Total scam dealership. Do not waste your money. I bought a truck had it 2 weeks motor blew up. Was told by their service manager it needed a new engine ok cool I got the extended warranty but 2 weeks should of been paid for by the dealership but no the warranty company picked up the tab. Was supossed to be a new motor but they rebuilt it instead. Ok cool long as I have a running truck that will pass inspection and emmisons. Get truck back multiple things no longer work that did before a/c remote start and it still has a slight ticking sound. Made them aware of it was told they will fix it. They sent me to Fitzgerald since their mechanics were not good enough to figure it out. Fitzgerald gave me a list of items to be fixed. Try to get renn kirby to fix the issues. Forget it. They are absolutely zero help. Now im stuck with a truck that won't pass emmisons due to their mechanic who rebuilt the motor has a head gasket on wrong or left a bolt out the manifold. I was told that's my problem. Never again will I deal with this dealership and if your smart you won't either. I called earlier in the week to find out the cost of getting a new headlight bulb and installation. The woman in the service department quoted me the price of the labor, which was half an hour to install. She then passed me onto the parts department to get the cost of the lightbulbs. Went ahead and made an appointment. When I arrive for the appointment the half an hour quote changed to a full hour of work. She said she had no idea who would've given me such an incorrect quote and I said it was you that did it and she just looked at me. Went ahead and had the work done which took less than half an hour. Extremely disappointed and highly unsatisfied in a recent dealing with this establishment. Previously had wonderful experiences with their sales manager, Dustin Himes. He had sold me my last 3 vehicles. Everything had always went smooth & I was so happy that I trusted him for what would be my unexpected 4th vehicle. I went to the dealership on August 14th of this year to assist someone else with getting a vehicle. The sales manager, Dustin Himes, was the person we were dealing with again. I ended up being talked into trading in my 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander for a 2023 model. I won't go into great details as I am pursuing legal action against this dealership. What I will say is that the said sales manager was more concerned about trying to pursue a sexual "thing" then being the once professional salesman he once was. I left that day August 14th with a vehicle & not having signed any paperwork. The vehicle I have found out is a lease, not just in my name, and is still registered in Maryland. I live in Pennsylvania & am currently on my 2nd temporary tag that expires on November 13th. Dustin Himes has not returned text messages or voicemail left for him. The financial person, Randall Baber, has not returned emails that I sent inquiring the status if my 2 gap refund checks that are to be sent to me. The person handling the tags & registration, Heather R, has not returned numerous voicemails that I left to find out when I will be getting my tags & registration for PA. Without this, I cannot get my state inspection or the required emissions testing. Today is the 8th, my temp tags expire on the 13th. What am I to do? They're holding a misleading promotion with a mailer in which several prizes are listed, with code numbers underneath the pictures of the prizes. THIS IS NOT WHAT IT APPEARS. You scratch off a square and if it matches a prize, you win, call the number on the front of the mailer, and give the person on the other end the "confirmation code" to see if you have a winning ticket. I did, and the person on the line told me that I had a winning ticket, and to come in during their business hours to pick up the prize. The mailer led me to believe that the prize was $500, because the matching scratch-off number was listed underneath the picture of the $500 prize. However, when I got there, I won a mini Bluetooth speaker according to the "confirmation code". The person on the phone had told me I had a winning ticket, but left out that the prize was not what it appeared to be. Thankfully, I work nearby the dealership and didn't have to travel out of my way, and hadn't gotten my hopes up too high because there's always a catch to this stuff. But there was another guy there who had come all the way from Hagerstown, thinking he won this money, and walked away with this dinky Bluetooth speaker. If you got a "winning" mailer, beware. To the people at Renn Kirby who came up with this promo, this is just insulting. Really bad experience with this place. Clay was my salesman and he was not organized when we arrived, lots of standing around. The price negotiated price w/Dustin Himes and when paper work finally showed up the price was wrong, so they had to change it. The process took 2+ hours to get done. We asked if "ALL PAPERS WERE SIGNED" They said "YES" but weeks later got a bunch of papers in the mail they forgot to have us sign and we had to run around getting things notarized. They promised a second key & still hasn't delivered it. Tires for AWD car had significant issues, 2 tires matched, 2 didn't the gaps in tread depth was a concern to the AWD system. Lastly we bought this in Aug 2023 and the oil change sticker on car read Nov 2022. They ran it through an oil change then complained about me being difficult. Just overall poor experience. read more

