Had a great service experience from Reliable Energy today. Our service technician, Mike, showed up on time and was very professional. He explained the routine maintenance he was going to provide and the cost. He recommended a few upgrades we may want to improve our AC and heating system but did not pressure us to buy. He also detected a leak around a roof duct and he was able to repair for a small addition fee. Mike was a great, knowledgeable and polite technician. We will use this service in the future. Had an simple fix for an AC heat pump installed 4 years ago. Called multiple HVAC companies and they gave me quotes over the phone and or said it would be a difficult repair. I thought was odd because the manufacture said most like it is an easy fix with a loose fan. Had Mike come out and he was friendly and knowledgeable and indeed it was an easy fix like the customer service rep said from the manufacture. Very reasonable priced especially since he drove all the way from Paramount. Will be using them again for any HVAC needs in the future. read more

He arrived at our home on time and conducted an excellent assessment. However, what truly stood out was his thoughtfulness and professionalism. Fail to contact customers back and no communication I was told someone would come to and they did not I was then transferred to about five different people who were unwilling to help to get scheduled given a number and then hung up on twice, when the phone rings they answer in a very low tone which makes them sound very shady and being transferred several times! 0 stars Will be complaining to social gas company They were called to do evaluation for energy saving recommendations. They ended up turning off our heater in order to send a tech out for review. Our heater never had any issues prior to them coming. We are in the middle of winter with this weekend lows of 40 with elderly people in the house. I called them multiple times and spoke to the furnace department supervisor Oscar he was rude, trying to brush off on it being a government program and I should have expected that prior to signing up. Instead of addressing my concerns and trying to help he was saying this is what we have to do and you have to wait. Very ruse uneducated guy who ended up hanging the phone on me and canceling my appointment next week for the technician to come out. This is illegal and legal action will be taken. DON'T LET THEM WORK ON YOUR HOME. Had a worker named Francisco install a new water heater and he messed up our water lines. If we turned on our hose in our yard we got NO water inside the house, it was like it was completely shut off. Called to have someone come fix this & management was arguing with us saying our lines were already broken yet we have never had any issues until they stepped foot on our property. They sent 2 other workers who fixed that issue BUT NOW everytime we turn on for hot water, no water come out at all. Called again & was going back & forth with management again. Oh my you won't find a better company to help you. My experienc started with Cynthia in the office . What a wonderfully helpful compassionate person. I have serious medical restrictions and she was so amazing to make sure the whole team work with my restrictions. When they showed up during this Pandemic, they were all geared up, kept their proper distance and their manner and care inside my home was PERFECT. Then came th work...really efficient! The next day a raging storm came and I thought the water leak was due to their cutting into my roof. They came out the very next day. AND it wasn't!!!! They found the problem and went the extra mile to reseal the broken seal from a DIFFERENT work done. THEY didn't have to do that. BUT again Andre and his team were JUST SO WONDERFUL!!!! I had service done with this company through the energy saving program through Edison they came out and installed the air conditioner unit. There wasn't anything wrong with my unit I just wanted to update the unit. However within 2 weeks their air conditioner that they installed was messing up not working. I gave two stars because besides no air the manager Guadalupe did call back so far she's been nice and sent the tech guys back to my home. When the tech guys came they flushed the system and were acting as if nothing was wrong I explained to them that it's not the unit it's the pipe and adapter they installed in the garage he then told me don't worry about that he doesn't know why the manufacturer made it. Umm the adapter is a key part in letting you know if it's about to flood or malfunction. Air came on few days later same thing happens no air coming out vents and yellow light is on adapter called again they come out this time I ask them to change adapter and explained what it was doing. he wanted to disconnect it I ask him why would he do that he then told me it's a lot of complaints about that adapter. But at the same time telling me that it's true about the adapter letting you know. I told him no I just want it changed not disconnected and hopefully it will work. air started working well now a couple days later same issue but this time it's dripping water and solid yellow light on and no air. I left a message now waiting on the company to call me back this time I need a tech that knows and wants to do job this will have to be redone pipe, evaporator, and adapter. Hopefully this can be done correctly it's over 100 degrees. I will give an update on issue read more

