Amazing. I always feel like I'm coming back to a beautiful hotel after each cleaning. After having a baby I decided to get a cleaning service. In my research I narrowed down to a few and selected Regina's Maids, since they were the only one offering to fold laundry. At the time most companies were not folding laundry due to Covid. Having a newborn, there is a lot of laundry and little time to fold. This was a must for me. I have been receiving the services for about 6 months (twice a month) and have never experienced any poor cleaning as noted in negative comments. I still don't know how they get the inside of my fridge and oven to look brand new. They give you a time range and always arrive within the range. I have had weeks when both employees only speak Spanish but it's never been an issue. If I plan to be out of the house and have a request I'll write a brief note via Google translate just Incase and all is fine. The company always calls with reminders and has allowed me to reschedule last minute. read more

My experience with Regina's maids was not good! I had to stop the cleaning (if that was considering cleaning) to send the crew back. It was my first time using the company and the last. I won't be using your services anymore because the work is really terrible. 2 hours, $186 for nothing! Horrible experience! 30 minutes to clean a microwave that I don't even use! Spent one hour in a room that was only dusty and need moping. Spent most of the time talking and arguing between them in a language other than English so I can't tell if they were talking about cleaning or not. I checked the places they supposedly cleaned, and it was full of dust and dirty. Honestly, I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but this one I have too. Such a waste of money!! read more

We booked a move-out cleaning for our 2BR, 2BA apartment in Hoboken. Scheduling was fairly easy; the date we wanted was available and we were required to provide a credit card number for the reservation. The cleaning itself was just okay. The two ladies and their supervisor arrived at the tail end of the window I was given, and were very nice. I explained that we only wanted the kitchen, bathrooms, and floor cleaned. I provided gratuity in advance, but had to go to work, so the actual cleaning took place in my absence. We were charged nearly $300, for four hours of cleaning. I'm still puzzled how it took two people four full hours to clean 3 rooms of an apartment that had no furniture in it. The quality of the cleaning was fine, not dazzling. Although I didn't dispute the credit card charge, I did address this when I received a follow up call. I get the sense that at point, they had my money, and didn't seem to care either way when I indicated that I was unlikely to use their services in the future. I'm never satisfied with this service. I always feel like things could have been done better. On average, I think they deserve a 2.5 for the quality that I've received for the numerous times I've used their service, but since that option is not there, I'll give them a 3star to be fair. The service ranges from Good (3.5) to absolutely Terrible (1). I really feel like many of the workers aren't properly trained and don't know how to properly clean nor do they know what supplies should be used to clean. That's just a few among many frustrations. I've been so patient with this company because management does attend to my concerns when I bring them up. However, the fact that I have an issue every other cleaning is bothersome and unacceptable. I really wish I had the time to do things on my own because paying for a service and then having to redo or re-clean what I just paid for, makes no sense. They didn't give us an exact time until 30 minutes before they showed up. Fine, we were all at home. 2. Neither of them speak English!! Only Spanish. How do I expect them to understand my requirements? I had to call their supervisor every time to ask simple questions like how long will it take? Can they clean the windows? 3. They really did a lousy job. E.g., they cleaned the floor but missing a lot of corners. All the faucets are still dirty! They even left some white paste like stuff on the tube! Incredible! I was satisfied with their cleaning job. However, they took 3 hours to clean an apartment with 3 bedrooms (2 rooms are very small) and 2 baths. On top of that, the company charged me for 3.5 hours (total was $244, the highest I have ever paid for a cleaning service for an apartment). When I called to tell Tara that I was over charged, she claimed that service crew has GPS trackers with which they calculate the hours of work. I told her that they were done in 3 hours and waited 20 mins outside my house to get picked up by a car. She said she should confirm with the service crew and contact me back. This was a month ago, and have still not heard back. I feel the cleaning is not great for the price you pay, but additionally the place lacks integrity and trust for the clients and the crew. read more