(Big mistake on my part) It's a total rip off (I'm not even going to start how I was over priced, because they issued me back a check) And getting car service is insane. My car has not even been a year, already have issues and in order to get it diagnosed I have to pay. I ask for my warranty, they said "they can't get in their system". (Mind you I called Wednesday, because Monday I was calling but it was close "holiday") The guy on the other line said he can squeeze me Saturday and will have everything check. (I asked him multiple time before showing up Saturday) Showed up Saturday and still said he/they can't get in. He said he had asked someone take a look (this part of him saying this doesn't even make sense). I told him "is it my problem if you can't get in your system". He goes somewhere, talked to someone. Come back saying they can't diagnose on a Saturday and only weekdays because it takes to much work and I have to pay for it. Told me I have to pay upfront and that's when they can check if my warranty will cover the diagnostic or not... I have a mechanic he don't want to touch the car because, he said the car is under 1 year. It should have warranty. This is very unprofessional and very stressful to me or their customers... They'll get you back and front. your time will be waisted and in the end they will not be able to help you... Save your self the trouble and buy a car from another dealer. Took my mother's Endeavor in for regular service plus had to get a window and trunk lock fixed. Called ahead and told them I was coming from out of town and would need to wait on it, and could they make sure they had necessary parts? I didn't get a great sense of comfort on the phone, but I have to say that when I got there I was reasonably impressed. Service manager was very friendly, kept me informed of the progress, and I didn't feel like they tried to push any unnecessary services on me. Waiting room was comfortable. This dealership is a scam. They hold misleading promotions to bait and switch people to come in. The current promotion involves a scratch off that reveals the word "Winner" and a code. When you match the code to the prizes on the flyer, it says that you win $500. My husband went in to inquire about this $500, and after they collected A LOT of information from him, they stated that it really isn't a $500 winning ticket, that "this is really just a way to help people who are down on their luck" and "it's a way to give back to the community" however there really is no prize. My husband truthfully stated that we ARE down on our luck after his brain cancer diagnosis, and the dealer stated, "Oh, my mom has that, too. It's not really being down on your luck." My husband demanded that his information be returned to him. In summary, they are baiting people to come in so that they can collect your information and sell it to whomever. BAIT and SWITCH company. Looking to sell one of our cars, which was purchased for over $31,000 just 4 years ago. Car is in great shape, but has good amount of miles and guess Buick's don't hold value great because I've found trade in value under exact current conditions through Kelly Blue Book to be $6,088 - $7,450. I completed online form to sell car and was shown this dealer would purchase car in this price range. Everything was noted EXACTLY when quote was given. After wasting 2-hours with this dealer and being treated rather rudely, they had the nerve to offer only $4,000 for the car (more than $2,000 less or just 65% percent of what was offered before we brought it in). If there were undisclosed issues, I would understand, but there weren't. This is clearly a BAIT and SWITCH practice to try and prey off people desperate to sell cars and such practices are highly ILLEGAL. If this dealership conducts illegal activities in purchasing cars, imagine what other laws they are violating. My dealings with this occurred as a result of an online search for a used car to replace my aging 2004 Prius. I had been very happy with it, but at 15 years and 120,000 miles, I needed to find something newer, but not brand new and after some searching found a 2018 Prius with the features I wanted, about 32,000 miles and a one-owner lease and a clean history. It sounded ideal, so I contacted them and made arrangements to drive to their location from my home near Pittsburgh, about a three hour trip each way. I drove down in my old Prius, with plans to trade it in against the value of the new one and to finalize what would be an all cash deal....no financing. I gave the dealership an ETA for arrival on the planned date and was told the car would be ready for a road test and if I wished to proceed...a purchase. I arrived at the agency within 5 minutes of my ETA, gave them my old car to evaluate and took a road test with the new one with a very favorable reaction as to the car itself. Long story short, I completed the purchase and drove back to PA, enjoying the features in the updated model including adaptive cruise control and automatic breaking, rear view camera, wi fi connection to my phone etc. That said however, I was NOT happy with the way the dealership handled the process. My complaints were multiple: * Even with the accurate ETA, it took them well over 2.5 hours to complete the paperwork. I had been advised it would be about 1.5 and was hoping to meet my cousin who lives an hour away in time for lunch at an agreed mid-point. That had to be scrapped despite arriving at the stated time I gave them and an all-cash purchase. * There were no floor mats in the car and in fact the driver's side floor was worn through to the metal underpan under the accelerator. I have had to buy new mats and protective mats for the car at a cost of nearly $400. *Supposedly the car had been dealer prepared for sale and delivery. In fact, two of the four tires were under-inflated by at least 30% below the manufacturers