The hamburger patty was still frozen in a spot, the onion rings and milkshake was decent but by the time you spend a $2.50 surcharge at the ATM for cash you will be at $25... soooo not worth it! This place was so disappointing the burgers were small and the price is expensive not so much expensive it's just not worth the money for the small size burger they give and after ordering a burger, cheese fries ( yuk), a double cheeseburger, onion rings, and a soda (2ppl)- $23 later I'm hungry !! how do I leave a restaurant order two meals pay $23 and leave hungry super super disappointing ! Super important - CASH only!!! Our bill was $81, luckily i had cash, but that caught me off guard. Def nostalgic and kind staff. There is plenty of outdoor seating and given this pandemic the spaced out seating is great. The mini golf is $6 per kid, $8 per adult and open! We called our order in. It took about 20 mins to make. The staff is very kind. Maria was our attendant and she was so kind! They have battery operated little kids ride outside. We didn't use given social distancing. This is a pretty big place. Lots of space. We opted for ice cream Down the street at Burger King because the ice cream was a little Pricey.... and we have four kids. Overall a great stop! Stopped by Red Rooster Drive-In for the first time to grab some ice cream for dessert. The place was very busy but luckily the line to order food moved really quick. I can't say anything for the actual food since I didn't try any but I did get the chocolate/vanilla swirl soft serve with rainbow sprinkles and it was good. I will definitely be returning to try the actual food soon! I went to the Red Rooster Drive-In last night for a bacon cheeseburger and a strawberry milkshake because I had fond memories of dining here about 25 years ago when I worked in Brewster, and I happened to be in the area last night on business. My, how things have changed! The burger was clearly a frozen patty that once served to me was a greasy mess, barely palatable! The server forgot the pickles I explicitly asked for and had to get a side order out of them from a cooler, and they were mushy and disgusting instead of normal, nice pickle chips. The milkshake was fine enough, but for those two things to cost over $16, the entire meal was a very expensive disappointment! I would have done much better going to Burger King down the street to get two Whopper Juniors for 5 bucks. I will never eat at Red Rooster ever again! Love this place! It's a small spot, but runs efficiently! The main manager/owner is extremely friendly. He's willing to help with whatever your request is and makes the experience a great one. I've had a variety of foods from here ranging from milk shakes, burgers, and fries. All of which have been super tasty! The burgers are exactly what you'd want from an old fashioned drive-in. Juicy, fatty, soft bun, loaded with flavor. Delicious. Their milk shakes are also a must have! They're willing to make flavor combinations that aren't necessarily on the menu, so don't be afraid to ask for something (within reason, of course). Lastly, what else goes better with a burger and shake other than fries? Do yourself a favor and get the chili cheese version. It's just perfect. The only catch you'll need to know is that this is a cash only spot. No worries if you don't have any on you.. there's an ATM inside. We came here on the way home from the Berkshires because of a recommendation. When we got there and we were lookin at the menu, the owner came over and I told him that it was our first time. He introduced me to his daughter and told me that he had been there for 30 years. He told me to get a double burger with fried onions and a shake. I told him that I wasn't a double burger type person and he said OK have the single burger do you like fried onions? So I said yes he said OK well they're on me because you have to try them. My daughter ordered a hotdog and we shared some fries she had a coffee shake. The food was delicious, the wait time was really short. The decor was totally a 1960s vibe. There are plenty of seats both inside and outside. Tables and chairs were clean. Decor is setting off the vibe. I noticed no music playing but it was nice to hear the chatter from the many families coming out for lunch with their little ones.. our family really loved the rooster outside and the coin operated rides for toddlers- bring your quarters! The food however was not only overpriced but also not so great. My chicken sandwich was a bit dry and plain. My little guy loved his hot dog. Fries were basic.. A recent huge improvement is an indoor eating area, so you can go year round. Very smart of them. Order at the counter and wait to bring your food inside or to picnic tables.
