Chocolate martini

We loved this place! Party of 5 and we ordered Nashville hot chicken, Crab cakes, Pretzel bites, a chocolate martini and a few other things. It was all fantastic! Service was great too. Very comfortable and casual, but very nice atmosphere.

Brussels sprouts and crab cake

We really appreciated that we were able have normal-volume conversations while eating a delicious meal with (muted) TVs and quiet music overheaded. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich, smash burger, fries, and steak flatbread were all appreciated. The crab cake wasn't life changing, but the roasted Brussels sprouts were pretty good. We parked in the Hilton garage next door and didn't try any alcoholic drinks.

Pasta aglio e olio with grilled chicken and Texas toast

After walking by this place dozens of times, I decided to come here for lunch on a Thursday. My lunch was the aglio e olio pasta with grilled chicken. The pasta had nice that nice rich olive-oil flavor with just enough heat to it. (I probably would have used an angel hair or other thinner pasta than the thick spaghetti noodles, but it wasn't bad.) The chicken that came with it was ok, just wish it had had more flavor or seasoning with it. The garlic toast that came with it was very nice. The lady serving (I seated at the bar) that day was pleasant and attentive. Great restaurant and would be happy to come back and try some other items.

Excellent hangout for breakfast located right downtown by the Market Square. The interior is big and modern, super clean and cool with high ceilings and big windows for light. Our server was exceptional throughout the meal, and super friendly. One of us ordered the meat frittata and the other french toast. It was all good.

Salmon BLT (it comes open faced)

I organized a work lunch at Revel for a group of 15. I worked with Abbey and she was absolutely fantastic! Our actual lunch was great! When we arrived, Revel was not busy at all and they had a little section of the restaurant closed off for us to all sit together. It was a mixture of booths and tables which was fine. We started off by ordering a few portions of the crispy brussel sprouts. They have shaved Parmesan, salt, pepper, and a balsamic drizzle. They were absolutely addicting! For my lunch, I ordered the salmon BLT which came with fries. The portion size was perfect for lunch. The only reason I knocked off a star is because they were out of some ingredients that were needed to make some of the dishes our group wanted to order. So they had to order alternate options. Other than that, we had a great experience overall with the restaurant itself, the staff, and the food.

Short Rib Quesadilla

Stopped in for a quick dinner after a late night in the office. Great location just off of market square. I had a beer and the short rib quesadilla (which is an app but I had it as my meal). Both were fantastic. Vibe is upscale and modern but the prices are reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely add this to my regular drop in rotation.

I know this is a new place, so I didn't expect the food to be standout. But, I was actually quite pleasantly surprised. The food really was quite great. Much better, in my opinion, than the restaurant that used to be here (Walnut Grill). I had the fish and chips with ranch and the brownie works for dessert. The fish and chips was really good. The fish was crispy and still moist on the inside. Good amount of breading. A little soggy in a few spots but could have been delivery. Seasoning was okay. It also came with fries, which were a generous portion and good in their own right, and coleslaw which was just okay (not too flavorful and a tiny portion). But the fish n chips itself was a great portion. Ranch was also good. The brownie works dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Also a great portion, very chocolatey throughout with some nice slabs of chocolate. Wish there was a little more whipped cream to balance it. All in all, really quite impressed with this place. Excited to see how they do in the future!

Our go-to big group brunch spot strikes again! We love bringing friends to Revel when they visit because they can always accommodate a big group & serve great food at really affordable prices. This visit, I decided to try their breakfast sandwich. While it doesn't sound like anything fancy, it was delicious! The egg was runny, the Gruyère was melty, and the peppercorn aioli was really flavorful. I also am a huge fan of breakfast potatoes, and these were top notch. In addition to food, the mimosa carafes are a great deal for a big group & the servers are on top of keeping them filled. The location right off Market Square makes it a great spot to start your day & then explore the area. Definitely check it out! Food: A- Drinks: A- Service: A- Ambiance: B+

