Scheduling for staging furniture pickup was such a struggle communicating with the Wahiawa office. Never received a call the morning to confirm pickup so I called the office at 11:45am. They assured me my pickup was scheduled between 1-5pm. No call from the driver so I called the office back at 4pm. They again assured me my pickup would be before 5pm (after the driver finished his lunch break). 5pm came and went, called the office again and AGAIN was assured the furniture would be picked up by 5:15p or 530p. Not one call from the driver, they ware a no show. Called the office back at 545p, tried three times and no one answered. I miss working with Roger and his Colortyme team in Wahiawa before the consolidation. Everything has gone downhill since Rent-A-Center took over. read more

For my initial purchase they brought me the wrong couch. They were nice the first time so I decided to get a tv stand a 3 piece bedroom set from them too. They set up my drawers with mirror attached and as the worker was getting ready to leave, I decided to inspect the set. There was a big crack in the wood that was sooo obvious, that the mirror was uneven. I immediately told the worker and he notified his manager. Everything was all set up, so I asked if I could just get a new mirror. The manager made it seem like the process wouldn't take long. Fast forward it's been almost a year, and no mirror. Also no updates. I call asking for updates and the manager just says, "we're unsure of when it will be coming in". Like I see them selling the same set over and over and they don't accommodate my purchase or give me a credit or refund... I'm basically paying full price for a broken product that I don't even have. They ripped me off. Also, once I missed a payment by TWO days and they showed up to my door demanding a payment but can't contact higher management about my mirror..... *side eye read more

I'm not sure why it took me so long to write this review and let me forewarn you it's going to be lengthy because I have a lot to tell you. So grab some popcorn cause here goes... My husband and I came in around the ending of March to look at what options they offered for sofas. When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly local woman. I felt very comfortable talking with her as if we knew each other from some where. We found a sectional that we liked and filled out the necessary paperwork. Once she had a chance to look at it and saw our last name she let us know that we were related! No wonder I felt so comfortable talking to her. She set up our delivery and even pulled a few strings to have it delivered earlier than it should be. Two days before the expected delivery date I get a call asking if it would be okay to deliver that day. We had to dispose of our old sofa ourselves but didn't mind being that the delivery was free. The guy on the phone let me know that they would be delivering between 4 and 5 pm and would call when they were on there way. 5:30 rolls around and we're sitting there (on the floor) waiting for a call. I decided to call myself. The manager Mike or Mark answered the phone and told me that they were just at my house and the security told them that it was too late for a delivery. I was so confused. First of all my building didn't have a delivery curfew and I've been looking for them now for over half and hour and saw no one. Why wouldn't they call? Come to find out that they went to the wrong address! I couldn't believe it. He said that they had already brought the sectional back to the storage unit but being that it was their mistake they would still deliver it. I asked me if there was an elevator and I told him yes. I explained that the larger piece may not fit and would likely have to be walked up the stairs. He said "We don't have to deliver it then" " The company isn't gonna be responsible if I break my back" I explained that I wasn't told any of this when I was at the store and had already disposed of my sofa. My husband said he would carry the thing up the stairs himself if he had to. Which they actually let him do! I was livid! Thankfully my neighbors son was kind enough to help him. Fast forward a week or two and I'm vacuuming the floor behind the sofa and I see a big bulge protruding from the back of the sofa. I call right away because their policy is to make any repairs free of charge while you are paying on the furniture. How ironic that is happens to be the piece that my husband had to carry up the stairs and the same manager that made the delivery and told me that he wasn't going to 'break his back' answered the phone. He asked me to take a magnet and put it near the protruding piece to see if it could possibly be a staple that came loose. I did so but it didn't appear to be a stable. I told him that it felt like a piece of wood. He said they would come take a look at it but would most likely have to take the piece and replace it. I told him that would be fine as long as he understood that my husband would not be carrying anything. He said he understood. The manager showed up the same evening with another guy to take the sofa. The only though that ran through my head was karma is a b****! The manager made a call to the storage facility to verify that they had another piece for me and brought it back in record time. I had to forgive the past disappointments at that point because I had felt that he made up for it. After having the sofa for almost 3 months I decided that I wasn't happy with how worn the cushions were feeling already and though about possibly exchanging it for a different piece (one of the great things about Rent-A-Center) My husband had also been thinking about getting a portable AC unit and saw that the website said that one was available at this location. we headed over and was greeted by the manager and other guy that helped deliver the replacement piece. We told them about the portable AC we wanted to get and they said that they didn't have portable AC units available. My husband showed them the information on line and they were confused. Oh well no portable AC for us from Rent-A-Center. I then told them about my concerns with the cushions. The Manager told me that he would follow up with their service department to see what they could do and get back to me the next day. I waited 2 days to hear back and never heard a thing. We went over the store and were happy to see the lady that helped us the first time (our family). She seemed different this time, not as upbeat and friendly. We told her that we wanted to change out the furniture. She told us what we had to do and gave me a new contract to fill out. We came back on the day she told us but she wasn't there. Come to find out that she hadn't processed anything! That was it we were done with Rent-A Center. Poor customer service and very unprofessional. We ended up getting a great deal from Sams read more

