As soon as you walk into this place, you already know the food will be good from the smell alone. Was greeted by a charming host who can speak fluent authentic French. Seated comfortably in the corner, we had the choice of tasting menu or regular anything you want menu. We chose the later and had no regrets. But after loving every dish sent our way, I do want to come back for the tasting menu. I noticed menu is seasonal (great sign that the chefs stay on top of best ingredients), so good luck ordering what we had today... but nonetheless, here we go: Pea soup. SO GOOD. I slurped up every drop and cleaned the bowl with my bread. Baguette and butter. It's perfect. A must order if you order soup. See sentences above. Nectarine salad. Omgggggg freshness on a plate. Lamb. Perfect cook and it comes with an amazing puree. Roasted chicken. The side potatoes alone is worth the order. The roll cake with strawberries. I don't even like dessert but thought this was delicious. 10/10 would come again and recommend.

Everything about this restaurant was absolutely lovely! The vibes were just right, the service was fantastic and the food was really good. We especially enjoyed the baguette that our waitress recommended (10/10!!) and the corn beignets that came with the soup. The tomato salad was summer on a plate. I probably wouldn't order the mushrooms or ravioli next time, but the salmon was perfectly cooked and very tasty! They accidentally brought us the wrong dessert and so we got to try two-- the roll cake wasn't my favorite but I quite enjoyed the peach one that was brought by mistake. Very cute spot for a date night!

Easy reservations, easy parking, and a nice little patio. The service was good and chill in the LA style, chatted about wine options without a hint of snootiness. The baguette was great, same with the steak au poivre. The highlight were the fries, which were cooked PERFECTLY, and had a ton of flavor thanks to the "chicken salt." Though I might ask for light chicken salt next time, it became powerful over time. The one miss for me was the ravioli, which is only 4 of them for $24 and just aren't that amazing. Overall, a cool little spot!

Stopped into this French hidden gem over in the Mar Vista area and was very pleased with my entire experience. I'm a huge fan of French cuisine, and have already been to all the other LA options, so was glad to find this new one to try. Inside is quite large and all seating is indoor, they don't have any outside seating. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered arrived quickly. They don't have a dedicated parking lot, but free neighborhood street parking is easy to find. I started off with the Pâté en CroÛte which was wonderful. I tend to like creamier pate but this a nice and hearty country version. Next came the Spring Pea Soup which had nice flavors but I just was not a fan of, that is more on me though because I am not a fan of pea flavor, I would have preferred onion soup. For my entree I chose the Steak au Poivre which was fabulous. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavors. For dessert we chose the Strawberry Roll Cake and thought it was delicious. We ordered 2 inches but wished we would have got more. Overall a fantastic French dinner in a great setting, I would recommend to anyone.

Just got back from a delightful "date night" dinner at Electric Bleu. From the moment the hostess checked us in, we felt like we were welcomed guests. Jessica, our server, was wonderful. She walked us through the menu and after we ordered suggested an absolutely delicious Pinot Noir that paired perfectly with everything. And Benjamin, the general manager, even made a point of stopping by to chat for a few minutes. The whole experience was terrific. And the food... We started with the baguette and butter. Because if you are claiming to be a French bistro, that's kind of the litmus test. It passed, with flying colors. Next up was the nectarine salad and the cepes. They were both new additions and i wish I could provide better descriptions, but they were both outstanding. The salad was a perfect blend of sweet and sour and salty, and the cepes were literally bursting with umami (okay, not literally, but you get my gist). Literally (and yes, this time literally) wiped the bowl clean with the baguette. For mains we had the quail stuffed with sausage, the steak au poivre, and the French fries. Every bite was delicious. Hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, it would be the steak. Desert was a peach with raspberry sorbet and a toasted meringue cap. I'm not a big dessert guy, but this was worth the extra minutes on the treadmill. All in all, a truly lovely evening and we're so lucky to have such an amazing restaurant in the neighborhood. We can't wait to come back.

