Steak, Electric Fries and bass in carrot broth
    Su L.

My husband wanted to check out the new French place in the neighborhood, so we made a last-minute dinner reservation and came here on a Friday night in February. We found street parking close to the restaurant easily. Electric Bleu has both indoor and outdoor seating, though it looked like most of their seating was indoor. It's a tight restaurant, and they were busy on a Friday night, but we got seated immediately. The tables are close together for the most part, and in this sense it felt more like a restaurant in NYC than in LA. Our server came over with waters and menus right away. I've heard that the menu here changes somewhat frequently. My husband ordered the fish, which was a white fish that I believe came with a carrot puree and some other vegetables. It was delicious and a good option for a lighter main. I ordered the steak frites, which came with fries that were garnished with chicken salt, an Australian condiment that is not well known or popular in the US. Both the steak and fries were excellent - for anyone who hasn't tried fries with chicken salt, I recommend coming here to try them ASAP. You'll never go back to regular fries. We thought the food was top-tier, and this is now one of our favorite French restaurants on the west side. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Stopped into this French hidden gem over in the Mar Vista area and was very pleased with my entire experience. I'm a huge fan of French cuisine, and have already been to all the other LA options, so was glad to find this new one to try. Inside is quite large and all seating is indoor, they don't have any outside seating. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered arrived quickly. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, but free neighborhood street parking is easy to find. I started off with the Pâté en CroÛte which was wonderful. I tend to like creamier pate but this a nice and hearty country version. Next came the Spring Pea Soup which had nice flavors but I just was not a fan of, that is more on me though because I am not a fan of pea flavor, I would have preferred onion soup. For my entree I chose the Steak au Poivre which was fabulous. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavors. For dessert we chose the Strawberry Roll Cake and thought it was delicious. We ordered 2 inches but wished we would have got more. Overall a fantastic French dinner in a great setting, I would recommend to anyone.

First time at Electric Bleu and we had such a wonderful evening celebrating hubs bday. Our server made excellent recommendations for food and wine. Our order: Pâté en croûte Soupe l'oignon Cara Cara salad Beef cheek Roasted chicken (incredible, my fave) Chocolate mousse Must return to try the electric fries! The bathroom is worth a visit. the restaurant is warm, inviting, and a cozy space.

The entire restaurant was packed on a Friday night! We had a reservation and were promptly seated on the patio. Upon learning my dog's name was Remy, one of the staff members proceeded to have a full on conversation with him in French. From that moment on, I knew I would love this place. We enjoyed the scallop crudo, chicken salt fries, and sea bass. Everything was generously portioned and cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with the pavlova dessert which was citrusy and refreshing! Very happy to have Electric Bleu in the neighborhood. I look forward to coming back!

Came here for an early family holiday dinner yesterday Parking- there is a lot in the back Ambiance- it's a modern French/ American vibe. Bathrooms have blue light and some flashing which is fun. We had a group of 7 and the booth/table we were at was a bit tricky/ narrow (think Paris) to get in and out. Service -5/5 She was very friendly and patient. Explained the dishes and specials and portions (French). Food-5/5 Everything was good! From the oysters to the scallop crudo (my favorite appetizer), and onion soup, the starters were a hit. The duck breast was delicious- tender and medium rare The beef check bourguignon was tender and flavorful but more American than French. Wish it had more mushrooms (there were 2-3) and wish it had roasted diced carrots and potatoes instead of over mashed potatoes. Ambiance- 4/5 It's cute, small restaurant but the seating for our group was a bit difficult and a few of the people in our group had to use lights to see the menu since it was a bit darker

I went to Electric Blue on a Sunday night and it was pretty darn busy. The restaurant is nice and they serve French/American cuisine. I had the beef cheek (which was tasty ) and my son had the combination with the duck in it. Everything was tasty, but I thought the portion was fairly small on the beef cheek for the price. Our server was nice, but he double charged us for something , it was a mistake. They don't print out the full bill with all the itemization to hand you at the table. They just handed it to you on a computerized tablet. So it's very hard to see any discrepancies. It took a while to clear it up and will have to look at our credit card bill to make sure everything turned ok Make sure you check your final bill!

