Extremely questionable business practices. I called to have the condensate drain cleaned out and inspected. Trane Unit, 9 years old. Techs came and said the internal drain pan was rusted and leaking and couldn't be replacements because it was welded to the coil. They stated by the time everything was fixed, it just be better to replaced the unit. Water was leaking and staining the ceiling and walls and I had no time to double check what they were claiming. Photos provided were hard to decipher but showed a rusty pan. Then I got a quote for the unit replacement ($15k !) for a brand I never heard of. I should have done more research but told them to proceed. The next day two different techs show up with the unit. I mentioned to them, by the way, it never came up but the condensing unit is right behind our bedroom and if the new one is any louder than the Trane unit, I don't want it. The tech said that this brand is known for being louder than Trane and Carrier. They put me in touch with the sales guy and he said the next unit up that is quieted would be another $2k more. I said fine, proceed. In the mean time, the two techs went up to inspect the AHU. They were up there for awhile and came down and stated that the unit and auxiliary drain pan (not the primary) were pitched in the wrong direction. They adjusted everything and cleaned out the drain line and stated everything was now draining properly. When I asked about the rusted primary drain pan inside the unit, they stated it was plastic and just fine. The coil showed very minor signs of oxidation but nothing to be concerned with. So impossible for a plastic pan to be welded to the coil. I asked if they recommended replacing the unit. They said they saw no reason to. This was 2 weeks ago and all seems to be fine. So, I very nearly spent $17k on an inferior unit I didn't need. Unbelievable. These techs at Rescue One work on commission and upselling. Some have integrity. Others do not. read more

We've used Rescue One Air since moving to AZ. They "were" a great company and I referred many people, generating a lot of business. Now, however, they have been sold to a larger company and the customer service is beyond terrible. Holes in our ceiling where a workman stepped through it, wires clipped causing a partial loss of electrical use, no show for appointments (multiple), no instructions on the installed softener....the list goes on. They quoted my $49 to clear any drain. The technician Ben Mathew's called and said it was a "simple drain clog" and would cost $200 to get done. I asked him about the $49 any drain he said oh that only applies to main lines not simple showers. I told him to do the work just because I didn't wanna waste time haggling. So then I called the company, hoping they would be ethical enough to honor their word and maybe split the difference with me. I talked to a gentleman name Adam Barllo and he said oh no that only applies to some drains not all drains. And when I asked him if they would work with me, he said no we don't do that. Their website says they treat their customers like gold when it should read they treat their customers like a source of gold. Their ads are totally bait and switch all the way and Adam was laughing about. This is a shady company that you should avoid like the plague. Ben was a nice guy but Adam was pathetic and came off like a real bottom feeder. Buyer beware when dealing with that guy. read more

Yikes. Nightmare fuel with this quote I got. I had a very simple project I needed checked out. My front yard irrigation valve was leaking a bit. I just needed it taken out(cut off) and closed off. I didn't want to mess anything up with my system so I thought I'd get a professional quote and have them do it. I ended up going with a landscaper for $50 before I even got this quote.. While they were responsive and quick to look at the work. Their price was way more than we ultimately paid to have the work done.

They completely misdiagnosed an issue in my house that would have costed me $4,000. I called about having a plumbing vent clog for my kitchen sink (gurgling, sink draining slowly) and the plumber who arrived did not seem knowledgeable. Before he actually listened to what I was saying about a clog in the vent, he tried offering me coupons for a water heater and garbage disposal replacement. I had to ask him to snake down the vent only if he could get past the 90 turn in the pipe (my 25ft snake couldn't). After snaking, he told me he couldn't get passed 15ft and he noticed "mud" in the vent. He diagnosed a corroded cast iron pipe and quoted me over $2800 to open an exterior wall to fix the vent pipe and fix the pipes under my sink (Cost doesn't include brick and mortar repair + drywall). He couldn't give me concrete evidence as how that material could get in the pipe and seemed to be guessing. I called a different plumbing company to get a second opinion and found out I'm actually on plastic, not iron like Option One said. All I had was just a clog. Total cost was $500 to unclog and fix my pipes under the sink. Option One almost made me open up a wall for something that wasn't broken and then made me pay $133 to run a snake with no solution or evidence supporting their diagnosis. They are only interested in up selling. read more

He tells me what he has to do which is what my inspector had said needed to be done. then tells me he doesn't know the price has to ask the pricing guy that means that the technician is not knowledgeable enough to know how much it cost ... And the price guy is there to rip you off ..then quotes me $2,500 . This is completely unrealistic I just had my whole house re piped with PEX and at that time they quoted me $1,500 . To do all of the drain lines new and all the main lines to the septic. This company option one..wanted $2500 for a repair that should be under $500. I do not recommend this company. I had a clogged drain in my kitchen sink that I couldn't unclog myself after trying everything (garbage disposal overload issue). Option One offered the lowest price to come out and fix. The person taking calls and scheduling was very polite and professional and he was able to get someone here quickly. They use an automated alert system to keep customers informed of appointments, etc. The plumber actually texted when he was nearby to let me know he would be arriving shortly, he was super polite and thankfully did not object to me asking him to wear a mask. The best part... because the issue was resolvable with just a plunger he said there wouldn't be a charge. I was dumbfounded. At a time when customer service (literally everywhere) seems to have gone down the drain (no pun intended) this kind interaction has restored my faith in humanity! Devin, the plumber that came out to fix my mother's two bathrooms, left the bathroom and the guest bathroom in shambles!! Tons of dust covering furniture, bedding, shelves in the guest bedroom. And he damaged the paint and baseboards in the bathroom. My mother and I paid $4000+ for Option One to fix our plumbing. But obviously, they sent us an amateur who is NOT details focused! BTW, it took us several hours to clean up the bathrooms, shelves and bedding of dust and dirt. UPDATE as of March 20, 2020 Larry, the owner was awesome to make this right. He was not aware of the damages. He sent over a professional contractor to fix the damages in the bathroom. Everything was fixed to my mother's satisfaction w/in two days.
