I just finished what may be THE BEST meal I've ever been served at Red Lobster. Best food and best service. My server Sherri was very friendly and efficient She anticipated and exceeded my expectations. My meal, the Three Choice Feast consisted of Walt's Fried Shrimp, Parrot Bay Coconut Shrimp and grilled Atlantic salmon. I always worry about salmon on the grill, as the tendency is to cook it to death. I told Sherri I wanted it to be cooked to a medium, so it remained moist. I wasn't disappointed. It was like BUTTER! My compliments to the grill master! I asked her to package up the coconut shrimp, as I knew the wife would enjoy them for lunch the next day. Sherri delivered them boxed up and with TWO sauces to boot. Well done Sherri. My Walt's Fried Shrimp were cooked perfectly as well. Crunchy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Compliments to the fry cook. Sherri even brought extra Cheddar Bay biscuits so I could take some home too. My wife will be pleased. All in all 5+ stars. read more

I was so over Red Lobster until I came to this one. I haven't been here too many times, four to be exact. The first three were great! We went for dinner and the service was excellent as so was the food. The last time we went it was during lunch and it was a very bad experience. The hostess was rude and dismissive and the food was bland. Shrimp had a weird taste. There was a mom letting her kids run around yelling and the poor waitress had to manover herself around them while serving food. If I could give 10 stars I would. First off the waiter Logan was excellent. I can't give him enough phrase I've been out to plant restaurants in my lifetime, and he was the best yet. Even if the food wasn't good, I would still give five stars just because of him. The food was excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever. It was exquisite. I've never had a bad experience at this particular Red Lobster that sticks out in my memory. I've been going here since I was a very small child. Recently we had a super nice waitress. She was calm, efficient, and wonderful. I believe her name was Kaitlyn (I hope I'm spelling it correctly). She asked if we were celebrating anything and I said "No" really quickly, whereas my mother said "Yeah, it was her birthday last week!", I responded with an awkward, "Nooooooo." Because... I hate that. We went through the meal and I forgot about it, but at the end of Kaitlyn came over and asked "So, I won't bring them over to sing to you but do you want a sundae for your birthday?" I thanked her for catching on to my fear of people loudly singing to me in front of a bunch of strangers. In that moment I loved her. Is that weird? Sorry! My food was amazing as per usual. I got the Ultimate Feast. Which is SERIOUSLY amazing if you want a few different things. It comes with a lobster tail, some crab legs, shrimp scampi, some fried shrimp, rice, and your choice of side. We ate at the red lobster restaurant in Vancouver on March 29, we have eaten there many times before. We both ordered the trout. It was the worst trout I have eaten in 70 years. It was obviously previously frozen, and as a result it was under cooked and tasted like it had had 6 ounces of rancid fish oil poured on it. I ordered a steak (med rare) and shrimp combo. The steak came out so grissly that it was extremely difficult to cut. After about 5 min of trying to cut into this thing, I gave up out of frustration. I literally could not cut one piece off because of the gristle. The super nice server came over and I explained my predicament. Got a new steak... hooray, however I was not really liking the seasonings (?) on the meat. It was supposed to be a peppercorn steak but something was still not right. It was either a "weird" peppercorn seasoning or the quality of the meat was messed up. I still ate it cause I didn't want to cause extra trouble since I'd already sent one steak back. Of course, as I was waiting for this new steak, the rest of the meal got cold. Very disappointed for $20.00! I've cleaned up my diet since the last time I was here. This would have been four to five stars fifteen years ago, but this chain has gone downhill in just about every way since then. But still, the food is adequate. The biscuits are still good (not as good as they used to be) and the portions are good-sized. I usually get the salmon, baked potato, and walt's favorite shrimp with a salad. Not bad for the money. The salmon is usually either a little too dry or too slimy, the baked potato doesn't come 'loaded' like it used to, but the worst thing is definitely walt's shrimp... I don't know who 'Walt' is, but I doubt its still his favorite. They are now square and weird tasting the last couple times we ordered them, so we actually asked the waitress and she told us what the problem was. She wasn't supposed to probably, but the breaded shrimp is no longer breaded and prepared at the restaurant. They are breaded at a central location and then shipped in. They are horrible now and I can't order them anymore because of it. Of course, we don't come here at all anymore. I had dinner here with my husband we got the all you can eat shrimp for $14.99, a half dozen raw oysters, and I ordered a drink called Allotta Colada. Each order of shrimp was delicious, I ate 8 orders lol, my husband had about 14+ plates. I've always liked Red Lobster even though seafood isn't my first choice for cuisine. The food is always satisfying and the Cheddar Bay Biscuits are the best around. No restaurant's biscuits compare. The downside of this place is the price. It's one of the pricier places to eat so I don't make it a habit of going there often. Service is usually up to par, with the exception of this last visit. Although the waiter seemed friendly and receptive to our needs, conversation with him was a little awkward. I felt like, on occasion, he didn't know how to respond to our remarks or questions. After he dropped off our entrees, he told me to "have fun". I'm still not quite sure what he was getting at exactly. I'm giving kudos to Red Lobster because this is the first time I've ever eaten here and I was pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of the food. I was talking to a customer at the store I work at and she said she worked at Red Lobster so I decided to go there for dinner to try it out based on her recommendation. You get a lot of food for your money there. I had salmon and shrimp which came with cheddar bay biscuits and a salad for about 15 bucks. My husband had 3 items for his main course and it was about 20 bucks. My only complaint was that the shrimp scampi had a little too much butter on it.
