So the bonus daughter, the Wife, and I rolled into Red Lobster in Waldorf for an early dinner and a little family decompression. We walked in and... nothing. The hostess stand was emptier than a seafood tank after Lobsterfest. After a few minutes, a young employee materialized, looked at us, and declared "three." My Wife, being the friendliest human in the tri‑county area, hit her with a "Yes, and how are you doing?" The young lady responded with the ancient hospitality tradition known as walking away without answering. A bold choice. She seated us on the bar side, where the air was doing its best impression of a warm hug. Thankfully, someone in the back must've read our minds because the AC kicked on like a hero entering the third act of a movie. Then came Mican -- our waiter, our guide, our dinner hype man. He arrived with enough energy to power the AC himself. Drinks were ordered: Bonus daughter: Berry Bourbon Smash Wife: Tito's Spiked Strawberry Lemonade Me: The legendary, undefeated, always‑reliable Red Lobster Mudslide While the Wife debated starters like she was choosing a college major, Mican gently steered her toward the Crab Queso. Waters arrived with lemon on the side, and then the moment we all secretly came for: Cheddar Bay Biscuits. We attacked those biscuits like woodland creatures who hadn't eaten since spring. I looked around to make sure no one saw us behaving like National Geographic footage. Coast was clear. Back to pretending we were civilized. Drinks arrived -- and let me tell you, my Mudslide wasn't just good. It was outstanding. The Wife and bonus daughter tasted it and immediately understood why I treat it like a personality trait. Mican informed us that James the bartender crafted our drinks. I told him to let James know he's now my official Red Lobster Mudslide maker for life. That man has a calling. The Crab Queso hit the table. The Wife loved it. Bonus daughter said it was good. I... did not. I tried it twice, just to be fair, and both times my taste buds filed a complaint. Then the entrées arrived, and the table went silent -- the universal sign of good eating. Bonus daughter: 7oz Sirloin, broccoli, potatoes -- ordered well‑done, because she refuses to believe in the magic of a little pink.Wife: Salmon New Orleans, broccoli, baked potato (everything but sour cream), Caesar salad. I haven't been to Red Lobster in ages. Biscuits aside, it's normally not on my radar. I attended a can't-miss celebratory event. I arrived with low expectations and didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by the appetizers. Here's what I had: SANGRIA -- Super duper sweet. I love sweet, but this was overkill. Disappointing because I love sangria. MOZZARELLA STICKS -- So good! I'd come back just for these. CHEDDAR BAY BISCUITS -- ...and these! No brainer. IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, AVOID THIS PLACE!! When we arrived, there were very few customers, so seating wasn't an issue. Unfortunately, they do not have an allergen/gluten free menu and the staff is not well versed in any allergies. It wasn't until I asked for a manager that I was able to get their binder that shows allergens. There is an inherent risk of cross-contamination bc lack of education, or even caring frankly. The manager made me feel like I was a huge inconvenience even though the restaurant was less than 1/3 full. One of the two items I could order was crab legs... fine, I like crab legs. I opted for the meatier ones (bairdi?) since it was only half a pound. Well, they were very sharp/spiny and Red Lobster had no utensils to crack them open. Needless to say, my hands were raw and I had to enlist my husband's help for the claws. What seafood place doesn't have the shell crackers? Also, when my food came out there was nothing to indicate that mine was allergen-related. To make matters more frustrating, we had to remind our server repeatedly for the condiments that we requested when ordering and for drink refills. While we had 8 people in our party, I was the only one with food allergies, so it wasn't complicated. He was very nice but very forgetful. I normally like coming here for date night. The ambiance is relaxing and quiet. The staff is friendly and the food is decent. However, the last time we were here there was a man in the corner jerking off and I was disgusted. The craziest part was the wait staff kept interrupting him but never outrightly told him to stop or leave. If they didn't want to confront him then at least call the police. My wife & I had an amazingly good meal here recently. We both ordered shrimp (grilled and fried) which were both excellent. Drinks were yummy and service by our waiter Micah was spot on. We went about 1:30 on Sunday and were seated immediately. I had the Ultimate (fried) platter with fries, Cole slaw and a beer. On Saturday, February 28, my husband and I dined at Red Lobster (11035 Mall Circle, Waldorf, Maryland) to redeem a $75.00 coupon I had received on January 9. