Our experience with Respect Movers was great. They were more than willing to accommodate our request to meet us in a city 30 miles away to empty our a storage unit before even starting the move to our house (at a price of course) and I was repeatedly shocked at how quickly they were working! Their pricing was more than reasonable, they didn't complain that we had too much stuff, and we definitely did. Even near the end of the move when we decided to switch room configurations around they disassembled a piece of furniture, moved it and reassembled it for us with no questions asked. Bob and team were the best movers I've had. They moved my roommate and I from a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in West Adams to another 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in Ladera Heights. They showed up on time and read to go. We had started some of the packing the week before but they took care of all of the furniture, wrapped everything in blankets and shrink wrap before loading into their truck. Moving out took about 3.5 hours and moving in took another 3 hours. Wardrobe boxes are included in their price (this helped so much with the closet!) but additional boxes are not included (we actually saved the boxes from our last move and just reused them again!) The cherry on top was that they noticed small things like crooked doors and chipped corners on dressers and offered to fixed them - even though this was damage from our last movers, it certainly wasn't expected of them but it was awesome of them to help us with that. Totally will use them again on my next move, and that was before I found out that they offer a discount for returning customers! read more

I sent a request for a quote around 3am from the Yelp app and I got a response in minutes! Respect Movers had the lowest quote of the 20 movers I contacted. The two movers (Wilson and Kaneshka) arrived early and started working immediately. All the furniture was wrapped in protective plastic. Each individual drawer was wrapped; lamps were disassembled and wrapped, as well. They both worked quickly and carefully. They were really nice guys, to boot. Steep discount if you pay cash. Note: I requested that the move start at 8am. I was given a window of 8-10am. Then a 10am start time was confirmed. I was disappointed but I knew everything would get done. On move day, I get a phone call from the movers at 7:50am. They were at the house. I wasn't! I can't get mad for them being really really early, right? It was just unprepared. read more

Buyers beware! Very typical of these movers to try to bait and switch prices and or to not show up. This is not my first-time experiencing tactics from this type of business's. First off, we called and got a quote for $295 for 3 men and a 24ft truck. later when we called less than a few days the price then went from $295 to $125 an hour or $115 cash, possibly to avoid taxes. ha. regardless then the quote was $125 but a minimum of 4 hours required at this time. when we called to speak to the person who we spoke too they didn't call us back and when kept calling back they did they didn't like that we were questing the prices and said sorry they don't have any availability to help us anyway. The worst part is they have the nerve to tell us sorry this is business. So I guess Bait and Switch is part of the business motto for them. we checked out another moving company and they were professional. Gave us a quote in writing and the details. Be sure you don't get one price, then pay another at the end they may not even show up to help you move. Stressful time when your moving and you don't want to deal with someone to shaft you in my personal opinion. read more

When I emailed them to file a claim they said that the movers said they had no idea what I was talking about. Of course they would say that.
