First time here and it's a cool looking bar. The floor and walls are concrete with the bar placed directly in the middle. It's right by house of blues. The cosmopolitan I ordered was delicious. I just wish it came in a martini glass. The bartenders are very nice here too. I would stop by for a drink again.

I loved finding this spot while walking to look for a bar. The customer service was great. I got an espresso martini and it was sooo good. Their happy hour was soooo good. They had a lot of good choices. I can't remember what this green drink was but I remember it being delicious as well.

I've been coming to Reserve 101 for years, and it's one of those spots that's always held a soft spot in my heart. I still miss the old bar setup before the renovations, it had a grittier, lived-in charm that made it feel like a real Houston staple. That said, the new design is sleek, stylish, and feels more elevated while still holding onto the soul of what made Reserve special. Whether I'm here with friends for a casual night out or just stopping in solo, the vibe is consistently relaxed and welcoming. I've even been lucky enough to attend one of their free tastings -- definitely a fun perk that shows they're serious about their spirits. Service has consistently been on point. The bartenders really know their craft and seem genuinely excited to help you find something you'll enjoy. It's the kind of place that works for both serious whiskey lovers and anyone just looking for a solid cocktail in the heart of downtown. I especially appreciate their customer-first attitude. If a drink doesn't quite hit the mark flavor-wise, they're more than willing to adjust or remake it to get it right. Definitely a go-to in the rotation.

great whiskey bar! the service is 50/50, the bartenders weren't very welcoming.. one of them asked me to move to another table because the table i sat at was reserved... but there were like 5 empty tables. the party who "reserved" the table i was seated at and asked to move from, came in and sat elsewhere.. so the whole process of asking me to move was nonsensical. it was also not busy. like a lot of negative space empty. despite the nonsensical musical chairs, the cocktails are exceptionally crafted and the ambiance is gorgeous!! if you can tolerate a lil bs and you're in the area, give it a try. however, i would not recommend traveling across town to visit.. with the chance of the service not being spot on. also, the parking situation can be challenging. there is metered street parking and a paid parking lot around the corner. bonné santé

Came here after a Rockets game for a drink and it was very fancy (and dark) inside. Service was great, the bartender checked up on us a lot. There was a drink menu that had plenty of whiskey options. What was a bit weird was that there were two girls walking around inside selling homemade cupcakes and tamales. I get that it's the holidays and tamales are it right now but do we trust food like this? Idk. The espresso martini was strong and smooth. Could've been a tad more creamy. The restrooms were very clean.

The place looks like a dive on the outside, but the inside is minimalist with all focus on the incredible booze collection. The cocktails are unparalleled and creative. The service is efficient and unobtrusive. It's a must on the Houston bar scene.

The drinks here are so tasty! I got the Moonlit Wings: Teeling Irish Whiskey, St Germain, Sage, Rose Verjus, strong but full of flavors. My husband had Wailing Gaelic: Slane Irish Whiskey, Pear, Ginger, Honey, Citrus and Old Fashioned, both are great. Great place to hangout after concerts at the Toyota Center to wait out the traffic.

Prior to going to a basketball game at the Toyota Center I stopped by here to take advantage of the Happy Hour specials. There was only 1.5 bartender working, so it took a little while to order a drink, but when I did receive it, it was bold and clearly full of alcohol, which I appreciate. Surprisingly, considering the size of the place, there weren't much seating available, but lots of grungy decor that made me feel like I was in a bar on Knockturn Alley ;) IYKYK.

I was in a Houston for a work conference and ended up walking by Reserve 101. Don't let darkness from within fool you for this is one of the best whiskey bars I've ever been to -- not just in Houston, but anywhere. The selection is amazing, with hundreds of bottles from around the world, including rare and hard-to-find labels you won't see anywhere else. I got my favorite - Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Islay Single Malt Scotch and it did not disappoint. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or just starting to explore whiskey, there's something here for everyone. Bartender Marc is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what he does. He mad great recommendations for my flight and even shared a bit of whiskey history along the way. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a date night, catching up with friends, or just sipping solo at the bar. If you're in Houston and enjoy whiskey, Reserve 101 is an absolute must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back for my next conference.

