I haven't been here in a long time because I prefer small or non-chained seafood restaurants. To start out, service was a little slow but the restaurant was packed. No problem, it was Friday night so that was understandable. The portion size was big and we all enjoyed our meal. The only downside was all our food came out lukewarm. The ambience was standard and I was surprised at how clean the place was during the Friday night rush. Good job to the staff!!! What a blessing for this restaurant that you cannot rate 0 stars. I came with my family to this location for everything you would expect from Red Lobster; the bread and a meal with family. As we walked in the time to be sat was almost instantaneous, that is credit they should hold. However, as we walked the restaurants ambiance was lacking, it was dead with only a handful of people inside, and soon would we find out why. We were served by an older lady, she seemed well enough. We would order our drinks and then our food, but that was the end of our fantasies. Our server would vanish to the back of the restaurant for 15-20,30 minutes at a time after each interaction. When she would come out, she would tend to empty tables, seemingly ignoring our calls for her. Okay- we thought, maybe she's busy, she'll come around making sure we're good, right? No. Despite the empty restaurant, there appeared to be a more important task than servicing the tables. After a while we would order our food. The server would walk off as we spoke. After a longer while our food would finally come, and it would come staggered for some, lukewarm for others, bad all around. Ignoring the fact that we had to wait longer for fries, French Fries (It happens), if the food is not coming out hot or atleast warm, and it's not coming out all at once, what exactly were we waiting for? This experience ended with us asking our servers attention and them hushing us as we tried to speak to her. After another 30 minute interval of the mysterious disappearance to the back, we received the check to which we paid in cash so to avoid the additional wait. This all took place during a more than 2 hour food service. Much were we waiting more than anything else. Terrible Service. Less than Food. Empty Restaurant, and for Good Reason. Great experience! I decided to come to Red Lobster and try their new seafood boils. Parking is easy. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Inside still looks like typical Red Lobster just decorated with Christmas decor. Our waitress Seana was awesome! She was very knowledgeable on the food and drink menu. My only complaint is I wanted to order the seafood boil that included the crab legs but Seana informed me they were out of crab legs huh? Smh so I settled for the shrimp boil and let me just say it was a lot of shrimp, corn, sausage, and potatoes in that bag! I wasn't mad at all!! My hubby ordered the lobster, shrimp, and salmon plate and it was delicious! Then I ordered the Margarita flight and that was a win! The fried calamari was delicious as well. I will definitely be back to try the crab legs seafood boil. The shrimp boil was like $28 and the crab legs boil is like $40 something... and I will definitely be ordering the flight again as well. The Service: The customer service was pretty good. It too a while for our waiter to appear but once he arrived, he was nice and attentive. The Atmosphere: It's a Red Lobster! You should know what to expect. Ocean/fishing boat vibes. Decent music. The Food: Again, we had the Endless Shrimp and it was standard Endless Shrimp. My family and I ate lunch here and upon entry we were greeted and told the wait would be about 15 minutes. Our waitress Kelly was very nice and friendly. We didn't wait long before she took our food order. We ordered, Cajun Linguine Pasta, White Wine and Garlic Mussels, Hand Breaded Calamari and Walt's Favorite Shrimp. The food was delicious. I haven't been to a Red lobster in over a decade. But when I heard about the crab fest I had to make time after my stretch class. I went when it was the least crowded so I could sit at a back table and stuff my face. It was more work than I remember to break open the legs. It was all worth it when I let the meat soak in the butter while I finished devouring the rest of the legs. Of course the biscuits are always to die for I took them home in my to-go box. Place was decent when you first enter. I'm not sure why there is a wait list if there is not that many customers so that could improve. Food was meh. I didn't like most of what I ate. I think you guys need to improve on your speed when it comes to cooking. If there is a few cooks you guys should let people know. It is not right to wait 20 mins for some crab dip and even worse 15 minutes for some water. At that point don't even bring it to me. Ambience was so off once you sat down. The place felt dead. Came home from a fabulous birthday trip out the country. My man asked if I were hungry on the way home and this place came to mind. Parking is adequate. The outside appearance is your typical red lobster. It's located on the corner of 78 between Stone Mountain and lilburn so easy to get to. We were seated pretty quickly and our server was amazing. She really was nice and sweet and gave us great suggestions. Red lobster. Changes their menu pretty often but I always get the same meal - the lobster Maine with the variety of seafood and linguine noodles. They also had $6 drinks which were nice. All in all - the food and service was great but the place was sooo outdated. It even has that musty smell like you are at your great grandmas house. We only waited for about 10 minutes so that they could clean our table. The table was very clean and our waitress Sinay was so nice. We got there right at the 3pm lunch cut off, but Sinay was able to put my flounder order in so I could get the lunch deal. Coincidentally, it was Tuesday and I had no idea about the crab legs, so I got that for my daughter. The food came out timely and everything was good. If I was to rate this location based on portions, value, and flavor I would give this Red Lobster five stars. I had a very enjoyable 27th birthday meal delivered by Uber Eats during this crazy pandemic and was truly grateful for it. The loss of two stars comes for two different reasons: 1) the shrimp scampi was packed/handled in a way so that 75% of the butter leaked out of the container and into my carry out