In order for your burger to be as good as possible, it has to be on a Martin's Potato Bun. The white American cheese Softies uses melts better than any cheese I have ever had on a burger. My Wife made the comment and I agreed, the way the cheese melts along with the grilled onions makes this better taste like a cheesesteak during some bites. The pickles are also really really good. The combo of grilled onions, sauce, pickles and melted cheese would be great on almost any burger however; the way in which Softies preps the pickles, the cheese they use and the cook of the patties makes the perfect burger. What really added to the meal were the fries and the limonada. Most places you get a really really good burger or really really good fries. Softies have both. The fries were hot, crispy and contained a really good seasoning. The limonada is made in house and accompanied the meal really well. This place is located on USC's campus. So the atmosphere is great. The employees were really nice and seem to be genuinely happy. Service was also quick, especially for it being packed on a gameday.

The private dinner parties are hosted in Chef Aaron's back yard. It is a very adorable back yard. He has a nice little garden that is just off to the side of the dinner table, and as it turns out a lot of the ingredients come from that garden. The concept of small garden to table and to be able to see the garden that your food comes from as you eat is wonderful and really adds to a great culinary experience. As it turns out Chef Aaron bases his menus of of what is local and in season, so with that in mind i wont go into what the dishes where as you most likely wont have the same meal. Chef Aaron truly is an amazing talent. Every dish he served us was not only beautiful put together and visually stunning he really does know how to construct a perfectly balanced dish that flow seamlessly into the next course. Along with his ability to server amazing dishes he knows exactly what wine too serve with his food. In our 6 courses we where poured 3 different wines and i now have 3 new favorite wines. There is only one Puerto Rican restaurant in LA and a take out operation all in the San Fernando Valley.