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. My husband and I waited approximately 10 minutes before our server approached the table to take our appetizer and drink orders. My husband ordered a Pepsi and Popcorn Shrimp, and I ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque along with a Sunset Passion Colada. I asked the server whether oyster crackers were available for the soup; he stated he would check but never followed up. After waiting about 10 minutes, I began eating my soup without crackers so it would not get cold. My husband's drink arrived about 10 minutes later, while mine took approximately 30 minutes. Both beverages contained excessive ice, which diluted my Colada. After returning home and reviewing the drink menu, I noticed the Sunset Passion Colada includes a choice of strawberry, raspberry, or peach topper. I was never asked for my preference; the bartender selected raspberry without consulting me. I later ordered a second Sunset Passion Colada because I enjoyed the drink, but again I was not asked for a topper preference and raspberry was chosen. The second drink had an appropriate amount of ice and was much better prepared. My husband also ordered a second Pepsi, which was forgotten. He had to stop eating and remind the server before it was brought to the table. For entrées, my husband ordered the Lobster Lover's Dream (Dragon Teriyaki Lobster, Lobster Pasta au Gratin, Rock Lobster Tail, and hush puppies). I ordered the Create Your Own Ultimate Feast with Maine Lobster Tail, Grilled Sirloin, Walt's Shrimp, Shrimp Alfredo, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Crab Mashed Potatoes. When my meal was delivered, the Crispy Brussels Sprouts were missing. The server only realized the oversight after I mentioned it, and the item was brought out 10-15 minutes later. Additionally, the Crab Mashed Potatoes were excessively salty. Our server did not check on us until we were nearly three-quarters finished with our meal. My husband rated the food quality a 7 out of 10 and noted that the men's restroom was clean. I rated the food a 5 out of 10. The women's restroom had used paper towels on the floor, and the toilet paper cover in the first stall was detached, creating a potential safety hazard. The dining area itself appeared unclean, with debris and food particles visible on the floor. Overall, the service delays, lack of communication, food inconsistencies, and cleanliness concerns made this a disappointing experience. As regular diners who typically tip 20% or more, this was the first time we felt the service did not warrant a gratuity. Every time I dine at this location I'm disappointed and tell myself never again but hubby loves seafood. Red lobster Waldorf location needs to be shut down! This restaurant is dark and dirty. The service is horrible, took forever to get food and when food finally arrived it was flavor less, and over cooked. I ordered an expresso martini and it was so thick with cheap liqueur I couldn't even suck it out of a straw. My daughter's burger was still frozen in the middle. Don't get me started on the baked potato that supposedly came with crab sauce topping that looked so beautiful in the picture but the reality of it will have you gasping. This is the THIRD time I've ordered the Bairdi crab legs meal and received regular crab legs at the inflated price. After paying a delivery fee and tipping, the only thing the managers on duty can say is they can't do a refund and to come back in and they'll give me the correct order. Today, they told me they don't even sell Bairdi crab legs anymore but they accepted the order and took my money. Needless to say I will not be spending another dime at Red Lobster. Ambience is perfect with the small hum of music and kitchen clatter that permeates over a dimly lit meal. If you sit in the bar area, there are two small TVs, playing the latest game fight and/or trending show, but don't look for them to play the sound. The bartenders are cool and know how to somewhat pour, but continually complain about and act like they don't want to be there because they're juggling so much and probably underpaid - managing to go orders drink tables bar orders and then some. The food is typical for red lobster but glad for the upgraded seasonal menus and classic kitchen favorites. I came during shrimp fest, and had a whole good time. If you like sweet alcoholic beverages, they have a myriad of frozen, bubbly and still options. Always appreciative of the cheddar bay biscuits, especially when they come out warm. Don't forget to ask for a biscuit bag, if you can not eat them all, or if you order any Togo. If they could give "half stars" I would give this location a 3.5. Ok, oK, OK... this place is NOT!! I wanted crab legs... the only place in the area we found them. It's The Lob right!? Almost like Dennys these days! You don't come for the atmosphere or service really. We were sat quickly by a beautiful young lady named Destiny. Then our experience went down hill. I ordered crab legs. My baby ordered the Fri night fist. (Fried Cod) The crab legs were nearly tasteless. His fish came out real close to burnt! He sent it back. It came back seemingly nicely cooked until he cracked the bread to find dry cod. I wouldn't suggest the Brussel