This past weekend, me and my friends went to red lobster after our volleyball tournament to get some late night grub before driving back home. We got an order of bread, which is always amazing then got some calamari and mozzarella sticks as appetizers. These two dishes were amazing and we finished them super quick. I was really happy at the fact that even though some of us on the table did the endless shrimp deal they didn't force everyone to do this as well. This deal comes with one side, so I got broccoli along with the garlic, shrimp, scampi, waltz, fried shrimp, and the shrimp linguine Alfredo. The portion sizes were great and I definitely left full and satisfied. The only caveat was that the food did take a long time to get to the table so be prepared to wait a little. read more

Nothing brings the droves to Red Slobster like a never-ending shrimp special. It's actually wild restaurants like the 'Slob aren't packed on Friday/Saturday nights anymore. There used to be lines out the door, endless shrimp or not. But here we are, now with endless shrimp being offered every Monday, but also this particular Memorial Day weekend as well. I'm sure the employees were thrilled about that. Despite the uphill battle that is any AYCE special, our server, Kaziah, was the absolute best. She was funny and remained in high spirits the entire stay. She legitimately seemed thrilled to be our server. So, she either genuinely felt that way, or she's a damn good actress! Either way, bravo! Not everyone got the shrimp, but we all enjoyed our meals no matter the dish. We even dragged along our seafood-despising friend who said his Cajun chicken pasta was a real homerun. An entire ecosystem of small marine life was obliterated to make this meal possible. But it's ok, my one friend ordered this weird blue cocktail that actually shimmered. It had what looked like confetti floating around. It appeared to be capable of producing its own light. And he just happily drank it. So yeah, he ate a lot of the sea, but now his body is riddled with microplastics, so nature is going to win out in the end. read more

Do not recommend! We both ordered the ultimate feast. My food was cooked but not hot. Crab legs were very small, most had no meat. Mentioned that to management and it was explained that the crab legs were a bad shipment. Husband's lobster and shrimp were undercooked and opaque in color. Management will make him a new meal. When they brought his new meal out, every item was plated individually? Each plate was extremely hot. This was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had at any restaurant! It was our Valentine's Day dinner plan. We didn't do reservations so I expected a long wait. We were quoted 1 and a half hours which was fine. But there was not nearly enough room in the waiting area! It was so crowded in there. We got there at 5:40 and didn't get sat until 7:50!!! That's over 2 hours since we got there! Once we got sat they where quick with our drinks and biscuits, but the biscuits where under backed. When we got the biscuits we placed our order one surf and turf with potatoes and seasoned broccoli and a lobster boil at around 8:15. Our server didn't check on us once! By 9:20 we had enough waiting and flagged down our server and told her to put our food in boxes. We finally got our food at 9:40! That's 4 hours after we got there!!! That is ridiculous! When we got home we were very disappointed. The lobster tail in the surf and turf was bland and tasted off. ( THE NEXT DAY BOTH ME AND MY PARTNER GOT SICK AFTER EATING ONLY THIS ALL DAY SO BE CAREFUL IF IT TASTES OFF FO NKT EAT IT!!!!). The broccoli that was ordered with it was not seasoned at all! So sad what has happened to Red Lobster. First, they would not answer their phone. Twice I was on hold for 15 minutes and they never answered. Next, their specials board in the lobby still had a drink special called the Mistletoe, that had been there since the holidays. The only positive about our experience was our server. We were there around 3 pm, so it was very slow, but she was excellent. We could not taste even a trace of alcohol in our pina colada cocktail. We were there specifically for Lobster Fest. Shocking- a small 1 1/4 lb lobster dinner was $52.99!! Come on. The baked potato that came with my meal was very small and so overdone that I couldn't get the knife through the end of it. Even the cheddar bay biscuits have suffered from years past. They were flat, greasy and hardly had any cheddar in them. Thank goodness the lobster tails were decent. I'm home sick and was really looking forward to having a good dinner. Since l'm contagious and feel like complete hell, the Rapid Red Curbside was perfect. I took the time to sign up for rewards, download the app and pick out my order and I'm given a time of 30 minutes. It's 25 degrees out and I think I mentioned I'M SICK so I bundle up and head over there at the exact time I was told to be there. After waiting for over 10 minutes, I called to see if they had forgotten about me. She has me on hold for several minutes then comes back and says it's not ready. I'M SICK and don't want to stay out sitting in a parking lot so l ask if I can cancel the order and get a refund. She says she has to speak with a manager and this time l'm on hold for 7 minutes before I hang up and call back. Now I'm told by the person on the phone that she thought her manager already picked up and talked to me. I told her no and said I just wanted to know if I could leave - was I being