While the major portion of our bathroom remodel is officially complete, we did decide to make some…read moresmall changes. We swapped out our existing chrome faucets for gold hardware, and the difference is night and day. The previous faucets had a very sleek, almost Star Trek-ish look (a fun nod to my hubby, who is a serious sci‑fi fan), but they no longer fit the direction the bathroom was taking. Once the rest of the space came together, it was clear the chrome felt out of place. The new gold faucets align beautifully with the overall design and add warmth and elegance to the room. They tie everything together in a way the chrome simply couldn't. What felt like a small change ended up making a big visual impact, elevating the finished space and giving it a more cohesive, intentional look. If you're on the fence about switching hardware finishes, this is proof that even after the "big" remodel work is done, thoughtful finishing touches can truly transform the final result. The faucets were priced competitively. Many thanks to folks at Tri-Supply!

If you want a one-stop showroom for appliances, lockets, lighting, ceiling fans, doors, windows,…read moreoutdoor grills, patio furniture, look no farther than Tri-Supply. I was literally wowed when I walked into their showroom last Saturday. It was a mecca for everything home. Honesty, if you can't find it here, I don't know where you can. The only quibbles I have is that they do have departments and specialists for each department. I worked with Aaron in appliances but he could not help me with anything other than appliances. I also spoke with Kelly the day before by phone--both extremely pleasant to work with. Their computer system is not tied into their floor inventory, and apparently hard for even their staff to navigate, making identification of available stock on floor challenging without eyes on. Their desk phones are not wireless, so checking on an item on the floor means holding or calling back from cellular. This is a small, family-owned business. Now that Harway is no longer family owned and a part of the Ferguson brand, the choices for shopping local are dwindling. But don't let family-owned mean expensive. They price match with big box and offer much better service to compete strongly. Although I did not buy that day, I have them in mind for a couple of items. Recommended. Five stars.

It busted within 2 weeks and I was left with not one, but two unworking fridges in my house and a lot of spoiled food. I couldn't afford to purchase a new one, but felt hesitant about casting my dice into craigslist again. A friend recommended Aleman Appliance to me, and since I live 3 blocks away, I went over right away. The guy at the front gave me a sly smile when I told him I wanted a cheap, top-freezer fridge - but he led me right to my options, haggled with me successfully, and sealed the deal. This is a really great place for feeling like you're getting a deal - the salesman had a kind, honest vibe about him, but the place is just a huge warehouse with NOTHING fancy goin on, so you definitely get a little of that buying-speakers-out-of-the-back-of-a-dude's-truck excitement without actually, you know, buying stolen speakers. They take all sorts of credit cards, and sent two nice young men over to deliver my fridge the same day - for free! They also took my TWO broken fridges away for free at the same time, awesome. They offer a 90-day parts & labor guarantee, and a one-year free labor guarantee, so you can feel a little safer about buying a used appliance. I'll definitely be back there when it comes time to replace my washer and dryer! Thanks guys!

Do NOT EVER EVER EVER buy ANYTHING from these guys. They will sell something that might work for…read more2 or 3 months. When it stops working and you try to take advantage of the fake "warranty" they will take DAYS to come and lie about when. You will take 3 or 4 days off work to wait and they will never show. They will PROMISE to send someone first thing in the morning and you will wait. You will not take a shower or leave the house to go anywhere in case they come. You will be VERY HUNGRY and your boss will be angry but that's just too bad. Because if you leave and miss them you will have to wait another week to MAYBE have them show. I bought a $500 fridge in April of 2013. In 9 months they've had to fix it 3 times. Each time it cost around $100 (they say there is a warranty but they still charge $65 for the service call and more for parts). On Tuesday it went out again. I lost $250 of meat, cheese, milk, fish, condiments, juice, ice cream....everything I'd bought for the week. I spent hours cleaning up the mess. I called them over and over again - 15 times in 3 days. Finally they PROMISED to come first thing Saturday. It's afternoon on Saturday and they are not here and are not answering the phone, I have no fridge, and no money to buy another fridge. And I'm afraid to leave the house in case they do actually decide to come because at least it might be only $65 instead of a new fridge. Soooooo $500 for the fridge. Approximately $300 for repeated "repairs". Approximately $500 in lost food. Uncountable number of hours of frustration.

(4) They also repair for hire even if you didn't buy from them. CONS: (1) Prices not marked anywhere. You have to ask about the price for each and every unit on the floor. (2) Some units are overpriced. It's up to you to figure out whether the price is right. Help figuring: Figure a new appliance will last about 12 years. If it costs $500 new, that's $42 per year of life. So an appliance that's 7 years old should be worth 5 x $42 = $210. But the 7-year-old fridges I saw at 3PA that would be $500 new are priced around $300, and are all banged up, and come with only a 3mo. warranty vs. 1Y new. So, those fridges weren't a good deal, at least when I went, but the price on the range I bought was fantastic. YMMV.

Repair man said it was because it was tucked too close to the wall and melted t something/caused a short 2 weeks ago the dryer went out again, repair man said it was due to not cleaning lint trap (we clean lint trap all the time) he repaired,I PAID additional repair fee, it worked for 2 cycles, same problem. (Cost of repairs alone is already more than I paid for the dryer) I called and asked that they replace the dryer because clearly there was something else going on and I have already paid the cost of a replacement dryer. Manager said he would talk to the boss and they agreed to replace. After the delivery and replacement the delivery guy returns and says we owe $75 for the replacement. This wasn't told to us in advance and I had already paid more than enough to have a working dryer. Will not be using again. They had a repeat customer that would have continued using them. Now they don't have a customer at all.
