Stopped by around 11 AM on a quick coffee mission and was pleasantly surprised. Their latte was excellent, and the cookie selection, next level, impossible to ignore. What really elevated the experience was the exceptional staff. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Great service & great energy.

Ambiance -- romantic, low light vibes. Creative, artsy decor. Amazing service. The experience was enjoyable. Waiters provided recommendations on food and drinks. Great food! I love the crudo appetizer the most. Thankfully I came with a party of 5, so we ordered multiple plates and shared everything.

We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The service was absolutely amazing -- our server was so attentive, always making sure our glasses were full and that we had everything we needed. Thanks to the professional and friendly staff, we had such a wonderful and memorable time. Every brunch dish we ordered was incredibly delicious, and all the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. The atmosphere, both inside and outside, was beautiful, clean, and relaxing -- such a lovely place to enjoy a meal. They also sell freshly baked bread, and I saw people stopping by just to buy it. Next time, I'll definitely be back to get some bread too! Highly recommend this place for any special occasion or just a nice brunch outing!

I believe this is a newer spot in town since it's tucked away in a part of town that looks to have a lot of new buildings. When you walk in there are a bunch of sweets laid for you to see which all look delicious. They have great decor and design. We got a few things and the food was decent. The menu does seem to be all over the place as there were some Italian dishes with some Asians inspired ones. The milkbread was okay and the pizza was decent. Service was quick but there wasn't a lot of people but that was to be expected for a new spot and hopefully they can work out their kinks.

We went for lunch on a Saturday. The place was surprisingly empty, it was just us and another table. We ordered drinks, they came out pretty fast. I asked the waiter about gluten free recommendations and he made some suggestions (Spanish omelette) We were four people and ordered four dishes: a burger, a burrito, and 2 Spanish omelettes. The burger came out after 15 minutes or so, then nothing else. My friend starts eating his food... then finished his food and we are still waiting. The waiter finally comes out telling us the Spanish omelettes always take longer but the food will be out shortly. Another 10 minutes goes by and they brought us two croissants on the house to apologize (they contain gluten, I can't eat them). There was a 40 minute delay between the first burger and the other 3 dishes being served to us. We pretty much waited a full hour for our food. 1. All dishes should have been served together 2. They should have warned us about the long wait for Spanish omelettes. We might have ordered something else or added extra appetizers - we were starving 3. After all this wait the Spanish omelette lacked flavor Extremely disappointed

*** Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurants (2024): #87 *** Feeling celebratory for a number of reasons, we ended up at Mr. T this past Wednesday for dinner around 8pm. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that all wine here is half off on Wednesdays, so we started off sampling a couple of their red wines (Cabernet and Pinot Noir). To eat, we split the Milk Bread, Chip N' Dip, L'oursin, Poireaux & Burrata, Mr T Pates A La Truffe, and Boeuf Bourguignon. My favorite dishes were the Milk Bread and Boeuf Bourguignon (braised short ribs). Service was impeccable. The ambiance was nice and elevated. If you haven't been, I'd recommend giving this place a try.

This Sunday morning I dropped by Mr. T to try their croissant. I got there around 9:45 AM. It was not busy. Their croissants are good. Right texture. Light on the buttery taste. Crunchy on the outside. But not flaky. It felt like I was eating a manufactured croissant. They tried to be too perfect. DJ's rating: 3.90/5.00 Would I come back? No.

Excellent restaurant for small plates and light bites. I felt that everything was executed very well all around with the steak being a particular standout, as well as the apple pie. Steak was a perfect medium with fantastic marbling and melt-in-the-mouth texture. Apple pie crust was so flakey and crispy and paired excellently with some vanilla ice cream over top. Came here for a team event and the place could easily accommodate us 20+ folks with a private room/area in the back. Also noticed many people sitting in a more intimate area, so seems like quite a versatile place for all kinds of party sizes. Could see this being a great date night spot as well! Would not mind coming back when I am in LA again.

Mr. T is a chic bistro oasis in Los Angeles! A lovely menu, beautiful shaded patio, and artistic presentation. A perfect little spot to enjoy great coffee and delicious light fare in a calm, peaceful setting. It's also perfect if you want to sit outside, but don't want to be in the sun. It feels like a secret little retreat. I love it! Service was friendly and felt genuine. Although you order at the counter, it didn't really feel like a number-on-a-stick kinda spot. It's a quietly elevated zen respite, and I love that about it! Looking forward to more visits!

