    Beet salad

Regalade is owned by the owners of OSTE which was one of my favorite meals this year. Needless to say, I was excited to try out this new French bistro. I came here with my parents who were in town. Since they fly in from the east coast, we had a 5pm reservation. Which was perfect because it wasn't super busy. It was a nice day out so we sat on the patio. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. The dirty martini is smooth. I could easily see someone getting drunk off more than one of them. The steak tartare was delicious. The server stirs it up table side. It comes with a side of crostini to stack the tartare one. The marinated beet salad was very refreshing. I think I'd skip it next time and get the escargot instead. I can't believe we missed that. The French onion soup was amazing. A must order! The scallops crudo was incredibly tasty. The sauce was a little sweet but my dad likes it that way. The mussels mariniere was my favorite thing we ate. Make sure you order the baguette so you soak up the delicious sauce. And of course the French fries, because you can't order mussels without a good side of fries. Overall i highly recommend Regalade, and I can't wait to come back.

We loved OSTE so we had to drive back to LA to try Regalade. The restaurant has a nice vibe and the staff was very welcoming. My favorites were the scallops and French onion soup. The other dishes were fantastic, but I would 100% come back to get those two items. They also take reservations!

It was my first time trying this newly opened French spot and it definitely serves classic French flavors. A classy dimly lit restaurant. The bread and butter is a must get. The bread was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside and it's perfect for dipping in the French onion soup or scooping up the rest of the chive beurre Blanc sauce. The French onion soup($15) was hearty, cheesy, and buttery. It was a classic beef broth with tons of caramelized onions which made me so full before the main course. It's definitely more of a beefy French onion soup in comparison to other French onions I've tried. The scallops ($20) were served with a sweet a yuzu & jalapeño vinaigrette that brought out the natural sweetness of the scallops. I will say I think the portion is a bit small. Next we got the grilled octopus with a Romesco sauce which is a blend of herbs, tomato, almonds, and bell pepper. The octopus was extremely tender and grilled which paired well with the nutty and vibrant romesco. For the main, we shared a branzino($32) with chive beurre blanc. The light flavors of the butter complimented the branzino. The fish was also perfectly grilled and the skin a little crispy. I will say that it could have benefited from a little more salt nit there's salt on the table if needed. I appreciate the big portion sizes of the mains since they were really filling. We ended the night with a scoop of pistachio gelato($6). It was unique since the pistachio flavor was very natural and amazing but the gelato itself was icy but I think it's supposed to be that way. If I'm ever craving French food I would 100% come back to regalade. Our server was also attentive and sweet and i appreciated still being seated despite being a bit late for my reservation.

Made a reservation for dinner on Saturday night and was seated very promptly after a quick wait. The restaurant was bustling and was very lively. We ordered a few dishes to share, including the bread with butter, oysters, mussels, fries, and the steak frites. The steak came with the au poivre sauce which was delicious. The fries tasted great in the sauce. The servers were also very attentive and made great recommendations. The restaurant is in a smaller space so you may have to speak a bit louder to hear other people you are with, but overall it was a nice environment. We would definitely come back here!

Had an absolutely fantastic meal here, this was aan absolute 10/10. Everything we had here was so delicious and perfectly prepared. Drink menu is lovely, they have some of their own cocktails as well as a lovely selection of wines. The menu was almost exactly as if it were pulled from a Parisian bistro and placed into the heart of LA. My favorites were the chicken liver, the escargot (get some bread to pair with this), and the duck confit - perfectly tender with a nice crisp to it. Service was impeccable - we were cared for and the team was so kind despite an issue that came up on our part. Highly recommend using the valet for parking on a busy weekend night or Ubering if you're close by -- you'll have to be very lucky to find any metered parking as the neighboring streets are permit only This spot is very chic, understated but refined. Interiors are cozy, and if you sit outside the heaters will keep you warm still. Come here if you'd like a taste of Paris in LA!

My besties wanted someplace special to celebrate their birthdays and Regalade sounded like the perfect place. This charming French Bistro is quaint & cozy with indoor & outdoor seating. It was a warm spring evening and we were seated out on the patio. There were ten of us so lots of dishes were ordered and drinks were plentiful. We started with Baguette Tiede, Calamar Grille, Os A Moelle Au Four, Scallops Crudo, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Salade D'Endive, & French Fries with Garlic Aioli to share. Entrées consisted of: Moules Mariniere, Salade Verte with warm Goat Cheese, Daurade Grille, Canard Confit, Mac & Cheese Aux Truffes, & Linguine Aux Champignons Sauvages. We shared dessert: Mousse Au Chocolate Noir, Ile Flottante, Crème Brûlée (two orders of each), and Noisette Glace. My cocktail selections were Passion Project & a Kir Royale. I also tried the Le Péché Mignon & the Regalade. All were tasty. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything was expertly prepared and nicely presented. The dishes came out in a timely manner, and we never felt rushed. Everyone enjoyed their entrée selections and the dishes we shared. Our server Sal was fantastic, Tony the host was delightful, and the owner Justin checked on us to make sure everything was satisfactory and even took a picture with the birthday couple. Overall, our dining experience at Regalade was outstanding or shall I say, très magnifique! *Metered street parking.