Great whiskey bar with great prices. I stumbled on this bar while in Houston, and the ambience immediately hits you with a lively atmosphere. The cocktail options are plenty, and there are multiple choices for different tastes. The prices are great at around $12-14 per drink. The bartenders are attentive throughout the night. Texas Cocktail Week! Had a good time here, it's a beautiful dimly lit bar with lots of bar seating. It was super busy when I went, but I had a great time. I got the Badita, which has an initial smokey taste that fades into sweet & fruit. This was definitely one of my favorite drinks that I've tried during cocktail week so far! I will say the music is a bit too loud, which is why I'd give this place a 4/5. I could barely hear my friend talking to me & they were right next to me. I'll definitely be returning in the future!

After seeing and reading so much about this Whiskey Bar I knew I needed to go. Went to R101 on a Sunday. We were welcomed as soon as we walked inside. Husband and I decided to sit at a booth against the window. We were immediately greeted by Marc, whom is a great bartender and made us feel at home. Marc opened the menu and told us about $6.00 barrel pick Sunday, which is an ounce of bourbon/whiskey of the R101 barrel pick vs the regular price. So YES to barrel pick $6.00 Sunday!! The atmosphere here is great. The people are so welcoming and patient. I had 3 different 1 ounce pours and husband had 3 different 1 ounce pours from me. And we shared a Mango Tango which is a rye based drink created by Marc. We started our selection on the left side which is lower proof and ended with some heat by Garrison Brothers... Shock and Awe!! The bourbon was enjoyable, the staff @R101 was delightful and the Mango Tango was the perfect combination to ease the heat of the Awe & Shock. I highly recommend R101 and plan to return. Thanks Marc for welcoming husband & me into a "Cheers" atmosphere of R101.

Ambiance: I went here with family on a week night. This is in the heart of downtown so expect down town parking, side streets. Service: there was two bartenders and we had a good night. Food: no food but we just had high ball japanese whiskey. This place is a vibe. read more

My friends and I just finished watching a hyped up show at House of Blues and weren't quite ready to end the night. We crossed the street and came over here to Reserve 101. It was my first time coming in but I had it bookmarked for awhile. First impression was this place is small, but after looking around, they have some seating upstairs as well as a little seating outside. We came in with the show crowd but were able to snag a few spots at the bar. This is an old building with lots of character. They also have one of the largest and extensive whiskey collections in the country. Customer service was outstanding with AJ at the helm. One of my friends is a whiskey connoisseur with a great collection of his own, but AJ put him on some new stuff and dropped lots of knowledge on our group. Not only that, he was making multiple drinks at a time with ease while making its perfectly. Give this man a raise! We were originally thinking of coming in for a night cap. Little did we know we would spend almost 3 hours here. I started off with an Espresso Martini as it is one of my favorite late night drinks. This was good. Everything was well balanced. My favorite of drink of the night and one of their signature drinks was the Clarified New York Sour. I didn't even know you can clarify whiskey. This drink was expertly made and so delicious and refreshing. MY friends had a variety of drinks and not one drink was bad. Trust me, I tried 'em. We even had a savory whiskey drink that was good to me. I'm not a huge whiskey drinker, but this place definitely has the good stuff and they sling out excellent drinks. I am adding this to my rotation of fave bars and will most definitely be back sooner rather than later! read more

Always a 10/10! You'll never go wrong with a house Old Fashioned. Busier on the weekend evenings. If you're gen X, makes a great spot to day drink and uber home to be in bed by 9 . Not sure about parking as I either Uber or walk. Otherwise, a phenomenal crew running the show! read more

I was staying at the Hyatt not too far from here and stopped here because it the close by. I loved the vibe inside with the dim lighting and appreciated the little patio to the side. Fowler was an amazing bartender for me and my friends and was willing to bring our drinks out to the patio as we were on the way there. We waited for our drinks to save him a trip,, but really appreciated he was ready to go above and beyond for us . Appreciate him for the lost delicious drinks!! read more

Great bar if you're looking for a deep spirit menu, especially focused around bourbon. Interior is more dive bar (think Poison Girl) than snobby whiskey bar, so bring those expectations and you wont be disappointed. There is a long bar at the entrance with ample seating available. Beyond the bar there is a separate room with various sitting areas, as well as a reserved table for groups to do tastings. It's downtown so we just ubered and I'm not certain if they offer private parking, or if it's just street/parking garage. We had made reservations in advance and were seated at the group table. They just started a service where one of the bartenders would come out to our table and take your order, talk bourbon, etc. The service was excellent and everyone was very knowledgeable and thoughtful when we asked for recommendations or stand out under the radar picks. Unfortunately on our most recent visit, even a whiskey bar has fallen victim to the bourbon rush/shortage as of late. I'd say about half the allocated bottles we asked about were out of stock, but there were still plenty of tasty pours to be had. Another important note, the allocated bottles that were on hand were only available in 1oz. pours, which was totally fine for us, but make sure you have that expectation in mind. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. It's an excellent place to try multiple sips you'll probably never see again, or if you do, you'll have to pay far more elsewhere. All in all, this is a top bar choice for downtown, if not Houston in general, when you're looking for some rare brown water and a great overall experience. read more