I came here for a friend's birthday brunch on Sunday afternoon at 1pm. My friend had made reservations beforehand for 10 people. I got there a few minutes before 1pm and waited for several minutes for someone to come to the host stand. It took so long that I finally went into the restaurant and inquired about the host and was told that they would be out in a few minutes. When the host finally appeared, they told us that they had to go prepare our table so we waited a few more minutes. We finally were seated and the rest of the party trickled in. It took quite some time to take our food orders and I had to prompt the staff to do so. It also took quite some time for the food to come out and for the staff to come with our checks and that was with several members of the party inquiring about it. Thankfully they had a QR code on the receipt so I could pay my bill online immediately. Other members of the party opted to pay with their physical cards which they later regretted because it took so long to get them back. I got there a few minutes before 1pm and didn't leave until a couple of minutes past 3pm. Most of the party ordered one dish and one drink so I was confused why it took so long for everything. I will also note that the restaurant was never packed and towards the end of our visit the only other people there were two other small parties in the fairly large space. The food itself seemed to be fine overall. I got the brisket Benedict with breakfast potatoes. The breakfast potatoes were very good with good flavor. The brisket was bland and I couldn't finish it even though I hate wasting food. I tried my friend's chicken from her chicken and waffles and the chicken was juicy with a crispy outside. The space itself is fairly large and lends itself to large parties. The restaurant is also located steps away from Market Square. Another positive is that they were able to do separate checks for our party which was very convenient. Overall, while the staff was friendly enough, it took longer than it should have for our visit so I wouldn't go if you have to be somewhere else on time.

Came here for just a drink and an app. They have a decent size bar, I wish it was a tad bigger as I could imagine it fills up at night. The bartenders were all nice and attentive. They have a nice happy hour menu that even includes weekends which is hard to find! The Brussel sprouts were plentiful and had all the right flavors! During October they have a cocktail of the day and it's all pumpkin themed. I want to come back to try more! I ate here years ago and remember it being good so I will have to come back for dinner soon!

Creation , bourbon espresso martini

Definitely recommend. Good food and great service. Our server was terrific , creates unique and incredible drinks, and as a bonus looks like the lead singer of Led Zeppelin

LOVED our dinner at this place…read more We came here for dinner while visiting Pittsburgh. The first thing that struck me was the interior decor. Very industrial and moody with an open kitchen/preparation area that adds some intrigue. I do like to see the happenings of what's going on as someone with zero attention span. Service was excellent. George was fantastic. He kept a close eye on us without being overbearing. He anticipated what we might need so we didn't spend one second waiting to order anything. The menu is not endless or overwhelming which, presumably, allows them to focus on the items that are listed. I have decision panic so it was kinda nice to have less things to choose from. They asked if there were any allergies or dietary restrictions so I mentioned my vegetarianism. George went through the menu and pointed out the vegetarian options including what seems like it is vegetarian but isn't. They had TWO vegetarian entree options and fortunately the non-mushroom one was something I probably would have ordered anyway: pesto with walnuts, arugula, and a very generous amount of grated cheese. To start, I ordered the Brussels sprouts whichc I was warned had fish sauce. This was fine but nothing that blew me away. GF, on the other hand, loved this. GF ordered the wedge which was brought to our attention as vegetarian with the bacon on the side, which was her request. We ended up sharing both, a large part of that was because hers came out first and I couldn't wait but I'm so glad because the wege was FANTASTIC. The dressing? holy fuck pure ecastasy. The wedge was more like a filet shape which was much easier to eat. Who decided on the wedge shape anyway? The lettuce was so fresh and crisp and went wonderfully with that orgasmic dressing and breadcrumbs. Back to my pasta. Also delectable. Noodles were al dente. The sauce was creamy and packed that pesto umami flavor. The walnuts were a really nice contrast in texture. Everything about it absolutely fucking slapped. GF ordered the mushroom entree which came served on a bed of barley which, don't mind if I do, had a few forkfuls to "sample" for "my review". Again, so fucking good. Because it was my birthday, George provided a dessert (yuzu maybe?) that was served inside a meringue-esque igloo, creamy perfect balance of sweet and tart custard with some berry business underneath. Wonderful. I almost forgot their spectacular cocktails! Holy shit, literally they have a CORN CHIP cocktail that I could not pass up. It comes with two massive cornchips on top of a flavored foam. When you bring the glass up to sip, the cornchips are right in front of your nose and their aroma sets the stage for the drink which was STRONG. It wasn't as corn chip forward as I expected but I understand that flavor is probaly hard to create. For my second drink, I ordered the blue one which was refreshing, light, and really good. GF ordered a spritz which was gorgeous "it was good". For second round, I picked out some uranium thing that was very cucumbery, GF says, "it was good". I just read it outloud to her. "it's true!" Fantastic meal at a great place.

