Terrible experience. Customer service was below par. Condition was terrible. There is no fairway. The fairway is all mud! It's unplayable right now. We asked for half our refund but they gave us half credit instead... now we have to come back and play this sh**** condition course with sh**** customer service. I don't often post reviews but felt this course needed a more recent opinion. I live in Temecula but haven't played here in a while because of the negative reviews. Played 18 holes today and the course is in excellent shape. Greens were recently punched and in great condition. Fairways and rough are good too. New carts are due in next week with GPS (finally!). Hopefully they don't raise the rates next. Always a great layout and challenging but a fun course. Maintenance crews were all over the course so they are obviously putting more care into it. Hopefully they can keep it that way into the winter months. read more

The course is decent and the food is decent. I had a great time with my friends but the issue I have with this course is, I left my range finder in my cart, left the parking lot l, went back to get my range finder, and was told they did not see it on the cart. I have a magnet on my range finder and now left it on the cart bar. I am not happy that it was stolen by the staff and will not be returning to this course. read more

I played this course on 2/19. Showed up for a 1pm t-time. Staff was very friendly. They had had a tournament or something that had started earlier in the day, so there were not enough golf carts available. We didn't end up teeing off till 1:20pm. I had to swap my golf cart out after getting to the 1st tee because the parking brake didn't work at all. The fairways were either dirt or dead grass. There are no yardage markers on the fairways anywhere, so if you don't have a range finder you're just going to have to guess yardage. The pace of play was very slow. When I got to the 14th hole, my golf cart's battery ran out. I called the pro shop 4 times from my cell phone and no one answered. This is at about 5pm. Finally I called the main number but selected the option for the snack bar and got a woman on the phone who sent a couple guys out with a new cart. Took about 20 minutes. Had I not been able to get someone on the phone, I probably would've had to Uber back to the parking lot. All of this for about $75 a person. The staff was very nice, but the course was in terrible shape, except the greens, which were actually in nice shape. There is no organization here. Not worth the money at all. If the prices stay the same, it could be the best bang for SoCal right in the sweet spot As a golfer who can appreciate a well manicured golf course this course is priced for the times we are in , and I would like to say for somebody who repairs all my marks on the golf course. I did see an employee Marshall fixing divots on the Fairway beautiful more courses should model this behavior. And please fix your divots on the greens so we all can make putts. Played there yesterday 1/28. Course in in horrible shape and they are raising the prices on playing there. Also charges 16.00 for a bucket of balls. 10.00 everywhere else. It's a nice course and has great potential but like other people have posted lately it looks like it's in need of some serious maintenance. Tee boxes are thrashed, the rubber non-slip cover on wood steps and bridges are all coming off, The cart path concrete is broken in several places, and needs repair. Some bunkers need attention too. Our golf cart had a broken windscreen, too. Pace of play was good, appreciate the Marshal being proactive. Refreshment cart on the ball too. Catch up on the upkeep of this place and make it worth the $80 weekend rate again! read more

This review only concerns the Pro Shop staff. I would give 1 star but the grounds are nice. UNPROFESSIONALISM! We live adjacent to the golf course, which means we are liable for damages caused by stray golf balls. We had strong winds which caused MANY golf balls to come flying into and around our yard. SAFETY ISSUE! As usual, we called the Shop but after assuring us they would go to "irons only" our window was broken from another stray golf ball. After the staff identified the golfer, the golfer admitted wrongdoing, and the staff said they would act as intermediary, they washed their hands of it. Stopped taking our calls. The golfer's access to the course has not been affected. The golf course is not responsible for the actions of golfers but it's unprofessional to allow rogue golfers to have full access to their course. BE CAREFUL out there, hope you don't get injured while on the course. read more

This golf course has a very nice layout, but is in need of some serious upgrading. The greens are OK, but the fairways have bald spots, the tees boxes are patchy, and the rough is........very rough! The sand in the bunkers is inconsistent and some even have a fair amount of grass growing in them. However, the midweek, senior rate including cart was only $50, so you get what you pay for. I would be happy to spend more though and come back again if the course were in better condition. I hope the owners are willing and able to invest in major improvements as the course warrants it and could be quite beautiful if it were to be redone. read more