Used to be a great dive bar. ... it's now hip lounge bar. Extensive selection of spirits. Only downside is the bartender " Marco or Marcos ". Bar was full and he didn't seem to manage orders with respect. He made it seem we were bothering him every single time we ordered drinks. read more

This place is way better than I imagined it would be. The interior was very chic and more upscale than I was expecting in the best way possible. Marc was our bartender and he was excellent. I'm a big time fan of small joints that feature quality drink. Reserve 101 caught my eye because they feature some hard to find specialty liquors, and to top it off, they don't overcharge. They can mix anything here, but I always come to find something that I haven't tried before. I've enjoyed a number of bourbons and whiskeys here with my best mates. You can choose to stay in the main bar, or this also seating in the other rooms. It'll get packed on game days, so don't be too picky about personal space. Reserve 101 isn't dirty, but after all, it's a bar. I've never had a dirty glass or anything. Sometimes the ladies will complain about a sticky floor, but as far as I'm concerned, that can happen anywhere. Enjoy a good time with your friends here. Figure $10-15/drink. read more

Used to LOVE this place. I miss the intimate setting and innovative drink specials. Having said that, the redesign is fantastic...spacious and chic. Great location. Took a friend after they reopened though, and the server was pretty short, bothered, and a little rude. My friend said he won't be back...was a bit embarrassed since I'd recommended it. That was disappointing. Haven't been back sadly. Houston visitors will likely love it if they're stopping through tho. read more

While this is a great bar with an excellent selection of house drinks and select local beers, the real reason to come is the staff. Specifically AJ. it is honestly worth finding out what night he will be working and make it a destination location. Not only does he serve the drinks fast and proper, he does it with flair. It is seriously like watching an artist. While downtown Houston is lacking in nightlife, evenings here make up for it. I spent a few memorable evenings here under AJs care and would highly recommend it to all. read more

We came in on Valentine's Day and sat in the back room. The room was very comfortable and quiet, but in a good way, a great place for a date! The front bar was busy but seemed to have a great vibe as well. Despite it being busy, drinks came out quick. We had called ahead and made a reservation, which the owner came by to check on for us. The service was great and the drinks were wonderful. I wanted to try the unique Dr. Pimms Cup, but they were out so I had the clarified 101 which was fantastic. Highly recommend checking out this bar, there's a vibe and drink for everyone. I'm looking forward to bringing my whiskey aficionado family back for their huge selection (and to try the pimms cup) read more

We fell in love with this place while living and working downtown. It became our regular spot. The owners and staff are highly knowledgeable about spirits and will kindly chat with you to help you find just what you're looking for. My favorite things about Reserve is how much I've learned from them ... and also that my husband proposed to me there. They also let us to take our engagement photos there. One of the BEST whiskey establishments I've ever been to. Before working in the professional environment, the only whiskey I was drinking was Fireball (ew) in college. My team at work indoctrinated me into their "Whiskey Wednesday" where we go to the Reserve for drinks. Over the past 3-4 years, I have refined my whiskey tastes and have tried a VAST majority of the bourbons. Huge bourbon fan, not too fond of Scotch. If you can't find what you're looking for here, you're hard pressed finding it anywhere else. They even get specialty whiskeys in every one and awhile such as Anniversary editions, Pappy Van Winkle, etc. The bartenders also all know what's up. They can aide you in pretty much all aspects of whiskey and whiskey drinking. Sarah rocks! Don't be scared to ask for help!! read more

Very cool spot in downtown Houston. This place has drinks for refined palates without being stuck up. Lol. Super low key on a Saturday night. The menu is huge and has all price points. It's not super loud and really spacious. They have a big lounge near the back with tons of tables and comfy chairs. I'll definitely be back! Highly recommend it! read more