So our A/C and Heating unit was installed in December 2022. This is with in the warranty time period. The air conditioner was not functioning properly. It was blowing hot air. I called Reliable Energy on Saturday and left a message. They didn't call me back so I called Monday morning at around 10 AM to find out if they were going to honor the warranty and send a technician out to diagnose the problem. I was happy to learn that a person would be coming by between 12 and 4 on Monday to troubleshoot the system. The person arrived and looked at the system. He told me he was an installer not a technician, and that I would have to hear back from the office. He wasn't able to fix the problem. I later called the office in the afternoon since no one returned my message. I was told it might take a day or two for a technician arrive. Days later a technician arrived and explained the thermostat wire used was 4 wire not 5 wire and that was the problem. He rewired the unit and told me the A/C was working. Before he left I let it run a few minutes and the A/C never produced cold air. This is after I tipped him. I told him the issue and he spent another hour or two troubleshooting the unit. He then told me the A/C required a new part for the blower. He ordered the part but it took two weeks for it to come in and finally install it. This all occurred during some of the hottest days of July. Luckily I had one bedroom that had a window unit air conditioner in it. I had to sequester myself in that room during this period of time. I think the company could have done a better job of providing service during a very hot spell of weather. The part they needed probably could have been expressed delivered but who knows. read more

He had his mask on the entire time and made sure we were comfortable. He fixed our water heater, installed a new water regulator, and installed new smoke detectors. I am so disturbed by the performance of this company . First they came out and fixed one part but wrote on the bill that other parts were needed, but they did not have with them. The heater worked for 1 day then reverted to original not working condition. I called to see if they had ordered the part..they had not. They told me to order part, my response..i had no idea what part to order..they told me they would get back to me. I waited for 2 days and then called the manufacturer and told them the parts that Reliable energy had written on the bill that were required. I didn't have part numbers, but they looked them up and i ordered them fed x so the heater could be up and running. I called over 15 times for the Reliable Energy to come back. They NEVER returned my calls. One time the girl answered and told me i was not in the system and I had no account. I told her i had a receipt from their company. She then informed me it could be their retail division. I called and left messages with manager, with retail division with wholesale division, with another girl who answered phone but alas...no returned calls. Finally, as it was freezing temperatures and it looked like after 4 weeks that no one could be bothered to call back, I had a handyman look at the heater. OMG, here I got the surprise of my life..when they told me the parts I ordered for $75 and fex x charges of $14.97 were no needed as it was only a loose wire. DO NOT BOTHER USING THESE PEOPLE...THEY ARE A WASTE OF TIME ...I AM SO SO DISAPPOINTED BY HOW THEY BEHAVED. read more

I was visited by Jose D. Castillo Feb 15, 2018, in my home and he made a paper application for attic installation. I've not heard from anybody since and so I've been calling, getting the run around, with promise that the application would be searched for and I would be called back, which no one ever does. I've made phone calls on 4/5, 4/17, 4/18, 4/23, 4/24, and today, 4/30. I've been told, by Jose, who seems to be the only one that wants my application to be processed ass he says he turned it in and has been paid for it, even though he's promised 5 times to call the office and then call me back, which he did today. The status apparently is that my information is not in the computer, explanation, Joe turned in a "paper" application. Was told K.C. is the manager who can track it down but she also has never kept a promise to call me back either. Jose says now that Judy Garcia, has my paperwork but was out all last week. Ron and Judy Garcia are the owners of this contracting company. There are others too, that you can go through it you're not getting anywhere with this company, REMCo. A quick internet search for Energy Savings Assistance Program socalgas will give a link to another company with a toll free number to call or to apply online. They close at 3:30pm Mon-Fri, so call early. It's now been over 10 weeks, and to date, nobody other than Jose can acknowledge or confirm that I have an application, not even there company cab acknowledge that they have any information about me. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I will update this review pending any action taken by the company. Spoke to K.C. today, I called her, she said they can't find my application, was going to send Jose out again today to get a new app and expedite the processing. A half hour later they called me back, said they found my application, approved it and scheduled a contractor for next Monday. Apologized for not getting back to me. Upgraded to 3 stars for now, as they should've been more proactive all this time after this issue was brought to their attention, but I understand since Judy was out last week, but the issue was brought to their attention April 5th, so if the contractor does good work, I'll edit to 4 stars, I can't give 5 under the circumstances though. May 7, 2018, updated to 1 star because I went through a lot just to find out that the only thing they can do for me is to give me 2 sink faucet aerators and a shower head. I need insulation, but because it's a program paid by the gas company, the gas company is going to inspect and since I have knob and tube electrical in the Attic attached to the roof beams, they can do insulation. There house is 1941. Plus, they can't even give me weather stripping for my doors because I have a tankless water heater that has a lot of btu's, because they say if there's a gas leak, then salon the exterior doors will trap the gas. This is the gas company policy however, as ridiculous and illogical as the reasoning is, there's nothing you can do to get an exception. But, my main need was insulation, and while a private company will install insulation at my full expense and no gas company inspection, I can't afford it. read more