My husband wanted to check out the new French place in the neighborhood, so we made a last-minute dinner reservation and came here on a Friday night in February. We found street parking close to the restaurant easily. Electric Bleu has both indoor and outdoor seating, though it looked like most of their seating was indoor. It's a tight restaurant, and they were busy on a Friday night, but we got seated immediately. The tables are close together for the most part, and in this sense it felt more like a restaurant in NYC than in LA. Our server came over with waters and menus right away. I've heard that the menu here changes somewhat frequently. My husband ordered the fish, which was a white fish that I believe came with a carrot puree and some other vegetables. It was delicious and a good option for a lighter main. I ordered the steak frites, which came with fries that were garnished with chicken salt, an Australian condiment that is not well known or popular in the US. Both the steak and fries were excellent - for anyone who hasn't tried fries with chicken salt, I recommend coming here to try them ASAP. You'll never go back to regular fries. We thought the food was top-tier, and this is now one of our favorite French restaurants on the west side. Would highly recommend and will be back.

First time at Electric Bleu and we had such a wonderful evening celebrating hubs bday. Our server made excellent recommendations for food and wine. Our order: Pâté en croûte Soupe l'oignon Cara Cara salad Beef cheek Roasted chicken (incredible, my fave) Chocolate mousse Must return to try the electric fries! The bathroom is worth a visit. the restaurant is warm, inviting, and a cozy space.

The entire restaurant was packed on a Friday night! We had a reservation and were promptly seated on the patio. Upon learning my dog's name was Remy, one of the staff members proceeded to have a full on conversation with him in French. From that moment on, I knew I would love this place. We enjoyed the scallop crudo, chicken salt fries, and sea bass. Everything was generously portioned and cooked to perfection. We ended the meal with the pavlova dessert which was citrusy and refreshing! Very happy to have Electric Bleu in the neighborhood. I look forward to coming back!

Came here for an early family holiday dinner yesterday Parking- there is a lot in the back Ambiance- it's a modern French/ American vibe. Bathrooms have blue light and some flashing which is fun. We had a group of 7 and the booth/table we were at was a bit tricky/ narrow (think Paris) to get in and out. Service -5/5 She was very friendly and patient. Explained the dishes and specials and portions (French). Food-5/5 Everything was good! From the oysters to the scallop crudo (my favorite appetizer), and onion soup, the starters were a hit. The duck breast was delicious- tender and medium rare The beef check bourguignon was tender and flavorful but more American than French. Wish it had more mushrooms (there were 2-3) and wish it had roasted diced carrots and potatoes instead of over mashed potatoes. Ambiance- 4/5 It's cute, small restaurant but the seating for our group was a bit difficult and a few of the people in our group had to use lights to see the menu since it was a bit darker

The French version of rice pudding with crumble and caramel. So good.

What an experience. The service was outstanding and super fun. Maybe it was where we sat but we had so much fun talking to everyone. The chicken was so juicy, the electric fries woooow. Kept eating. The prawns were ok but in the end everything was so good.

We had a great dinner at Electric Bleu! We ordered everything that our waitress recommended to us. The tomato salad was a star- the dressing on it was flavorful and delicious! We ordered a baguette to dip in the dressing per our waitresses recommendation. The steak au poivre was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. It was very tender. The French fries were great dipped in the sauce (I thought the fries were too salty, but my friends really enjoyed them so just personal preference). The chicken was juicy and the sauce and potatoes it came with were delicious. We also loved the dauphine potatoes with the chive aioli. We felt like the desserts were the best part- the chocolate mousse (available every week) reminded us of the texture of mousse in Paris which is so hard to find! The rice pudding was the special of the week (they do a special each week) and we loved it! The restaurant is super cute (a little tight with some 2 seater tables in the middle of the walking space) Overall highly recommend!

I went to Electric Blue on a Sunday night and it was pretty darn busy. The restaurant is nice and they serve French/American cuisine. I had the beef cheek (which was tasty ) and my son had the combination with the duck in it. Everything was tasty, but I thought the portion was fairly small on the beef cheek for the price. Our server was nice, but he double charged us for something , it was a mistake. They don't print out the full bill with all the itemization to hand you at the table. They just handed it to you on a computerized tablet. So it's very hard to see any discrepancies. It took a while to clear it up and will have to look at our credit card bill to make sure everything turned ok Make sure you check your final bill!

Sooooooooo yummy! The flavors are perfectly balanced here. The chef is talented. Salad dressing was perfect, sauce on the roasted chicken was perfect, everything was perfect, this place is amazing. Yummy beer. Thank you Electric Bleu!

    What is the patio like?

it's a strip of sidewalk along the restaurant on the side street, so you're not on Palms. You are not right up against the other diners like at Beethoven Market.

Is there a list of what the four course dinner is ahead of time?