recommended pressure. *And finally, it was not until I was ready to drive away that I learned there was only ONE key fob for the car. I asked where the other one was and was told..."We only got one when we purchased the car from the previous owner." I said, "At any point along the chain of ownership when ownership transferred, the purchaser....in this case you or the owner before you should have made sure BOTH fobs were transferred and if one had been lost of broken, should have demanded payment for a replacement and then gotten it." They simply fell back on the excuse that they got one and that was what I was getting and refused to compensate me for the fact the second fob was not included. As a result, I have had to buy a new fob, get it programmed, AND get a duplicate key cut (not something you can easily have done at most locksmiths because of the key format.) My out of pocket for that will be between $200 and $300. (In earlier models, you could re-program a duplicate fob yourself. Prius eliminated the fob slot as of 2018, pre-empting that approach.) In short, I would NEVER recommend this agency for the purchase of anything automotive. They failed to complete the transaction in a timely manner. They refused to take responsibility or offer a discount for the lack of a second fob and didn't say anything about the issue until the last minute. They didn't fully prepare the car for transfer as evidenced by the low tire pressures. I still love the 2018 Prius. I do NOT love Renn Kirby and would suggest that anyone considering dealing with them heed the old warning, caveat emptor. read more

DO NOT shop here. Very poor service. I went in to look at a 2018 Honda Civic. The guy that I worked with had air pods in the whole time. Texted me instead of calling. My dad was going to put a deposit down for me so they would hold the car until I was able to go in the NEXT MORNING to sign everything and the guy said he didn't need to put anything down. Well 3 hours later my dad gets a call saying someone that worked there "snaked" him out of the deal even after he told my dad he DIDN'T need to put anything down because it'd be ready THE NEXT DAY . Very shady. They are scam artists. Luckily I was able to find a BETTER dealership to buy from this weekend and I got an even BETTER DEAL than Renn Kirby. Only 1 star because the finance guy was awesome. I do not remember his name but he drinks a lot of coffee and his office is on the right side. Everyone else stinks and are out for a buck....... PLEASE read- The process of buying the car was easy but after signing the papers, they drop you! I bought my car on a Saturday, on Sunday it was making a terrible noise (loose engine fan). I called them on Monday about it. I videoed the problem so they knew it was an issue. The noise stopped by the time I brought it to them. They said if it does it again to bring it back. It did it 3 more times (I documented it every time). I also mentioned my brakes pulse when I brake and when I unlock the doors it makes a funny noise. They said everything will be checked when I bring it in WHEN THE ENGINE MAKES THE NOISE. I finally got it to them while it was making the noise. Keep in mind I have had the car for 2 Only weeks now. They fixed my car and it took them over a week. They said my brakes seem fine (they are not) and never addressed the noise it makes when I lock and unlock my car. After that they tried to charge me for the repair! I told them NO WAY! Can you believe that? I refused to pay. The mechanic took me to the owner and I fought not to pay. I did not pay in the end. So here I am 6 weeks later and I still do not have my tags. I called and they said, "oh let me check". My temporary tags expire in 6 days, I haven't heard from them. THEY NEVER CALLED ME ABOUT MY TAGS-THEY HAD THEM! I will not buy from them again. I wish I had my old car back. I forgot to mention I only have 1 key in my possession. I asked them to provide me with another and they said "no". So now I have to buy another key ($300) read more

It all started out great a month ago when i bought the car and today not so great anymore. Jeremy gets 5 stars for being a wonderful salesman and very nice guy. On the other hand i have to give this dealership a 1 star. I had my new/used car detailed by a friend of mine and he pointed out that the fender had been repainted and quite a bad job too. I brought the car in and they did own up to repairing the fender and repainting it when they purchased it at the auction. I wish i was aware that they had done this and i most likely would have just looked at another vehicle. It says accident free but the fender was obviously bad enough that they had to paint it before putting it on their lot for sale. They told me to bring it in and they would repaint it for free and that was great! until i get a call two hours later saying that its all done. I show up and it was not repainted properly again. They didn't even take off the fender to fix it like they should have. Then i was told that they would not paint it again to make it right and that's a problem! The good: Bought my first new car, a 2014 Lancer Evolution GSR. They were very nice at the time, especially the sales rep Marc. They worked with me on the price and I went home with a shiny new EVO. That's about it. Now the bad. When I bought the car they said they only had 1 key and they would have to order it and will call me. So simple, right? Just a missing key, no big deal they'll get me another one. Not exactly. I never got a call. I was in the area and dropped by about a month later. No one knew anything about my key and they said they would order it and call when it arrives. Not good since I'm over an