Wow did they save the day. I called last minute and they were so kind and accommodating. I couldn't believe how nice they were upon arrival it was like they were friends. But the cleaning job. Better than I could have expected. I've gone through 4 other maid services and stopped because of either not doing a good job or rudeness. I can finally stop looking because reginas maids is the one! Not only did they come early and stay late, they treated me with just kindness and respect. I had a few small special requests and they accommodated me. Their response time is great! I had some marks left by a vacuum on my bedroom rug (it is a white fur rugs). I knew if I tried to get them out myself, I would make it worse. Their carpet technician, Juan, went over and beyond. Seriously, that rug looked better than brand new. It was amazing. I was actually shocked at how good it looked. He was very knowledgeable and professional and thorough. I have been getting cleanings from Regina's Maids regularly for over 5 years. I have come to expect a certain level of quality from each one of my cleanings, because they are so thorough and efficient. I always appreciate the attention to detail. I used Regina Maids about three or four years ago and I thought they were fabulous. This time, not so much. First of all, they threw away my Intuition Razor (these cost at least $10). They did not clean up the build up of orange mildew in my bathroom (the last cleaning service I had was able to clean this without my asking) and I explained in advance SPECIFICALLY that I wanted this done. My trash can was emptied but streaked on the outside with garbage. There is a mysterious stain on my backsplash that was not there before. I feel bad because these women clearly work very hard. They do not speak English and all my instructions are given through the front office and translated. I made sure to tip them in cash so the cleaners receive the tip money themselves but I am not happy with the service/management and will probably will not use them again unless there are no other options. Update (a few hours later after I called to complain about my service): I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars because the owner called me back right away and offered me a credit and was very understanding. This increases my likelihood of giving them another shot since I was very happy with my first cleaning. We've used Regina's Maids for the past year and a half or so and they are friendly, consistent and reasonably priced. Their customer service person is very responsive and they have been flexible with us when we needed to change appointment times on short notice. I would have liked a "deeper clean" from a monthly service - and while their cleaners were always very lovely and kind people, there was a language barrier that it made it difficult to communicate my specific wants and needs to them in person. First and last time using this service, I ordered their services for move out cleaning for an empty 2 bedroom 1 bathroom, 730 square foot apartment and quoted for $75 an hour. They were available and I was required to provide the card for the reservation. The movers came the day before to move everything. When they came I had approximately 3 bags of stuff in the empty living room, which i was moving out when they came. I swept all the rooms prior their arrival, besides the 3 bags of stuff, there was nothing. I cleaned out the cabinets before hand as well. Two (2) cleaning ladies came for the cleaning, I stayed for about an hour and left to go to the other apartment. While I was there, the apartment was entirely cleaned except the empty kitchen. I came back a little after two (2) hours and they were gone. The clean was okay, nothing great. I think looked at my credit card statement for an over $300 bill. They claimed it was because it took over four (4) hours to clean my empty apartment, even though I came back after two (2) hours and they were gone. Also, how does it take 2 people over 4 hours to clean an empty small 2 bedroom. I have had other cleaning services in Jersey City and it would never take that long with even one person. I talked to the owner, Donna, who then claimed that these women were her best cleaners and would never lie. She claimed that the cleaners stated that my apartment was completely full of stuff and it was a dirty disaster (insulting and not the case ). I then informed her that I have my moving receipt from the day before to prove that is obviously not the case. Donna then claimed she had to do more investigating to refund me the additional money over the $150 for approximately 2 hours (yeah, right). She started accusing me of lying and how her cleaning staff and driver would NEVER do such a thing. I come to Yelp and discovered she did the same thing to other people including someone on December 20. This company scams people! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm currently disputing the credit charge and will report this company to the Better Business Bureau. read more

These cleaners and the office people/customer support/billing department are shitty. I hired them for a move in cleaning. I was told that it was an average of 5 hours. Two women showed up, spoke very little english, but seemed to know what they were doing. They started at 9am. I had to leave at around 1pm, and they had finished almost everything except for the kitchen floors, counters and the living rooms floors. They said they would be done by 2pm - which was what I was told when I first made the appointment. Whatever they did after I left, did not include any cleaning. The floors were just as dirty as when I left, they area under the dishwasher and the stove were very dirty. The worst part was, they charged me for 7 hours of cleaning, i.e from 9am - 4pm, when I was told that they would leave at 2pm. I called to ask the office what exactly they