Entire family (5) on 12/23/21 had dinner. Later on 12/22/21 we where talking about dinner. I had clam chowder/ bacon wrapped scallops, daughter had a steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli , wife stuff mushrooms , both sons breaded shrimp. 1. Clam chowder tasted as if watered down to make it last ,very little flavor. Scallops over cooked rubbery. 2. Daughters steak at best was eatable, she said there was a filmy taste (son who was visiting from Ca. Stated he thought the same thing on the steak he had the night before). Potatoes where lukewarm at best. 3. Wife's stuffed mushrooms way under cooked. 4. Both sons stated there shrimp was cool, meaning not hot. Old place. Old clientele. Took a bit to get seated even though it was slow. Dark inside and hard to see. Food came out at odd times. Portions were small, much smaller than the picture showed. Wanted a casual dinner my husband ordered the 7oz surf and turf but got no surf. His plate looked like cafeteria food, he did enjoy the stake. I know what you are thinking. One....... what is he doing in Vantucky and number two, why is he at Red Lobster? I do not frequent chain restaurants if there is a choice involved. Red Lobster in Vantucky.....really? Good news is they called us and told us, and we arrived about 5 minutes before being seated. Perfect! The host had a great personality and explained the specials etc. Matt was our server and he showed up shortly. For being as busy as they were he didn't rush us and took time to explain everything. The 4 of us decided on the 4 courses for $14.99 and it looked to be a decent deal for what you get. You have a choice of soup, salad, entree and dessert. Susan and I had: Clam Chowders, Cesear Salads,, Scallop and Shrimp Linguine , Jumbo Coconut and Pineapple-Grilled Shrimp, and Key Lime Pie and Apple Crostada. The chowder was very good, it had perfect consistency. The Caesars were nothing special, the Scallop and Shrimp linguine was also very good, It too had the right amount of sauce. The Key Lime Pie and Apple Crostada were forgettable. And of course we had the cheese bisquits which are one of the best things they do, All in all 3 stars for the food. Matt on the other hand was fantastic. I would give 5 stars +. He was one of the best servers I have encountered in a long time especially under these busy circumstances. I highly recommend you request either Ryan or Kayla as your server and neither one of them will disappoint you. I also love how the menu has changed frequently through the years. There are some nights when everything when everything just worked for an exceptional dining experience. This was one of those nights. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I didn't have very long to wait And then there the was the food. Along with my favorites, the shrimp cocktail and cheese biscuits, the Panko breaded Argentinian Red shrimp was a pure delight to my taste buds along with the vanilla bean cheese cake with strawberries. I'm not typically a fan of chain restaurants but some friends wanted to have dinner at Red Lobster so I figured, why not?! Besides it was Lobsterfest and I love lobster anyway. We got on the waiting list as they do not take reservations and waited only about 30 minutes for a table. We were seated and greeted by a cute and funny server named Dave who we really liked. After this great intro to Red Lobster is where everything went awry. I was really looking forward to having Live, Maine Lobster but they were OUT OF THEM during LOBSTERFEST! Then we had to flag someone down to open our wine, bring the famous biscuits to the table, bring some water, bring our salads...etc..It was painful how inept and horrible the service was. Our friends were embarrassed that they suggested the place. As if things weren't already terrible, our entrees come out while we were still waiting on soup and salads. It was suggested that our soup and salads could be "wrapped up" so we could take them home and just accept our entrees as they were already made. We respectfully denied that option, saying that we wanted to enjoy our soup and salads BEFORE our entrees as they should be. Not only that but we expected freshly cooked entrees at the proper time with nothing microwaved. The manager came by, apologized and offered to comp dessert which we appreciated. I did point out to him that I overheard him also apologizing to the table behind us and that Red Lobster was having a rough night. So, we eventually get our soup and salads, finish that course and receive our entrees. After everything we'd been through during the dinner from hell, our entrees came out not fresh but MICROWAVED!! Unbelievable!! We rightfully asked that they be made fresh as the mistake was THEIRS, not ours. By then we were too tired and hungry to continue fighting for every single thing and just wanted to eat...ANYTHING...just something edible which our entrees were, just the wrong texture and temperature because they had been microwaved after sitting in the window. The fact that they thought they could pull one over on us was the biggest offense of the night. My wife and I ate at Red Lobster for dinner recently. We were treated royally. Our waiter, Jon, was polite, prompt and very efficient. He made suggestions to make a good meal even better. I had the lobster roll and a couple of sides of vegetables and rice. He suggested a menu item that included all of them for less money. My wife had the seaside shrimp trio, it was so large that we took most of it home. Jon helped us pack it all away. It was a great dining experience. read more

