I didn't eat here so this review is only for the bar area and the live band that played on August 2, 2013. We were staying overnight at the Quality Inn across the street and looking for a watering hole within walking distance. They have happy hour, or more like happy day from 11a-7p, our bartender was quick and friendly, she had a full bar and still managed to keep our drinks fulls. No smoking inside the bar area or restaurant (thank goodness), but they have a smoking area patio right outside. Best part about the night was the live band. Preferred my food. Got to the restaurant 30 mins after I ordered. I was told they did not have one of the two plates I ordered. I understand running out of something but my order was said to be ready in 20 mins. I arrived in 30 mins. So when the ticket in the kitchen printed off, how come since they took my phone number , was I not called and informed that when I arrived at the restaurant that only half of my order would be ready. This is not the first time this is happened at this restaurant. It has happened to me three times and not one of those times did the manager on duty call and let me know that half of my food would be missing when I arrived. This is POOR COMMUNICATION AND A MANAGER THAT KNOWS WHAT YYEY ARE DOING would correct these issues instead of making excuses. This manager could care less if I spent money at that restaurant or not. The owner needs to wise up and realize not caring about your customers can severely hurt your business. You may have a monopoly over your type of business right now but if another place moves in and can service the food that you service to your customers with better ran operations and friendly staff, you loose! . Especially with manager like you have on staff now I don't know her name but she's worthless as a representation of your establishment! ! You people are on crack. This place sucked. Tiny oysters that barely even fit on my oyster fork, tinier supper portions. Messed up my drink order of water with lemon. Took forever to get seated and it was slow. I had a side salad. My boyfriend had a burger that came with Swiss cheese, he asked for mozz instead..didn't happen. My mom liked the bourbon street chicken. Took too long . Couldn't get the waitresses attention. The shrimp étouffée was some of the best I've ever had, the band was great, coffee was hot and kept coming. Only wish the menu had an option for wheat or brown rice instead of just white rice. Great place to relax. read more

Upon arrival there was a 12-top, 3 people at the bar and a 4-top in the entire building. We were sat at at dirty table. Our table had lettuce, spilled drink and crumpled paper on it. My husband is from New Orleans and I guess my expectations were too high. What they called gumbo was awful and unlike any I have ever had. The crab cake was fair and fried alligator was good. I would not go back or recommend it to anyone. read more

Dine out often but for some reason have not checked this place out....OUR LOSS! The shrimp and grits were fantastic. Nice creamy grits, the shrimp cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce served with over them is delish . My wife had the bacon wrapped shrimp. 9 big shrimp, grilled and seasoned just right. I have never had Redbone's food so one afternoon I decided to try it. So after entering the somewhat of a restaurant I sat at the bar and was rudely dismissed by the bartender. She noticed me and went to attended to another customers needs. I sat there for at least thirty minutes without being served. She nor any other waitress attempted to serve me, so needless to say I just left. I have told many people about this situation and they've agreed that this has happened to them also. I also posted it on Facebook and you would not believe the response I got from people saying they also agreed. Redbone's you guys and gals need some training on how to treat your customers right and not just the bikers. read more

I ate here with my boyfriend and it was very entertaining and the food was good. I ordered a basic steak and loaded potato and he ordered a burger. The burger was really good it had some special sauce on the bun. We also ordered an alcoholic beverage and it was called swamp water. It was pretty good as well! read more

The tenderloin steak here is sooo good! It's juicy and tender with a great flavor! The Mac and cheese on the other hand taste like its microwaved that's the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars. I've gotten the pink starburst signature drink and it's probably my favorite mixed drink! Taste just like a pink starburst with a kick! I definitely recommend just don't eat the Mac and cheese lol. The food is very good, nice atmosphere and service. Happy hour is good too and "crazy hour" is even better. Highly recommend for lunch, after work or dinner. They also have live entertainment by local bands for later in the evening. You won't be disappointed. read more

Visiting town for a soccer tournament and was excited to get some good food in a great atmosphere after a long day of soccer. The first of our group was forced to wait at the entrance for 30 min and not seated until all of us were there. The staff seemed apologetic of the wait but the Manager was very rude when we asked multiple times to be go ahead and be seated. We watched multiple people walk in to join a party in the back room. Service is CRAP!!! Place was half empty and took over 20 minutes to have our orders taken. The hostess took our order.

I have been to Red Bones several times and it is hit or miss. I ordered Bacon Wrapped Shrimp last night and it was definitely a miss last night. Burned bacon, over cooked rubbery shrimp with flat flavor. Don't order these. The highlight on my plate was the broccoli and the serving size of the vegetables was minimal. Stopped in to give it another try yesterday and waited so long to place our order and get drinks. The drinks were wrong and when the appetizers finally make it were over cooked. A really long wait for the meal and the steak was over cooked and had to see a manager about it. They treat there customers terrible. The wife asked for a drink refill and never got it. Food is usually very good and they have great bands with a full variety. I love that it's NON-SMOKING! Fried avocado is amazing as well as the Orings. I have been several times and mostly I am pleased with the overall experience. However, I have been a couple of times for lunch and service was slow, food not great. So just when our last dining experience at Sammy`s steakhouse in Marion, IL left us believing it couldn't get any worse, we were proven wrong...as we were being seated something just didn't seem right. Maybe it was all the camouflage and bling, the bikers, rednecks and prostitutes. I was suddenly regretting not having my gun with me. Then we got the menu and were surprised to see items on it that you would expect to see on a classy restaurant menu. we almost got up and left at this point, but we thought the food must be good because there are so many people here. Our waitress came to the table and bent over with her hands on the table and sqooze her arms together till her boobs nearly feel out on the table (ok, so as the only female at the table I'm probably the only one that didn't enjoy that part) she took our drink order 3 times but never wrote it down. One of the guys said, she's a little off, I said ya cause she's totally drunk. She then comes back and says ok, I need to get your order again, she attempts to write it down but it appears totally illegible. Finally the drinks come out. Then she pulls up a chair all of our eyes get big. No big deal you think, well at our last dinner when the girl pulled up a chair she then later threatened to stab us in the neck, so w were a little nervous. So to make a long sorry short she took our dinner orders several times, brought or checks out before we even got our diners, never brought our appetizer, we ordered drinks from another waitress, got another bill that was wrong, got our drinks on the house, finally got our diners which were actually pretty good, the manager stepped in after her 3Rd attempt to sort out the bill, our waitress disappeared (we assume she was fired) she offered us free dessert, then our appetizer showed up, then she messed up the receipts, and finally 3 hours later we escaped! Later to find out 2 people in our party were double charged! I think I'll be cooking dinner in the hotel tonight! read more

Food was good and the portions generous... However I felt like I was going to be punched in the face by the large biker crowd that setup camp in the bar area. The place could be really nice which raises the question why ownership has not done something to clean up the crowd that frequents the place. We ate here while traveling based on hotel's recommendation. Started with 1/2 dz oysters and they were ok. Ordered Margaritas and I agree with other review...I'm not sure there was any alcohol in them. Also asked for no salt and came with salt. We sent drinks back and bartender must have just poured same drinks in new glasses since they tasted like salt. For meal I had blackened redfish and it was very good. My wife had grilled chicken and it was so tough and chewy it was basically inedible. The "live band" just talked amongst themselves during the hour or so we were there (7pm on a Sat night). Besides the redfish, this was a pretty poor meal and cost me $75 for two of us when all in. Don't think I'd come back again. read more