did for the extra hours that they were at home for - between 2pm - 4pm, all they said that there was a lot of cleaning to do, and that they needed that time. She could not give me an exact break down of the tasks. And when I told them that the place was just as bad as when I left, they said that the cleaners might not have been able to do everything. The woman on the phone was rude, very loud, did not listen to what I had to say, kept insisting that if they charged me for 7 hours, they must have been right, and that if I had a problem, they would send the women back for 45 mins to clean the problem areas. That did not work for me because 45mins is NOT equal to 2hrs that I was charged for. On top of that, she could not tell me what the cleaners were doing in my house after 2pm when they were not authorised to be in there. Or, what tasks they accomplished between 2pm - 4pm, to prove that they were actually cleaning! They are shitty. Call them only if you can supervise them. DON'T call them if you are not going to be around to supervise them, they do not do a good job at all. DON'T give them your credit card info, they will charge you ridiculous amounts that even they can not account for. They are not sincere, and the women in the billing department are not reasonable or sincere either. read more

I've seen Regina's Maids vans around the area for years and years, but never needed home cleaning. After being in my awesome waterfront apt for over a year now I decided it was time to get a professional cleaning. Why I didn't go with the place I'd always seen thru the years in the area is beyond me, but I went with the recommendation of my building community and I was more than disappointed (you can find out who that was and the bad review on my profile). So after that fiasco I decided to go with who I should've initially went with, Regina's Maids. And I wasn't let down. They did an amazing job. And the whole process of making the appt and services to be done was all simple and they stuck to their times and promises. I came home early from work and they were still going! There were 2 workers going and they had smiles on their faces the whole time. Any area that I thought they missed they happily took care of it and did it great. And they made the oven, fridge and freezer look newer than it did when we first moved in! They were so professional they did the carpet shampoo on a separate day and they even got red paint my daughter had gotten in her bedroom carpet out and made the entire apt look amazing. A little on the pricey side but for the service you get it's worth it, and I did receive $20 off for the first-time cleaning which I found in their website. We recently got our house cleaned for the first time. The only things I REALLY wanted clean was my 1 bathroom, stairs vacuumed and floors swept/mopped. Anything else would've been a bonus since we only signed up for 2 hours instead of the suggested 3 hours. The ladies were very nice and asked me if everything was okay when I can back home from grocery shopping with my infant, from a glance everything seemed clean. Later on we noticed the tub and the tiles in the bathroom were still dirty and the floors could've been cleaner. The job overall was OKAY but if we had the time ourselves we could've done a better job. We did call back about the bathroom and the ladies returned and cleaned it to our standards. We may use their service again, but I think we are going to shop around and compare standards of cleaning for now. For cleaning our house for the first time we were expecting our bathroom to look like new (recently redone like 2 yrs ago so it had the potential!) since this would've been a good opportunity to gain a regular customer. On a good note, the resistant ring around our toilet was gone! We tried what we thought was everything to get it out, we think it is due to hard water and never got it out even after letting it sit in bleach for hours. I've been using Regina's Maids for a few months now and I have to say they are hands down the best cleaning service I've ever used. They typically send over a team of two people to clean our place and they almost always leave the place spotless. I say almost because I had one instance where we were not satisfied with how the apartment was cleaned. When that happened, I called to express my concern and the owner promptly called me back to discuss the matter with me. He understood our concern and was quick to provide a solution to make us happy -- which he did because on their return, our place was left spic and span! So, this one time of not having a clean place turned into another positive for them because without this happening, I would have never known how customer-oriented this company is. In addition a consistent high level of performance cleaning our place and exceptional customer service, I value Regina's for a couple of other reasons. They always call a day or two my cleaning to confirm that I need them. They are punctual and everyone who has cleaned our place so far has been hard working, polite and extremely careful with our belongings. The last time they cleaned our place I left them in my home unattended without any issue. I recently moved from Hoboken to Downtown Jersey City and the place I moved into was left a dirty mess from previous tenants. The landlord couldn't get someone to come with such short notice and neither could my regular cleaners so I found Reginas from a friend who had used