My house is brown so it was a nice relief to have color options other than white or tan. We are very disappointed with the service we have received from Andersen windows. We are very satisfied with the product & the two different crews that did the installation but again the service has been bad. First al of the doors we're supposed to be installed the same day but for some reason the two sliding doors were on a delay. Then they come with the front door & it was too big for the opening ( that their expert measured measured). So they had to send it back. When they got the new front door & the guys came to install it, after getting it in they had no handles for it. The one installer went back to the shop but could not find them, called the warehouse, no handles. So he went to the nearest Home Depot & got us temporary handles. This was the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I am still waiting for my Handles that come with the doors from Andersen. I don't think they are taking this dissatisfaction serious ly. They send people out to do the finishing work without making arrangements first. They have had two different people come out to fill in the grout around the stone face the door trim is up against. The first guy missed a few places & the second guy used caulk instead of grout. No calls from the service department before these guys showed up & none since. originally I was going to go with them to get my 10 windows in my house done & my 2 other doors but it would take a lot to convince me to use them for it I give them 2 stars because the product is good but a big fat donut to their service department because they don't seem to commicate with their customers and their worker read more

We contracted with Anderson for replacement of a window and sliding glass door. An installation date was set. One business day before the installation we got a call about 2PM leaving no voice mail. I returned the call only to be informed that our installation was delayed by 26 days. No reason was given. On the day of installation the installers were right on time. They did a quick measurement check and found the new door was over 4 inches short in height. This after being told that Anderson measured to the 16th of an inch. After several phone calls we declined to have another door made because it would be at least 3 months due to the holidays. I only gave one star because the installers were so nice and we got our money refunded in full. The company certainly doesn't do what their ads and sales pitch say. read more

This company doesn't even deserve a One star that I'm forced to place on there in order to post it. My experience with Renewal by Anderson wasn't a pleasant one... At first both my husband and I were very impressed with what their salesperson had presented to us. The quality and workmanship of their product had impressed and assured us that we had made the right decision. The salesperson had advised us that our slider that we were replacing would have to be customized since the standard one wouldn't fit, and the price would be more which is what had happened. The measurement was scheduled and done as promised. The measurement was done earlier than scheduled and he did it so hurriedly. I didn't feel that he had taken his time and from what I can see of the finished product he was wrong with the measurements. He didn't share his findings with me on whether what the salesman had told us was right that we'd need more than a standard slider. I was advised by the measurer that he would be submitting the results of the measurement to the office on Monday since the office was closed on Saturdays and that someone would be calling me by the end of that week to give me my installation date which wasn't had happened. After 2 weeks...I decided to reach the office to get this date. It was 8 weeks later when my nightmare with Renewal by Anderson continued.... It wasn't until after my existing slider was removed that I found that this new Slider was 3 inches too short. It was too late for me to stop or refuse the installation because I was left with a big whole in my house as a result of this removal. I had addressed my concern of this matter with the installer and he had assured me that the spray in insulation would harden and fill in the gap. This still left an item of concern with me since because of the climate in which I live in and the high winds that my house experiences that this slider won't be secure. I also witnessed that the screws that they were installing at the top of this slider didn't have anything secure to bolt on because of this 3-inch gap that the error in measurement had caused which therefore meant it would tighten. I was also advised that the Slider that was given was their standard size not the one we were promised or paid for. I'm not blaming the installers for this nightmare but rather the salesperson and measurer that thinks this matter is ok and should be acceptable. It wasn't the 2 gentlemen that installed the Slider they did their best with what they were given. I had discussed with my mother her experience with Renewal by Anderson that she received earlier that same week with her slider. She had advised me that her Slider had fit perfectly and there were no issues. I found that she had a different measurer than mine which really has me troubled that we got someone who didn't get our measurements right. I do have the name of this measurer which I'm withholding from posting right now but will advise if asked. Both my husband and I were both looking forward to seeing what ours would look like just after witnessing what you had done with hers. I'm so disappointed and feel that we've been ripped off by them. I guess if we had paid to have more things replaced, we would have been treated differently and the results would have been better. Why does Renewal by Anderson think this is acceptable and that customers should really have to live with this????? read more

Professional from the beginning. Company representative Alex Klorman did a fantastic job presenting his company's product to my wife and I. We were immediately sold on the quality of the doors and windows. We followed through and purchased one door and six windows. Home transformation was immediate after installation. More importantly, dust and noise reduction are undoubtedly the two most important improvements noted after installation. Reading some reviews, people are complaining about the price. I personally think the prices are reasonable and the experience from start to finish has been a pleasant one. We would definitely recommend this company if your doors and windows are old and in need of repair. read more