Wahiawa area store is the worst store I had to deal with the people there have no customer service skills I tried twice to purchase a sectional and I never was able to buy. The first time I had to. MIXED EMOTIONS ABOUT THIS PLACE AND HONESTLY, THE EXPERIENCE THAT WE ARE CURRENTLY DEALING WITH IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! SO DISAPPOINTING BEING THAT WE RECEIVED SUCH GOOD SERVICE FROM THEM BEFORE. Some people say "No news is good news" and I thought that was very appropriate for this situation and is basically the way I Yelp. I get good service and satisfaction, cool! I'm not much of a Yelp'er when it comes to positive reviews, which is my bad, I probably should more often. But trust and believe, when it comes to bad business, I'll make it known. Which brings me to this review: My husband and I had moved to Wahiawa back in 2014 and we purchased our first piece of furniture (our couch that we absolutely LOVE) from this location. In doing so, we had exceptional customer service, no problems AT ALL when it came to payments, and actually paid it off sooner than we expected. I forgot his name who helped us all through it but he was a hefty, friendly, local guy, and he made the process so easy! My husband and I decided to go lease a desktop PC through them thinking we'd get the same service as we did when we got our couch. Initially, it was that same guy that helped us get our couch that did the paper work BUT it was Brian who contacted me back when I inquired about it on their website and finished the process with us. Again, it all went well, we walked out of there completely satisfied. We arranged it so that we'd come in every week to make payments and that was that. After a couple weeks of going in, my husband was given the option to sign up to have payments automatically taken out, that way we didn't need to go in and he was stoked! We are such busy people especially during the weekends so it saved us a trip. The following week came, and I get a call from Julie notifying us of a missed payment. Umm okay? I'll just call and find out what's going on. I speak to Julie and at first she tells me that there was no paperwork of that being set up, then she tells me that the card was declined and advised US to call our bank and find out what the problem was. So we did and there was no record of a transaction of them attempting to make a payment. At this point, I was irritated and decided to just go in from now on for payments. Weeks went by and I inquired on their website about signing up so that I can make payments online. It said I would get an email confirmation to complete the process of signing up for that option, and I didn't receive anything. So I go in and speak with Brian regarding that. He then, takes our information down and mentions that my husband had initially signed up for that but was never processed but he could take care of it that day. So I get the log in information that my husband gave the first time around, thinking "Okay, cool! I'm all set to start making payments online." But NO! Later that week, they withdraw a payment from his account, mind you we have not logged on to authorize them to do so. But okay cool? Payment is made, I guess they're gonna start taking it out automatically from now on like they were originally supposed to do. Today is definitely the last string. I get a phone call and voicemail from them contacting me to give them a call. I call my husband to check if a payment was taken out, and it hasn't as of yet. So I'm assuming they are calling me for a payment. I have not called them back yet, my husband will be walking in today to see what the problem is this time around. *RME* (Rolling my eyes) Seriously, the worst case of the run arounds ever, the miscommunication is unbelievable and totally unacceptable. sold me a laptop didn't tell me anything was wrong with it. it keeps turning off and no windows license like seriously i got a new laptop to play games like league but nah it says nope and turns off in the middle of games giving me leaver buster making me wait another 20 min and when i take it in they said its cuz of windows license they said they would fix it and it would take 31 days for windows to approve of it seriously should have checked the license before selling it read more