Sooooooooo yummy! The flavors are perfectly balanced here. The chef is talented. Salad dressing was perfect, sauce on the roasted chicken was perfect, everything was perfect, this place is amazing. Yummy beer. Thank you Electric Bleu!

The French version of rice pudding with crumble and caramel. So good.

What an experience. The service was outstanding and super fun. Maybe it was where we sat but we had so much fun talking to everyone. The chicken was so juicy, the electric fries woooow. Kept eating. The prawns were ok but in the end everything was so good.

My husband and I come here every Friday! Celso always makes us feel like family. The wine is out of this world and he always has great recommendations based on the menu. Our recommendation? tThe steak au poivre, chicken salt fries, something fresh, and something new to the menu. It never disappoints. Cheers!

We had a great dinner at Electric Bleu! We ordered everything that our waitress recommended to us. The tomato salad was a star- the dressing on it was flavorful and delicious! We ordered a baguette to dip in the dressing per our waitresses recommendation. The steak au poivre was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. It was very tender. The French fries were great dipped in the sauce (I thought the fries were too salty, but my friends really enjoyed them so just personal preference). The chicken was juicy and the sauce and potatoes it came with were delicious. We also loved the dauphine potatoes with the chive aioli. We felt like the desserts were the best part- the chocolate mousse (available every week) reminded us of the texture of mousse in Paris which is so hard to find! The rice pudding was the special of the week (they do a special each week) and we loved it! The restaurant is super cute (a little tight with some 2 seater tables in the middle of the walking space) Overall highly recommend!

'SHOULD'VE STAYED IN THE BAR'. I really loved this place. Great food, great wine, nice ambiance. The bartender is superb and a lovely person. I've been there many times and have met some wonderful guests and servers. My friends and I have been frequenting the bar area. We've never been turned away. Just the other day after an extremely busy time at work, I really wanted a glass of wine and a good meal. We made a table reservation. I have never experienced their table service. I arrived early and was given a hearty greeting from Electric Bleu's ace bartender. I savored my French vino and waited for my pals. That's when I met "Gen Z" host who told me there were (2} tables becoming available. The host pointed to a table by the center window and another table on the far end near the bathroom and kitchen (under a large mirror). The table by the mirror was apparently ready, however I told this employee that we'd prefer the table by the window. At this point, the host gave me the most expressive eye-roll that I have ever seen.. ending with a "lid-flutter" that could not be faked or ignored. If there was an academy award® for a "sighing scowl", this performer would definitely walk home with the statue. I found it over-the-top and I mentioned it to Gen Z in a joking manner. My friends arrived, and a nano-second later, this same host approaches us, but this time Zeroed in and starts talking to my friends directly, completely ignoring me.. staring right through me with an icy disposition. I was completely blown away by the lack of respect and defiance. Once again, this host was pushing my party to the table under the mirror, and I let her know (again) that we did not want it, but she kept at it with my friends, completely ignoring me. Honestly, it was rude and obnoxious. BTW/ I've worked in many restaurants and I know how important it is to be friendly and professional. This person did not get the first answer that they wanted to hear, so they focused on someone else in the party. Completely ice cold. This led to a fight with my friends because I was annoyed, so I ended up leaving. I wrote to Electric Bleu with this complaint. The partner/owner wrote me back with what seemed to be an anthropic® type of response. A milquetoast "PC" response that you might expect. I wrote back to this owner telling them I will not be returning, and I will warn my friends (and community) about the lousy service that I received from their snotty, rude host. This is how they treat a returning patron who has shelled out quite a bit over the past year. It's too bad, because I really liked the place, but I should have stayed in the bar area, and not dealt with the other staff and proprietors who don't seem to know how to handle their employees or guests. Otherwise, 5 stars! ***** Salut!

