Beware, we had a very poor experience with this company. We hired them from our realtor's recommendation and I sure wish I'd read all the one-star yelp reviews first. They came to our place twice, once to give the estimate and once to perform work. They had to reschedule twice at the last minute, and twice they were late. Family emergency, flat tires, you name it. There was one mishap they caused and spent additional time fixing, they were at our place almost the whole day. Coincidentally some of our electrical went out, not sure if that's related but wouldn't be surprised. Had to hire an electrician to fix it. They disinfected the area, and weeks later we can still smell the strong chemical smell in our home. We decided to have a different company re-install the insulation, and were surprised and happy to get a much lower quote. read more

So I already felt like this company was unreliable for missing the appointment. Telling me the estimate was done makes me think this company is dishonest or disorganized. James came out and inspected our attic. He found droppings and nests, yuck! We scheduled Reliable to come out and remove the old blown in insulation, close up any and all entry points and re-insulate the attic. The guys began the work and were very professional, polite and they thoroughly cleaned up after the work was done for the day. They disinfected the entire attic and set traps. They will monitor any activity for a week before replacing our insulation with brand new batting insulation. I would definitely recommend them for any of your gritter removal needs. read more

It seems this company is gone out of business, they are not picking phone call. Myneighbor and I signed contract with James in Jan, 2018 for 2 years, he visited once and put a wire mesh in few areas on the roof to block rodents getting into attic thru the roof. I am trying to reach out to the to scheduled a follow up apt but they are not picking up my calls. These guys were great. We moved into a new home and didn't realize how nasty the attic was until the smell of new paint wore off and it started to get hot outside. There was a strong odor coming from the attic and I called Reliable Rodent Solutions. They were able to come to my home the next day and do a detailed inspection. They found several entry points to our attic and showed me some undeniable evidence of rodents going in and out of our attic. They sent someone out the following day to seal all the entry points and set traps. Then about a week later they came out and removed all of the insulation in our attic, it took 9 hours! This is a tough job, its way hotter in the attic and they are cleaning out some pretty nasty stuff. The guys had a great attitude all day and gave me some tips about rodents for the future. The work Reliable Rodent Solutions did wasn't cheap but I know the work needed to be done and I know that they did a great job. Its been about a year since the work was completed and we haven't had an issue with rodents or odors since. Thank You! read more

At first I thought these guys were great. Came out inspected the place and sealed up a lot of entry points from within the crawl space. However we still have activity after multiple call backs, each time finding new spots were the rats are getting in. Very frustrating to say the least, complete waste of time and money. read more

Reliable Rodent Solutions is absolutely wonderful, and I have nothing bad to say about them. Lesson 101 in new house ownership: to do something right, sometimes it's a little bit more expensive upfront. But not in the long run. We got a new house, and a few months in discovered we had a skunk living in our crawlspace. We had out Reliable Rodent Solutions to give us an estimate ($605), and being new to the field, were a bit daunted by the price. I thought, naive and bold "I could do this!" I tried. I failed. 5 months later and skunk still happily there, we found Detailed Pest Control, who said they could do it for $350. Great, says I, that's like half the price. I'll save the longer story for my review of that other company. But $350 turned into $450 almost immediately, and he demanded payment up front before he'd done any work.. And did shoddy job, and didn't have a warranty (and laughed at my request for one), and didn't write down what he was promising to do, and then didn't do all of it. Because the other company's work was so bad, I ended up having out Reliable Rodent come out again. They were exactly the opposite of the other guy: professional, courteous, and thorough. Their estimate included details of all the work they would do. They trenched fully 12 feet of our house with cement (instead of patching a couple skunk-sized holes), waited until the work was done before wanting payment, were detailed and clear about what work they would do at what cost, and with a coupon the final bill was $495. I also have a year warranty, so if skunks get in again, I'm covered. They even patched a couple of spots a rat could've squeeze through, and rats are covered in their warranty too. All in all, Reliable Rodent was technically $45 more than the other guy, but Reliable Rodent Solutions did more than 4 times the work. Probably closer to 10 times the work. Don't do what I did. Go with them from the first. You won't regret it. read more

Kris and the others on his team at Reliable Rodent Solutions are absolutely top notch. They thoroughly cleared our attic of any evidence of rat activity (including numerous deceased rats--we had never had this work done since moving into the house years ago), shored up all possible entry points, set traps and checked periodically (fortunately the traps were empty on inspection--I was not only pleased at their thoroughness but also glad no rats ended up encountering the traps), and replaced the insulation. And throughout all their visits to our house, they were completely professional, efficient, and friendly. They even would call us if they were just running a few minutes late. I have been having a rat problem in the wall and garage so went to Yelp as my usual resource. Kris came out as promised between 1 and 2 pm and provided a free inspection both exterior and interior. I had plugged up as many entry points as I possibly could and did the right thing BUT because I live in a townhouse, the problem was entry points from one of three connecting units and not my unit. So it is unfortunate that we could not get to the root problem. Kris was kind enough to spend time discussing with me and a neighbor about rats, openings, and a variety of other critters. He is very knowledgeable and I would refer him to anyone who needs assistance with rodents, racoons, whatever critters are invading your home! read more