refunded. She said she couldn't tell me that and I had to talk to the manager. After spending almost another 5 minutes on hold, the manager, Evelyn, gets on the phone and says, "oh, that was cancelled. I thought that was what you wanted." UNREAL! They cancel the order and still leave me sitting out in the parking lot, on hold, knowing l'm sick, feel horrible, want to get back in my bed but can't leave without the managers ok. I'm so damn mad right now that l'm probably going to cry after I hit send on this. I am now finally home an hour after throwing a winter coat, hat, scarf and gloves on over my pajamas because I'M SICK but l'm home with no dinner. I'm livid! I always have good food here. In case there are millennial hipsters reading this, I'll say it's "on point" or "solid" or whatever words are used to let people know "hey, I'm cool (or at least I want to be)" Tonight was no exception as far as dinner goes... BUT.. I am a rewards member and I got a free piece of cheesecake as a "reward". I ordered it "to go" so I could enjoy it later. Evidently, when you order cheesecake "to go" they have a piece pre-cut, in the fridge, already in a "to go" box, (see photo) which bore a vague resemblance to the picture that was presented to me on the Red Lobster app when I made my selection (see photo). After all that, here's my actual point... the cheesecake just isn't very good. According to my receipt the cheesecake is listed at $7.99. I would not order it again even if I get another freebie. Me and my stopped by for a New Years Eve dinner. I had the harborside dinner. Which consisted of a broiled Rock Lobster tail, shrimp scampi, and grilled shimp. Everything was cooked and seasond just right. My sides were lobster topped mashed potatoes and side salad with ranch. Here's a hint: dip your lobster in the scampi sauce. The food is well prepared, and nicely presented. Unfortunately the biggest drawback here is the waiting. So much waiting! We waited about 15/20 minutes (after being quoted 5mins) and were skipped over multiple times. I had to approach the counter and remind them we were still waiting. After we were seated we waited for a server. She was prompt in ensuring that our table was stocked with the delectable biscuits. We waited almost an hour for our food to arrive at our table... but it was delicious, despite the limited menu. Pretty much everything involves shrimp and less alternative options. That was disappointing as there was no extension of stuffed flounder, salmon, crab, mahi-mahi, etc... I would not recommend based on promptness and limited options. If you're in a hurry or would like a intimate experience this is not the place to go. (A tantruming child was seated right next to us and immediately behind an older lady who did her best to enjoy her meal experience. There were other open areas in the same area that would have provided a more positive dining experience for all involved by more appropriate social distancing.) Bathroom was mostly clean and well stocked. We may give this another chance in the future to redeem itself, but as of now- we're not in a rush to return. The only thing that was great about eating here was the server. The hostess you could not hear at all. We ordered the seafood stuffed mushrooms for an app, and one wasn't even stuffed with anything. May 5th went to our local Red Lobster, horrible service... place was so slow because of most people were looking to enjoy Mexican. Ordered drinks and the lobster dip, learned years ago to not order main entree till half way though the appetizer.... We ordered salads, potatoes and shrimp. Waited and waited waitress said your food will be right out, i asked for our salads. Opps, sorry I can put them in a go box, i want my dinner not a take out. The meal comes with the salads, ran out of the pina colada dipping sauce, no waitress checked on us for 15 minutes. It has been a little over a year since we have visited this restaurant. I am usually pleased with the service and food. On 8/23/19, we arrived around 5:00 with a family of 4. We were not greeted as soon as we entered and three staff were standing in hallway to main dining room talking. Once we were greeted we were seated promptly. The restaurant was not busy and there were many empty tables in our section. We sat for 15 minutes. Nobody greeted us. Nobody offered us drinks. Nobody said, "we'll be right with you." My husband went to the hostess station to ask for the manager. We waited another 3 minutes and he/she did not come to our table. We walked out after 15 minutes. We have no plans to return to this restaurant anytime soon due to the horrible service. read more

We had a family visit yesterday for the 2018 Endless Shrimp! We were there at noon on Labor Day, and there weren't many customers in the restaurant at all - so you'd think our food would come out in a timely manner, right? Well .... While our appetizer salads came out promptly, it took half-an-hour for our shrimp to be served. Our server gave some kind of excuse for the restaurant kitchen not quite being ready for the endless shrimp entrees. Once the shrimp came out, our server was very nice to put in for our next choice of shrimp right away - and everything else came out pretty timely. So that was the saving grace. The restaurant, tables, and silverware were clean - but the bathroom (men's room, at least) had a very, very slippery floor, and was rather dangerous for someone on sneakers to tread through (as I was). I'm very disappointed with the service here. