Do not ever hesitate to call this company! They go above and beyond when it comes to customer service!! Jacob recently fixed my LG washer. Unfortunately the main board had gone out. Jacob searched and found a replacement and in 3 days he was at my house to install it. Unfortunately due to no fault of his own it turned out to be the incorrect part. Jacob again was on the phone and he located the correct part here in Austin and was back to install it early the very next morning! As if all that was not enough, while the washer was pulled out he vacuumed all the dust from behind the my washer! That is amazing customer service! Called 5 appliance repair services in Austin. Only Repair My Appliance returned my call. They sent someone out the next day. The tech, Jacob was extraordinarily knowledgeable, friendly and sincere. He gave as a quote to repair the refrigerator ice maker, but also told us that our refrigerator was beyond repair for a separate leaking/rusting problem and was going to stop working; it was just a matter of time. We were happy to pay him the trip/inspection charge, which was less than the others I had talked with. We ended up ordering a new fridge. I can highly recommend both Jacob and Maggie, the service coordinator, who was all so helpful, friendly and understanding. read more

I called them to come take a look at our dryer vent, oven, and dishwasher. The dryer vent needed to be professionally hooked up because of the strange positioning. Jacob came out and met with my husband. He ran diagnostics on our oven and dishwasher and found nothing wrong. He then checked the dryer vent and determined that he was not able to repair because we would need to cut out part of the wall in order for it to be safely/securely hooked up. Their technician fee is $65, which covers ALL of the above diagnostic testing. However, I had also bought an adaptor from Home Depot for our dryer because the outlet is 3 pronged while the dryer is 4 pronged. It is a VERY simple process to replace these, but I originally figured we'd roll it in with the other repairs. After explaining he couldn't set up the dryer vent, Jacob still went ahead and set up the adaptor, WITHOUT telling my husband this would count as a repair and cost us $130. Again, this is something that can be done very quickly and easily by any home owner. And this was not the reason I asked them to come out. Instead of letting my husband know that this minor thing would change our bill from $65 to $130, he went ahead and did it. In my experience with other technicians and business owners, they have always been honest and communicated up front to made sure we understood what we were paying for. I'm giving them 3 stars because Jacob was reasonable to talk to over the phone and agreed to meet me halfway, settling at $95, which I appreciate. I just wish he had been more forthright to begin with, as I now have to pay for another person to come out and fix the actual issue, which is the dryer vent!! :( I'm sure they do great work, but unfortunately this experience for us was a huge headache. read more

My dryer continued to cycle but wouldn't heat or dry the clothing so I called these guys. I told them that it took sometimes more than 3 cycles to dry effectively. They told me that it was likely the vent being clogged and sure enough it was. They said to do it on my own and to call them if the problem persisted. Well, they were right and saved me a good chunk of money. I never actually used their service but I did take their free advice. I would definitely use them in the future. read more

The technician was able to come out the day after our call and make the necessary repairs to our LG washer. The cost was as expected for the type of repair needed and labor involved. It is hard to find good repair companies that service LG, so we were very happy. read more

On a Friday night, our refrigerator stopped cooling. We quickly discovered that new fridges are not affordable or available in a normal size. We called Repair My Appliance on Saturday morning and they had a technician on-site Saturday afternoon. In our two year old Samsung Fridge the 2nd ice maker stopped producing ice. I did all the at home fixes myself including the most basic - pressing the reset button, when doing that normally you hear the motor torque, but I was getting nothing. I scheduled the appt for next day and Jacob was extremely nice and I felt safe w/ him in my home, he had a brand new motor unit he brought w/ him in case it needed it. It was a $300 repair including labor, but I believe that is fair, appliance repair is just expensive. He wasn't here long, but I live far in the country, some places won't come out here. He asked if he could leave the old unit here to throw away, silly, but it gave me peace of mind. I would definitely use Repair My Appliance again and recommend them to friends etc. I was super nervous myself, because he did not have really any reviews, but most places have a lot of bad reviews and some I could tell the good reviews were fake. One place had 127 reviews on one of those recommendation sites, but 80 reviews were all left in a 3 day period?? Smells fishy. Anyway, glad I got Jacob, he was honest, did a good job, clean and nice and I now have ice again. read more