I came here on my last stop of the evening and had always wanted to come and check it out, even though I am not a whisky drinker. There was nothing really going on in this part of downtown on a Sunday evening, so the place was dead when we walked in. We asked if "you are open" and the bartender said "yes". Didn't catch the name of our bartender but he was very helpful and friendly with us and even gave us a free sample of a premium Taiwan whisky. I ordered a Hemingway which was pretty good and reminded me of a pisco sour. The back (or side) lounge area is great and reminded me of Sherlock's on Westheimer a little. I'm sure the vibe of the place is much different when it's packed during an event or a busy time such as weekday happy hour, but I wasn't complaining in the least to be the only customers in the joint. I inquired if they had any infused drinks and he indicated all they had at this time was their zingers. After a while, we got up to leave and there was another customer that had come stumbling in. I'll definitely have to come back and try some other drinks. Our bartender seemed very knowledgeable, so I can trust they will make me a good drink every time. read more

I really like this place. Fellow Yelperette Suzanne R. was celebrating her birthday weekend at the Hilton America's a block or two over so her I and her friend decided to walk around to see what was local walking distance to where she was staying. I saw this place on the way on meeting her so we ended up here. We sat, got our drinks and chatted away with bartender in tow. The guy was pretty nice, told us about the place, talked about the beers and introduced me to a new beer that I am hooked over my old label. I usually drink "Young's" Chocolate Stout and being introduced to this new one had me hooked from the go. (Pic added to business). My friends were downing a few Budweiser Lights (yeeeich!) and the bartender kind of converted them to some kind of nutty ale, it was good, so good that they seemed to like it as well. That takes a little power there, good move Mr. Bartender. Midway in our stay I noticed there also was an upstars. Upon observance at a 360 degrees this place became deemed in my noggin to be pretty cozy. I definitely will be back. read more

My coworker and I were on a business trip to Houston and thought we'd go see the downtown area before we hit the airport back home. Decided to do a quick Google search for "best bar downtown Houston" and this place came up. Now, I once heard somewhere that some things are true whether you believe in them or not. When we approached the bar, they had a sign out front that said "best old fashions in Houston." We thought to ourselves, "that's high praise," but figured we would give them a shot anyways. If your looking for the largest whiskey and bourbon selection in Houston this is the spot! They have an vast selection that is unparalleled to anything else I've seen in Houston. They also make many other great cocktails on their top ten list that cater to even the folks that may not love bourbon and whiskey as much as I do. My absolute favorite is The Gimlet it's made with Fords Gin, Double Lime Cordial, and Sherry. Wow just wow it's one of those drinks that make you feel like a million bucks and it's so good it's dangerous, before you know it you've drank four and stumble out of the place wondering why everything around you is spinning...lol. Josh is one of the best bartenders there he seems to know everyone and is hella knowledgeable on all things bourbon/whiskey! I had walked passed this bar for years but I never by. I came here on a Sunday evening and there were no other customers. It's a Whiskey bar so they serve various kinda of whiskey from around the world. I was very impressed by the fact that they serve Taiwanese whiskey here and I had a chance to get a free sample. Found this bar on a whim and honestly would say it's one of the most intimate bars in downtown Houston. I had the Point and Shoot, and New York Sour. Both drinks were strong which is good. I like the flavors of the New York Sour. read more

Went to this bar for New Year's Eve and had a great experience! My boyfriend is a whiskey and bourbon connoisseur so we made this as our first stop in Houston. The bartenders were amazing! Fantastic bar ! Randomly stumbled upon this gem and will continue to come back ! Service is impeccable. Bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. They creates a custom flight whiskey flight for us which was amazing. Got some non alcoholic cocktails which weee amazing as well. Espresso martini 10/10! read more

Established in 2008.

When Reserve 101 opened at the corner of Caroline and Dallas in January 2008, we were taking a chance on downtown Houston. It was an intersection surrounded by construction and parking lots -- today, Reserve 101 is located directly across the street from House of Blues and an emerging collection of businesses including Greenstreet Pavillions. Reserve has become established as the best whiskey bar in Houston, attracting notable visitors including musicians The Killers, Arctic Monkeys and Shakira; Oscar winng actor Sean Penn; basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley and NBA superstar Kobe Bryant; UFC president Dana White; and Houston Texans star Andre Johnson. The bar has won numerous awards and is known for its unpretentious, no-frills atmosphere but also simply as a unique destination for scotch, monthly wine selections, exotic martinis and whiskey tastings.

