    We came for a Friday dinner. The ambience gives prohibition bar vibes. They set us at a high top - not a great choice for dinner, but the service was good that we never had a table with old plates by the time we got something new. Food was incredible. Steak (ribeye) was prepared perfectly. Dessert (panna cotta) was delicious. Great bar as well. We tried a classic (Negroni) and a house suggestion (gipsy tears). 10/10

    Can't say enough good things about this establishment from the decor which is a throwback to the prohibition era to the service, which is excellent and attentive. I really like this place. Ordered the Southern schnitzel. An outstanding dish with a generous portion of schnitzel, chicken breast and collared greens. Overall if you're in Savannah try this no place!

    What is an adorable spot with great interior and nicely stocked bar is in fact just an average bar due to below average food and not terribly prompt staff. I really wanted this to be a 5-star review but it was just not happening. Drinks are good, but it takes a while to get them. I asked for a beer list and was told - they are listed on the wall...well excuse me it is a dim interior and I don't see it.... Grilled octopus tasted fried, while sourdough bread tasted as if it was baked 5 days ago and was just heated up to soften some. Not impressive at all. On the positive side interior is adorable!!!

    Brussel sprouts were crispy and well seasoned. Halibut was also good. Ordered too much food and could not enjoy the dessert. Autumn bramble cocktail was also good, but a little too much ice. Quick walk from hotel. Glad I stopped by. Restaurant is very dark. Service was good.

    This place self-identifies as a "Bar & Restaurant," not the other way around. They take their cocktails seriously, even listing their beverage director Jim McCourt prominently on their website. It pays off. My drinks were things of beauty, innovative, and delicious. But the food didn't disappoint either. In fact Repeal 33 is currently my "best meal ever", a position I expect it will hold for quite some time. I decided on the Progressive Tasting Menu as a way to try more things than I otherwise would. 6 courses, the first 5 decided by the chef and the diner chooses any dessert for the 6th. The portion sizes were about half of normal appetizers and entrees (except the steak which was close to standard) and altogether was plenty, while still leaving room for dessert which was normal size. Drink 1: Bon Appetit: bone marrow infused bourbon Old Fashioned. I was dubious: bone marrow in a cocktail? My very good waitress Carolina allayed my concerns: it's not there for taste but for body and it's only "washed" with the bourbon, not added directly. My curiosity was piqued so I ordered it. This simple classic did not disappoint. Strong, with an assertive oily lemon presence, a single large ice cube, and a curiously distinctive small cherry. A very large whiskey collection is offered. Scan QR code for the list. Course 1: Cod Croquette with Creme Fraiche and Caviar. Lightly golden fried and delicate in taste, elegant served with its edible flower garnish on an elevated plate. Kind of small but the courses get bigger as they go. Course 2: Grilled Octopus (charred eggplant puree, pine nuts, golden raisins, arugula, chili crisp). Beautiful presentation, and I have never had better octopus, not in the slightest bit tough. Course 3: Potato Gnocchi (mushrooms, sage, cranberry, brown butter, parmesan). Light in texture, subtly sagey, and the parmesan in the form of "noodles", somehow with an almost noodle-like texture. Drink 2: Emberline Swizzle (rum, spiced pear, lime, mint, bitters): Similar to a mojito but elevated to a thing of beauty. Everything in perfect balance: the alcohol (lots), the sweet, the sour, the bitter. Visually striking in the glass, layers of colors, the big mint leaves bright and fresh. This is the one that convinced me: mixology is truly an art form, and one in which Repeal 33 excels. Even the ice gets serious attention: each of my three drinks had a different form of ice, appropriate to the style. Course 4: Pan Seared Halibut (cauliflower puree, sweet & sour cauliflower, brown butter caper sauce, sunchoke chips: almost perfect except for being very slightly overcooked. I liked the two forms of cauliflower, especially the subtle pickling of the sweet & sour. Nicely browned top and the crispy chips added interesting texture. Course 5: Grilled NY Strip (duchess potatoes, creamed spinach, horseradish bordelaise): their interpretation of a classic steak house meal. Perfectly cooked medium rare (they didn't ask and I trusted them to cook it correctly), topped with the sauce and micro greens, a generous portion. Perfect potato. The creamed spinach was out of this world. It sounds so unappealing so I usually avoid it. I'll probably continue avoiding it because I can't imagine anybody else's coming anywhere close. All courses were brought at the right intervals (I was never rushed), were served hot and on a warmed plate if appropriate, and new silverware was brought for each course. Drink 3: A mocktail this time. There would be driving in my future. "Peace In the Garden" (Seedlip Garden, lavender, Earl Grey, lime). Same attention to detail as the cocktails, with everything in balance. With the moderate sourness tangy and refreshing I almost didn't miss the alcohol. The room was dim and done in dark wood tones, with the backlit bar and its many bottles glowing warmly in front of the antique brick wall. Unfortunately as a solo diner I didn't get a great view, sitting at a two-top against a wall of wine bottles; probably the table they try to fill last. Watching one of the runners repeatedly emerge from the kitchen, each time in a jog and bellowing "order" was pretty entertaining though. The music was mostly 80s rock: Bowie, Men Without Hats, Funkytown, Blondie. Not too loud, it was in balance with the other sounds: diners engaged in animated conversations and the ever-present clacks of cocktail shakers. From what I overheard of conversations this is quite the "foodie" place. A group near me could be overheard often discussing the nuances of what they were eating or considering. Apparently obsessed with "bone marrow" because those words drifted over to me through the din several times. Two other parties, a couple and a single, appeared to be similarly food-obsessed based on their overheard conversations. Course 6: Pumpkin bread sundae, with gelato, bourbon sauce, and candied nuts. The bread heavily spiced, and gelato smooth and strongly vanilla scented. A good choice to finish this fantastic meal.