Celebrating my birthday here. Everything was wonderfully delectable, especially mushroom pasta and duck dishes. Dessert was surprisingly scrumptious. Pavlova was the best l've had so far. Service and atmosphere were excellent.

I had a high expectations of Regalade given it is owned by the same people as Oste (which is wonderful). And it did not disappoint. Our server pointed out some of the favorites on the menu, and answered all our questions when trying to narrow down what to order. The menu was French but with a nouveau twist. We decided on the mussels with white wine sauce. The quantity was enough for 2 to share and the mussels were so plump, soft and delicious. Order the baguette to sop up the sauce as it does not come with bread. For main courses we chose the branzino and the duck confit. The branzino was white and flakey, and came over a large portion of tender Swiss chard. The sauce tied it all together. The portion is quite large with enough for the next day. The duck leg was super tender and in a not-too-sweet cherry sauce. It also came with cooked greens. For dessert the apple Tartine with vanilla ice cream was classic French and a good way to end the meal. The atmosphere has a nice French vibe. There are meters on the street which are not that easy to find, or valet.

We decided to try this place again and this time order more traditional French food and wow, everything was different! To start, we got the endive salad and I love how fresh this tasted as well as the flavor profiles with the walnuts, pear, blue cheese and endive. I'm not the biggest fan of endives in general but this was very refreshing and my friend also loved it. Then we got two appetizers: escargot and prawns. Wow! The escargot was absolutely phenomenal. It was soaked in this butter sauce that was incredible. The table next to us actually packed just the sauce to go which shows how delicious that sauce was. It was also amazing with the bread. The prawns were also very tasty as well. If you love prawns, definitely check out this dish. Then we got two mains: mussels provencale and steak frites. The mussels were amazing! We loved the sauce and that went incredibly well with the bread. The mussels also tasted very fresh. The steak was equally as amazing. The au poivre sauce it came with was so delicious. At this point we were stuffed so unfortunately (or fortunately) we did have leftovers. To end the night, we also had this apple tart that came highly recommended by the owner and this was incredible! It was perfectly flavored with the cinnamon and it went really well with the ice cream. We also decided to go for a cup of french mint tea which was perfect since it helps with digestion and we definitely needed that after this delicious meal. My dad ended up eating the leftover steak the next day and he raved about it. We also had two mocktails which were also delicious and the service we had was incredible. Definitely check out this place and even though everything we had this time was delicious, the two absolute standouts for me were the escargot and mussels!

The food, service, and ambiance here are spectacular. I had high hopes and they were met beyond my wildest dreams. This just may be the best restaurant in all the city. It's because of the quality of every detail and done with utmost finesse. In time 1 I had the duck Magret, the steak frites, the Brussels sprouts, the shrimp and for dessert the creme brûlée and a chocolate mousse given to me for my birthday. I couldn't have spent a better birthday anywhere. They bring you to Europe with what they have here. It was and is the best. Thanks Regalade and I'll see you many times again! Congrats

Everything was good in terms of service and food. It was just very loud; I mean, the place is quite small. Big fan of the dessert, especially the Pavlova -- so good. The chocolate mousse was also good but too sweet for my taste and very large; please share . The aioli for Ste fried alo delish. Will def come back!

My date and I had dinner here last night. We enjoyed the scallop crudo, mussels, brussel sprouts and the apple tart for dessert. Our server, I believe her name is Tiffany, was just lovely. Amazing service and a new go-to dinner rotation spot.

We stumbled upon this French restaurant and were told it was new, so we decided to try it out and we loved it! The service was incredible as everyone was very kind and attentive. Our waitress explained the menu to us and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. Other employees did the same. The food was absolutely delicious! The chicken and the sauce it was in was amazing. The burger had grilled onions that added a ton of flavor to the burger. The mac and cheese was good too, the only negative I'll say is that it did seem too salty and was a bit hard to keep eating from the saltiness in my opinion. While the restaurant has an upscale feel, the intimate size of the space created a relaxed/cozy atmosphere that was approachable and enjoyable.

I'd meant to come to this bistro since it opened (10 years ago! Whoa!!) but vacations to California were short and packed. Now that I've moved back, I got to take my husband for a little lunch date. We sat outside since the weather was exceptional, sunny with a cool breeze. I ordered the steak frites, pear gin and tonic, and my husband had the mussels mariniere with gin and tonic with passion fruit and grapefruit. I can't wait to order the Big Mec next time. For dessert, we shared the Paris breste. It was perfectly sweet and nutty. It was worth the wait and little journey up the 5 from OC. Five stars!

The onion soup was definitely the highlight -- rich, comforting, and one of those warm, satisfying dishes you don't come across that often. The beef tartare was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The omelette was a bit too cheesy for my taste, though that might just come down to personal preference. Banana tart is so good. Try this. The outdoor seating had a great brunch vibe and was really enjoyable, while the indoor space felt a bit small and tight. Service was also very good -- attentive and friendly throughout. Overall, a solid spot with a great atmosphere and some standout dishes.