The four course menu isn’t published ahead of time. It’s created daily, guided by what looks best at the market and what the kitchen feels inspired to cook that evening.…

How's the noise level on a Saturday night? We don't find loud restaurants romantic. Thanks.

The service was absolutely on pointe thanks to Kaiya, Teri, and Randy. Warm, polished, attentive, and just the right amount of fun. Hubs and I split everything, which was the right move because this meal was rich, delicious, and very filling. We started with the baguette bread service, which is an additional charge but 100% worth it. The bread, salted butter, and mixed berry spread were pure France in a basket. Next up was the French onion soup, and wow. Cheesy, full of flavor, with a beautiful broth that somehow managed to be rich without being too salty. Perfection. Then came the Big Mec burger, as seen on Food Network's top burgers -- and yes, it absolutely lives up to the hype. Definitely enough for two. Perfectly seasoned patties, melty cheese, a fresh brioche bun, and that bordelaise sauce bath underneath? Flavor-forward, decadent, and unforgettable. We rounded out the meal with a slice of French toast because apparently we make excellent life choices. Also delicious, also worth sharing. This was not just lunch -- it was an experience. Will I go back? Absolument! Next up: dinner.

Got seated on the patio on a beautiful day, so we were perfectly happy. After a quick glance at the menu, our recommendations from our server, we decided to order. We started with the escargot, as one does at a French restaurant, and the French onion soup. The escargot cube bathed in butter, garlic and parsley and were very tasty. I mean, how can they not be when bathed in garlic and butter? The French onion soup was also delicious with ample gruyere cheese overflowing. Pure indulgence! For entrees, we all tried something different. The steak frites were.... steak frites. If you've tried one, you've tried most, so not very memorable. The duck confit was cooked well and not overly fatty, which was nice. The omelette, let me say, is beautiful to look at. You almost don't want to touch it because it is very picrure-esque, and absolutely cooked perfectly. A, dare I say, perfect omelette. Finally was the Big Mec. Now, there are a lot of good burgers in Los Angeles, but the Big Mec is one of the greats. So much flavor with the double wagyu patties, cheese, special sauce all while sitting in a Bordelaise sauce. It isn't something you would eat every day, as it is heavy, but it is phenomenal when you do. I'd say one of the top five burgers in Los Angeles, in my humble opinion. Overall, delicious French restaurant in Hollywood, a little above Hancock Park, serving delicious food. Get the escargot and French onion soup to start, and definitely get the omelette and the Big Mec, you will not be disappointed.

Like people said it was romantic and I was like sure, I guess in the pictures it kind of does. In person though??? Wow. Absolutely wow. I was in awe. I wish I could sit there every day. The lights and ambiance are truly insane. I have never experienced anything like it. Let me backtrack too and say that I paid $14 for valet which tbh is not too bad considering I didn't have to worry about my car or anything so it was worth it. Okay the food. We got Parker rolls and the Mezze plate for the table. Wow, the Parker rolls were as you would expect. Buttery goodness. French butter as you know...top tier. Okay the Mezze plate? Every single sauce was so good. The little cous cous thing in the Mezze plate was so cute and yummy. Then the main dishes. Seven vegetable couscous was great. As a Moroccan, I can say it was a great vegetarian version of the dish. Has the staple veggies you look for in a cous cous. My friend got the vegan cauliflower steak and that was so beautiful and tasted delicious. It was a great dish for my vegan friend. Our waiter was so nice and really personable as well. From start to finish, he was there for us when we needed him and we really enjoyed our dining experience because of him. I forgot his name but he's a star. I have already recommended this place to others because it really was so incredible. I am so happy I got to come here.

