Scampi. Tasty going in, a fun adventure coming out

Nothing brings the droves to Red Slobster like a never-ending shrimp special. It's actually wild restaurants like the 'Slob aren't packed on Friday/Saturday nights anymore. There used to be lines out the door, endless shrimp or not. But here we are, now with endless shrimp being offered every Monday, but also this particular Memorial Day weekend as well. I'm sure the employees were thrilled about that. Despite the uphill battle that is any AYCE special, our server, Kaziah, was the absolute best. She was funny and remained in high spirits the entire stay. She legitimately seemed thrilled to be our server. So, she either genuinely felt that way, or she's a damn good actress! Either way, bravo! Not everyone got the shrimp, but we all enjoyed our meals no matter the dish. We even dragged along our seafood-despising friend who said his Cajun chicken pasta was a real homerun. An entire ecosystem of small marine life was obliterated to make this meal possible. But it's ok, my one friend ordered this weird blue cocktail that actually shimmered. It had what looked like confetti floating around. It appeared to be capable of producing its own light. And he just happily drank it. So yeah, he ate a lot of the sea, but now his body is riddled with microplastics, so nature is going to win out in the end.

Husband's lobster and shrimp were undercooked. They made him another meal but plated each item separately?

Do not recommend! We both ordered the ultimate feast. My food was cooked but not hot. Crab legs were very small, most had no meat. Mentioned that to management and it was explained that the crab legs were a bad shipment. Husband's lobster and shrimp were undercooked and opaque in color. Management will make him a new meal. When they brought his new meal out, every item was plated individually? Each plate was extremely hot. We believe they microwaved the food and brought it out to the table as it went in the microwave on separate plates.

This was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had at any restaurant! It was our Valentine's Day dinner plan. We didn't do reservations so I expected a long wait. We were quoted 1 and a half hours which was fine. But there was not nearly enough room in the waiting area! It was so crowded in there. We got there at 5:40 and didn't get sat until 7:50!!! That's over 2 hours since we got there! Once we got sat they where quick with our drinks and biscuits, but the biscuits where under backed. When we got the biscuits we placed our order one surf and turf with potatoes and seasoned broccoli and a lobster boil at around 8:15. Our server didn't check on us once! By 9:20 we had enough waiting and flagged down our server and told her to put our food in boxes. We finally got our food at 9:40! That's 4 hours after we got there!!! That is ridiculous! When we got home we were very disappointed. The lobster tail in the surf and turf was bland and tasted off. ( THE NEXT DAY BOTH ME AND MY PARTNER GOT SICK AFTER EATING ONLY THIS ALL DAY SO BE CAREFUL IF IT TASTES OFF FO NKT EAT IT!!!!). The broccoli that was ordered with it was not seasoned at all! In the lobster boil it said "lobster tails" as in multiple tails. We were very annoyed to find only HALF A TAIL! That was all, along with very mushy corn. (I didn't think to take a photo of the lobster tails before we ate them. But I was able to take one of the broccoli)

    So yummy, pina colada.

One of my favorite restaurants. Date night dinner with my husband. I had the endless shrimp, he had steak and lobster. I had to try the new crap fries. Yummy fries. I had a berry cocktail, I forgot the name, but it was yummy. The biscuits are always delicious too. The service was great, our waitress was on point. Cleared the table each time we had an empty plate. Very attentive and helpful.

This is how it's advertised in the rewards app.

I always have good food here. In case there are millennial hipsters reading this, I'll say it's "on point" or "solid" or whatever words are used to let people know "hey, I'm cool (or at least I want to be)" Tonight was no exception as far as dinner goes... BUT.. I am a rewards member and I got a free piece of cheesecake as a "reward". I ordered it "to go" so I could enjoy it later. Evidently, when you order cheesecake "to go" they have a piece pre-cut, in the fridge, already in a "to go" box, (see photo) which bore a vague resemblance to the picture that was presented to me on the Red Lobster app when I made my selection (see photo). After all that, here's my actual point... the cheesecake just isn't very good. According to my receipt the cheesecake is listed at $7.99. I would not order it again even if I get another freebie. Extremely disappointing. So for tonight it's 4 stars. 5 stars for the dinner, 5 stars for service, 1 star for the dessert.

Me and my stopped by for a New Years Eve dinner. I had the harborside dinner. Which consisted of a broiled Rock Lobster tail, shrimp scampi, and grilled shimp. Everything was cooked and seasond just right. My sides were lobster topped mashed potatoes and side salad with ranch. Here's a hint: dip your lobster in the scampi sauce. That will give it an extra gatlic butter taste. My wife had the lobster, shrimp, and salmon. She said her dinner was awesome. Overall, the experience was solid.

    Biscuits

Food was gross got chicken Alfredo tasted like butter noodles with chicken, biscuits weren't done, waisted money. Service was good though.

I'll be honest, I didn't know much about this place going in, but I'm really glad I went and I'll definitely be back. Walking in, the first thing you'll notice is a beautiful, large fish tank built right into the wall on your right. The restaurant is dim and upscale-feeling, but still very family-friendly and not loud or overstimulating, so you can actually have a conversation. They have both booths and tables, and the space is very open and spread out. As a parent, you can even strategically seat your family in view of the fish tank or the windows to give the kids something to look at. It's great for a casual family dinner, a date night, or even a birthday celebration. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with no ramps, you can roll right in to your table. It's located in a plaza but set apart, so parking was never an issue. Plenty of spots, including handicap parking up front with just a short walk to the entrance. They have a solid variety on the menu including alligator bites, burgers, pasta, salads, and more. It is on the higher end price wise. Most entrees start around $14 and up, and even the kids meals begin at $8.90. The cocktail menu is extensive and the dessert menu is worth a look too. They also have a lunch menu where prices vary a bit more favorably. I ordered the Coastal Cheddar cheeseburger burger with no tomatoes and it was excellent. Very fresh, well seasoned, and served with shoestring fries that were equally on point. They also bring out a ciabatta loaf with butter to start, which was a really nice touch. Food came out quickly (always a plus). The staff is genuinely incredible. There's a tag team mentality where anyone on the floor can help you, refill your drink, or check on your table. My server was very attentive, and even when they got busy someone always stepped in. No reservations needed, at least when I went which was on a Sunday around 1pm. Highly recommend!