    We liked this spot so much we visited it twice during our two nights in Savannah. The octopus is delightful! The cocktails are spectacular. Charlie, the bartender, is awesome.

    Prohibition Vibes, Warm Service, and a Happy Hour Hit I was in town for work and needed a bite close to my hotel since the on-site restaurant was closed. With St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, the city was buzzing, but it was raining and I didn't want to walk far. Repel 33 turned out to be the perfect choice--literally around the corner. I walked in and the Prohibition-era aesthetic set the mood. The staff made the place feel both classy and welcoming, a hard balance to strike on a rainy evening. The happy hour menu was a standout, lineup that included oysters, smash burgers, and delightful cocktails. I went with an Old Fashioned and Smash burger which hit the spot and felt perfectly suited to the vibe. I also indulged in Rockefeller oysters from the main menu, which were a tasty highlight and a nice complement to the overall experience. If you're looking for a nearby spot with a retro, inviting atmosphere and solid small plates, Repel 33 is worth a visit

    Amazing dinner! A must when in Savannah. Came here for dinner last night and left thoroughly impressed. From start to finish, everything hit the right note. Sara, our server, was an absolute gem: attentive, friendly, and just the right amount of chatty. We kicked things off with cocktails that were chef's kiss fabulous. For starters, we shared the beet salad (made with gorgeous golden beets and all kinds of delicious) and the Brussels sprouts, which deserve their own fan club. Perfectly charred, bursting with flavor -- these are not your average sprouts. For the main event, we split the chicken schnitzel, and wow... crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. A total comfort food win.

    Officially top 10 vacation meals of all time. Ee may have had a religious experience. The vibe is very chill and service was relaxed. Loved it. We started with cocktails. The guys got the old fashioned that was bone marrow infused and loved it. My sister got a regular old fashioned. I had the Elder Swizzle. It has the good ice and was very light. A great cocktail list! They had a special appetizer which after two seconds of describing we got. Think spinach dip but kale but also infinitely better. We had to ask for more bread. The guys also got the pork belly. For mains, I think mine won. I got the salmon. Sweet fancy Moses. Not a single bad bite. My brother in law loved the halibut but agreed the salmon was superior. My sister really enjoyed the smash burger. Hubby got the schnitzel and cleared his plate. Said it was perfectly cooked. Dessert. Y'all. Icebox banana pudding. Hands down. I'm not knocking the Nutella torte we got bc it was delicious especially with the gelato but the nana puddin.... Babes. All in all. Amazing meal and great vibes.

    I had a great time here my friends and I didn't have a reservation but thankfully found seating at the bar where they still do full dinner service. Drinks quality here is phenomenal if you getting just straight beat pour or ordering cocktails you'll be very happy with the bar selection. Food wise was great as well only issues was that my heirloom tomato salad wasn't a salad but to be fair the menu said EXACTLY what was in it but for some reason I expected maybe a little arugula none the less absolutely loved it and then the bone marrow we ordered lacked in bone marrow and was more of a snail dish with a hint of bone marrow 80% snail 20% bone marrow.. Pan seared halibut was so buttery and paired so nicely with the buttered corn sauce it layer in. Southern schnitzel was probably the biggest size wise of everything we ate that night at repeal and again quality was amazing Service was a bit slow but again we were sitting at a bar at the one of the busiest and nicest restaurants in Savannah what do we expect but it made up for it in ambiance and the meals.     If you're looking for a cozy, romantic restaurant, Repeal 33 is the perfect spot. I was there on a date, so I didn't take many photos, but I absolutely loved the ambiance--it's intimate and inviting. The staff were wonderful--so friendly and helpful with recommendations on what to order. I started with the Elder's Swizzle cocktail, which was a little too heavy on the vodka for my taste. They were so kind and graciously made me a new drink, which I really appreciated! For starters, I had the baby romaine salad, and for our entrée, we shared the grilled 12 oz NY Strip. It was cooked to perfection--rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The entire experience felt special from start to finish. I can't wait to go back!