She chose this place for the Instagram worthy atmosphere you see online, but I would say it falls a little short of how picturesque it is. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice garden setup up, but we were expecting a more romantic and whimsical layout. We also noticed that the dress code is very loosely enforced as there were numerous people there with T shirts on. We got there for our reservation about 15 minutes early and was seated quite fast. The hostesses at the front were quite friendly and the wait staff were attentive and mostly nice. One of our servers seemed a little curt at one point, but it wasn't too bad. Once you are seated they ask about your drink order, and offered wines, sparkling water, and literally said "tap water". Pretty surprised that they said tap water, but we went with a glass of wine and sparkling water. The menu is short and it's easy to make your decision. We went with the 24oz Prime Ribeye Steak, Pappardelle pasta, Kingfish Crudo, and the Portuguese Piri Piri Shrimp. The ribeye was served with scalloped potatoes and green beans that were delicious. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare, tender, and served in a very balanced sauce. The Piri Piri Shrimp was also great. Large pieces in a slightly spicy cream sauce; I would describe it as almost a Cajun flavor. These were my favorites of the dishes we ordered on this night. The Kingfish Crudo was a nice choice. I believe it was yellowtail served with small pieces of cherry tomatoes and peach chunks. The sauce was nice and refreshing with a little sweetness. The Pappardelle Pasta was ok, and probably my least favorite dish of the night. It wasn't bad, but wasn't on par with the rest of our meal. The thick pasta noodles were al dente, and the sauce was nice and creamy with pieces of green beans. It got better once we mixed the poached egg into the sauce, but still didn't get it to the point where we would order it again. Since it was my fiancé's birthday, she wanted to get one of their desserts served as a small birthday. She saw pictures of their passion fruit coconut cheesecake on Instagram and wanted that, but they changed it where the passion fruit was at the bottom of the cake. I thought it was decent, but not a great dessert. I thought the staff would at least sing happy birthday like other restaurants, but that didn't happen here. Overall, The Little Door is a small romantic stop to have a date night. I don't know if I would consider it a place to celebrate a special occasion though. I think we would come back, but not for anything big. Also, I would recommend using the valet, it's right in front and they only charge $14 pre tip.

Went for the dine in LA deal and was super worth it!! Tucked in an alley of DTLA, this place…read moretransports you to a cozy French living room. You can really tell that the food and ingredients are super high quality! As for what we ordered: - Escargots (5/5), no notes - super flavorful and tasty standard escargots done right! - French onion soup (5/5): the cheese was nicely melted and the soup was rich. Classic choice, can't go wrong! - Duck confit (5/5): never had this before but oh man it was so good! The duck skin was light and crispy, not oily at all and the duck was juicy. The flavors shined throughout and the purées complimented the duck really nicely. Super balanced dish - Beef Bourguignon (4/5): I wanted to love this more but I think the wine sauce was too overpowering. The beef was fork tender and cooked really nicely but I just thought the sauce was too strong. Everything else was nice! - pistachio crème brulee (5/5): I was so surprised but this was so good!! Never had these flavors before but it was the perfect blend of light and airiness with a hint of pistachio! Service was standard, they give table bread which was good and fresh! Parking is tough since it's in DTLA but it was easy on a Sunday night!

You'll need to venture a little deeper into the plaza to find it, but it's well worth the effort. They were offering a pre-fix menu during our visit, which was a great way to sample a variety of dishes. The standout items for us were the ENDIVE SALAD, BURGUNDY SNAILS, 48-HOUR DUCK LEG CONFIT, and the MOULES MARINIERES. Service was a bit slow, but the food was good. ENJOY! PS: Super weird, you have to leave the restaurant and go to a security guard in the middle of the plaza to let you in to use the restroom. Parking can be really difficult. There's no lot, but I was able to get a meter spot.

Let's talk about the food: -Wine and cheese flight- 3 Small Pours Paired with 3 Bites of Cheese (Bright Whites). This was absolutely lovely. The cheese and wine pairings were perfection. This was served with crackers and a baguette. My favorite cheese was the brie, it was super creamy. -Poulpe Aux Pistou- Octopus with white beans, and pesto. I do not recommend this item. The beans were a little undercooked and the octopus was chewy. I should've returned it. -Nicoise Salad- My friend had this salad and said this was one of the best ones she's ever had. The assortment of ingredients was perfect. Service was friendly but our server was running around with a large section. Our wines did not come out until after the food was delivered, and the appetizers were not coursed. I don't blame her for the lack of service as she was doing her best. The buss boys were really nice and helpful and we were able to ask for help as needed.

The owners added to the warmth of the space genuinely welcoming, the kind of presence that makes a place feel personal rather than polished-for show. The sea bass was the standout: perfectly crisped skin, buttery and delicate underneath, resting over earthy lentils that soaked up every bit of flavor. Paired with a smooth Malbec, it all came together effortlessly. But honestly, the best part of the night wasn't just the food or the wine. it was the company. The soft candlelight, a shared table, and her next to me made everything taste better. A spot that feels intimate without trying too hard. Definitely coming back.