I am so glad we found this place and that they could seat us at the bar because we did not have a reservation. The food was amazing. We ordered the fries, steak, and chicken. All of the entrees were delicious. I was not expecting the music selection to be the best mixed tape in my Vans shoe box!

Electric Bleu - Mar Vista This was our second visit to Electric Bleu, and once again the experience was exceptional. The restaurant delivers a rare combination of exquisite cuisine, meticulous attention to detail, and truly outstanding service. Food: Every dish reflects the team's commitment to sourcing the highest-quality ingredients. The cheeses are selected from the Beverly Hills Cheese Store, the lamb is sourced directly from ranchers in Australia through the chef's long-standing relationships (the chef being a former Michelin-star recipient), and the chicken comes from Amish farmers on the East Coast. The result is remarkable depth of flavor and a level of care that is evident with every bite. Each plate was prepared beautifully and with precision. Service: Our server, Aimée, once again provided exceptional hospitality. She remembered us from our visit over a month ago--including where we sat and what we ordered--which made the evening feel incredibly personal. Her style is warm, authentic, and perfectly balanced. She checks in at exactly the right moments, never rushed, never intrusive, even on a fully booked night. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and natural ease truly elevate the dining experience. Management: We were also delighted to be greeted by the owner, Mai. On our first visit she welcomed us in an elegant, gracious manner, and this time she was working alongside her team, apron on, engaging with guests and supporting staff throughout the evening. Despite the busy dining room, she took the time to speak with us and made us feel genuinely appreciated. Her presence and hospitality set the tone for the entire restaurant. Overall: Electric Bleu is an exceptional addition to the Mar Vista neighborhood. The quality of the food, the thoughtfulness behind the ingredients, and the outstanding service make it a standout dining destination. We feel fortunate to have this restaurant nearby and look forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Steak au poivre, dauphinoise potatoes, green beans; chicken liver mousse starter, all very good.

The beef tartare was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The omelette was a bit too cheesy for my taste, though that might just come down to personal preference. Banana tart is so good. The rack of lamb -- which is considered their signature dish -- was tender, juicy, and worth trying at least once, but honestly the appetizers stood out more than the entrées for me. We also got two cocktails: the Pomegranate Margarita and the Casanova. Both were good and definitely on the sweeter side, so I'd recommend them if you enjoy sweeter drinks. This was a common theme across all the dishes we ordered. I generally enjoy foods on the saltier side, but if I thought it was salty, it would probably be too salty for others. Definitely get the pot pie, it was the star of the night. We were able to find street parking, but there are also parking lots nearby that cost around $5 an hour.

It had a good acidic component from the vinaigrette and the broccolini themselves had a good bite to them. - Market lettuce, mango -- another bright dish that was needed for health purposes. It was bright and summery and delicious. MAIN - *Croque Madame -- a table favorite; I will say we cut it into 8 slices and we felt like it was enough richness with the one bite we had. I thoroughly enjoyed how fluffy the bread was and how it soaked up the sauce - *Abalone and Bay Scallop Pot Pie -- also another favorite with the richness of the pot pie. Ample mushrooms which I thoroughly enjoyed. The puff pastry was also very flaky. The "pot pie" is more butter based so it is a rich dish. - Spaghetti Bolognese -- perfectly al dente pasta; a good bolognese but nothing to write home about for me - *Loup de Mer -- enjoyed the flaky yet tender fish that paired well with the sauces in the dish. I enjoyed that it didn't feel overly heavy, but the dish matched the thickness of the fish itself - *Pekin duck breast -- served medium rare which was perfect. I didn't get much peking flavor, but did enjoy the skin and cut of the duck breast. The french fries were also nicely seasoned. DESSERT/DRINK - Espresso martini -- I would skip. I was disappointed by the drink itself. Pandan can often have an artificial vanilla taste and that artificial taste unfortunately was the major note of the drink. It also tasted quite watery which was a disappointment - Chocolate Fondant -- a molten lava cake; nice and hot. The restaurant paces the food well so you feel satiated, however, I think I would prefer to have had things come out a little more quickly. All our mains were served one by one which led for idle hands at times.

