This is my moms favorite breakfast spot . Authentic Mexican food , the food has a very home made taste to it . The chilaquiles verdes with 2 eggs on top and beans have to be by far my favorite dish. Everything on the menu is pretty delicious and it's not pricey at all . A good 4 person meal , drinks included your looking at like $40 . The place is small and family owned which I love. It's not crazy and loud. I've been here a few times with my family and on a few dates with my bf. The food has been GREAT every single time. Wonderful!!! A truly "Hidden GEM" The food was exquisite. My husband and I went there for dinner and we had: Agua de Horchata, Agua de Jamaica, Gorditas de barbacoa as an appetizer, Chicken breast with mole verde, Bistek con Mole de los dioses as entrees, and we finished off with cafe de hoya. The gorditas were super fresh, the meat was perfectly marinated and tender. Nice portion size, 2 gorditas can actually be enough as an entree itself. The chicken and green mole was very, very good. The green mole has a tangy, a bit spicy flavor that goes very well with the chicken, the rice, and the thinly sliced grilled veggies that come with the plate. The bistek was very good too. The mole de los dioses has stronger aromas and flavor typical of darker, roasted moles. Both dishes were finger licking good :) The cafe de hoya was the perfect way to end our meal. This coffee is best as is, black. I would not recommend adding cream/milk to it. It has a cinnamon taste that is very delicate, and it is already sweet. We will be definitely coming back! read more

Wow words can hardly describe how delicious Rocio's Mole de los Dioses is. I have enjoyed many moles from various regions of Mexico and she has nailed it . . Every plate is made to order and presented beautifully the restaurant is small but beautifully decorated and immaculate. If you are looking for simple plain Mexican food this is not the place! but, if you are open to spice's, an array of flavor textures aromas then this is the place for you. I am from Mexican parents and been to Mexico many times I am quite aware of what Mexican food looks and taste like and she has captured it. My friend kept ranting and raving about this place. Finally I was able to try it myself. She took me there to have dinner last night. Small piece of Oaxaca in Maywood. I had a wonderful time. The company was great, the service was good, the music was cheerful and the food was superb. I had the cochinita pibil. It was my first time trying it. I really enjoyed it. We also had crickets as appetizers. They only bring them out for the people who ask for them. We had tortillas made by hand. They kind of reminded me of the ones I've had in Rosarito. Wow, I was very impressed with this place. This place is TINY, I drove right past it twice. It's tucked away on an industrial street with many warehouses, and you have to park on the street. I honestly did not want to come here to begin with. My insecurities were proven right when the waitress shrugged at a simple glance of watching my family and I come in through the door. We were not attended for a good 6 minutes and while we began ordering, a group of people walked in and she went over to their table to attend to them. She came over 2 minutes after to finish taking down our orders. There were no napkins and utensils on our table. We had to remind the attendant to bring them over. I ordered an enchilada dish with chicken and what was brought to me was an enchilada dish with shrimp. I am allergic! I called the waitress over about my order and she said that the ordering mistake was not her fault. Bad service. Bad atmosphere. Fin. I literally feel there was race favoritism. My family is colored and the group that walked in was Caucasian. That's just the way I see it. read more

Was not happy with food...food was too cold and tasted old. I came here cause it was recommended to me and i was not happy and not coming back. I am Mexican and came from 100% authentic Mexican cooking and this is not close....those of your who like it must obviously not be Mexican. Second I was not happy with appearance of chef her hands were dirty and had bad odor breath. My silverware was dirty. I am a food lover and these moles were not appetizing. I got food poisoning and was sick for two days. The people that gave positive comments must of been given free food or paid to write this. read more

This place is very cozy. Don't mind the industrial area. Food is really great. Had the green chilakiles, spicy but not too much fire just enough to enhance the flavor. Went there today had the chicken mole poblano enchiladas they were pretty good wasn't sold on the refried beans. I don't give it all the 5 stars because it is not a 5 stars restaurant, it is a small, family owned, 20 people, inside a converted house restaurant, but the food is AMAZING. I love it! Great place! This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in a very long time. When we parked we thought to ourselves, hmmm, but decided to try it anyway. The food was incredible and we have been back to this little gem 4 times in 1 month. We had the cheese enchiladas with mole.