They came to my house as part of the weatherization assistance program. They said they would also change the furnace and windows as part of the program (only reason I agreed). Those were all lies just to get me to agree to have them put some weathering strips on my doors which now make my house even hotter in the summer. These guys are full of lies and when I call there office about my furnace, they can never give me a straight answer. Stay away from them. read more

Cesar from Reliable Energy came to our home yesterday and he was excellent. First of all, he wore a mask and made sure we were comfortable with his presence. He was super knowledgeable. Just a brief and uninformed description by me and he was able to diagnose the problem simply by looking at the heater and hearing me describe what was happening. He brought out some tools and confirmed his assessment. He truly is a gifted technician. He also did carbon monoxide testing to make sure our house was safe and to identify what more serious issues could be happening with my heater. He took time to explain everything to me as he did his work. And even more important than him being knowledgeable and dedicated was how nice a guy Cesar is. You could tell that he cared about fixing our problem because he cared about my family and our home. And that was after meeting just 15 minutes before. I can't recommend this company enough. I'm on the CARE program thru SCE, I guess SCE has-sub-contracted with Reliable for their in home energy upgrades. Saul came to my house last week to install my energy upgrades. He installed a new door threshold in my kitchen, he left my floor with a bulge at the door. He adhered my wall heater to the wall ( without my permission) with 2 metal bands. Put them on crooked and half-assed and damaged my stucco. He put a latch on my waterheater (again, without my permission) put it up with drywall and 2 nails, it looks so darn unprofessional. I would NEVER hire this company, they are totally incompetent !!! read more

This company installed an air conditioning unit and a heating unit in my home in 2018. Although the people were friendly I found out later that the work performed by them did not pass city inspection. I also found out later after I had a different contractor conduct work on my home that the work they performed on my air lack some of the ducts that we're supposed to be installed st the time of instillation. When I reached out to them to find out why the ducts had been completed they told me they were not told to do. How can you do a half job and not complete they installation. The customer has not knowledge of how this is to be installed because it is not their expertise. If I had not been getting new pipes in my bathrooms from a different contractor I would not have ever known that the job was not completed. This company was told by the city inspector to complete some other tasks which to date they have not done. We got assistance through the gas company, obviously there is a waiting period before your application gets approved. These guys were sent out to assess the work on our property and to qualify us, the staff was courteous, respectful and attentive to our concerns. The office staff is horrible. Amanda Estrada in particular has no clue. She provided wrong information to the gas company after she told me everything was ok. She neveeer returns calls and now she's got the girl who answers the phone just placing me on hold and hanging up. I really would like to get this straightened out with whoever is in charge, but I can not get past the receptionist answering the phone. Horrible customer service. Not only did they show up a little early (which I love), Jorge was polite, considerate, extremely knowledgeable, skilled and taught me things I did not know.
