Restaurant Claudine is one of my favorite special occasion/brunch date spots. It's relatively easy to find parking and make reservations. I typically get the high tea service here - it is one of the most reasonably priced ones in town and great for girls' date; I actually treated my mom to tea this Mother's Day. The rest of the menu is good too - I've had the breakfast stuff and am looking forward to trying the lunch sometime. I want to give the place 5 stars, but the service is lacking here - my table seems to be neglected no matter where I sit and orders have been overlooked where we have to remind the server of them. I also wish they would advertise that their menus are significantly reduced on special days - my mom was hoping to try the muffuletta sandwich and had to switch because the menu didn't have it that day.

Very cute and quiet location in East Broadway area. They have taken an old home and turned it. The food was amazing. The French Onion soup was very rustic ... cheesy, thick and rich broth, and lots of onions. It was a filling lunch on a rainy and cold day. The rest of the table enjoyed the meals ... Bouillabaisse, Coq Au Vin, and muffuletta. The popups were executed well but I am not a fan of the butter. The service was spotty at times but mainly good. She forgot to get drinks or other items twice. When we asked for coffee or espresso, we were told they have no espresso machine and the grinder had been broke for a week. I do plan to go back for Tea Time and the Girls Dinner.

Went here for restaurant week, we arrived early and were able to be sat right away which was nice. The atmosphere is quaint and eclectic and really reminded me of walking into my grandma's house which I'm sure was the point. Food wise the only noteworthy item was the French onion soup which was delicious but in comparison to other French onion soups in the area it wasn't enough to entice me to come back. My shrimp linguine only had 3 shrimps which I'm sure is a standard serving for this restaurant but in comparison to other places the price didn't justify only receiving 3 shrimps. The cocktails were great though! Don't think I'll be coming back due to the price point being too high for what you're getting.

As a 15 year plus downtown resident, this is our backyard. With 30 plus years in the hospitality field (now retired) I feel I can bring you real insight into our locations. The good, the bad and the ugly. If we run across a serious issue, I will always go directly to management and not post it. I truly believe you always must give management an opportunity to correct a serious issue. If not corrected and or just ignored, then I feel it is correct to inform the public - professionally. No establishment is perfect. I will bring to you smaller hiccups we may have come across. I will rarely comment on the taste of food - being bad, as that is a very personal thing. My wife and I disagree on taste of food and wine, no one is wrong or right. Now if the food is on fire, burned, under/overcooked to our requests, that would be mentioned. Found ourselves by the Pearl and checked on the OFFLINE application for nearby places to eat. Claudine on Grayson Street. Ladies you will love this place, not that I didn't enjoy it. The food was great! Most of the customers were lady groups having different types of gatherings. Great place to do this at a tea party theme place. Customer service was good. Then at the end of our meal our server stepped it up, giving us containers for our tea and labeling each container and placing them in a sturdy bag. We ordered two teas and had no idea we both would get PTS OF TEA lol - rookie mistake. A few notes and suggestions. If you go here to have a private conservation about whatever. Not the place. The building doesn't isolate the noise/talk at all. We heard many conversations and a few I wish I could get out of my head! With that said, we suggest lowering the music. It was a bit much with the talking and laughing and then add in the music. Nice touch, just suggest lowering the volume. Pricing, good for this area. A few items they are proud of, one being the $10 small pot of tea. The staff (front of the house as you entered and our server) asked us if this was our first time. Maybe a nice touch would have been when we ordered the tea, to inform us that it's a pot, not a cup. The menu, mmm mmm mmm. The items we ordered just see the pictures! PS flexible with Cindi and accommodating her vegetarian request.

Food was SPECTACULAR. Service from a sweet host was great. He was so nice. Our server was "meh". I've been a server before-- she did not radiate positivity. But she did her job. The restaurant itself was very cozy and when it was full of people it was poppin!

Being a fan of this place, we wanted to give their brunch a try. First off, it is very quaint, located within a former private residence, and easy to access with free parking. You can usually find a spot directly in front of the restaurant. We started with the escargot in butter & garlic, which was excellent! I had the chicken & waffle, which was good, but could have been a little bigger (but with food costs these days, I certainly understand), but it was priced appropriately in my view. My wife had the muffuletta, which was also very good. It did come with a lot of olive tapenade. I suggest requesting that they go 'light' on that. The service was very good, and it was not overly busy. I did have a reservation on OpenTable, but you could have walked right in. It is a good option to get away from the crowd at the nearby Pearl. After brunch, we walked nearby to enjoy a cocktail outside at one of the neighboring places.

I'm a bit torn on this review. Our experience was such a mixed bag of good, okay, and bad. Good: really nice vibe and decor, cornbread was excellent, sweet potato biscuits were great addition, shrimp was seasoned perfectly Okay: drinks, service (although it took about 45 minutes to get our entrees after ordering), fried green tomatoes, Caesar salad Bad: the gumbo was basically gravy, no okra or sausage to be found. For a restaurant with Cajun vibes this was just sad Overall it was a very mediocre meal. I think we would go back and try some other options, we heard brunch is great but won't be at the top of the list.