them before and was somewhat satisfied. I have to admit I was a little reticent considering the reviews on here. I spoke with Donna and told her I was concerned about the negative reviews. She told me that she just bought the company and it is under new ownership/management. Fair enough I gave them a shot. They sent 2 girls to clean my 1 bed 900 square foot apartment. I didn't meet them because I was at work when they came, but they did an awesome job of cleaning what was a filthy apartment. I ordered the "deep cleanse" and it was worth it. All the crevices clean, all the dust gone, hardwood polished, tops of fans done. I was definitely satisfied with the service and the price. Since they did such a good job, the next day I had them go over to the condo in Hoboken and clean that out completely so the realtor could show it to potential buyers. I requested the same girls and they did another great job. I can't speak for the negative reviews on this company but I can say that my experience with using Reginas twice has been professional, efficient, and pleasant. I had used Regina's Maids a several year back on a regular basis and remembered them to be professional, although as time went on, they spent less and less time cleaning my home. Now, I use a maid service once or twice a year when I don't have the time or energy to do it myself. Based on past experience I hired them again. My husband & I were both home working at our desks while the two maids were cleaning. Everything seemed to be going as planned. The house was clean. The maids were picked up. An hour or two later that day, I prepared to go out. I discovered one of them STOLE MY ENGAGEMENT RING! While I was working in the other room, she had the nerve to go through my dresser and steal my engagement ring. She tucked the empty box behind other clothes in that drawer. There were some odd miscellaneous things missing from the kitchen too. At first, the manager said he would get to the bottom of it. Later his attitude was @$#$ you. When I called the police to report it, twice, both officers had the same reply when I said a maid service stole my engagement ring,"Regina's Maids." My first experience with Regina Maids was very very good! It was a move out from a sublet so there were a lot of belongings to work around, and the apartment had not had a thorough cleaning for some time, and my wife and I left a considerable mess on top of everything else. I was prepared for a stressful, exhausting day - what I got was a true blessing! Starting with arranging for my appointment, I found communications extremely efficient, gracious and professional. The 2 staffers who did the work were highly professional, hardworking, experienced and on top of that very lovely. The hierarchy of management set up at Regina is perfect - management works very closely with supervisors who transport the staffers to work locations and follow up with unanticipated supply needs and support the work in a highly intelligent, responsive way. The fee for this first time visit was, my wife and I thought, quite reasonable given the intensity of the cleaning necessary - but the staffers worked with such efficiency, care and true skill that the rates became irrelevant - we got much more than we paid for!! My thanks to Jose for guiding the process, Janeth for watching over the work very diligently, the two young women who worked so hard and quickly, and with lovely smiles - no extra charge! My thanks also to Donna and Joseph for showing such dedication to their service by following up with me in genuine efforts to stay on top of the quality of their business. I live in a condo apartment near Lincoln Park in. Jersey City. I have engaged Regina Maids on occasion for over a decade now. They never disappoint. They are punctual, pitch right in and cover all requested tasks and then some. I'm always amazed at the dirt, dust and grime they unearth from every square inch of the dwelling far beyond my ability to uncover -- and I'm not a bad cleaner myself. As far as the kitchen goes, in a brief whirlwind, I have an immaculate stove top, oven, microwave and toaster and a floor that shines. And they are always kind to the dog or dogs of the house. Highly disappointed! Never Showed! When I booked the cleaning, I was provided with a 2 hour window for their arrival. Over 2 hours and it took me to call them to find out what was going on. Joseph, he stated he was one of the owners, gets on the phone and is extremely rude and full of excuses. He asks to reschedule. After reminding him that it took me to call to find out what was going on, I declined. He was very nasty on the phone, talking over me, and quick to have an argument rather than resolve the issue that his company caused. He needs customer service 101. Would not recommend this service! You will be stuck waiting around for them, or come home to an uncleaned home and a bunch of excuses. There are other cleaners in the area that have more professionalism. July 14, 2015 Update: I have never been contacted and asked to update/change my review from any other business. I have been called so many times, and contacted via Yelp message (didn't even know that existed) by this business. Yelp is to inform others of my experience. It is ridiculous and absurd that I have been called so many times to change my review! If I could further decrease my rating, I would. As Joseph said, "I've spent so much money on Yelp". I read another review that also