hour away I thought I could've gotten this out of the way while I was there. After about 2 weeks with no call I call again. Once again no one has a clue about my other key. This time I speak with the "manager" who says he'll look into it and call me back. HE CALLS BACK SAME DAY! Said he needs to order it and will call when it arrives. Guess what? That's right, no call back. After a couple more of the same we're now coming up to the 2 YEAR mark and I still only have 1 key. At this point I've nearly given up all hope. Out of no where I get an email from the salesman Marc who sold me the car. "Just checking in" notifying me about his return to the dealer after some time off. I thought maybe, just maybe we can finally get to the end of this fiasco. So I replied and explained to him about the missing key situation. Two weeks later, guess what? YOU GUESSED IT! No response! Stupid me for thinking I was actually talking to someone when this was apparently just some piss-poor auto email with no one on the other end. They got me, I'm a sucker! Good one! To summarize. They got the sale and got my money. That's all they want. They don't care about you. They don't care about your car. They don't care about your dog. They want your money and want nothing to do with you afterwards. There is no customer service at this place and zero communication. Absolutely absurd. I work at a car dealer myself so I know how things operate. This place is an absolute joke. I wish I went somewhere else but now I know and maybe I can help a few others shopping for a new car. I have been going rounds with them for over 1 year trying to get my vehicle fixed that is under warranty. Was told to drop of in December that the part was ordered; come to find out part never ordered 5 months later my vehicle would still be sitting there while I make payments on a vehicle that is COMPLETELY UNSAFE to drive. I just lost my husband to Cancer; I expressed to them the seriousness of this matter when he was diagnosed 5 months ago, thinking that would help push the repair through; this has been the most horrible time of my life, definitely didn't need to deal with this and guess what.. STILL NOT FIXED... and... NO ONE WILL RETURN PHONES CALLS..EMAILS.... Not to mention the other service issues that have happened.. Replacement of sunroof under warranty; and oh yeah - MECHANIC FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR- hooking up the drain tubes on the sunroof, so the entire headliner & carpets were saturated the night I picked up from service being it poured buckets that evening; they dryed out the truck, but proceeded to get BLACK OIL hand prints all over the inside on my Camel color interior.. and now all the interior headliner parts are falling out the ceiling.... Went to this dealer after seeing an ad on their website for a 2004 Jaguar priced at $4,677. After the sales person took some basic information and went to see the manager they came back with a price of $7,400. I was told that this included approximately $1,400 for a Maryland State Inspection and the rest going to a reconditioning fee. As I understand it Maryland state inspections run on average about $80. Reconditioning fees are in the cost of doing business and that's something to be added on after the fact to a price. This is simply a bald-faced attempt and increasing profitability and disguising it as something that it's not. Based on his experience I walked away with a rather negative feeling about this place of business. I will however say that the staff was polite and courteous. read more

But when I got home i noticed that all the tools that you need to get the spare tire down and to jack up the jack were missing. So I emailed them and told them what was missing. He said they could help me but I would have to drive back down so that they could see what was missing. Crooks at Renn Kirby. As a condition of me buying their used car, they agreed to rotate the tires. They broke all 4 wheel locks in doing so. The key was in the glove box, guess they did not look. They replaced the locks with $5 crappy china wheel locks that don't match the locks that were on there. They look terrible and don't even have caps. I want what I paid for, the original Mazda wheel locks. $30 on Amazon and they are dragging their feet. It's been over 2 weeks. Don't trust Renn Kirby. I am writing a review for an elderly friend who was taken complete advantage of by the sales person, LIAM on August 14, 2020. She was in a panic because she was without a car due to an accident. So she went to Renn Kirby where they pressured her into buying a car that she absolutely couldn't afford. She lives in social security and disability. She is raising 3 grandsons and believe me, money is tight. When she got home, she realized that there is no way she could afford the monthly payments. She asked that they take the car back. She was told, "Too bad, you signed the papers! She tried to make numerous calls over the last couple of weeks. Frequently she was put on hold. DO NOT TRUST THE FOLKS AT RENN KIRBY. When I called for her to get the name of the sales manager to write a letter, the reception had no clue what the managers last name even was. She put me on hold 3 times. Stay clear of Renn Kirby! I was shocked yesterday to see two Cars racing down East ST at well above the posted speed limit. A blue Lancer and Mitsubishi SUV were racing down the street weaving around other vechicles and nearly hit me and my family. These vehicles were marked with Renn Kirby plates and temporary dealer tags hanging out of the trunk. At the light at Monocacy and East, the blue lancer kept inching forward until it purposely rear ended the SUV in front of it.
