The worst service ever. Until we finally were seated. We went to this restaurant for a family dinner. We got there and out of 5 or 6 workers we stood there waiting to be seated for almost 25 mins. No hostess at front , to the bartender we were non-existent. 3 waitresses didn't bother to say anything to us. It wasn't until I walked over to the bar to ask, that we were then told that someone would be right there. The service was extremely slow taking 40 mins or longer for my dine alone meal at the bar. There was no check to see if drink refills were needed or additional biscuits needed. Even after the food came out no effort was made to ask if everything was OK... I had no silverware, my $40 Ultimate Feast, came with no butter, no crab fork, I had to request tarter sauce which I finally received 20 minutes later. Came here for a late lunch around 4pm and it was empty- maybe 1 or 2 tables, so that was great because I had to be in and out! Ordered with my server Pablo and the food came out swiftly. We had caesar salads- it was not the best. The lettuce was a bit soggy. I order the endless entree and shrimp combo. It wqs delicious! The food was hot and worth it. I would advise you to come when its not busy because I could only imagine when its busy how crazy it would be. If you are not the type to wait and want your food fresh, come at that time. 2 stars because: we went at an off time and our meal took over 2 hours due to waiting for food and not because we wanted to sit around. We went as a family for my birthday and all got the endless shrimp special. Appetizers and drinks all came out within a normal time frame however every entree took an abnormally long amount of time. So with endless shrimp you get to order 2 out of 5 kinds. Once you finish that you can order 1 and then another after you finish that. I only got 1 refill and my other family members got 2. But our meal took over 2 hours when we came with the mindset to eat quickly and get back home. We waited at least 20-25 minutes in between refills and all in all we waited way more than an hours worth of time. Twice our refilled shrimp were COLD! If you're waiting for food then you assume it's because it's being cooked, so why is it cold???? LOL WHAT'S GOIN ON? My biggest gripe with specials like AYCE and ENDLESS is that if you are taking forever to bring out the next dish then you're kind of cheating customers out of it being really AYCE. I will say that our waiter was nice and he did seem busy and kind of overwhelmed so maybe it was too much for him? Everyone also felt kind of sick afterwards too. I come in and everyone seems confused as to why the person didn't make a reservation for me. We are seated took 15-20 minutes to get the waiter over. Took another 15-20 to get biscuits. Another 15 for our drinks. One of them wasn't the right drink. The manager came over to apologize but still no drink that took another 20. Our food was coming out two plates at a time. We had a child with us and he got his food last which you think would come out first. One of us ordered a salad that came out second to last. My sister ordered a rice bowl with the shrimp on the side and no sauce because she's vegan. The managers comes over to say they had to make it again because it had sauce on it. She receives her food and the shrimp is on it. The waiter takes it back. He comes back with shrimp on the side but now half her meal is gone because they scooped off whatever was under the shrimp. She eats around that area and finds shrimp underneath another part of her meal. By then she didn't want to eat anymore. YOU COULD'VE SENT HER TO THE HOSPITAL IF SHE WAS ALLERGIC TO SHRIMP. The manager Stephanie offered to make her something else but she didn't want anything. She took off two of our meals and gave a 20 gift card because of all the trouble we had. Our poor waiter John was a nice guy despite everything. I felt bad that he had to deal with complaints because of poor management. The whole restaurant needs to be retrained or restaffed. This place deserves zero. Horrible service. We ordered endless shrimp and it's not endless. They take forever to bring you 2nd round that it's time for you to go. You can't be sitting here for 4 hours. Asked for their bread again and they told us that they ran out. Meanwhile other tables are getting and table before us was keep getting breads. Came here on a Friday around 6:30pm so naturally I knew there would be a line a people waiting for tables. 25 minutes later, our party of four are seated nearby the bar which is right at the middle of the restaurant. At first, I thought these folks are out of their minds sitting us right in front of the bar (esp when we have kids). Then, I noticed the bar was surprisingly quiet with just a few customers eating so it didn't bother us at all. Our server was quick and on point with our orders, refilling our drinks and of course, more biscuits when we requested. I'm surprised that the food didn't take too long considering how busy they are at this point. I had the trio shrimp platter which consisted of breaded fried shrimps, shrimp scampis, shrimp with Alfreda pasta and baked potato with sour cream and butter. Damn, it was good and very filling. Came to this location after my bad experience at Quakerbridge. We were aknowledged when we walked in and were told it was a 10 min wait. After about about 10 minutes, we were seated. Our server was very nice but I felt bad for her. It seemed as if the restaurant was short-staffed. She was trying her best to tend to her tables. I have zero complaints about her because she was nice and really was working her butt off. Our food was fresh and delicious. My complaint is how dirty the restaurant itself was. The walls and carpet are not clean. The bussers do a terrible job of cleaning. It's like no one there but our server takes pride in their work. Red Lobster used to be at the top of its game and now it's just a mediocre restaurant with a dimly lit and dingy dining room. Our family regularly eats at Red Lobster in several NJ locations. One family member says this location is the best, but I disagree. The staff gets 5 stars for sure, especially Gina! Also, the portions do seem a bit more generous here than the same dish served at other Red Lobsters, so that's a plus. They gave us free extra biscuits last time! For me, the interior is too dark and shabby looking for this to be my favorite Red Lobster. It's a little depressing to sit there even though the food is great. If they renovated it and brightened it up I would like it more. read more

