Wow! This was delicious! During my trip to Miami, we stopped by rendezvous for dinner. When we arrived we were greeted and seated fast. The restaurant was pretty crowded on a Saturday evening so we decided to sit outside on the deck that overlooks the ocean. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the blackened mahi mahi sandwich and it came with a side of fries. What! That was the best fish I ever tasted!! It was flavorful and juicy. So yummy! My friend ordered Mahi Mahi tacos and he also though his food was good. Overall rendezvous is a seafood restaurant that offers quality food and beeyutiful views! However, the place was packed outside AND inside - so we knew the wait would be worthwhile. Our server was really great and he was helped by the other staff bringing out the foods and drink. the drinks were perfectly made - I had the mojito without alcohol and it was yummy! they had a great beer & wine selection with a lot of craft style cocktails. We started with the calamari and fried clam strips and they were both 5 stars. perfectly breaded and fried. my dad really enjoyed his french onion soup too. I came here with 2 gf's from out of town. The menu was paper and kept on getting flown around the outside area, along with the napkins and that was bothering me as some ended up in the water. Service was a-ok...we felt a little rushed to order. When we did order, my gf and her daughter wanted to share a dinner with an add-on steak and the server said they could not share per owner's rules. That kind of annoyed all of us. Nowhere on the menu did it say that. Just felt like a made up rule. I had the coconut fish and that was delish. Would I go back? nah...nothing exceptional about this place and it was overpriced. I brought my mom sister and niece here for a bite before going to the airport it's very close about 10 minutes to the airport which is good. It's a small cozy restaurant overlooking a marina with some boats it's really pretty minus the iguanas. The food and ambience was very calm and quiet I definitely recommend this place for either a date night or a lunch date or just hanging out with some friends. The food is pretty good a little on the salty side but other than that it was cooked to perfection. I had the Seabass with mushroom risotto and asparagus. It was cooked to perfection however it was a tiny bit salty but it was still good. Pricing or average tiny on the pricey side not too too bad but definitely recommend this please check it out if you're looking for something cozy quiet secluded. Last thing is the parking I really like that they had a private parking lot and there were no Valley which is good so that this way you can park your car yourself and not have to worry about anyone driving it. Ambiance, location, and food were all incredible. This was our last stop before jumping onto a plane back home from a trip to Miami, and I am so glad we stopped. I love seafood so I tend to be a little picky, but my salmon was incredible. Super flaky and melted in my mouth. We also got clam strips for the table, and those were great as well. A friend got the mahi mahi tacos and said they were some of the best fish tacos she has had (I kind of wanted to change my order because of how great they looked if Im being honest). The asparagus on my dish wasn't my favorite, but they were still pretty good. Hostess wasn't the kindest, but our waitress and server were lovely. I love the view at Rendezvous, sitting dockside and enjoying breakfast is the perfect start for the week. The sound of the water, the view of the yachts and the overall feel is relaxing. Then our enthusiastic server stopped by our table. Amelia! It made us smile as she knows what we like and she always treats us as if we are the only ones on the dock. It is special when she welcomes us. Although Amelia is our favorite the service is always excellent. Matt the manager is teaching that attention to details is key. The menu is fun and themed around yachts. I had the crabby breakfast which is eggs, crab cakes, home fries and toast. Yum. Stopped here before our flight back home. Unfortunately they didn't serve lunch until 11:30am Sat. We ordered breakfast. I had the ? Breakfast that came with eggs, sausage,bacon and strawberry pancakes. Really large portion and delicious. Wife had the avocado toast (which was their first day they said to serve it). Wife thought it was very good as well. Our server was really sweet and attentive. The back patio had nice views of the boat docks. Give this place a try if you are in the area and want a place close to Fort Lauderdale airport. read more

First time at Rendezvous really enjoyed the whole experience, food was delicious and service on point (a very pregnant Alexis..very nice, due in May..lolol). We had Mojitos, Margaritas, Calamari (2, they were so good), Short Rib Pasta (YUMMY!!), Thai Curry Seafood, Short Rib Quesadilla, Special Salmon Salad (All of these were on the Special Lunch menu). You can't go with any of the above plates, ample portions and all very tasty. Price was reasonable, came out to $60 p/p including drinks, taxes, and tip. They have free onsite parking, we had no problems, but can see it fill up on popular days and times. What a great place, good service, good food, beautiful views of the marinara with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I started out with a cup of new England clam chowder, smooth and flavorful. Next was calamari, not overly breaded, nice taste and very, very tender. For lunch I had shrimp jumbalia over yellow rice with a side of vegetables, fresh green. The green beans were so fresh, seasoned with a little bit of butter was so good, I think I enjoyed them more the the jumbalia. The jumbalia was no slouch either! Wow, was it good! It just had incredible flavor! I didn't ask, but the only thing that would have made this dish even better, would have been if I had asked for it served with pasta instead of rice. Next time I'm there! My friend had the blackened dolphin filet with garlic bread and rosemary potatoes. He really enjoyed it. This place was recommended by our hotel. It did not disappoint. Our apps = bacon wrapped scallops, cocktail shrimp and conch soup. Meal = blackened salmon and king crab and shrimp linguine. Scallops cooked perfectly and they gift you garlic bread with chunks of real roasted garlic, sooo yummy. Cocktail shrimp was a nice size, cold and done well. Conch soup not bad. The salmon was the best salmon I've had at a restaurant, nicely pink and seasoned well. The pasta dish my husband loved. Good sauce and nice mix of seafood. Was looking for a good steak as this had pretty good ratings for their steak. Wasn't impressed. There was no sear on the steak, sure it was marked with criss crosses but if you're going to cook a steak you need to seat it to keep the juices and flavor, plus it becomes chewy and not as palatable as one would expect. Also came out too rare so I sent it back, but when it came back I just had it packed to go. I left it for the cleaning lady at the hotel. read more

Very happy that I went to Rendezvous Bar & Grill during my 6 hour layover in Ft Lauderdale. I've never been to Florida before but coming back from Cancun I had some hours to kill and wanted a nice, chill, dinner before making my way back to SF Bay Area. My server was Mike who was super attentive, helpful, and had lots of great enthusiasm for the menu to give me recommendations. Definitely get things from the specials menu. The oysters were delicious, fresh, and I didn't even use more than just lemon juice. I was split between the Chilean Sea Bass or the stuffed lobsters. Ultimately, I probably was more in the mood for fish but went with lobsters since right now (Oct '22), was apparently lobster season. Cocktails are a little weak, but that could potentially be because I'm used to strong cocktails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Either way, they still were really tasty. And if weather permits, get patio seating. It began drizzling but was very pleasant. Very happy with Mike's service. Very happy with the food. Stopped in here yesterday for a drink and a snack with the husband. Sat at the bar, ordered a wine, a beer and the seafood dip.. wow YUM. I've not had anything like this dip before and it was fabulous. It was served with a huge bowl of chips (I think sprinkled with paprika?) Anyway; it was nice to watch TV and just hang out for awhile. Service was good as well- seems to be a popular spot for the local yacht owners. We will visit again when we're in the area. read more

Despite the "pandemic" Rendezvous has continued to be a great place to dine and enjoy a some time with friends and family. I gave been here no less than 20 times in the past several years and every time I have had great service and good food. The soups are fresh made every day. There is a nice selection of seafood as well. I love the coconut shrimp but the Mahi is delicious as well. Full bar and a good beer and wine selection. In addition, my parents are both with walkers. Its not so easy for them but the staff was so accomodating. There is even a handicapped entrance to the patio so we could enjoy the ambiance. It's off the beaten trail but a gem if you can find it.