For entrées, we ordered the Atlantic salmon and the rack of lamb. The salmon tasted very fresh, but unfortunately lacked flavor. The rack of lamb -- which is considered their signature dish -- was tender, juicy, and worth trying at least once, but honestly the appetizers stood out more than the entrées for me. It had a good acidic component from the vinaigrette and the broccolini themselves had a good bite to them. - Market lettuce, mango -- another bright dish that was needed for health purposes. It was bright and summery and delicious. MAIN - *Croque Madame -- a table favorite; I will say we cut it into 8 slices and we felt like it was enough richness with the one bite we had. I thoroughly enjoyed how fluffy the bread was and how it soaked up the sauce - *Abalone and Bay Scallop Pot Pie -- also another favorite with the richness of the pot pie. You can feel immediately that this is not some corporate restaurant group trying to imitate a French bistro -- this is a real small business built by real people who genuinely care. Over the years they've watched our family grow, celebrated birthdays and anniversaries with us, and always made us feel like more than just customers. There's something rare about walking into a restaurant and recognizing the same passion, the same warmth, and the same owners still working hard night after night. The food has consistently been outstanding. The atmosphere feels intimate, romantic, and truly Parisian without trying too hard. Every dish tastes like it was made with pride and attention, and the wine recommendations are always spot on. It's one of those places where you can tell the owners are personally invested in every detail. What we appreciate most is supporting an authentic independent restaurant in a time where so many places feel manufactured or transactional. Entre Nous has heart. You can feel the years of sacrifice, dedication, and love behind it. Pasadena is lucky to have a place like this. We'll continue supporting them for many more years to come.

You even get to select your own knife made in France if you order the ribeye. Amuse-bouche: perfect cheesy bite Onion tartine: I can't stop thinking about this. It's SO good! Sourdough bread, topped with French cheeses and a gravy, like a deconstructed French onion soup. Devine. Endive Salad: a light, refreshing Cesar salad with a passion fruit twist. Tartare: Made perfectly flavorful, paired with a basil leaf coated in - light tempura batter, delicious. Ribeye: Tender and juicy. Mushroom Pithivier: Who knew mushrooms could be cooked in such a buttery, flavorful way wrapped up in a delicate heavenly pastry. Potatoes: Again, who knew little potatoes could be cooked in a way that makes each bite taste so creamy, yet simple, but so delicious?! Asparagus with Bernaise sauce: Cooked perfectly. Lobster Risotto: Creamy, tomato-based sauce, with perfectly cooked risotto topped with delectable lobster. Le Burger and pommes fritte: The burger is so juicy, rich is flavor, the meat literally melts in your mouth. The fries are too salty. Kiwi: Unfortunately I'm allergic and couldn't try it, but everyone in my party LOVED it. Bread pudding: I've never had dark chocolate baked into a bread pudding and it's the best bread pudding I've ever had. Yum! Paired with vanilla ice cream. Extra yum! A wonderful experience and I know exactly what I'm coming back for!

I love a good steak. I dream about it. So when I saw an Instagram ad for Camphor advertising their…read moreThursday-only $65 prix fixe Steak Frites menu, I made the reservation before the video even ended. This high-end hipster restaurant is tucked down a graffiti-covered alleyway downtown, on one of the blocks that somehow doesn't have that many homeless people. The entrance is unassuming and plain, which I guess is cool now? Are we over flashy? I don't know. Walking inside, you feel... nothing. The employees are all dressed in white. The restaurant is all white. It's a little bland. Near the entrance are four white upholstered chairs where you wait while your table is prepared. These chairs have seen better days. The white fabric looks like wet dogs have been sleeping and wrestling on them for years. Dirty, stained, gray. I'll stand, thanks. The prix fixe menu includes a French baguette, French butter, a summer salad, and your steak frites: a hanger steak with tarragon parsley sauce. The highlight of the meal was the bread. Soft center, crispy crust, and the butter was topped with flaky rock salt. Simple and delicious. The salad was light and bright, and by that point I was excited for the steak. I always order my steak medium. Is that right? Is that wrong? I don't know. Blood freaks me out, so I like just a little pink. The steak arrived and the presentation was a 10/10. The fries were great. Hard to mess those up. The parsley tarragon sauce was interesting at first. A flavor profile I don't think I've had before. The first bite was solid. But then came the problem: the hanger steak was tough and blood red. I had to chew it so much that I was completely over the parsley tarragon sauce before I was even halfway through the meal. The sauce also became overpowering and salty fast. The restaurant is dark, which I'm convinced is intentional so you don't notice the "medium" steak you ordered is actually rare because they have a Michelin star and apparently they know better than you. The service was fine, and my server was delightful. The restaurant clearly knows that, because they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill. And even with the gratuity already included, the receipt still has suggested tip amounts printed on it just in case you're looking to hit that magical 40% tip threshold. All in all, it was fine. If I had been served this exact steak frites while sitting in first class on a Delta Air Lines flight from LAX to JFK, 10/10. But driving an hour through Los Angeles traffic and Gotham City conditions to be greeted by dirty furniture and an okay steak? 6/10.
