I am so glad that I came here. My daughter has broken her phone so many times that Apple decided they won't cover her with insurance anymore! November 21, 2016 is when I went in to get a new battery for $80 because I messed up & used a non-Apple charger on my phone. At least, I think it's what screwed up my battery. My phone kept dying at like 20% and all the other percentages except zero. It was also losing power upon plugging it into the charger. So the guy replaced the battery, and the battery part of my phone has been fine after that. However, I noticed that afterwards, Siri wasn't hearing my voice anymore. It would open up, but wouldn't even show the wavy lines, like it could hear sound. I used Siri fairly often, so it hadn't been long before going in that I had successfully used Siri. I can't pinpoint the date, but it had to have been within a few days of going in that I'd used Siri with no issues, if not more recent than that. I think it was the day after getting the battery replaced that I noticed the issue, and called right away which was like an hour before they were closed and I left a voicemail to see if it was possible that changing the battery messed it up, or if it was a delayed reaction from having dropped it months before, or if it was a natural defect. No one called back, so I went in maybe 3 days later and asked the same thing to the same guy who changed the battery, and he was very friendly, just as he had been the first time. So he opened my phone up and said the Siri piece looked undamaged and he couldn't figure out what was wrong, but he'd ask his manager. So he goes into the back and comes out a bit later and says he was sorry he couldn't help me because there was nothing visibly wrong with it, and it must have been some internal damage in the Siri piece from the fall. The part he said was the Siri piece, was actually different from the piece the Apple Store told me was defective. The one they said needs replacement is on the top, not the bottom. Anyways, he didn't suggest to try the Apple Store, which I didn't really think anything of it until I got so sick of not having Siri that I went to the Apple Store on January 5, 2017. So I waited like at least an hour just to get a text saying to come in because they were almost ready, and I talked to a woman in there and told her what was happening to my phone. Upon inspection, she asked me if I'd ever changed out the screen before. I told her I've never had any work done to my phone besides having the battery replaced. She said it looked like my "display" was from a 3rd party. I continued to assure her I never had it replaced because I'd never had an issue with it. I'd only dropped it once without a case, and it only left one tiny scratch. So she continues, and runs a diagnostics test on it. The front mic failed, and she explained she believes it was due to the changed display, and after some of my questions she said she'd have to ask and she'd be right back. She then came back, confirmed it was for sure a 3rd party screen, and something about it effected the "front mic" which was why my Siri wasn't working. She also found out it was $129 for the repairs which includes the Apple display. The only way my screen could've been replaced was the ONE time at the ONE place I've ever brought it in for repair, which was at Repair Apple. I am with my phone 24/7 besides that time I took it in for repair, and no one in my house even knows how to open up an iPhone, and wouldn't do that to me if they could, my son is only 1 1/2 and husband is the one who pays for everything so he wouldn't switch out my screen just to pay to replace it. All they were supposed to do was change the battery; my original screen was perfectly fine, and they never informed me of switching it out either. So I told the lady at the Apple Store that I wanted to get it covered by the people who are responsible for the problem in the first place, because $129 is a lot for us to pay when it wasn't our fault. Later in the morning or afternoon, I am going into Repair Apple if they don't call me back as I've left another voicemail. I will leave an update depending on whether they take care of this or not. I honestly would rather take it in to the Apple Store as I no longer trust this place, but I will not complain if it is taken care of. This is a serious pain though, I now know to just go to the Apple Store in the first place. Anywhere but Repair Apple. ***UPDATE*** I went back & it was the same guy. He looked at the phone, and since he gets a lot of phones & it's been a month, he can't remember what happened, but he asked what I would like them to do to fix the issue. The frustrated side of me wanted to have them give me the full $129 plus gas to repair it since I didn't want the work done there, but having worked in customer service, I knew it would be easier to get a refund because extra money normally involves corporate. Anyways, I just asked for a refund and he did give me the refund of $80. read more