My favorite was the Lobster Bisque. It was creamy and deliciously balanced. The clam chowder tasted like "old soup" as per my daughter's review. It was OK, but did taste like it was canned and therefore we didn't eat more than a few spoonfuls of it. (The crab and lobster soups were gone.) We both thoroughly enjoyed the gator bites. They were well prepared and very tender. My daughter enjoyed stated that she was surprised it reminded her more of chicken than what she had expected. The dipping sauce added a nice touch and was not too peppery or spicy. It was well balanced. The seafood gnocchi was filling and flavorful. My daughter enjoyed it and had enough leftover for another meal the next day. I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster roll and ate the whole thing. There was an abundance of fries, which I did not eat. They were good, but did have a bit more of a greasiness than I prefer. The drinks were typical Coke products, which wait staff were attentive to keeping filled. The ambiance is a great place for a casual quality meal with family, friends, work colleagues, or a date. The salt water tank in the "lobby" is always nice to look at. The place is always clean and well maintained. The booths are spacious and you can talk comfortably without being crowded by other patrons. I love this place because the food is always good and the atmosphere is calming with the dim lighting.

I mean I guess it wasn't that long ago, but it feels like a lifetime has passed in between. The bar that night was full of familiar faces. Groups of friends from both Wilson and Wyomissing neighborhoods had been unified with a common aspiration. After nearly two full days of agonizing rain delays, we were all about to witness the Phils bring the city of Philadelphia its first championship in 25 years (since 1983, before so many of us there that night were even born). This isn't Santino's of course, but it's impossible to separate those memories, which is probably the case for many of the folks still coming here who can remember fondly the mingling with family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. I'm glad this remained a restaurant and didn't turn into another spa or something. It's a bit harder to go to a spa and think hey I used to drink Jaegerbombs right over there by the koi pond and speaker playing soothing rainforest sounds. You can tell just by the sequence of naming conventions (from "Santino's" to "Tino's" to finally "State Hill Craft Cocktails & Kitchen") the kind of vibe they're going for here. The "Tino's" era, though brief, proved that you could keep the neighborhood charm and just slightly ratchet up the presentation, especially in the food and bar departments. Over time the menu has shifted from fine-casual Italian to more upscale comfort food, with wagyu meatloaf, lobster mac & cheese, and the always elegant, always dashing meatloaf patty melt. State Hill Craft Cocktails & Kitchen or whatever iteration of dining establishment will be there 15, 20 years from now (Luxe Carwash expansion perhaps) will bring together members of the community that wouldn't ever otherwise cross paths. New friendships will form, and old ones will strengthen. The atmosphere was electric that night in Santino's nearly 20 years ago. Everyone was elated, even people who didn't watch sports were happy because they could see other people were happy. For one night we could push everything else aside, the weight of responsibility and care lifted from our backs. A reminder that joy could be had, and our existences, though flawed, remained full of promise with even better days ahead. This is probably the least helpful review you've ever read LOL

We found Brewer's on Yelp and and were very happy with our visit. Brewer's had a local feel to do it and a lively atmosphere for a Thursday night. The food menu has a large selection of different types of food so almost anyone can find something to eat. Great selection of beer with a lot of regional offerings. Also seem to run a special for different types of alcohol for most nights of the week ($6 large draft IPA beer on Thursday night). I ordered the brisket meatloaf sandwich that came with BBQ sauce and gouda cheese on top. The sandwich was very tasty and I especially enjoyed the pretzel roll it was served on. I liked that I was able to substitute a side of perogies instead of chips. The moon ranch grilled chicken sandwich was a little underwhelming and the moon sauce was the only positive to that sandwich. The service was good and our server checked back in with us multiple times during our visit. There's also a beer outlet with a large selection of craft beer attached to the restaurant so you can take local craft beer home with you. They call themselves a small place with the BIG selection!

My husband and I assessed Austin's differently. He ordered prime rib which he said was nothing short of perfect. Cooked medium rare as requested, tender, juicy -- he savored every bite. I scanned the menu. Nothing jumped out at me. (I generally don't gravitate to steakhouse-type restaurants.) I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs. My point of comparison is Longhorn's which offers more of a bang-for-a-buck, and in my opinion better tasting ribs. Not to say that Austin's aren't good. They are. Based on the popularity of Austin's, it's clear management knows what they're doing. But I think a small salad and baked potato should be available with the price of the entree -- not worth the extra $7 I was going to be charged. The salad is listed as 'field greens,' -- which it's not -- but reading the menu you'll see they mean iceberg and romaine. The salad was good, enhanced by their garlic ranch dressing. We washed down our meals with well-priced drinks: merlot ($8.90) and Blue Moon ($6.90), then splurged on dessert. Austin's flourless double chocolate brownie a la mode is very rich. One order for two adults is plenty. Austin's is aptly described as a family restaurant. A lot of kids. A lot of noise. Service is friendly and on-the-ball. While not my kind of restaurant, if prime rib is your thing -- this could be the place!