We had a foursome on Friday, November 10th. There was a slight frost delay with which there was no problem. From the get go, our game was delayed due to those ahead of us. After a much longer than usually front nine, we continued, and the delays were worse. The marshal was by several times but offered no solution even though we asked. Into the next nine holes, we chose to go in. As we passed, we saw several groups of five , six and on one hole seven players. My son is an assistant pro at a gold course in San Diego County and has never seen such poor management of player groups. I visited the pro shop and lodged my concerns and disappointment. I was handed the card for the head professional, Jeff Sampson. I left a lengthy voice mail and asked for a return call. To date, I have not received the courtesy of a return phone call or acknowledgment. This is not a way to run a golf course. We will not be playing this course again, and when asked where to play in Temecula, will advise other friends to avoid this course. Robert in San Diego read more

First time at this location. So not familiar the can and can't do... toward the last hole I admit mistake of driving off the paved road on the hard rough... the marshal Jeff is what the name was provided ? on 7/23/23 drove by and yelled and told me what in the fuck is wrong with me and why am I on the green.... Fact i was nowhere even close to the green... bottom line he is definitely lucky I kept my cool but I'm sure he talks like that to someone else I'm sure they would have handled it differently. Over all had a great time with the friends. Cart girl was awesome. Dude at the front desk checking in was polite and friendly.But definitely management needs counseling on that asshole Marshall . read more

The course is really nice but management is terrible on this course. Doesn't matter what day of the week or time the management lets anybody on the course at whatever time. I can guarantee you if u set a tee time, when u get to hole one there will be at LEAST two other carts trying to tee off. The whole course is packed. The greens have been recently aerated, so white sand is still prominent on the greens. Rolls true and overall in decent condition. The pro shop person and the starter were great... efficient and friendly. The course is setup well, with plenty of distance options off the tees. Fairways were light brown but the grass was still very playable. My only minor complaint would be that the course needs a manicure. Certain areas do not drain well and the rough are cut inconsistently. Fallen leaves along fairway roughs need to be removed. The pace when we played as a twosome was great, about a 4 hour round. Golf cart was just ok, wish they had the more comfortable ones. Overall a good day of golf. read more

Great course but can be a bit challenging at times (those damn water holes). As with most courses in Southern California, this is as green as I have seen it since we started playing here four years ago. We have played here a dozen or so times, and it is always a fun time. We typically start on time, although there have a been a couple times we were pushed back about 10-15 minutes, and we usually finish in about 4 1/2 hours. The fairways and greens are well-taken care of by the staff. TIP: Best place to buy tee times is usually on Groupon or Travelzoo. Groupon can usually be used after 11 am and typically costs about $35 pp (there is always a 20% off code somewhere on the internet). Travelzoo voucher typically comes with a pitcher of beer, range balls, cart and tee time for about $35 pp as well. I think the travelzoo is only valid Sun - Thur, but it is still a much better deal than using GolfNow or on their website. read more

If you're family or loved ones are wasting away the family fortunes or pensions at Pechanga casino, you can come to Redhawk Golf Club and waste away 5 hours playing the game of golf. Just seconds away from Pechanga casino and minutes away from the 15 freeway, Redhawk is one of the most challenging courses in Southern California. Luckily for everyone there are tees for every skill level. The clubhouse is beautiful, a Spanish themed hacienda. And the golf is pretty cheap too. Whenever I play, I play a twilight round, which usually costs around $50 with a cart. Pricier than most munis, but Redhawk is a beautiful course with a few flaws though. I'll mention that later. The course is immaculate, challenging and beautiful. It runs through a huge housing development. And that is the flaw. You will find yourself crossing through residential streets in order to move on to the next hole. It's weird and awkward, going through your round and then going through someone's driveway towards your next hole. Other than that, there are some really nice holes here...starting with the long Par 5 1st hole. But the real beauty here are the Par 3's...there's an island green Par 3, that reminds me a little of TPC Sawgrass, except that it plays to 180 from the black tees. There is also a long, ultra downhill Par 3 on the back 9. This is a pro style, tournament course...I usually prep here before big tournaments. Redhawk is on the intersection of Marguerite and Wolf Creek. I think, but there's Google Maps to prove me wrong. The course is usually empty and the staff there are always helpful. Other than the course, there is a cute cantina for your 19th hole drink. read more

