Our family has been going to Renee's forever. We love this place! I always order a sandwich and side salad for breakfast (yes I know I'm weird) and it doesn't matter what sandwich I get, it's always a great portion size and delicious. One of the only places I chance a tuna melt. But the side salad! Ohhhh....it's almost the size of a main dish salad in other places and has everything on it. Even garbanzo beans and beets (which I usually pass on but these are great). Their blue cheese dressing is wonderful. Truly love this place! read more

It took 15 minutes after we asked for water to start with to get our order. When we ordered my party asked for coffee. The waitress asked would you like cream with that? Yes please. 30 minutes after the 15 minute wait to order we finally had our order. Just 2 people in our party and they definitely weren't as busy as when Cindy owned Renee's WE WANT THE OLD MENU BACK, not the "new" menu which is virtually the same as Star's Restaurant in Ukiah. Since the owner of that establishment is the new owner of Renee's. WE DONT WANT MACK AND CHEESE BITES AND JALAPENO POPPERS AS A SPECIAL also we want the Meatloaf back, fried chicken, hamburger steak, and ribs. Along with the option of salad for lunch or dinner, not coleslaw and the option of baked potato and soup or salad for a side for dinner. We dont want premade Sysco Foods. The hot beef sandwich didnt cover all the bread like a hot beef sandwich is supposed to. Also the giant burger on the dutch crunch roll didnt even make it close to the ends of the dutch crunch roll. Late post ..but we're still talking about how great the burgers are! With a party of 10 we all tried a different burger and all were great ! Cute decor, prime location near the lake and plenty of outdoor space. Our waitress was attentive, prompt and very down to earth . A clean dining area with comfortable seating and spacious booths. Friendly and attentive servers, food came in is ordered in a timely manner. A good presentation with fresh ingredients and tasty. Purely a milkshake review because I remembered the day Renee's Cafe saved my life. I'm being dramatic. But really though, I thought I was going to die the weekend I was in the area. I had come to this small town to go camping and to save the details, it was a camping trip from hell. Mixed in with the scorching heat, I snuck away from our camp, saw this cafe down the street, and decided to turn in. The people here working are so incredibly nice that our simple milkshake transaction turned into a lovely conversation with the friendly workers and just an overall pleasant experience that I wish we had stayed to eat too. We had ordered some lemonade as well and it came out with our neapolitan milkshake and one sip in, we were in heaven. Maybe it was the bad weekend we were having, maybe it was the extreme heat, or maybe that milkshake was just freaking liquid gold. I don't know, but I remember I was one happy camper for the time being that I had that milkshake. read more

My parents stumbled on this place when they were out in clearlake. My family and I enjoy this place because we love diner atmosphere and the staff does help with the things of you wanna remove something. Mostly on weekends it becomes more busy than the weekdays. Id love to give 5 stars but unfortunately those 2 things are the only things they do well here. I've heard about this place on Facebook and word of mouth. Good things. I finally found myself in Kelseyville and got a chance to check it out after living in lake county for 10 years! It's a sit down and wait type of old school feel restaurant like most good eats around the lake. Other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves. I don't remember my waitresses name but she was very kind and sweet. Now for the food, FRESH AND HOT. Food was fabulous. Will be back and glad I got a chance to try it out. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I felt like I did not belong there. They asked me to sit outside and I did while waiting for someone to come ask for drink or put in order. Wait 10 mins and noticed 2 families that came in after me were already putting their order in so I try to flag someone down. Asked for water with no ice and 5 mins later I received my water with ice. Then waited for someone to take my order, nobody would come around even though making eye contact from distant. Got up and left. Can't believe I waited almost 25 mins. read more
