It's located in the USC village. If you are looking for a smash burger, this is your place. I really like the crispy edges. If you like mushrooms.. you have to try the shroom burger! It was amazing. It's a burger with a crispy tempura battered enoki mushroom. You can also order it without the beef patty. All the flavors of the sauce, cheese, mushroom and meat blended very well. The fries were a little over cooked but still good. I didn't get the cashiers name (Asian guy who goes to USC.. not sure if that helps lol).. I wish I did because he was super friendly and had great customer service. When we came in (It was a Thursday around noon) we were only the second one in line but then a flood of students came in.. about a line of 20, so we got super lucky. The food came over pretty fast as well. I will definitely come back when coming to visit. If you've never been here... you must go and try it!!

Husband and wife team, Fred & Nyesha, are personable and great people! Now, here's are my favorites: pork ribs, brisket and OMG! The Beef Rib is AMAZING when it's available! (I think the beef rib is most available on weekends but I keep hope alive during the week. You might get lucky. LOL). Tender meats and never dry. The rub they use (Fred's own recipe) is perfect. I always get my bbq sauce on the side because I don't like my meats drenched or swimming in sauce. The sauce is their own and it's good too but the thing for me with BBQ is when it's REALLY good, you don't need any sauce. This BBQ is THAT BBQ if you feel me. lol. My favorite sides are the greens, beans and Mac and cheese. Oh yeah! And the peach cobbler is a TASTY treat! All homemade delectables! Also, their daughter's Hibiscus Punch is good too! The only drawback is when you are fiendin' like an addict for their food, you have to wait until one of their business days to get it. lol. They are in different locations during the week (but the upside is that they are regularly at their weekly locations - UCLA, Westchester, and USC and usually a Saturday in View Park). But they are only at the locations from 12 noon to 2pm (lunch). Makes me crazy when I forget the day that's most convenient for me or I get busy and not gonna get there in time. I just so happen saw it on Tock and thought I'd try it out because the menu sounded good and we want to support our local businesses as much as we can! Chef Aaron is without question a talented chef!!! We appreciated every amount of thought and creativity to put a meal like this together, on top of that making sure it is easy to prepare at home and still taste good! The quality of ingredients were top notch and the flavors were robust and perfection! The menu we had tonight is below. I'm not a gazpacho or melon fan but both dishes surprised me and we really enjoyed it. I also really liked the mushroom eggplant appetizer, and the Osso Bucco was wow! I could've just licked the au jus from the plate if I wasn't so full! Portions are very generous and the kits are very reasonably priced!! We will definitely try his other take out kit menus and once restaurants reopen and this whole COVID situation is under control, we will for sure be dining at his location! The private dinner parties are hosted in Chef Aaron's back yard. It is a very adorable back yard. He has a nice little garden that is just off to the side of the dinner table, and as it turns out a lot of the ingredients come from that garden. The concept of small garden to table and to be able to see the garden that your food comes from as you eat is wonderful and really adds to a great culinary experience. As it turns out Chef Aaron bases his menus of of what is local and in season, so with that in mind i wont go into what the dishes where as you most likely wont have the same meal. Chef Aaron truly is an amazing talent. Every dish he served us was not only beautiful put together and visually stunning he really does know how to construct a perfectly balanced dish that flow seamlessly into the next course. Along with his ability to server amazing dishes he knows exactly what wine too serve with his food. In our 6 courses we where poured 3 different wines and i now have 3 new favorite wines. Chef Aaron served me the absolute best dinner i have ever had, and when that was paired with the cozy back yard setting and the fun of a small dinner party it made for an unforgettable experience i can not wait to come back and see what magic Chef Aaron has cooked up!!

I visited the inaugural pop-up event at Seoul Sausage in Downtown LA which was recommended to me by my cousin in PDX. You'll choose from a short menu of appetizers to main dishes such as the pernil asado (slow roasted pork) and the arroz con gandules (yellow rice with pigeon peas) to dessert. There is only one Puerto Rican restaurant in LA and a take out operation all in the San Fernando Valley. The chef for the evening, Ricky Hwang, is preparing to open a new spot in Little Tokyo this fall. I'll be on the lookout for that! The food was all delicious. I thought the flavor of the yuzu panna cotta was perfect, but it needed more time to set. The Yam Sam O (pomelo salad) was my favorite dish. It was bright and delicate with tender scallops.

SERVICE They are all so nice and organized. They have everyone's order laid out on their computer and all of the bags are prepped with identification. After you check in with them, you just wait for them to text you back to pick up your order. They are efficient. The wait is minimal but you still get food that is made-to-order fresh. LOCATION The current spot beside Idyllic coffee is really fun and relaxed.
