This place is located in a busy area. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Both seating areas are quite large for a coffee shop. Parking on the street is free, but it can take a little effort to find the parking. The black vanilla iced latte is absolutely delicious!!! I also enjoy the turmeric latte. Long overdue post but I came here for brunch with my mom. This place is BUSY and packed on weekends, so best to come on weekdays/super early. Parking was difficult; we ended up parking at a free lot ~ 10 min walking distance. There's a parking structure behind the restaurant but I believe it was closed that day/you need to pay a lot. We had to wait for a bit before we got seated. Since this is a coffee shop/restaurant, you order at the cashier and then you get a number stand so the waiters know who ordered what. My mom and I ordered three items: 1) Mushroom Brie Toast: 4/10 Presentation js beautiful but unfortunately this was WAY too salty for me. The mushrooms felt oversalted while the Brie was already dried up. I had expected a lighter taste but it ended up upsetting my stomach. 2) French Toast: 8/10 French toast is your classic. However I didn't think it was super soft and spongey as I had expected for a brioche - the fruits on top were nice but they tasted a bit dry/stale. The mascarpone whipping cream was too much personally. 3) Breakfast burrito: 7/10 Filling but yummy. The wrap was a bit dry and the chorizo made this a bit spicy for my liking. Overall, it's a good place to check out! I came to Pasadena and wanted to try it after seeing it on social media. To begin with, the staff and service were very unwelcoming. The pastries did not look fresh at all, and the cleanliness and upkeep was a bit questionable. Sat down at a table outside, and we had to remove the previous customers coffee glass off the table. Still being hopeful, sat down to enjoy the coffee, and there was a strong sewage smell in the area. How are people sitting comfortably with that stench in the air? Couldn't find available seating for 2 inside so we sat outside next to the large beautiful elephant ear plants. Parking was also limited so my friend parked in a parking garage around corner and I found a spot close to the front of place. BE AWARE THOUGH- PARKING ENFORCEMENT DOES DRIVE AROUND so don't exceed your allotted time. Food was good. I had to place 2 separate orders totaling $50 because I didn't see menu in small slot upon entering place. First round was lavender & oat hot coffee, banana nut bread, and ham & cheese croissant (ham was a bit too sweet- hence my second order). For my second order I got 2 scrambled eggs with French toast. Arrived on the weekend to do some work. Be warned though that the wifi isn't always reliable. We were told by the barista that sometimes it's actually turned off on the weekend, so we were unable to access the internet entirely. In terms of a workspace, it isn't the greatest cafe due to this. They do occasionally have live music, which is quite a nice touch! It can be quite crowded though, so depending on when you come, your luck may vary in terms of finding a table. The coffee drinks that I've had have been solid though. I tried the Purple Caramel Latte recently and it was delicious. Their matcha didn't impress me as much. read more

Big shoutout to Connor, who was incredibly helpful, polite, and really on top of everything--he made the experience that much better. I had thought they would make it fresh, but I got the one that was left in the display. The bread was unfortunately stale and quite hard (it ended up cutting up the roof of my mouth), but the contents were still good so I powered through. The only reason I'm reluctantly giving it 3 stars is because of an experience I had recently with one of the guys at the register who took our order. It was the one time we weren't getting drinks and just got pastries. We first asked about one of the cakes and what it was and we got an irritated "what?" Like we were interrupting something critical. And then once we chose and paid for the pastries, as we were saying thank you he just TOSSED them to us while turned talking to another worker.