The clubhouse and snack area (old world Spanish style) remind me a bit of Golf Club of California. The FAIRWAYS could use some love but some are in better shape than others. Some were a bit chewed up. The course is fairly green on some holes and less so on others. The TRACK is a very nice place with many exceptional holes. The highlights are the ISLAND GREEN par 3 and the SAND ISLAND GREEN par 3. The island green is one of the prettiest par 3's we've ever played. The sand island green reminds me of the one on LaQuinta's Dunes Pete Dye course. New red colored GOLF CARTS but GPS is absent which is a bummer. Maybe they're on order. The GREENS are in good shape throughout and not super challenging. I'm playing well today which is adding to the enjoyment out here. It isn't a terribly tough course nor is it easy either. read more

Unfortunately, it appears management has really let the place go. The tee boxes and fairways were in mediocre shape and the greens were just terrible. Played this course on Feb 2019. This winter season was quite a rainy one. However,the state of this golf course conditions I am mentioning here are not related to weather, rather a horrible management of the golf course. This course is one of the worst courses I have played in all of Los Angeles. Fairways are bare, greens have dirt spots, crab grass, overgrown roughs, horrendous drainage system as witnessed during the store with every bunker and slopes fairways around green were like ponds. The course condition was absolutely horrible however, these are the positives for those who want to consider. Played here yesterday on 4.18.2022 and was not happy for a couple of reasons. I booked the tee time from Golfnow on Friday evening and the course was closed when I booked it. I searched their website and all social media accounts to see what the condition of the course was and see if they aerated recently. It has been a couple of years since I played here since their price hike which made it an overpriced golf course, so I stopped playing for a while and wanted to make sure it was in really good shape. I called the pro shop on Saturday morning and I was told the course was in amazing condition and the best it has probably ever been......so I felt comfortable going. We got there as most golfers do an hour early to worm up......upon walking into the pro shop there is a big sign that says DRIVING RANGE CLOSED. I was so mad as they did not mention this when I called so now my friend and I can sit ad look at each other for an hour, instead of practicing and warming up. Needless to say the first 4-5 holes were a disaster for both of us. The course was also not in great shape by ANY means either. I went into the pro shop after the round to let them know how disappointed i was, and the guy in the pro shop could not care any less of what I was saying. I live 5 minutes away from this course and I play minimally once a week........I will never return to this course unless they change ownership. TELL YOUR PATRONS WHEN YOUR COURSE IS NOT IN GOOD CONDITION AND THE RANGE IS CLOSED!!!! Btw, there was not one person working on the range at all.....just a bunch of mud and sheets of plywood with no workers on the range working. Management got back to me immediately after I emailed them. They said sorry. I said thanks for the apology but it would be nice if you offered my friend and I a voucher to come back when it's back to expected conditions. Total crickets.....and that is why I will never return to this course again. In all honesty.....the entrance to the golf course is the nicest thing about the entire course.....including the customer service. Boo hiss to Redhawk Golf! read more

Thought I would give this golf course another shot and boy was I disappointed. It' was in god awful shape and for the price, totally not worth it. I don't know what's wrong with golf in So Cal. Coming from Arizona where municipal courses are in much better shape than this. Is golf really in this bar of shape financially? Or are these courses just ran poorly? Unfortunately after today's experience I have to lower my review. I've been playing here for 10 years and this was my first negative experience. I booked a time through Groupon for $30. Just to make sure there was no confusion I took screenshots as I booked the deal showing the fee and fine print. When I got to the course i was told it would be $55 which is the standard rate. I explained that I booked with Groupon for $30 and showed them the screenshots I took as evidence. They told me I could call Groupon to get it straightened out which I didn't have time for as we were ready to start our round. After going back and forth for a few minutes, I finally gave up as I saw that I wasn't getting anywhere. She blamed Groupon and said I had to deal with them because she didn't have the authority to resolve the issue and there was no manager on site. Played sat AM round cold and foggy start. No range available, and understandable Putting green was beat to death and proved to be same for every green on course. Terrible. 2 putt gimmes was the decision for the day. Fairways were winter dormant and tight. Bunkers were in desperate need of new sand and repair. For $80 this is at BEST , a municipal golf course in disrepair. Unfortunately for Redhawk, municipal Oceanside offers superior greens at a reasonable price. Arrowood for $10 more is in A1 condition If Redhawk is to survive post Covid , severe work will need to be done. We won't be back here for a few years at least. Nice staff though read more

We really enjoy coming here. The staff is nice and professional. They care about their fare ways and greens. Right now they are allowing cart path driving only to preserve the new seed but they space everyone out well. The Marshall does a good job of responding to concerns quickly. Sometimes the course can seem a little slow but that's just because it only takes one early group to push everyone behind. read more
