I was too shy to try it that time, but it was a nice touch that he offered. I went back today (Friday, 9:30 am) for another pedicure with Ly, and he didn't disappoint. He carefully removed my old gel and applied a fresh set, and the whole experience was attentive, efficient, and just genuinely pleasant from start to finish. If you're looking for a technician who's skilled and makes you feel taken care of, ask for Ly. I'll definitely be back!

I feel as if this nail shop is very biased towards Asian and white women when African-Americans come in, we have to wait longer and if we do need multiple things done she's only able to do one thing. This is the second year coming to this nail shop here in North Las Vegas and I really hope that Miss Tracy and her attitude towards African-Americans will change. The man that's inside of the shop is absolutely wonderful. He was fast professional, and if he was able to do eyebrows, I'm sure he was going to do them after sitting for an hour getting a full set. I was informed I had to wait another 30 minutes to get eyebrows done when there was nobody else in the shop with me and another African-American woman who's getting a pedicure. It seems that the shop will stop doing my nails to do eyebrows for an Asian lady, but when I just came to get a full set in eyebrows, I have to wait 30 extra minutes after waiting an hour. I feel as if there is no room for discrimination in North Las Vegas.

When I lived in California I would only get my nails done here when I was out here. No other nail salon in CA or NV compares to their hospitality, prices and quality of products. She is the only one to go to for designs that I could truly recommend. I love giving these types of reviews, but I fear the crowds may start coming. Lady on the phone said just come in at 9:00 am on Wednesday. So I showed up on time, an older female did my pedicure (which was fine), she doesn't do fills, so I waited for a different tech to do the fill. About 10:15 or 10:30, Tony arrived to work. He didn't acknowledge me which makes me think he didn't know I was his patron. The other male tech had already started on my hands and I didn't want to be rude, so I just thought it would be OK this time and next time I'll ask to speak with Tony personally to set my appointment. The kicker is, after having been a regular customer to the shop for at least 8 months, the male tech decided to charge me $85.00. That's 10.00 more than I've previously been charged. I always tip at least 15.00 and sometimes 20.00. That's an adequate tip. My advice would be to schedule with a tech you know and ask the price for the services you want prior to going. All the techs shouldn't be punished for the two shady characters behavior, but it's left a bad vibe for me and I'm done with the place, valuable lesson learned. ​

With Pain…read more If you're looking for a relaxing pedicure, Nevada Nails managed to turn mine into a lesson on why you should apparently supervise every single cut. Before the tech started, I VERY specifically told her to cut my big toenails straight across and NOT down the sides because I'm prone to ingrown toenails. I couldn't have made the instructions any clearer. She did exactly what I told her NOT to do. She cut down the sides of BOTH big toenails. I didn't realize how badly until a day or two later when both toes started hurting. Now I'm dealing with painful ingrown toenails on BOTH feet. Seriously, what is the point of asking a customer what they want if you're just going to completely ignore them? This wasn't some complicated nail-art request. It was literally: "Please don't cut down the sides." Somehow even that was too much to ask. Without question, this was the WORST pedicure I have ever had. I paid money to leave in worse condition than when I walked in. That's actually impressive, just not in the way a business should be proud of. Nevada Nails won't have to worry about seeing me again. I'll happily take my money somewhere that considers listening to the customer part of the service. Absolutely will NOT be back. One star only because Google doesn't offer zero.

Fortunately I was off that day and able to go run an errand near by and come back. When I came back, Cindy was already setting up my pedicure tub. She always looks lovely dressed nicely. Jaylene was very accommodating and nice as we talked for hours during the appointment haha! She also kept into consideration that I was pregnant and was kind in helping me. My hair was very long and thick which resulted in the appointment being over 8+ hours! Jaylene was very patient and cared about my hair. She did not rush the process and showed a lot of detail and created such great work in the end! I am highly satisfied with the results and my hair feels lighter and fresh. Haircuts for my son are usually done at home bc finding a safe space with a professional that understands autism is hard to come by. I believe it's important to expose my son to typical experiences (like getting your hair cut at a salon), so when I came across Chelsea's video on Instagram, I jumped to it quickly. Her salon is clean & simple (not overwhelmed with colors and decor like a kid's salon would be) - which is perfect as my son is easily overwhelmed. She had a cart of sensory toys for my son to play with & allotted for extra time to get him comfortable with her before she started his haircut. She did everything to prevent any autism tantrums or meltdowns my son could have possibly. He did amazing! This was the best my son ever did with getting a haircut! We couldn't be any happier with the outcome. We live on the opposite end on the valley from The Beauty Lab but will be coming back for the amazing service.