In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. Desserts: the Olive Oil Cake was a dream: incredibly moist and tender with vanilla richness and a kiss of lemon. The Black Bottom Pie was not my favorite. I would the salt to be too much and couldn't eat more than 2 bites because of it. Service: warm, gracious, attentive, and efficient. As for ambiance, this is where the restaurant misses the mark for me. It's in an old house, and when we walked in, that's exactly what I smelled: old house. It did appear as if there would be a private dinner upstairs later on on because I saw some placemats with the guest of honors name included on them. I was pleasantly surprised at how good they made it. I have yet to order a drink that I did not like. They have a small parking lot out front. There's also street parking. Given that it's near a few bars, parking can be difficult during peak times. Wicklow Heights is great for a stop on a bar crawl or for a chill afternoon with friends.

They'll make an announcement for you to go grab a bingo board from designated spots and it was quite a fight to get a board, which is one per person. I think we played a total of 5-6 rounds with breaks in between and each round is a different goal (e.g. regular bingo, making an X, blackout, etc) with a different prize and the prizes gradually get bigger. Since the tables were all full, lots of people were either sitting around the stage, or on the turf, or standing on the back patio. Parking was super crowded. They have a lot which was definitely filled so I had to resort to street/neighborhood parking. They made announcements that if you park at the establishment next door you WILL get towed (they had tow trucks coming in the whole night I feel)

I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. The first were "natural" and nicely briny. The 2nd was pure genius: they said it would taste like a Big Mac, and they were spot on. Amazing! Steak Tartare - the steak and deviled egg mixture were satisfyingly velvety and the accompanying bread was buttery, chewy, and addictive; Puff Puff Pass - unique textures: crispy, chewy, smooth elements are married beautifully. Nonno's Pasta - this dish was my least favorite. I found the flavors to be too cheese forward with not enough acid; Jamon With Your Bad Self - while not much to look at, this dish was outstanding. The pork's texture was simply magical, and the flavors well-balanced. On the side, we had the Fingerlingin Good potatoes, and they lived up to their name: pleasantly crispy and bursting with savory goodness. Desserts: the Olive Oil Cake was a dream: incredibly moist and tender with vanilla richness and a kiss of lemon. The Black Bottom Pie was not my favorite. I would the salt to be too much and couldn't eat more than 2 bites because of it. Service: warm, gracious, attentive, and efficient. As for ambiance, this is where the restaurant misses the mark for me. It's in an old house, and when we walked in, that's exactly what I smelled: old house. Still, if you're looking for a unique, creative menu that delivers on flavors, add nobie's to your bingo card.

Reserve 101 has an impressive whiskey selection and expertly crafted drinks, but the overall experience fell short. The drink menu is fantastic, with a wide variety of options for whiskey lovers. The drinks we ordered were strong and well-made, a definite highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The waitress seemed irritated when we asked questions about the menu, which made us feel unwelcome. This lack of hospitality ultimately led us to leave after just one drink each. While the drinks were excellent, the atmosphere and service didn't match the quality of the bar's offerings. With more welcoming staff, Reserve 101 could easily be a top-notch spot. They have a million different liquors and over 90% of them are whiskey. I think the real number of whiskey bottles is closer to 200 than it is to a million, but I have never seen such a selection. It helps that the bartender I had was an expert in whiskey. I learned so much. They even have tastings once a week if you really were interested in learning more. They made a whiskey drinker out of me with their black cherry manhattan martini and I have never liked whiskey! I have tasted and liked many whiskeys since. Way to go Reserve 101. read more

I prefer drinking whiskey and I am happy that Houston offers a few really decent places, which can impress me. I'm not saying that Reserve 101 is the best, but I have to admit that it is on the way to become just like that! Their staff is friendly, helpful and pretty confident. They always help me to make a right choice and if I hesitate about ordering particular drink/dish thinking it's not for me, they prove me wrong and make my evening! read more

This was my review and this was their response. Notice how they didnt acknowledge the fact that the dog was in there or their policy on it and the fact that the door guy doesnt check everyones ID. So I guess their bar is outside of space and time because im confused how a dog sitting at your bar isnt "mention a single thing about our bar". Does the dog walking through that big ass door all of a sudden not make it your bar ? Enlighten me. read more

I stumbled upon Reserve 101 while exploring downtown Houston on vacation, and I'm so glad I did! The aesthetic immediately caught my eye--definitely a 10/10 vibe. The service and ambiance were just as impressive, and the drinks were top-notch. I tried an espresso martini for the first time, and now I'm a fan for life. I really like this pub. The staff are knowledgeable and accommodating and the feeling is really laid back. They've an excellent martini menu as well as play amazing music! I had my birthday party here and had an absolutely wonderful time plus much later in the evening Reverend Horton Heat came in after his show in the House of Blues which was even a better treat. read more
