    redneck egg rolls
    Tammy W.

I had some friends with a dog visiting from out of town that wanted to eat on the water but we tried to get into Squid Lips and they didn't allow dogs so we ended up here. We sat and our waitress, Gio, was very brash from the moment she arrived at the table-not sure if she had a bad day but wasn't a great feeling to be spoken to in that manner. She was not helpful with menu choices when asked but made us aware there was a new menu. This being our first time , we asked what she recommended she was not at all helpful stating "it depends what your appetite is" and said "the bowls were popular". My friends both got the clam chowder soup and said it was average. The redneck egg rolls were pretty tasty and came out fairly quickly once ordered. The location is right on the river and is nice for watching the water and boats. The ambiance is beachy and has cute decor. I ordered a burger and paid extra for fries as it comes with chips only -the fries were seasoned and delicious but the burger was just average-nothing I would return for. My friends got the mojo pork bowl that was pretty good and the other burger came with potato salad and was ok. The dog loved her chicken breast and ate the entire portion. I would maybe go back and try a bowl or the tacos but the burgers were not something I would return for and definitely not that particular waitress for her less than kind service .

Great new, fresh and welcomed addition to the area. Fun, great service a reasonable prices

The most flavorless meal I've ever had.

The newly rebranded Squid lips shoreside. I had high hopes but sadly, it's the same old squid lips with a menu makeover. So here's the good, bad and ugly. Hopefully the owners are reading, but I suspect, like most waterfront restaurants rely on the view. The good - the view can't be beat. I saw dolphins with my lunch. The bar tenders and wait staff are super friendly, really good. Great location for large parties, live music. For those disabled, plenty of handicap parking. The bad - when compared to the area, their prices are a mix of confusion. Beers and wine are $4-8, great. Some of their dishes border on the higher side of moderate. I was not a fan of the previous menu, it was disjointed and quality wise was mediocre at best. The new menu has a few previous items, and while a different direction and more unified, the quality still appears to be mediocre. In fairness, I only had shrimp and grits. To use a phrase from jimmy buffet "the shrimp died in vein". "Shrimp sautéed with caramelized onions, over creamy jalapeno grits with crumbled bacon ". This was one of the most flavorless dishes I've ever had. No seasoning at all, shrimp the size of my thumb nail. The ugly - ugly might not be fair. But make a $17 pretzel? $15 coconut shrimp $16 mahi tacos a $15 burger make sense. A pretzel is flour and water. It seems like the owners want to live off the view and cheap out everywhere else. Maybe you are living off the tourist, but as a local, I'm sadly disappointed and, like mulligans, will only stop by for a drink and the view.

Before I start the review I have a fun fact to share. Before I visited Pateidolia Brewing in Vero…read moreBeach Florida, I looked at some pictures and read some reviews. I don't usually read the reviews for breweries because I want to give an honest review based on my experience. But what drew me in is all the pictures of the draft board seemed out of focus and weirdly lit. I chalked that up to maybe not cleaning off the camera lense before taking the pictures, but what I found was quite the opposite. When I took my picure I also couldn't get a good shot. A little blurry and maybe slightly out if focus. And what I found is the place is fairly dark inside until your eyes get acclaimatted. And the way they have the menu board lit, there is a glare which makes all the photos of the beer menu board come out weird. I took multiple photos and finally settle on the best one, but it also wasn't great. So onto the review. It is small inside and has outiside seating. But what they lack in size, they make up in personality. Pareidolia is a little brewery with a big personality to match the name. Got to connect with the beertenders on duty Les and Kelly. Sorry guys if I misspelled your names, but you guys were awesome. I kept calling them Mel and Stacy, no reason why, but I did finally learn their names about the same time as I really started loving their wonderful beer. And another fun fact is their brewer is a lady. I am very partial to women who brew beer, because I feel like they do something a little extra that men don't. But that is a feeling or my own personal bias. So there is that. They have food here, but the food seemed more like an afterthought or a remnant of Covid where you had to have food at your brewery just to survive. We tried the Hawaiian flat bread. It was closer to frozen pizza with some extra toppings. But didn't come here to eat, and the beer was so great it over ruled any issues I might have had with the food. The BEER: 32956 Zip Code Hazt IPA 6.7% ABV... this has layers and they are all delicious Citra Surfer Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV... I really like this... clean and awesome Half Buzzed Hybrid Session IPA 5% ABV... I am not a fan of West Coast hops, I got a lot of grapefruit rind and a little dank happiness Chippy Throwdown Irish Red 5.2% ABV... I can so taste the rye and am loving how smooth it is Seeing Things ESB 5.6% ABV... easy drinking and crushable, a good English Special Bitter Slow Paddle Porter 5.2% ABV... it was a Porter Mermaid Belgian Blonde 5.6% ABV... Belgian, slightly hop forward, this is not light, it has layers of flavor and is just a tad boozy On my trip to Vero Beach I tried four breweries. Pareidolla was my first visit and I can honestly say it was the best. The beer was awesome. Next time I return it will be my first stop.

We live just down the road in Vero Beach, so discovering a neighborhood tavern with this much charm practically in our backyard was a real win. We had already eaten lunch at Nini's Cuban across the parking lot, so we stopped in just for a beer. Within minutes we were pulled straight into the atmosphere. Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list. We spent half our visit sipping and the other half laughing at the hilarious signs covering the walls and at the antics of a couple of regulars who clearly keep the place lively. We have not tried the food yet, but the vibe alone guarantees we will be back and we will be coming hungry. This is the kind of place where you settle in, meet the locals, and let the afternoon drift. For the record, our beer of choice that day was "Cougar Bait." It is as much fun to drink as it is to say!

Last week we had drinks and I ordered a Margarita less OJ like I always do. It was straight sour mix on ice. Verified by 2 people at the table. I told the server that I think they forgot the tequila. She came back with the same drink and said the bar said "its because I skipped the OJ" ?? Well that would make it taste like sour and OJ wouldnt it? It still wouldnt taste like Tequila because there was none in it. Tje poor server agreed with me and apologized. She also said management will not let them freepour anymore and they are mandated to use jiggers. She said there had been several complaints about drink quality. I left the full drink , minus 3 tastings , on the table. Not only didnt they remake it, they charged me for it. Fast forward a week and we had friends visiting so we took the to the tiki to eat lunch. Everyone had mahi , 2 fried, one blackened. The blackened dish was cut up like french fries and drier than dirt. No one ate it. The fried plates were terribly fishy. I eat fresh mahi routinely and this wasnt fresh by any means. Im afraid we are going to have to find somewhere else to visit. There just aint much good around there anymore but the views, the music and the conch fritters ( but even they werent that great last time)

Fortunately the patrons and servers were just the opposite of my first impression. My friends had a flight of the beers. I didn't take notes, but I did have a small sip of some of the beers. I settled on an IPA which was very good, slighly orange peel and a little hazy. They had similar beer which had a treatment, but it was just a huge smack in the face of orange rind so I settle in on the milder version. Really liked Mash Monkey, have to come back and give the beers a good tasting.