mentioned the business asking them to write in Yelp. This is what you may encounter if you choose this business. Chose wisely. Heed the advice you'll find all over the internet and Do Not Use Regina's Maids! When I first moved to the area I used them because it was easy and I was too lazy to ask for recommendations from people I knew - big mistake. They came to my home weekly for 8 months, always at a different time - they give you a window of a few hours but regularly they arrived after that window had closed and I had to call them to find out when they would arrive - they always send different cleaners so I did not want them to have a copy of my keys, which brings me to my next point... Because they always send different cleaners, the quality of the cleaning varies widely, and they don't get to know your preferences. Supposedly you can call the office to ask for specific things to be done, but in my experience it never was communicated to the cleaners cleaning my home. But I finally had it with them when one day they left behind several deep scratches ranging from 4 to 6 feet, on my hardwood floors which had been refinished 3 months prior. I'm a pretty reasonable person, so I called the office to let them know. I was told they would send a manager and a floor repair person to take a look, and that it would be taken care of... (you'll note that they love to advertise that they are insured).... Not two but four - 4 - men showed up at my home - the owner, a manager, and two supposed floor men. The owner was loud, obnoxious, intimidating and essentially accused me of lying about his cleaners leaving the scratches. If he was going to repair it, he was not going to go through his insurance company is what he said, and he said a lot during that visit, continuing on even as my baby cried. You can imagine the scene. The floor guys said that my floors needed to be completely redone. I should sue them but I just can't deal with a lawsuit or having to move out of my home while my floors are redone. So the scratches are still there. Don't use Regina's Maids. They get the job done and they're affordable (they do charge the first cleaning per hour - but after the first cleaning, if you enroll in a subscription, they have affordable prices). Do NOT I repeat DO NOT use these people. They don't prioritize the job. They are slow. They are late. They rip you off. They don't finish the job. They go into your belongings that they have no business going into. Really? Unfortunately yes! They are expensive. When they 'cleaned' my place they unplugged a server they had no reason to unplug and corrupted it which took hours to fix. They tell you your apartment will be cleaned in a certain amount of time when you book the appointment and then when it isn't done in that time frame they tell you you need to pay more money to have it finished. Having your home professionally cleaned should be a stress-reducing exercise. If that's what you want then don't hire Regina's Maids to clean your home. read more

As other reviews stated, the first cleaning is nice (albeit overcharged) and then it is all downhill from there. I was willing to put up with it until I caught them charging me for time that they were not there. Without being too repetitive to Shirley G's review, I will just add the differences. I have a one bedroom which takes about 2 hours to clean. On two occasions, I returned to my apartment (after letting them in, in the first place) to find that the cleaning ladies had left after 45 mins of cleaning yet Regina maids still charged me for 2 hours. Each time when I called the office to complain they will either change their pricing structure or claim that the cleaning ladies were at my place longer than I claim. After the second time catching them in their scam I finally had to move on. Do yourself a favor and use another service. There will always be disputes between customers and cleaning staff about what was cleaned, or how good of a job they did. But, when a company is dishonest and scams their customers out of money it becomes a criminal act that should not be tolerate. read more

Really poor service and WAY overpriced. Double the price you pay through Handy or any local cleaner. You get non-English speakers who do not follow instructions. When we asked them several times to clean the sheets in the washer/dryer, which they agreed to, only to then not do it and claim that they "never do laundry". We would never have used them had they not agreed to that in the first place. Stay away, there are too many other perfectly normal cleaners for a lot less money. read more

Please be advised that their regular cleaning ($55/hr; 2 hr minimum) does not include windows cleaning (cleaning the windows from the inside with Windex). They do not change bed covers unless you tell them, they do not clean the inside of the window bottom where the dust settles. These are some pathetic, unprofessional people who suck on innocent immigrant workers and charge uninformed customers out of their hard earned money. I usually pay about 80 + 20 tip for maids to clean the same apartment; I ended up paying $147 for this crappy service. I used Regina's Maids for the first time in April 2015 and was very satisfied with the end result. They sent 2 maids who both worked very hard for the entire time they were here. The stove/oven/microwave/refrigerator were all spotless by the time they left and my apartment felt new once again. read more