Unfortunately we will always have these buggers around since there is a creek behind our house and lots of overgrown ivy. UNRELIABLE. Obviously they don't care about return business, nor do they care about new business, from the sound of some of these reviews. I tried MULTIPLE times to get them to call me back as a RETURN customer and the female whose voicemail I always get called back ONCE to the wrong callback number, therefore I could not answer the call. No callback since trying a few more times. They must be going out of business, I'm assuming. If they're not, they should be, poor customer service kills a business in time. They didn't do a very good job on my new insulation anyway back in 2014, but I let that go. I don't know why I wanted to give them return business and MONEY this go-round with a new rat problem. First, I spoke with an employee, Mike who was very professional. I explained my problem with the field mice we have in the area and he arranged an appointment time. Unreliable Rodent Solutions. It has been a terrible experience working with this company. After five months and numerous visits to the house (all initiated by me) we still have rat activity. Despite email and phone conversations about the work needing to be done prior to each visit, any workers that showed up were unaware and had to be told what to do. Most of the time they didn't have proper materials or time to complete the work they were there to do. Here's a quick example of what is has been like to work with this company - After one visit to pour a concrete barrier in the crawl space (only partially completed because the worker didn't have enough material to finish the job), he stated that he didn't think they are getting in along the edges of the house. After he left, I walk outside to check the work and see an obvious opening from the outside in. ????? Another call from me, another week, and someone came out to fill this hole and pour the remaining concrete. They didn't have enough materials, either, so yet another appointment was needed. And on and on it went... oh, and did I mention, we still don't have a solution? read more

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Reliable Rodent conducted the rodent inspection on my home that I purchased this summer. The report (which I have in hand) was done by Daniel and stated the property had no access points. About a 2 months later, we closed escrow and moved in. 3am of our first night there, my family was woken by what sounded like an army of rats running around in the ceiling. Turns out, there were several nests in the attic AND in the crawl space below the floor. I called Reliable Rodent and they agreed to "rat-proof" and place traps. Long story short, I still have a full blown infestation. My insolation is destroyed in both the attic and crawl space. I've caught 3 rats since the original inspection. I will give RR credit for trying to close all the access points. They came 3 more times to our home. They found several access points all over the place and apologized for the bad inspection. But, that's little consolation. If they had done a decent job in the first place, I could have negotiated with the seller. The house needs about $5,000 worth of clean-up (yes, there are full blown nests all over in the ceiling, crawl space, walls, garage, etc). How freakin' disgusting. I don't know if this is true, but they told me that Daniel has since been terminated. Again, little consolation. James, on the other hand, was knowledgable and helpful. read more

Awful experience. Started out great, before they got our $500. One year guarantee to get rid of pests... Not so much. After they took our money they stopped showing up for appointments and then just stopped returning our phone calls all together, leaving us to have to find ways to rid of our rodent problems on our own. They came out on short notice near the holidays when other firms were quoting weeks away. They did a great job diagnosing rats under our house, trapping and rodent proofing. The nasty buggers had burrowed under our foundation which required RRS to mix concrete to prevent them from entering where they were entering. They were respectful, thorough and came back once to check and remove trapped rats and another time to make sure the problem was eradicated. Recommended! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They needed to reschedule once, but were very courteous about it. James came out, did the inspection, noticed some possible ways the critters (we thought squirrels) were getting in, and gave us a quote. They came out again a few days later, patched up the open eaves, reclosed and secured a roof vent, and set a trap. That night I heard another "party" going on in my attic, so called them first thing in the morning. They weren't able to come that day, but came out a few days later (actually sooner than our next scheduled "trap - check" appointment). Went up to check the trap, and SURPRISE! A giant RAT. Not a squirrel...a RAT. The rat corpse was removed, and new trap was set. They came out 4 days later, no new disturbances, and an empty trap. This was about a week ago. No more "rodent parties" since. This company was recommended to me from a friend, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else. We've been using their services since 2014; live in a somewhat rural settings with orchards nearby = many critters! They've been great in coming back and doing rechecks and/or setting new traps as needed. Just had their newer employee James (not the owner James) come out and do a super job of rechecking and sealing more areas on tile roof. We had rats in the crawl space and in the attic. I checked in the crawl space and saw 8 places where rats could get in, but I didn't want to fix them myself since the crawl space was tight and difficult to maneuver in. So I called Reliable Rodent. They were at the appointment 10 minutes late, but had called ahead to notify me of the traffic. James did an external inspection and saw an additional 5 places where rats could get in, including 2 where they certainly were getting in (on close inspection with a bright light, you could see the grease marks from their fur as they squeezed in). So if I'd done the job myself, the rats would still be getting in. On the next appointment, also punctual, the fixes were made. I did an inspection afterwards and noticed one place where, although the vent was covered, rats could potentially do an end run around it (it's complicated). I called Reliable, and someone was over to fix it, again on time. This was about four months ago. No sight or sound of rats since then! I thought the price ($625) was a bit steep, but they got the job done, and I have a 1-year warranty. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

These are the most professional, thorough, knowledgeable, kind and - indeed - reliable technicians I've ever hired for this job. They do what they say they will do. They completely cleaned out and disinfected crawl spaces under the house and roof, identified all the places rodents had burrowed in around the foundation and roof top, filled and blocked the holes, returned countless times to check traps and/or bait and to confirm that the problem was resolved, and did all of this for a really reasonable price. Wanted this to work. Most reviews are very positive. However the "From the Business" info on yelp advertises free inspections but the office manager said that they would charge me a non-negotiable $125 inspection fee despite seeing the "free inspection" offer on Yelp. I'm just uncomfortable paying an inspection fee that applies to the work when the business won't quote me a range on the phone and refuses to honor a published offer. Hopefully they correct this problem soon. read more

Be aware of this company..not reliable at all! I spent about $5000 for attic clean out and replacement of insulation. The house was suppose to be rodent proofed. Two years later, my attic is heavily reinfested with several access areas that were clearly not rodent proofed. I have contacted the company several times to see what the options are and James has not returned any of my phone calls. I am using another company and spending more money to take care of the job that Reliable Rodent Solutions should have done 2 years ago. What a waste of $5000!
