This used to be my favorite breakfast spot. Till today. I always get the same thing. Kitchen sink. With eggs soft scrambled, sausage and blueberry lemon crepe. Today my eggs were scrambled hard, sausage so overdone you could not cut with a fork and the crepe was thick, gummy and tough and the lemon was not tart and was curdled. Not to mention the waitress who was too busy chatting at a table that was not even hers that she had to be asked three times to attend to my husband's eggs which were ordered over medium but came out cooked hard which you could see without cutting into them. Never once were we asked if everything was ok even though our breakfast was 90% uneaten. Terrible food and service. Won't be going back to this location. read more

A decent representation of the franchise. Although a lot of tables were open, I guess they were understaffed, because it took 17 minutes for me to be seated. The table I was given had just been cleaned and covered with standing water (see my photo of the sheen). Thereafter, the pacing of the meal was much faster. I ordered the shrimp and grits and added a single blueberry pancake on the side. The shrimp and grits had a great proportion of delicious roux filled with shrimp (small but plentiful) and andouille sausage with that perfect signature flavor. It was topped with a poached egg and served with a perfectly flaky biscuit. The pancake they delivered was equally tasty, although it looked rough - broken surface and irregularly shaped and much browner on the bottom than the top, but it was nice. There was plenty of jam on the table for the biscuit. Service was okay, and I had to get a straw from a nearby supply table and getting refills and the payment processed was a tad slow. read more

The food here is always good, and usually consistent. Sometimes there are fun and interesting specials. The servers are quick and friendly. The prices are fair, and in line with national price trends. My only gripe is that the front of the house hostess stand is run by young kids. When you walk in, there's always a wait, with many tables open. The kids always say "5 to 10 mins wait" often, this turns into a 20-25 min wait. If this is the case, say it! There's no excuse to let a table sit dirty for 20 mins while people are waiting to sit. Restaurants these days overlook the importance of a competent hostess staff, and this place is no different. Pacing, flipping, and re-setting tables is a KEY to success of a restaurant. To ownership and management- Please figure this out and your restaurant will improve! And you'll get my final star. . This is a very cute and quaint breakfast diner off Matt Hwy. The pros by far are the customer service. Everyone is so friendly and the servers do an amazing job keeping your glass full. For that alone, I would revisit. I tried this place twice because it's not far from home and the prices are so reasonable but the kitchen missed the mark for me both times. The first time, I ordered the French toast special and it was barely edible. The sugar coating was hard to chew and other places were burnt pretty badly. I muscled through because I didn't want to send it back. The second visit I decided to try the Lemon & Blueberry crepe. The crepe itself was microwaved from a precooked package. The texture was tough and did not taste fresh. The lemon filling was almost too much and very overpoweringly sweet. The blueberry inside were raw fresh blueberries but not incorporated. Needless to say, I was disappointed with my meal a second time. But my server at the counter was such a gem, I tipped 100%. This would be a 2-star review but the amazing employees bump it up an additional star. read more

Great service and the food was excellent. Nice and clean very efficient set up. Good came out quicker than we expected which was very good. I had the Kitchen Sink with eggs over medium and the chef got it right without a problem. Also comes with one sweet cake or French toast I opted for the sweet cake. Very good and tasted wonderful. My wife had the Gravy and Biscuits along with scrambled eggs, and Gouda grits. Everything was good my wife said she had a hard time tasting the Gouda in the grits. I want to give this place a better rating, but I have to give it a 3 for now. They were busy on a Sunday after church, and it took a while to get seated, which was understandable. The place is cute, the decor is on the industrial side. They were preparing for Valentine's Day and had special menu items, some that could be ordered that day and some only on February 14th, which was fun. We were a party of four and ordered four different dishes. The grits were great, everyone enjoyed them and I especially liked my chai latte. The biggest issue we had was that everything was just shy of warm; cold-ish pancakes and eggs (especially the eggs benedict with cool hollandaise sauce) were not great. That being said the flavors were on point.. We hope this was just a fluke and we will be giving it another try later. read more

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday at 9am. We didn't wait for a table and we were quickly greeted by the most friendly server. We placed our order and the food came out quick. The pimento omelette was good but there wasn't much pimento cheese on either omelette. The grits were excellent as a side. I would come back but I would try something else. Everyone who works here has been so amazing and kind and that makes a huge difference and brightens your day! Their orange juice is AH-mazing and worth it to try at least once. If you like coffee they have different little creamers you can use and make espresso drinks as well. Food! Who doesn't appreciate a good French toast? We had to try the mystical and it did not disappoint. Perfect blend of crunchy and gooey with plenty of sweetness. I almost didn't want to share. We have also had the biscuit and gravy, the peanut butter banana sweet cakes, the kitchen sink, and an omelette! Everything has been so good. The gravy is pretty darn good and we all know that's a make or break menu item in the south! They a have a whole page of non breakfast items too which is nice. . I got the avocado toast. It was very good. Best grits I've ever had in my life and I usually don't like grits. The corn beef hash was also amazing, and the chicken fajita omelette was awesome, probably one of the best omelettes I've ever had at a restaurant. The banana Nutella crepe was not that great, the crepe was too firm than what I'm used to. Thankfully there was barely a wait when we went and the server was quick and friendly. They have seasonal offerings too- I loved their special pancakes in December!! I believe they have lunch type foods available too. Even though it was a Monday, the main dining area was almost full. The wait staff was quick and attentive in taking our order and checking on us through the meal. The eggs Benedict was awful. Eggs were basically raw. Hollandaise sauce was broken. English muffin was soggy and it was all drowning in sauce and raw egg. I tried to eat it and felt ill after. Took my daughter for a mother-daughter brunch date. She rated it a 9.9!! Absolutely loved it and wants to go every weekend.