Just dined here and I immediately felt compelled to write this review - that's what a wonderful experience we had. Erin was our waitress and she was incredible. Despite the restaurant being fairly busy, she was very attentive at all times. She made sure to check on us multiple times and asked if we wanted our drinks refilled. Nowadays, that is a rare yet cherished occurrence. She promptly even brought us out extra biscuits upon our request and was even nice enough to send us home with a few since I had a to-go box for our leftovers. This one is a big Red Lobster. They have a bar in the center of the restaurant. A nice big aquarium filled with lobsters. Nice waiting area to sit on. The lighting is nice too, not too dark, not too bright. Staff is attentive and very nice. They are well spoken as well. Biscuits here are always great! Complimentary so we kill about 4 to 5 baskets. 4 to 6 biscuits per basket. There was 6 of us at the time. We got mozzarella sticks, bruschetta shrimp, and calamari w vegetables. That was enjoyable. I got my usual jumbo coconut shrimp with side order of rice, and caesar salad. Awesome! Dessert, they have a new one called Cookie Lava Cake...SICK! with a side order of vanilla ice cream. This was my first time visiting Red Lobster in more than a year. I have had good experiences at this location in the past however I will not ever venture to this location again. Someone apparently scanned my receipt because when I got home and tried to scan my receipt it told me that my rewards was already scanned. I have 0 rewards on my account. This has to single handedly been one of the worse dining experiences of my life. It was that bad. I visited this location yesterday at almost 6 pm which is normally a busy time for dinner. The hostess taking names seemed so frazzled and panicked giving out wait times. It wasn't that busy yet so relax. She told us our wait time would be 5-10 minutes which is fine, upon walking in I can give you the managers name (which was Mike) and down to the shirt and tie he was wearing (a lovely purple) because she called him over that many times when only 2 parties were waiting. (We were 5, the other was 4). We were seated shortly after and our waitresses name was Regina. I have to say I was pretty impressed with her memory because she wrote nothing down so kudos to her. I'm not sure how it works, she was a good waitress, funny and quirky. However the servers helping her to bring the food out was just plain TERRIBLE. Half of our order was given and then we were flagging down Regina for the rest. My endless shrimp ended with the 1st order because when I ordered the 2nd time it didn't come out until the bill did. Strange. We couldn't get water refills to save our life (luckily i had a bottle of water in my bag... see attached pic that's how damn thirsty i was.) The sides we waited for came out a half hour after constantly asking for them. Got the endless shrimp (scampi, Fettuccine Alfredo and Walts favorite), plus the Langostino Lobster-Artichoke-&-Seafood Dip, with a garden salad and an order of 12 biscuits (my favorites!) This was the worst, overall I've ever gotten. The dip was inedible, as was the scampiand alfredo. Even my beloved biscuits weren't right. I had this delivered from door-dash which was on time and courteous. I hope this was just a freak accident, as I will give them another try. The food was average, as always the best thing were the biscuits, Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuit wins the biscuit Award hands down. By the time I had eaten 2 biscuits & 1/2 of my salad I was too full to eat my entree; however I tasted everything, the Lobster was good, the fried shrimp were soggy, they should have put them on a separate plate the way they did the Shrimp Scampi. As for the shrimp scampi, I've had better. The baked potato was good, the crab legs were okay, but the rice pilaf was horrible because it lacked flavor. As I was greeted and served by Serenity my waitress who had the absolute most awesome personality and Customer Service skills. However her boss needs to learn from a page of her hospitality book. My cell died and I was unable to open my app and Serenity offered my her personal reward offer for a free dessert a slice of cheesecake which I thought was such a wonderful gesture of customer satisfaction I was just overwhelmed with her hospitality. However she returned to the table to tell me her boss told her I need to find a way to charge my cell and No I could not except her kind offer. I spent over $60.00 eating alone. My point was how much would it have cost Red Lobster to allow me the cheesecake because of my cell died and I could pull up my app!!! I came to Red Lobster for me and my girlfriend's anniversary and I have to say that I was expecting a little bit better than what we got. I'm a big fan of seafood and I know that it is usually on the pricey side, but the prices here are a bit higher than most places and it's a chain. To start we both got drinks and of course they don't tell you the price, which I usually don't mind, but they don't give you that much and they charge you over $9.50. I know ordering drinks is expensive, but come on. I got one of the feast platters that came with shrimp and lobster and veggies. The taste was very good and honestly there was a decent amount of food on the plate, but I'm not convinced that it warranted the near $30 price tag. There are other seafood places in the area that serve similar food at better quality. Of course, there are also places that serve much worse food, so you get what you pay for in some cases. Overall, I wouldn't say that Red Lobster is anything to write home about. They are a chain restaurant, so that kind of tells you what you're going to get. I feel like they are stuck in the past a bit because other seafood places in the area are more upscale and fancy. The food is what we want, served hot from the kitchen. Very tasty, and nice appearance. Great timing between courses; the servers helped each other, and are personable and friendly.