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes to 1 hour and we were left waiting for 1 hour and 25 minuets. My step father is diabetic and his sugar dropped while we were waiting. I told the hostess to please let us know how much longer because my step father's sugar is low. I went to the bar area and asked the bar tender for a soda and he was kind enough to give me one for my step father. Our server Hannah was very nice. I'm very dissatisfied with management. Meh, was hoping with all the positive reviews that the old Red Lobster was back. Nope! Our Server was good, but that was the only positive. We had to hunt down someone to seat us after waiting 5 minutes at the empty Hostess Stand. Tasted my husband's Lobster Bisque and it was was wayyy too salty. Then entrees came out . . . not sure what they have changed/done to their Coconut Shrimp. They were very spicy for some reason, plus they were on the verge of burnt from too much time in the fryer. My meal also had a grilled Lobster Tail that had no flavor at all. So disappointing. BEWARE the Tabletop Payment Machines - - ours double-charged our tip and the totaled bill does not appear on screen! The Server was really nice, but a $20 tip on a $50 meal was not our intention. Oh, and now that I can look at our bill we also got overcharged for the "Happy Hour" $3 beer (price almost double) and Hubby and I are both feeling sick to our stomachs. I've tried Red Lobster take out/delivery on 3 separate occasions and on every occasion the order was missing stuff. I kept trying because Red Lobster used to be my favorite place but sadly the quality has dropped far from where it was. I ordered 2 salads and only received one. I ordered a baked potato with sour cream and butter and literally got a uncut unseasoned potato with none of the side. The order didn't come with any utensils or straws for our drinks. I called and spoke to a manager who is sending me a gift card but I'm just so angry because I spent $70 for this order. read more

Does anyone go to Red Lobster anymore? There was apparently once a time in Reading when there were not that many nice restaurants, because people thought of Red Lobster as a fancy date-worthy place and were willing to wait hours in a smoke-filled lobby to pay $29 for a thawed-out lobster tail. Who is this who would make his mother wait so long for chain food or think a date would be impressed? It is all frozen (I asked), except for the "live" lobsters and the fresh fish shortlist. Chains get their food from massive distribution companies, so there is no local buying and nothing organic. This is what you have to do to maintain menu sameness over hundreds of stores. In the mid-1990s, this was one of the busiest locations in the company, but the proliferation of cooler chains has given RL a lot of competition for bland, salty, fatty food in cutesy-themed, booth-filled environments. Don't other people grow tired of hearing the way-overlong script designed to upsell expensive drinks and push the sales of appetizers and desserts? These are higher profit items which management likely tracks for each employee. Servers seem to be trained to manipulate you and under pressure to sell sell sell! This makes me uncomfortable as a customer, because I have to keep saying no thanks and looking cheap. Check out their nutrition information online. One Alfredo dish I saw has 53 grams of fat, over 1200 calories, over 3000 milligrams of salt, and 91 carb grams! That is just one entree, which does not include the salad or biscuits. The Bisquick cheese biscuits have 8 grams of fat each. Every entree is two to four times the size it needs to be, so bring your takeout containers. The soups taste like they are from a can, and the pasta seems microwaved. The one good thing is the steamed broccoli, but many diners probably consider it "raw." I was told by servers that the fries were fine for vegetarians, but another time they said they had lard. I just can't understand how Red Lobster can still be swarmed on a Saturday night, when places such as Thaiwat are not even full. I guess it is the overwhelming influence of tv advertising. Went here on a Friday night and was fully expecting the 1/2 hour wait. Luckily, there were a few seats at the bar and we grabbed a couple beers and their heavenly rolls while we waited. My only complaint about this part of the dining experience was that the bartender offered the rolls to another customer and then when I asked for them she gave me kind of a pissed of look. Also, they have this specially designed glass there that has a whole page describing it and only have 6 beers on tap (3 of which are Miller,Bud, and Coors light). I mean if you are going to have this "amazing" glass have some microbrews or imports on tap at least. The best they had there was Sam Adams Lager and Blue Moon on tap (had Sam Adams Seasonal bottled). Our waiter was friendly enough and went over the specialty items and his recommendations, which was a nice touch for a chain restaurant. The dinner experience wasn't bad but the rolls, which I enjoy so much, weren't very hot. Not too big of a deal since I had a few at the bar. The food came in a timely manner and was pretty good. I got the shrimp trio and my wife got the coconut shrimp which she enjoyed. After finishing, we got some of the leftovers to go and they gave us three containers. Instead of offering us a bag, several waiters and the hosts watched me awkwardly carry these containers outside, unlike the couple in front of me carrying a bag.