We had my girlfriend's birthday here in the back room last month. Vincent, the Event Manager, was so helpful during the planning process, guiding us with the prix fixe menu selection and answering our endless questions. We reserved the private room and patio for our party. It was POURING rain when we arrived- the staff had moved both tables inside and it worked out perfectly. The private room has a record player and wall full of albums, nice touch. Guillaume and Annie made us feel at home. I warned Guillaume that although we are civilized people with excellent taste, we'd be chugging wine like a bizarro-world bacchanal French Oktoberfest. He helped me make some outstanding selections for a great price. Opening round of cocktails were all fantastic and well balanced, the food was outstanding (shout out to the blowtorched cheeseburger!), 100% would recommend! We'll be back for date night.

This very special spot is a wonderful find with a Happy Hour from 5 to 7 and a breakfast Burrito with chicken sausage to die for. This is an elegant after work or date night or a solid place to sit and enjoy coffee and journal. Morgan was a great energy as a server and very kind. An added bonus is actual french speakers who work here who really give that amazing Paris vibe with an LA smile. Merci Beaucoup!

Pretty space w a big heated patio, Mr T is French but not afraid to take chances w some Asia-inspired dishes (Galbi-jjim, lumpia). My friend and I split the Burrata salad (delicious) and Lobster Linguine (absolutely amazing) and rib-eye steak w cauliflower purée and leek sauce (ok). Maybe bc the pasta was so out of this world, the steak paled in comparison? The chocolate mouse for dessert was also just okay though huge in portion size. One person cannot eat it all. And a quick shoutout to Allen our server - his charming and professional demeanor added to the experience in a positive way. Definitely plan on coming back to try the lumpia and also the brunch.

My favorite thing about Mr. T is how it fits every vibes. You want to have a lunch in peace and read a book? Come for a lunch on the patio. You want a cosy romantic time? Come for diner. You want to meet new people? Come to one of their special events. I love the quality of the sound system and the playlists. Food is absolutely delicious and the service is professional, fast and kind. My favorite food in LA.

Main dishes. Truffle pasta, steak and chicken dinner.

I'd meant to come to this bistro since it opened (10 years ago! Whoa!!) but vacations to California were short and packed. Now that I've moved back, I got to take my husband for a little lunch date. We sat outside since the weather was exceptional, sunny with a cool breeze. I ordered the steak frites, pear gin and tonic, and my husband had the mussels mariniere with gin and tonic with passion fruit and grapefruit. I can't wait to order the Big Mec next time. For dessert, we shared the Paris breste. It was perfectly sweet and nutty. It was worth the wait and little journey up the 5 from OC. Five stars!

The onion soup was definitely the highlight -- rich, comforting, and one of those warm, satisfying dishes you don't come across that often. The beef tartare was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The omelette was a bit too cheesy for my taste, though that might just come down to personal preference. Banana tart is so good. Try this. The outdoor seating had a great brunch vibe and was really enjoyable, while the indoor space felt a bit small and tight. Service was also very good -- attentive and friendly throughout. Overall, a solid spot with a great atmosphere and some standout dishes.

The escargot was also very flavorful, especially if you enjoy garlic. The bread it comes with is a great touch since you can dip it into the sauce or pour the garlic butter over it. For entrées, we ordered the Atlantic salmon and the rack of lamb. The salmon tasted very fresh, but unfortunately lacked flavor. The rack of lamb -- which is considered their signature dish -- was tender, juicy, and worth trying at least once, but honestly the appetizers stood out more than the entrées for me. We also got two cocktails: the Pomegranate Margarita and the Casanova. Both were good and definitely on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend them if you enjoy sweeter drinks. Overall, I would come back mainly for the appetizers and cocktails.