sprouts by the way. So this place DESERVES NEW MANAGEMENT and service!! I decided to grab some dinner at RL tonight . I had not been in a very long time. Maybe over 2 years. Sooooo here I go and walk to the bar. The bartender TREquan is amazing! Great drinks! Had a Margarita (promo item) first one was super sweet but TRE remade it to my liking, a bulleit old fashioned - (superb! ) and a mocha espresso martini for dessert! Now that martini was fire . Additionally for app I had the dragon calamari which was perfection and the sauce was a Thai chili. My entree was the grilled rainbow trout , super delicious and MOIST! that's key for sure. This place is the worst. Every time I come here I am reminded of why I don't come here. I walk in the door at 9:10pm to place a takeout order of sides. I understand that they close at 10pm but there are 4 employees playing in the lobster tank, they never acknowledge me in any way so I head to the bar. No bartender in sight and employees just walk by as if I'm invisible so I proceed to do a mobile order on my phone. As I'm pushing payment someone comes up and is like "you need something"? I resisted the urge to say something petty and explained I put in a mobile order. His response was I don't have any orders I was explaining I just hit pay when he walked away. Now those same employees who were huddled around the lobsters have taken a lobster out and are conspiring on how to scare this other employee with the lobster. I'm still just sitting here waiting to pay for my mobile order. I'm now starting to wonder if I'm actually invisible. Our server's name was Aliyah (spelling?) but she was so sweet and professional! She kept us up to date on our orders and made sure we were well taken care of. Hello Good Evening, I am leaving this review regarding your manager Trequan. ( manager on duty 12/17 @ 7:45) He is very rude. He was not looking for a way to assist with my online order at all. I paid over $100 for my order and was willing to pay whatever I needed to for what I wanted and he was very nasty. No customer service whatsoever. I placed my order through DoorDash and couldn't locate how to make my mash loaded so I figured I'd reach out to the store directly boy was I wrong for doing that. Talking to this guy was like getting hit in the face by a school yard bully. All he was focused on was the fact that the bacon would cost $1.39 which again I was willing to pay to have it put with my delivery order, however he advised me that he couldn't take a card over the phone and there was no way at all to assist with adding the $1.39 bacon to my mash after I just spent over $100. If this is the type of person you all have running your business my family and I will reconsider ever eating here again. This guy insulted my intelligence and my character by saying, "I can't give you something for free because you couldn't find a button." Mind you I was never asking for anything free, just wanted him to help me figure out how I could make the request to have to mash loaded. He needs to go back through training to learn how to deal with the general public, that is not the type of service I want to encounter when spending my money especially when I am willing to pay what I need to pay to get what I want. This guy is a disgrace, he is obviously just there to collect a check, he doesn't not care to represent the face of Red Lobster's establishment in a way that I know owners would want the company ran. Garbage if you're ordering to go check your bags and some expect anything as a human being with common sense would do as far as packing it because as the manager stated to me they have " Standards" that they have to follow. I didn't want a refund no discount I wanted my order done right as if I was a patron in this establishment being seated but they don't do that they throw your doin in a bowl stuff biscuits in a bag if you only order 6 and could care less wether or not they stay whole fall apart or are smashed. The shrimp scampi and cheddar garlic biscuits were great. The fried shrimp was so so. The mashed potatoes were hard as a rock and the green beans were over spiced. I guess it's typical for Waldorf but it used to be much better. The host wouldn't seat us where we wanted even though others were there. Something about servers. She sat us in the noisy bar area. Drink glasses were dirty and overall the place needed cleaning. The food was ok but the environment did not feel welcoming. It may just be me but there was no one like me in the whole place. I try Waldorf because it's close. I'll drive the few extra miles to Alexandria for a relaxing meal where I feel safe and welcome. Stopped in since they were running a for 5 days 5 specials for $15. This day it was the 4 course meal (soup, salad, entree & dessert). Our waitress was courteous & took care to make sure she took our order correctly. I ordered the clam chowder, Caesar salad & Woodfire grilled shrimp. There was only one option for dessert which was a brownie and ice cream. Soup & salad came out at the same time on a plate that held both bowls. The chowder could have use seasoning. Salad was fine.