We haven't been to red lobster in some time. We will not come back. We both wanted steak and outback was an hour wait where RL was 5 minutes. Guess I know why. I had the sirloin and shrimp and he had sirloin and lobster. The steak was terrible on both. The veggies were uneatable. We paid extra on both to have asparagus that was black from being overcooked. We had to go to catch a movie so I knew if I sent it back we would be late. Service was terrible. Restaurant is old and outdated. So I placed an order online on the 19th, went to pick it up. Showed up at the time it said it will be ready but it wasn't. That didn't bother me so I waited, got the food and came home. Ordered clam chowder and the bar lobster bake. So my chowder wasn't even chowder at all. It was pure liquid. No potatoes, no clams. Nothing. Called them and spoke with the manager, they gave me a option, refund or come get another one. I chose refund. It's been a week and no refund happened. She said most likely they just scooped the top and that's why there wasn't anything. Prior to this we got chowder to go few months ago and it was very watery too. Barely anything in it. Not sure what I expected, but I'm not surprised. If you would like to order and pickup do not expect service. The young lady at the front was very polite, however after letting her know I was there to pickup an order she directed me to the bar and said the bartender would grab my order for me. After standing at the bar for nearly 2 minutes listening to the "bartender" sexually harass a coworker and watching her play on her phone (I assumed she was working as she was standing in front of the Point of Sale system), with her back turned, she abruptly walked away and I stopped her, asking for my order. In the end she was cordial and promptly returned with my "food". Mistakenly this order was placed online, which was convenient, but doesn't prepare you for the disgustingly microwaved fish and shrimp that you receive. In the end, the salad and "nuked" potato were all I could bring myself to eat. The cheddar biscuits, which seem to be very popular, were soggy and unpleasant. It's been many years since I've stopped by a Red Lobster, and it appears it will be several more before my stomach forgets this fine food. Parents requested so we gave it a try. Service was very good. The food was mediocre at best. My salad had very few pieces of lettuce and what was there was the pale and tough ends of the leaf. My husband's Alfredo tasted like it was made from the same base of the soup. The coconut shrimp came with a sweet tartar sauce. Not sure if that was the pina colada sauce? I asked for cocktail sauce (which was the best tasting item I received, not being caddy...it was good). It greatly improved the shrimp. My mother in law had the lobster bisque. Same cheese sauce flavor found in the Alfredo. Thank goodness their biscuits are filling. For the prices they charge I believe the food quality should be much better. The service was great! Your recipes need improvement as does the quality of your ingredients. Give your servers something worthy of the quality of their service. read more

The server Susan was unbelievable unavailable. She walked in several times and never even looked our way. Never gave us a refill. We had to keep asking the other staff for butter and sugar for the ice tea, napkins etc. I took my son here because I told him about the great service EVERYTIME. I have not had service this bad in a long time. You cannot have good food without good service it just messes up the whole experience. I only give it 2 stars because the crab was decent. I took my girlfriend and daughter here on a Sunday evening. She ordered the create your own for 18.79 which includes 2 accompaniments. She ordered the Walt's favorite shrimp and asked if she could do the New York steak instead of the sirloin. The waiter said no problem and I ordered the crab pot. Long story short when we got the check they charged her 18.79 for the create your own and 10.99 for the upgrade to the New York steak. So what the hell did the 18.79 pay for? The shrimp and salad??? I understand a little bit more for a New York Steak. (trust me when I say I can make a much better steak at home than the shit they are serving)!! At no time did the waiter tell us it was going to be 11 more dollars to upgrade to that steak. When we questioned him about it he simply just comped us 5 dollars and said don't worry about it. We wanted it broken down. We wanted an explanation at the very least. This idiot didn't even grab a manager or anything. He just copped an attitude and walked away. Well I hope you liked getting no tip asshole!! I think from now on I'll eat at the other places close by like La Costa......now they have great customer service and amazingly good food. I ordered the Baked Harbor Lobster and two of the half's of lobster were not cooked fully..the shrimp was curled put strangely not pink & white but clear like see through, the broth was watery with no hint of white wine flavor. The cook recooked some shrimp and it came out the same way, I googled cooked shrimp and found none that resembled the ones served! When we were seated we noticed the manager reviewing an associate right next to us. We could hear everything, he was taking about her shifts and how she couldn't ask for time off, the girl couldn't get a word in. We received our food and both our server and food were great, but as the night progressed we kept seeing the same manager review different associates in a sort of demeaning manner, all throughout the restaurant. We then realized that none of the servers really smiled, or were very talkative. Came here for my birthday lunch last Sunday & it was great. I've been to many, many Red Lobsters before but what made this one better were all the employees. Our waitress was a really sweet African American girl who was very attentive. The restaurant was really busy because it was lunch time on a weekend, however, this waitress was wonderful! Went here on my 12 year anniversary dinner date. When we got there everything was fine. We sat down and waited for our waiter. He came around and spoke in a very creepy low voice, but it made my husband and I chuckle. We ordered our food and the reason for the lack of one star is because the food had wayyyyy too much oil or butter or something. My husband ordered the parm crusted chicken Alfredo and it was swimming in the butter sauce. I ordered shrimp Alfredo it too had tons of butter oil sauce.