Came in for a screen repair for iphone 4s, it was really quick and reasonably priced! We only had to wait an hour for it to be repaired, which is really quick in my opinion. It was only $45 for repair, too. The employee there was very nice and helpful. When we asked him what case we should buy to protect it better, he recommended us a certain brand that he knew was very good and reasonable. He even printed out a little piece of paper with the company's website, what model is best, and how much it would cost us. :) (P.S. if you are the employee and reading this, I am sorry about my grandma being preachy. Horrible business practices are done here. I'm a first time customer that needed my 5 year old son's ipod touch fixed as the screen cracked. My son has autism and adhd and he uses it during aba therapy and as a reward for good behavior. I was told initially over the phone that they had the part on Sunday so I brought it in. Now they tell me they don't have it... have to order it and it won't be ready until 2 days later. I told them I cannot wait. They said they can see if they can put a refurbished screen on and will call me back to let me know. No phone call back. I'm beyond upset because I have talked to 2 or 3 people with NO HELP or understanding. No empathy or care. These ppl treat their customers like crap do not go here. They won't get a single penny from me taking my business elsewhere. The worst part is having to pick up my son's broken phone and tell him it's still broken. read more

My experiences at Repair Apple. A month ago I brought 2 phones (one iPhone 6s and one iPhone 4s) and one iPod for them to fix. My iPod's only problem is it can not sync. Days later they told me my phones are totally unfixable so I said okay. So I went there to pick up my iPod and phones. I paid 20$ for my iPod charging issue and when I got home, my iPod was still experiencing the same problem. My first experience there would give them three stars. And this is my experience today. I gave them my ipad mini (crashed screen and broken earphone jack) at February 12 for them to fix. They told me they would give me a call either on the 12th or 13th. And I waited nearly a week for their calls but I did not receive any. Finally I called them, they told me my iPad was fixed. They also told me my earphone jack was fixed too. So I went in today to pick up my iPad. Infront of me in the line was a French lady, she was been told by the guy working there that her iPad could not be fixed. (Then I wondered...Isn't this place a repairing store? If you can't fix things what can you do then?) And then it was my turn, I told the guy I want to check my iPad's earphone jack, the guy said the iPad is out of battery. So I waited. Nearly a hour for them to charge my iPad. (Swear to God that I'm not over exaggerating) After that much time I finally got a time to look at my iPad. I was pissed. I see my iPad screen was GLUED on. And it wasn't even perfectly glued. There were gaps between the screen and the tablet. So I gave the guy a weird look and he told me it was his boss fixing it. I tested my earphone jack. Guess what? The same problem still existed. My earphone jack is still broken. They told me that they are going to check my iPad again. This is the last hope and chance for me as a customer to give them. This repair seriously does not deserves 100 dollars. This place does not worth people to go for. I am now thinking that my iPad is ruined. I agree with people that their customer service is nice. But from what I experienced, this is the only thing that they are good for. read more

I came back thinking it was another problem but the owner was here this time he told me he would charge me $35 just to check what else was wrong with it so... It was the wrong ram and they tested the laptop with thier own ram and it still didn't work so they charged me $35 to check something that they couldn't even fix in the end. The owner also kept trying to buy it off me and convince not to fix it anymore. Pretty much sell it to me because I'll charge $35 to check nothing. I want to fix this laptop to the end and they couldn't even find the problem. Why would someone charge for something that they couldn't even fix in the end? Horrible repair place, this owner is a piece of s***. I had to make a yelp acct just to review this s*** place. I got the iPhone 5s repair and instantly the screen was popping out slightly. I asked him why this was the case and he said, "when you fix a car, you can't expect it to be 100% fixed." LOL what?! How dumb do you have to be to even say that?? I said ok, w.e screen still works at least. About 3 days later, the screen doesn't even work properly, the touch screen barely registers anymore and would glitch out and get stuck. Went to a different repair place at the brea mall where the fix was 100% better. Screen didn't pop out and touch screen still works perfectly. Avoid this place for any phone repairs, unless you feel like getting ripped off. read more

What usually takes a few minutes to an hour took him a few days because my iPhone 3GS was particularly messed up. IT BRICKED!
