Best Nihari and Qeema in town - The taste is authentic and truly reminds me back home.

This was my first visit to this place. Simply put this place is ok to subpar range. Went there on Sunday at 10:30 AM to try their traditional Halwa Puri breakfast. They are located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Restaurant is small with a fast food style feel to it. We ordered two Halwa Puri with two Chai. Had to wait a few minutes to find a table. After getting seated I felt claustrophobic with the extremely tight seating arrangement. Waited about 45 minutes for the order. Bit on the pricey side i.e. $13 for Hawla Puri that normally sells for $8 at other places. Once our order number was called I picked up the food with around 10 people gathered around the front desk. Felt like a mini chaos to pickup the food. Food itself was ok. I would rate just the food 3 out of 5, compared to the overall experience of 2 out of 5. Halwa Puri was served like a platter with various items in the plate. Presentation was good. Potato salan was really good, perfect balance of spice and flavor, Chana salan (chickpeas) were bit undercooked but the flavor was ok, Halwa was very watery and diluted and lacked the texture but the flavor was decent. This was served with yogurt and pickles and three Puris. Generally speaking at other places Puris are very oily but theirs was just right. They were out of other breakfast items in the morning such as Unda (Egg) Pratha (Bread). They had a small section of traditional sweets in the display case. My goal was to try them but I got overwhelmed by the rush and mini chaos in there and opted to leave after finishing the breakfast. Overall this place has a potential to be an excellent South Asian breakfast restaurant but at the moment they lack the customer service, organization and lack of staffing. I could tell the staff felt overwhelmed and stressed there. If you are not looking to drive to Devon Ave for good Halwa Puri and are ok with rush and extended wait time you can try this place. Based on my experience I will try other places first before going back there.

I wanted to try this place out for a long time, but didn't have time to go. The place is in a corner of a shopping plaza next to Burlington Coat Factory. I decided to try the Chicken Tikka Pizza, Papri Chaat and some mix mithai, all to go. Wow I was impressed by all of them. There isn't many desi shops that are good. No need to go to Devon to get snacks and mithai. This place lives up to some Devon restaurants . The price and quantity is great. The taste of their food is great too. Will go again, I hope they don't lose their charm. *Update- the past few time been there they have been out of stock. They raised their prices. And now lousy service. This place has declined pretty quick as it was hope in the beginning. Only good is mithai over there. Don't plan to buy the other stuff. Service 1/5 Ambiance 4/5 Food 3/5

Finally an Authentic Halwa Puri Place!! They also had amazing other dishes for breakfast and their sweet meats (Mithaii) was excellent. Made me think of home... The Choley reminded me of eating breakfast in Lahore... Wah Wah!

The space is inviting and comfortable, easy to settle into. Service was exceptionally friendly. We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely conversation with Sara, the owner, which added a personal and heartfelt touch to the evening. Our party of four included a vegetarian and someone with gluten-free needs, and both were accommodated effortlessly. Always a sign of a thoughtful kitchen. We started with Aloo Paneer Tikki and Papdi Chaat, both excellent. The tikki was crisp and satisfying, and the chaat had that perfect mix of textures and tangy brightness. For mains, we shared Chicken Vindaloo, shrimp curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutter Aloo, and vegetable fried rice, all accompanied by warm, soft, slightly crisp butter naan. Everything was beautifully presented, well prepared, and balanced in spice without overwhelming the palate. And then... the cocktails. My friend and I ventured into margarita territory, one spicy and one with ginger, both crafted so well that we immediately ordered a second round. No regrets. If I had one small wish, it would be for music that leans more into the cultural experience. A sitar in the background or even Bollywood scenes on the screens would add an extra layer of immersion. That said, the American music playing was tasteful and unobtrusive. If you're in the suburbs and craving good Indian food with warm hospitality, this is your place. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered a chicken curry, chicken biryani, and lamb Rogan Josh. Chicken curry tasted great, chicken biryani had good flavor except it tasted sweet which we did not like, and lamb rogan josh was a solid 4/5 (better than most). We ordered couple garlic naan and a cheese naan. Only issue I have is that complimentary rice should come with curries. This was not the case, but almost every Indian restaurant does this with the exception of a few. Good ambiance, nice wall decor. I'd order again.

So, naturally we grabbed an Uber and made our way there. Sadly, we did not scope the website and when we showed up, they were closed for dine-in and only available for pick up and/or delivery. Not wanting to be defeated or change plans too much, we placed a quick online order and our Uber driver was chill enough to hang out with us. We waited around 15 - 20 minutes from time of order, and gave them a ring, letting them know our situation too. They were super kind and friendly and made sure to push things through fairly quickly. We ended taking the food back to hotel where we enjoyed at a table in the lobby. For starters, we scooped up a few varieties of naan, including garlic and chilli. For meals we went biryani and curry respectively. I went with the chicken biryani and my peer the lamb curry. The naan was phenomenal and the mains were delightful as well. The food was fresh and definitely authentic. I wish we could have enjoyed on site, but I feel we still got a good representation of what they offer! Overall, solid Indian spot that I definitely recommend when the craving hits!

There was no way I was going to be able to find a way through. I was on the phone with support when I dipped into a gully so deep that the water splashed over my moon roof. The chatbot spoke again, "I understand that you are having difficulties with a drop-off. Please describe your situation so that I can get you to the right department?" Just then, the customer cancelled. Whew! I had spent over half an hour in the extreme weather just trying to access their street. Either way one of my fav dishes in general - daal makhani - 4/5, tasted good but normally not a fan Most of the above came with the chefs dinner special, I forgot what it was called - but it cost $28 for 1 person and it was a good spread! Fed two people more like it. Nice decor and ambiance, I would recommend you eat here!

When I had a question, two of the employees just looked at me and the third came over. It can't be a language barrier since they're in Lombard. The second instance was when the employee asked if we could write a review, he kind of awkwardly stood by us, waiting for us to do it. I recommend just dropping off the QR code and let us review it privately. You'll have better ratings. Unfortunately, I'll have to take off a point for those two instances. For the food we ordered half chicken with sweet potato fries, far far, and mini platter. Mini platter came with half chicken, 3 wings, and peri mogo fries. I wished they had more combo meals like Nando's like chicken wings combo, half chicken combo, etc. Besides the mini platter combo, the sides can really add up if you didn't want the mini platter. The chicken itself was juicy and tender. The sweet potato fries were just okay. The peri mogo fries were mediocre. The far far reminded me of a saltier version of shrimp chips, it's good to take home and snack on it. Portion sizes were not super small like what some people said. Portions were sufficient if you have a side with your chicken. Prices were okay but could be better if they added more affordable combo meals for the average person. I have to take a point off for the fries and lack of combo meals. Overall, it's a 3 for me.
