Hot Dogs are great vienna beef and fries are stacked on top of the dog and wrapped up. The shrimp is actually really really good. I would not go anywhere for shrimp, but this would be an exception as I don't think any restaurant with 3 things on their menu would risk not having fresh anything, especially shrimp. I read great reviews and rankings about this spot that I was unfamiliar with. A fan of Troha's, Lawrence's and Hagen's for fried shrimp, I was surprised to see comments raving about theirs but it is now my favorite. Golden, light breading, fresh shrimp, great sauce- perfection. The fries are as good as any I've had- they say they only use Idaho #1 potatoes, I don't know what others use but this is the way to go. Hot dogs are good- "depression" dogs- mustard, relish, onions, and peppers only. I prefer lettuce, tomato, celery salt, pickles with the mustard but still very good. As a huge fan of the classic Chicago hot dog, I was disappointed that their hot dog with everything does not include all the classic toppings (no tomatoes or pickle), but it does come with fries. Although there was a girl cutting fresh fries while we were there, ours were soggy and had clearly been sitting a while. We asked for "everything" and ended up with a hint of mustard and a few specks of onion. We almost threw them away, but were so hungry we added some condiments from our fridge and ate what we could. If you're drunk, hungry, and in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and go to one of the many good Mexican spots (or at least Sam's Red Hots if you're craving a hot dog). The place is not fancy nor has great seating options, but if you are getting it to go or in need of a late night dog this will suite you just fine. They are served on a normal white bun, and the only condiments are onions, relish, mustard, and sport peppers. I brought a hot dog to lunch for work, but forgot to bring the mustard..that is a problem, i don't know anyone who can eat a naked hot dog, except for my boss. Very simple menu think they serve like 5 things. Best thing on the menu would have to be the shrimp available in 1/2lb and 1lb servings and your choice of two cocktail sauces which are eh. They also serve dogs and polish's which are only steamed dogs they do not have a grill.