He was very knowledgable about the product and was able to help me select the door that met my needs the best. After explaining what we wanted to do with the replacement windows, we were told that we didn't want vinyl frames and we didn't want the style of window that we requested as it isn't in style for the area. Instead, they ignored our wishes entirely and provided their style of window using their proprietary materials. Unsurprisingly, their proprietary windows cost 4-5 times as much as the local builder supply store. There will be no future orders. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with this whole experience. An apology simply will not cover this type of negligence. I honestly feel like I want you to come take your windows back and give me a full refund. I'd much rather give my business to a company that treats customers like they matter, and they're not another number. I'd much rather have tarps covering my windows until I find a better company to help me with this project. The job is only half done, I was willing to spend the other half so all the windows matched for resell value. This doesn't only effect my investment in my home it effects my wallet now. I can't believe that no one called to follow up on my complaint and no one is trying to keep my business. I was retail management for ten years. I treated my customers better when they'd only buy a pack of gum. This whole situation could have been avoided if only you people did your job properly. Instead you think you can get away leaving glass behind each time you entered my home, and using my bathroom as if it were public. This is unacceptable on all accounts. This job should have been completed in an afternoon. Almost three mobths later I'm dealing with a job that still is not complete. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I hope customers read my review and think twice about what they're getting themselves mixed up in. Way to take advantage of the fact that I can not return your product and I'm stuck cleaning up after your installation. Well I set up an appointment for a free estimate . I got a call a few hours later confirming, & they mentioned my wife's name & asked who she was & I said it was my wife & why are you asking as its none of their business. (Well they obviously pulled up ownership record of my house which is public ) They asked if she will be home at the time the salesman comes. I said maybe but what's the difference. Well they said it takes both signatures to sign an agreement . She would have been home but I said maybe maybe not. They did not want to keep the appointment unless she was present, & I said if that's the case, cancel the appointment . I am in sales & own many business's. This company must really think people are stupid to try to come in my home & try to use high pressure sales tactics to get people to sign a contract without leaving . I will change all 40 windows in my house , but it will not be Andersen. It makes me angry how insulting this is to people's intelligence. They are the first company I called for a FREE ESTIMATE . I will get a couple of estimates & do my due diligence . It always amazes how people run their business . Oh well someone is going to get a nice order from me. I called RBA after doing a certain amount of research online.They had excellent reviews and are a member of Angies List. I made an appointment for a consultation and Cherie their salesperson got there. She was here punctually and talked about the technology of replacement windows thoroughly. At the outset I indicated to her I was interested in changing only six windows but would like changing all 12 windows eventually. Cherie was very competent and helpful and not pushy at all. I made up my mind to go ahead and replace all 12 windows. The day of the installation I had a crew of 4 people show up and on time and they completed the installation by 4pm and cleaned everything up and vacuumed by 6pm. Just installed 24 windows and 4 doors with Renewal by Andersen and couldn't be more pleased! So pleased, in fact, that we are completing the rest of the house with an additional 17 windows. Our salesman, Jeff, was prompt, efficient and professional and there was no pressure to buy anything. He provided several options regarding products, pricing and payment terms. The installation team (Rob, Chris, Jeramy, Dan and Tyson were on time, neat and efficient. Their workmanship is outstanding and the product is clearly Best in Class. We immediately noticed the overall sound deadening qualities and the locking mechanism on the doors. No more speeding car noises at night, no more gaps anywhere for bugs and dust and noise to enter. I read some of the other reviews here and feel compelled to comment. Having owned a small business myself, we also had a policy that all responsible parties be present at a consultation. This is done to ensure that time is used efficiently and decisions are made with everyone on board to avoid any future misunderstandings from second hand information. Regarding price, we have been down that road with many home improvement projects over the years and, it's true, you get what you pay for. Our house had original vinyl windows with builder doors and screens. All of the window seals failed over time, the doors and screens warped and gaps to the outside were everywhere. So, to the low rating critics here I say that if you want Home Depot please go to Home Depot. Been there, done that and regretted it. If you want peace of mind, the best quality product and installation and a 20 year warranty on everything, of course it will cost more. But as a finicky customer I am ecstatic about Renewal by Andersen and look forward to completing the rest of the house in a few weeks so that I can move on to other projects without worry. We replaced every window in our home and a patio door with the Andersen windows in April 2016. The products and the workmanship are fantastic and I highly recommend that anyone replacing windows or patio doors to choose Renewal by Andersen! In march 2017, i contracted with renewal by anderson to replace 2 sliding patio doors in my home. The agreed upon cost was $7,500.00. I was approved ffor financing and the company was given half the funds up front. During the same month, the job was completed. 2 days after completion found the doors inoperable. It was so bad, it caused injury to my back. Anderson came out and could not fix. 4 times they tried to fix too no avail. Finally they agreed to totally replace their defective product. By this time my back was so severe, i couldn't walk. I waited 8 weeks for the replacement and on Oct 11th they re-installed. Upon completion, the installers stated more defective parts, departed my home and to date no response from the company. Now they have submitted the paperwork for full payment. I have made payment and have been paid in full. since June i have had no use of my doorsand the doors still don't work and my back worsens. Recommend no home owner use this highly rated company. Called to have a "free" home estimate. After spending about 10 minutes getting an appointment scheduled, they asked me who else lives in my home. I told them it was not their business to know whom lived in my home. I am the decision maker and only decision maker. They transferred me to a "boss" and then they asked a few questions and said, they needed to know if I were married or anyone else owned my home. I explained that I was the only decision maker and none of their business who lived in my home. Finally I had to hang up on them. I believe they are looking to intimidate and hard sell someone, especially a female. There is no way I would tell them if I were married or had someone living with me or not.
