with a rolling pin and then breaded and fried... which if it was good wasn't a big deal but once I started eating it I realized this was not fresh shrimp or anything close to fresh! It was SUPER salty... i don't know if it was the breading or if it was just over processed frozen shrimp! I ate a few pieces and after that could not finish. The more I ate the more pronounced the saltiness was! It was absolutely the worst coconut shrimp I have ever tasted. When I got the bill it was just insult to injury... with a tip I was looking at an $80 bill for a meal we did not enjoy! read more

Really great food! The grilled salmon with soy ginger glaze fish special was cooked perfectly, the cheese biscuits were hot out of the oven--so delicious! The side salad that comes with the entree is pretty weak, but the a la carte sides of sautéed asparagus and caprese salad were really good. The ultimate feast had a variety of crab, lobster, shrimp, etc--very tasty and filling. The baked seafood entree with mussels, lobster, shrimp, etc was also very tasty and filling. Service was solicitous but either he forgot a couple of things or the kitchen did, but it all was fine. Prices were reasonable for the huge amount of food. Ambiance was quiet, clean and friendly. Contacted the Red Lobster website and complained of endless shrimp being cancelled on Valentines Day without any notification on their website. Was contacted by the director of operations regarding the complaint and he apologized for the poor job of making the Valentines Day change known. We accepted his offer of a gift card and returned on a Monday for the endless shrimp special. The food and service were excellent and my wife and I look foward to returning to Red Lobster. Kudos to Red Lobster and the management that took this issue and saved a decades long customer!!! read more

In one section of the restaurant so we had them reseat us In a different section of period the service was unreasonably slow took 15 minutes to get a glass of water . I've had alot better. The salad was nothing more than white, iceberg lettuce with 2 grape tomatoes. You could find 5 better salads within 1 mile of this location. The seafood on the ultimate feast was good. The fried shrimp had too much batter, but the scampi, crabs and lobster were pretty good. They should be ashamed to serve a golf ball sized baked potato. This is for the Red Lobster in Sherman. I love the lobster pizza and usually order it if I'm there for lunch. My Mom loves RL too so we went there for lunch this week. I had the shrimp salad with shrimp flatbread. Wonderful. It was like the lobster pizza but smaller and with shrimp. I was stuffed when I left. I love the flatbread and the pizza because the crust is so nice and thin and crispy. Love it. Mom had the fried shrimp and salad. Her's was good and she ate more than she normally does. She only took home 1 piece of shrimp and a new batch of the biscuits. RL biscuits are wonderful. read more

Salmon was dry and cold. Coleslaw had no flavor at all. Mashed potatoes were the only item that wasn't messed up. I was hoping since they are a seafood place that seafood would be tasty. Nope. Stopped here for lunch today after picking up my wife from Dallas Love. Thank goodness we came today. No crowd. We decided to sit in the booth next to the bar. Kellie P. was our server, and let ne tell you... this lady is a ROCKSTAR server. Her main gig is the bartender, bet like i said, we sat in the bar booth, so lucky us. Servers like Kellie P. come along once in.... well not very often. My Wife and I both agree, she's a pro at what she does. Now that ive. Now that we've cleared our server as AWESOME, the food killed it also. Ive been to 1000 Red Lobsters, and this one, by far has had the best tasting food. Kudos chef's. Wife and I had a late lunch yesterday. Service was slow and rolls were half-baked. My wife's grilled flounder was small and grossly over seasoned with a red pepper and her shrimp we're very small and overcooked. My talapia with langostino was Ok, but the langostinos we're the smallest I've ever seen and tasteless. All the food was greasy and left bad after tastes. Way over priced for what it was. We are not sure if this is symtomatic of all Red Lobsters or just this one. We will think hard before returning. read more