    I met a friend to kick off her birthday celebrations at Repeal 33. The ambiance takes you back in time. There is a vintage cash register at the hostess stand, lights are dim, and the wall is lined up with bottles and bottles of alcohol. It gave you the feeling of what places may have looked like during prohibition. I would give them five stars for keeping with the theme; however, they sat us at a two-seater next to a bunch of greenery. We had to move it out of the way to enjoy our food. I felt like they placed a table in the middle of nowhere. Not the ideal spot to enjoy a meal. With that being said, I give them a 3 for ambiance. Charlie was our server tonight. She was average with customer service. She took our order, brought us food, and brought the bill. She came to the table once to see if we needed anything. She did her job, so I give the service three stars. Now for the food. I'm knocking on 4 out of 5. We ordered the bone marrow, which was cooked to perfection. The Whipped Ricotta Toast was perfection on a piece of buttered toast. I loved every bite. The corn was also tasty and nicely flavored. We also ordered the Oyster Rockefeller. The oysters were small but full of flavor. Overall I enjoyed my food and will return.

    Loved loved loved our dinner here Friday night. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated within minutes for our 715 reservation. Our server was amazing and helped with drink & food choice recommendations. We started off with the brussel sprouts, which were amazing & the Whipped Ricotta Toast, was also really good. The Toast was colder because of the Ricotta so it was different but still very tasty. Then we got the Pan Seared Halibut, only wish there would have been a little more for this portion, and the 12oz NY Strip. The steak was cooked well & had a nice flavor too it. I was able to substitute the sides for this plate and get the sides from the Brolied Salmon instead. Thank you! The carrots, risotta & potatoes were wonderful. Definitely recommend and would come back again!

    Great service. Amazing atmosphere. We had the pork chop and catch of the day. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. We recommend going.

The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.

Overall, the atmosphere inside was very light and put together, the creme walls contrasted perfectly with the historic stone walls. If you or your family are visiting savannah Georgia, I highly recommend Collins Quarter!

We started with one of each oyster, and it was insane how much flavor was packed in them. Our first course was also accompanied with the hand roll and the apple beet salad. The hand roll was fantastic. The beet salad felt like it needed some sort of acid/citrus with it, but still had great flavor. Course two was the mushroom cannelloni and the orecchiette. Both were phenomenal. My wife was obsessed with the cannelloni, the butternut squash puree was a perfect accompaniment. The pesto/parmesan foam on the orecchiette was an excellent touch. Course three we went against Colton's suggestion for the pork chop (almost got both, we were stuffed), and got the Ribeye. Great char, cooked perfectly. The peppercorn jus was an excellent topper for it. For dessert, we opted for the sticky toffee pudding. Although it wasn't sticky, the ginger pairing with it was an excellent touch. This is one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. This will be a staple for us whenever we're back in Savannah and will definitely be asking for Colton again. He is the kind of server I'd like to have at my restaurant. Props to Common Thread, props to Colton.

There was a couple next to us who was having the same dilemma after over hearing their conversation. The kale salad was okay but a little bitter for my liking and the potato soup had a thick layer of oil on the top which looked intentional but wasn't our cup of tea. The cornbread and mashed potatoes were good but nothing crazy in our opinion to write home about. Service was okay on our end, once our waiter realized we weren't getting any main entrees it felt like he ghosted us with no water until our food came out and then never came back to check in on us until he brought the check. We are going to try to come again next time we are in town in hopes we have a better experience and different menu!

Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered. We were sat in what I believe used to be a front parlour, by a window over looking the street. We had a dual service with one person being the "main" server, his name was Michael. He was in charge of giving us the spiel and answering our questions. A woman (I forget her name, sorry! But she was lovely) was in charge of running the food and clearing the plates. It was a very well run machine. The menu is pre set, but there were choices on some of the courses, like course where an option was a soft shelled crab - I definitely wanted to take advantage of that! We started off with Biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade, these were delightful, so fluffy and soft, and the marmalade was sweet, not bitter like it sometimes can be. The Amuse bouche was a trio of tiny items: a pimento cheese tart, a mussel with chipotle sauce and panko, and a square of salmon with mild wasabi and ginger. The salmon was definitely my favorite. The fifth course had a special as I noted before, so I opted to go for that, it was a soft shell crab with garlic, herbs and a vidalia onion slaw. Topped with peanuts and a white wine sauce. I think my favorite course of them all was the scallops with the carrots and the whipped ricotta - so simple but so delicious! Phenomenal special occasion place or just to cross off your bucket list. If I am in Savannah again (and the likelihood is high, its such an amazing city), I will be back.

This interaction was with a hostess [long hair, glasses]. Thankfully, another hostess [short blonde hair, orange pants] stepped in, and they shuffled some tables, and got us seated -- which we really appreciated, especially with a toddler. From there, the experience completely turned around. The ambiance was really cute -- dim lighting with little candles that made it feel cozy and romantic. Our server [tall, muscular] was fantastic and the food was genuinely very good. So here's the takeaway: the kitchen and service once seated are strong, but the first impression at the door needs work. It shouldn't take a second ask to feel like a guest.