The owners added to the warmth of the space genuinely welcoming, the kind of presence that makes a place feel personal rather than polished-for show. The sea bass was the standout: perfectly crisped skin, buttery and delicate underneath, resting over earthy lentils that soaked up every bit of flavor. Paired with a smooth Malbec, it all came together effortlessly. But honestly, the best part of the night wasn't just the food or the wine. it was the company. The soft candlelight, a shared table, and her next to me made everything taste better. A spot that feels intimate without trying too hard. Definitely coming back.

You even get to select your own knife made in France if you order the ribeye. Amuse-bouche: perfect cheesy bite Onion tartine: I can't stop thinking about this. It's SO good! Sourdough bread, topped with French cheeses and a gravy, like a deconstructed French onion soup. Devine. Endive Salad: a light, refreshing Cesar salad with a passion fruit twist. Tartare: Made perfectly flavorful, paired with a basil leaf coated in - light tempura batter, delicious. Ribeye: Tender and juicy. Mushroom Pithivier: Who knew mushrooms could be cooked in such a buttery, flavorful way wrapped up in a delicate heavenly pastry. Potatoes: Again, who knew little potatoes could be cooked in a way that makes each bite taste so creamy, yet simple, but so delicious?! Asparagus with Bernaise sauce: Cooked perfectly. Lobster Risotto: Creamy, tomato-based sauce, with perfectly cooked risotto topped with delectable lobster. Le Burger and pommes fritte: The burger is so juicy, rich is flavor, the meat literally melts in your mouth. The fries are too salty. Kiwi: Unfortunately I'm allergic and couldn't try it, but everyone in my party LOVED it. Bread pudding: I've never had dark chocolate baked into a bread pudding and it's the best bread pudding I've ever had. Yum! Paired with vanilla ice cream. Extra yum! I love a good steak. I dream about it. So when I saw an Instagram ad for Camphor advertising their…read moreThursday-only $65 prix fixe Steak Frites menu, I made the reservation before the video even ended. This high-end hipster restaurant is tucked down a graffiti-covered alleyway downtown, on one of the blocks that somehow doesn't have that many homeless people. The entrance is unassuming and plain, which I guess is cool now? Are we over flashy? I don't know. Walking inside, you feel... nothing. The employees are all dressed in white. The restaurant is all white. It's a little bland. Near the entrance are four white upholstered chairs where you wait while your table is prepared. These chairs have seen better days. The white fabric looks like wet dogs have been sleeping and wrestling on them for years. Dirty, stained, gray. I'll stand, thanks. The prix fixe menu includes a French baguette, French butter, a summer salad, and your steak frites: a hanger steak with tarragon parsley sauce. The highlight of the meal was the bread. Soft center, crispy crust, and the butter was topped with flaky rock salt. Simple and delicious. The salad was light and bright, and by that point I was excited for the steak. I always order my steak medium. Is that right? Is that wrong? I don't know. Blood freaks me out, so I like just a little pink. The steak arrived and the presentation was a 10/10. The fries were great. Hard to mess those up. The parsley tarragon sauce was interesting at first. A flavor profile I don't think I've had before. The first bite was solid. But then came the problem: the hanger steak was tough and blood red. I had to chew it so much that I was completely over the parsley tarragon sauce before I was even halfway through the meal. The sauce also became overpowering and salty fast. The restaurant is dark, which I'm convinced is intentional so you don't notice the "medium" steak you ordered is actually rare because they have a Michelin star and apparently they know better than you. The service was fine, and my server was delightful. The restaurant clearly knows that, because they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill. And even with the gratuity already included, the receipt still has suggested tip amounts printed on it just in case you're looking to hit that magical 40% tip threshold. All in all, it was fine. If I had been served this exact steak frites while sitting in first class on a Delta Air Lines flight from LAX to JFK, 10/10. But driving an hour through Los Angeles traffic and Gotham City conditions to be greeted by dirty furniture and an okay steak? 6/10.