It had a good acidic component from the vinaigrette and the broccolini themselves had a good bite to them. - Market lettuce, mango -- another bright dish that was needed for health purposes. It was bright and summery and delicious. MAIN - *Croque Madame -- a table favorite; I will say we cut it into 8 slices and we felt like it was enough richness with the one bite we had. I thoroughly enjoyed how fluffy the bread was and how it soaked up the sauce - *Abalone and Bay Scallop Pot Pie -- also another favorite with the richness of the pot pie. Ample mushrooms which I thoroughly enjoyed. The puff pastry was also very flaky. The "pot pie" is more butter based so it is a rich dish. - Spaghetti Bolognese -- perfectly al dente pasta; a good bolognese but nothing to write home about for me - *Loup de Mer -- enjoyed the flaky yet tender fish that paired well with the sauces in the dish. I enjoyed that it didn't feel overly heavy, but the dish matched the thickness of the fish itself - *Pekin duck breast -- served medium rare which was perfect. I didn't get much peking flavor, but did enjoy the skin and cut of the duck breast. The french fries were also nicely seasoned. DESSERT/DRINK - Espresso martini -- I would skip. I was disappointed by the drink itself. Pandan can often have an artificial vanilla taste and that artificial taste unfortunately was the major note of the drink. It also tasted quite watery which was a disappointment - Chocolate Fondant -- a molten lava cake; nice and hot. The restaurant paces the food well so you feel satiated, however, I think I would prefer to have had things come out a little more quickly. There's something rare about walking into a restaurant and recognizing the same passion, the same warmth, and the same owners still working hard night after night. The food has consistently been outstanding. The atmosphere feels intimate, romantic, and truly Parisian without trying too hard. Every dish tastes like it was made with pride and attention, and the wine recommendations are always spot on. You even get to select your own knife made in France if you order the ribeye. Amuse-bouche: perfect cheesy bite Onion tartine: I can't stop thinking about this. It's SO good! Sourdough bread, topped with French cheeses and a gravy, like a deconstructed French onion soup. Devine. Endive Salad: a light, refreshing Cesar salad with a passion fruit twist. Tartare: Made perfectly flavorful, paired with a basil leaf coated in - light tempura batter, delicious. Ribeye: Tender and juicy. Mushroom Pithivier: Who knew mushrooms could be cooked in such a buttery, flavorful way wrapped up in a delicate heavenly pastry. Potatoes: Again, who knew little potatoes could be cooked in a way that makes each bite taste so creamy, yet simple, but so delicious?! Asparagus with Bernaise sauce: Cooked perfectly. Lobster Risotto: Creamy, tomato-based sauce, with perfectly cooked risotto topped with delectable lobster. Le Burger and pommes fritte: The burger is so juicy, rich is flavor, the meat literally melts in your mouth. The fries are too salty. Kiwi: Unfortunately I'm allergic and couldn't try it, but everyone in my party LOVED it. Bread pudding: I've never had dark chocolate baked into a bread pudding and it's the best bread pudding I've ever had. Yum! Paired with vanilla ice cream. Extra yum! A wonderful experience and I know exactly what I'm coming back for!

This high-end hipster restaurant is tucked down a graffiti-covered alleyway downtown, on one of the blocks that somehow doesn't have that many homeless people. The entrance is unassuming and plain, which I guess is cool now? Are we over flashy? I don't know. Walking inside, you feel... nothing. The employees are all dressed in white. The restaurant is all white. It's a little bland. Near the entrance are four white upholstered chairs where you wait while your table is prepared. These chairs have seen better days. The white fabric looks like wet dogs have been sleeping and wrestling on them for years. Dirty, stained, gray. I'll stand, thanks. The prix fixe menu includes a French baguette, French butter, a summer salad, and your steak frites: a hanger steak with tarragon parsley sauce. The highlight of the meal was the bread. Soft center, crispy crust, and the butter was topped with flaky rock salt. Simple and delicious. The salad was light and bright, and by that point I was excited for the steak. I always order my steak medium. Is that right? Is that wrong? I don't know. Blood freaks me out, so I like just a little pink. The steak arrived and the presentation was a 10/10. The fries were great. Hard to mess those up. The parsley tarragon sauce was interesting at first. A flavor profile I don't think I've had before. The first bite was solid. But then came the problem: the hanger steak was tough and blood red. I had to chew it so much that I was completely over the parsley tarragon sauce before I was even halfway through the meal. The sauce also became overpowering and salty fast. The restaurant is dark, which I'm convinced is intentional so you don't notice the "medium" steak you ordered is actually rare because they have a Michelin star and apparently they know better than you. The service was fine, and my server was delightful. The restaurant clearly knows that, because they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill. And even with the gratuity already included, the receipt still has suggested tip amounts printed on it just in case you're looking to hit that magical 40% tip threshold. All in all, it was fine. If I had been served this exact steak frites while sitting in first class on a Delta Air Lines flight from LAX to JFK, 10/10. But driving an hour through Los Angeles traffic and Gotham City conditions to be greeted by dirty furniture and an okay steak? 6/10.