Absolutely a must-dine for me. It's actually a renovated home so the inside is super cute with fun wallpaper, scones and chandeliers. I ordered the ceasar salad with fries and I will be dreaming about this lunch until the next time I have it. It was THAT good.

I went to Restaurant Claudine as a second resort when Smash'd across the street was closed. It was the best mistake that Smash'd made because Restaurant Claudine is amazing! I was celebrating my nursing school graduation and the server brought us their house champagne which was delicious and fruity. I was craving a burger and the down home burger with shoestring fries on the beautiful white plate was scrumptious! Overall, the ambiance, beauty, service, and delicious food will have me and my friends going back and you should too!

The place was so pretty, it was a little bit tight in space but other than that the food was great!

4.5 Stars. Saving the extra .5 star for tea? They serve trees specials in the afternoon! Michaela, our waitress, deserves 5 stars. Ambiance was amazing, this is a quaint little house turned dining experience. Interior decoration obviously had much thought out into it. See for yourselves!Located in the quirky downtown area and quickly becoming the ever trendiest Grayson Street with street parking. Slow night. Seated immediately, started with some already impressive Earl Gray tea, served with cream and sugar per request. Crab Beignets a little more savory and not as light and fluffy as expected. Champagne vinegar gastrique poured over it tableside was certainly an interesting choice; personally would have preferred something lighter and sweeter. Escargot was delightfully not overly salty or oiled. Moist and good, made excellent when coupled with their freshly baked baguettes. Ruby Trout was pleasantly light, with accompanying succotash and chow chow made for a versatile flavor profile. Pork Chop brined overnight, evenly tender throughout, with Hericot Verts, fancy foreign name for green beans, which added a welcome crispy twang. Not a huge meat piece, but dense so therefore filling. Dessert was Cardamom Cake with a lovely citrus orange taste. Was a little dry, but no real complaints. Price range maybe a tad higher than would make multiple return visits possible, but other than that would be a new favorite. As mentioned before, Michaela provided our dinner with her undivided attention, making our experience one we would love to repeat. Grandma Claudine, as she looks on from behind the hostess stand, would be proud!

The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable. The ambiance was perfect for a special occasion, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed. But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish was an absolute masterpiece, bursting with flavor and creativity. It was truly an exceptional meal. My favorite has to be the scallops!

I absolutely loved the aesthetics -- there was plenty of parking, and when you walk inside, the décor feels classic, elegant, and welcoming. Our server, David, was extremely professional. His knowledge, attentiveness, and overall professionalism made this a really special birthday night for my boyfriend. We appreciated all the recommendations he made. We started with a Tempranillo red wine and a specialty cocktail. For appetizers, we chose the goat cheese salad and the French onion soup. Both were excellent -- the goat cheese salad was fresh and light, with an amazing crunch and flavor from the cheese. I would definitely order it again. The French onion soup was classic but honestly one of the best I've had, with the perfect balance of onion, salt, and cheese. For our mains, we ordered the beef Wellington and the lobster risotto, along with sides of blue cheese cauliflower and scalloped potatoes. The beef Wellington was surprisingly good -- I loved the crisp puff pastry combined with the mushrooms, beef, and sauce. The lobster risotto was chef's kiss -- absolutely delicious. I'm so glad they introduced the new menu because this dish was outstanding. The blue cheese cauliflower tasted good, though I wish the cream sauce had been a bit thicker so it would coat the cauliflower better. The scalloped potatoes, however, were phenomenal. We finished with a slice of strawberry cake that was incredibly moist and reminded me of strawberry ice cream with that nostalgic crumb coating -- really delicious. Overall, we were both extremely happy with our meals and the experience. We'll definitely be back to try more items and highly recommend it!

Our twelve guests ranged in age from 14-79 years, and everyone had a wonderful experience. Due to our large party, we had booked a chef's tasting experience, which was spectacular. The appetizers were plentiful, flavorful, and unique. Overall, I'd say most of the people in our group probably would not go back, but I don't necessarily think that was because the food was bad or lacking flavor. Those were definitely the standout parts of the meal for our group. Some of the dishes in between were a little more questionable for us personally -- we tried everything, but there wasn't necessarily one specific dish we completely fell in love with. That being said, the experience itself was amazing. The atmosphere was so cool and unlike anything we had done before. Being served course after course and getting to experience so many different dishes made the meal feel really unique and memorable. All of the staff members who waited on us were absolutely fantastic and so understanding of some of our questioning looks while trying unfamiliar foods. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the experience feel fun and comfortable from start to finish. If you already love Mediterranean food, this place may be right up your alley. I just think it's good to know what kind of flavor profiles to expect before coming, especially if you're newer to this type of cuisine. Overall, we still had a great time there.