bag, therefore drenching everything else of course, which made it difficult to take things out and serve without making a big mess, and 2) the clam chowder seemed over priced for a cup and didn't have much filling at all (although the flavor was fine), so for a dollar more, I guess I'd recommend the bowl instead. Other than that, the meal itself was great. The shrimp scampi family meal was a great deal and very delicious. The mashed potatoes and green beans were filling and only mildly seasoned, but went well with the buttery shrimp. The cheddar bay biscuits were thinner than I recall, but still very tasty. Finally, for dessert the vanilla bean cheesecake was amazing! I would almost recommend getting the whole cheesecake next time instead of a slice, because it was that good. It'll run you about $32 for delivery, but would save you money as the slices go about $7+. Very yummy almost custard-like topping and just the right amount of sweet and creaminess. Always a treat to eat at Red Lobster:). Ran in for lunch and I ordered Catfish fillet with Broccoli . The lunch portion is a lot smaller than dinner. The fish was crispy and flaky and the broccoli was tender and seasoned to perfection. Of course the cheddar biscuits are heavenly! She brought out a basket full about 8 biscuits. I had 4! . Greedy! . However, it was my wife's birthday this week and our whole family wanted to go out, so we came here. The best thing is it is very close to us. Our server was Pako on Thursday, July 18th, 2019. He truly was amazing and did everything one could expect from a server. For my appetizer I had their Lobster Bisque. Honestly, it was overcooked and not what I was expecting. Don't even know my waitress name but she was rarely visible or even around when we needed her. I had to get the bus boy to go and find her. Not a good look at all. The restaurant, the staff and food blew my mind! The restaurant is open for dining and since it was a nice day, we sat outside. When I told the hostess we had a toddler, he quickly got a highchair and walked up to our table. The server came soon after with some waters. She answered all questions and made some suggestions for us. After the orders were placed, she returned soon with some hot biscuits. WHAT A SHAME! What a shame is all I can say! I do take consideration of the fact that it is Mother's Day during a pandemic. But good management would make alterations based on the new circumstances. Firstly I made an order online for 2 meals. Their system said that it would be available in 30 mins at 4:15pm. Oh great , so I hop in the car and hurry to the location only to find out that their are 30-40 ppl crowded around the entrance with a security guard blocking the Front door. Surely these people are waiting to get seated I thought to myself. Nope, these people were all waiting for their online orders. And the security guard said that they were about 1.5 hours behind on all orders. Silly me . I decided to wait. 1 hour goes by. The waitress pops her head out the door... maybe 4/5 times throughout the hour and calls the same names of people over and over. (Those people probably got tired and left after waiting so long). 2 hours goes by and maybe a total of 6-8 people have gotten food at all. I proceed to tell the "greeter" that I've been waiting 2 hours. She says ok and talks to someone else. She did not jot down my name , order number or anything. She then disappears for 10 min into the restaurant. She comes out again. Tells this lady that her order has "been ready". At that moment I realized that they did not have a system for reviewing and fulfilling these online orders. The greeter was absolutely useless and wasted a days wages because she did nothing to address the growing number of people. My biggest complaint is with the manager on duty. How could you see this taking place at your store and not make adjustments to your staff/services to address the countless people that you relegated to the parking lot. We're patrons of your business and you don't have the decency to take a list of names of all the people that are there. Or how about call the customer on the phone when the order is ready instead of having people gather outside in Georgia's heat to listen to this greeter faintly say a name when an order is ready. This experience was trash. And the restaurant has to be staying afloat off the name alone. It's definitely not for thoughtful employees, fast service, or smart management. This is the last time I am visiting. There has to be monumental changes at this location if they ever want my $$$. Needless to say Mother's Day dinner consisted of WENDY'S that took all of 7 minutes. My husband and I have this ongoing joke regarding eating at Red Lobster when craving seafood (I will spare the boring details). It's literally been more than 15 years since we've eaten at a Red Lobster so on a whim and a funny, we stopped in last week. We order calamari at every restaurant that sells it when we patronize one. We were pleasantly surprised at the flavor, cook and quality. It was actually tasty. Hubby ordered the flounder sandwich... which was just that.... flounder and brioche bun. Our waitress had so many tables ( we felt badly for her) that he walked over to the bartender and requested tomatoes, lettuce and tartar sauce... and marinara sauce for the calamari. Within 3 minutes we were all set. He was awesome. We tipped him and her. We would actually return for the calamari.. It's better than OG in a pinch and plentiful and will be sure to request to dress the fish sandwich. Went for Endless shrimp on and decided to take home what I could not eat. I started eating my rice and discovered a cockroach in the food. I called the manager Alisha who told me to bring the food to get refund. I got there and was told she was giving the food and my receipt to kitchen manager. He came out and was rude, dismissive and unprofessional. He insinuated that I put the bug in the food and that could call the health department. I left without my refund and reported to the health department and I also notice that they only had a 87 report card. They advertise a curbside process. That is NOT being followed after waiting 10 minutes I proceed come inside. 4 servers in the lobby chatting it up. And they are not even busy. Then I proceed to wait yet another 15-20 mins as someone goes to "check" on my food and never returns. Mind you I paid for this order at 8:30.
