The food is good, but gosh almighty the customer service is atrocious. Waited in a 10-15 person line for 45 minutes, just to find out the cashier and the bartender are the same person. Needed a quick meal while on the road and this place wasn't too far off the freeway. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. We tried the barbacoa, hatch chile pork, bean and cheese, and poblano and whipped feta tacos. The barbacoa had the most flavor of them all. All the meat tacos had a good amount of meat in them and the sauces added so much flavor. I highly recommend the cilantro avocado sauce on everything. Don't skip out on the totchos! I almost didn't order them but they were suggested by someone in line and I'm glad she told me. The hatch chili burger was good but extremely salty and smelled like the griddle needed cleaned. Once I got to the middle of the burger it was delicious. It was cheesy, had nice thick bacon, and the hatch chilies added great flavor. There was a bit of a wait to get my food but it was a good sign of a successful place. Employees were friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. Chill vibe. I placed a to go order for two tacos... and waited for over thirty minutes. I thought it might take 10 to 15 minutes to complete my order. After waiting twenty five minutes they said my order would be brought out to me and I told them I would have to go soon. They cancelled my order right after telling me it was finished. So they wasted my time and didn't deliver the food I ordered. So much for good customer service. If you would like to be treated this way, then by all means visit this place. read more

There's a reason they say no f*ckin chips... Their tortillas will absolutely ruin you to all other tacos going forward. Easily the best tacos in Nashville and it's not even close. The egg and chorizo and Barbacoa with dreamweaver sauce are my favorites, but you honestly can't go wrong with any of them. Same with their bacon cheeseburger, it's hands down the best. Tried this highly-recommended Tex-Mex restaurant while visiting Nashville. Unfortunately it seems to be one of those places that is more hype than substance. It was frustrating before I even got the food, and if the place weren't so highly recommended I would have left without trying it. You order at a counter, and they bring the food to you table. However, there is only enough space for 4-6 people to wait in line. After that, the line forms outside the building. At one point there were as many as 15 people in line outside in the rain. It is uncovered. Inside was small and crowded. When my food was ready, no seats had become available so I had to take it to go. I had viewed the menu in advance, but they did not have the (multiple) items I planned to order, which is always disappointing. Instead I got one of their crunch wraps which was...ok. It wasn't bad but it could have been from any quick tex-mex place that relies on precooked and frozen foods. Certainly not something I would recommend as a "must" while in Nashville. read more

Great food. The tacos and hamburger are very good but not having choice to get the hamburger the way I like best is a big point off.

Tots: 8/10 they have some seasoning on them which was pretty good and came with ranch that kind had a dill pickle flavoring which was interesting but pretty good, would and did pay the delivery fee from uber eats for the tots. Chicken taco: 9/10 I would have been happier if the jalapeños were crispier but the sauce was really good and it worked with the refried beans. Would have small talk with an old man about how things were back in his day for 5-10 minutes for this taco. Barbacoa taco: 11/10 if it isn't the best taco I've ever had it's definitely number two but I'm pretty sure it's top gun. I would listen to two imagine dragons albums front to back per taco. Just moved to Nashville and this place is in walking distance!!! So happy about that! Had friends here for a visit and thought we would try it. I had heard about the burger The first few bites were delicious but by the end it had gotten a little soggy and maybe have just a tad too much sauce I can't believe I'm saying that but a little bit. The brisket taco was by far the biggest hit but I will say 3.95 for tacos with the amount of stuff in them, compared to the size the tortilla might seem a little steep. Highly recommend the number 4 taco, the x-mas crunch wrap, and margaritas. Normally the food comes out fairly quickly and there's a nice patio outside. Great taco fillings, great sauces, love the guacamole salad, OK queso. Tortillas = not good. I'll start by saying the tortillas I had today looked nothing like those in the photos, so maybe the normal tortilla person was out sick today or something. These were actually crunchy and brittle in several places and dry instead of pliable. Grocery store tortillas warmed on the griddle would have been better. (So sad!) On the one hand, this was very disappointing as the other elements were great. On the positive side, I won't gain a bunch of weight eating their breakfast tacos since those pesky tortillas are kind of a deal breaker. :-) read more

Get the barbacoa! The brisket was nice too. But, let's be honest, the star of the show here is those perfectly chewy, fresh flour tortillas! So you can't really go wrong with any taco as long as it's wrapped in that perfect little Texas pancho. However, I too am a little sad about the whole "no chips" thing. I'm not sure what their beef is with fried tortillas, but clearly they have very strong, very explicit feeling about it. I just would have liked some crispy chips to finish up my queso. Oh, well! I place an order at 9:27, their system says they accept my order, 8 min later I get a text saying my order is ready, a minute later I get a call telling me that my order is canceled because the kitchen is closed. if you set an expectation that you are open until 10pm, honor it. or at least turn your online ordering off. don't eat here. food is good, but when you treat customers this way, it's not ok. read more