Decor was impeccable, service was top notch, and the food was solid. Wasn't the biggest fan of the…read moreseasoning of the half chicken, but the cook on the chicken was perfect. We celebrated our 10yr anniversary here for dinner & it was definitely worth it. Unblemished ambiance & service. We were at the restaurant side- very chic & intimate. They have a casual tavern area along the bar on the other side. And an upstairs section. When you look up, there's an entire wall of huge wine selection. For cocktails we had the Cosmopolitan & Strawberry Smash-- both prepared great! Cosmos are usually a hit/miss situation for me; this was really good though- not too tart nor sweet-- very well balanced w/ a mild hint of vodka coming through, which after a few sips hits you in a nice, soft way. Husb said the Strawberry Smash was bangin!!-- the sibona amaro in it stabilized the fruitiness of the drink. For apps, we ordered the Calamari- it was soooo good & crispy/crunchy, I had to prevent myself from stuffing everything in my mouth! I was a bit sad I had to share this w/ my husb lol. It came with a hot & sour sauce w/ lemon which overall made the dish unique. For entree, I had the Scottish Salmon, came w/ scallops & I added crab cake to it. Succulent salmon was seared w/ great flavor, the sweet corn & pepper mixed in a tomato vinaigrette on the side under the scallops was just unbelievable. The crab cake was cut squared, hands down one of the best cakes. The flavor profile for the entire dish together in a bite was incomparable!! Definitely order this. Husb ordered the Gerber Farms Chicken, amish chicken served w/ risotto, greens on top of thyme jus (akin to a thin gravy). The chicken was cooked well-- juicy on the inside & a nice roast on the outside; the risotto wasnt heavy & didn't weigh the meal down, the thyme jus's flavor was subtle & it elevated the entire dish. For dessert, we got the Chocolate Hazelnut tart & Eleven Candy bar. I legit relished & inhaled the tart despite already being so full. Husb loved the Candy bar. A huge slice of brownie/caramel candy bar w/ chocolate mousse phew! The pics explain how mindblowin' everything was! A real one-of-a kind experience. Ron was great in explaining everything too. Taxes they add to the bill: sales, alcohol & Allegheny tax which raises the end charge. A toast to the chefs & Mixologists here.

My experiences have not been high-end, perhaps more "tinfoil" than sapphire, to say the least....see below. That being said, it's proven to be a very middling experience each time, especially from a service standpoint. Each time has had mysterious delayed times to get waited upon, receive food and drinks, and every time has featured a mysterious disappearing item that we had to politely "remind" the server about after receiving the bill. On this occasion, we were offered to still receive a missing drink even though it was incredibly clear that we were ready to leave. One time, sure, but all three visits have had issues. This time, when the final bill was corrected, the math didn't seem to make sense - removing a $14 drink and the total came out $5 less. I'm being candid in saying instead of even dealing with the server once more, their tip corrected the discrepancy - no issues in dealing with the situation in that manner, given the sub-par service. Unacceptable and frustrating to have 3/3 times experiencing significant service issues. Food-wise, it's a solid "4" rating - salads have all been great, the dishes we'd recommend are the black cod and the short ribs. Good selection of semi-local beer and extensive wine list. It was noted that the menu had "changed" with the season, but the overall menu was 80% the same with some very subtle modifications - all over a two-year period. First time we went here, we sat at the tables above the bar area, and unfortunately there was a very bar-like smell that could be experienced throughout the meal (imagine having fine dining at the Rock Room on Polish Hill) - thankfully these other two times have been in the main dining area, on nights that haven't been very busy (adding to the frustration regarding the service notes above). Honestly, this is a legacy restaurant here in Pittsburgh, it's a shame that newer places with great food + service have a hard time launching in this environment.

I called in advance to check and see if there was a certain dress code required ( because we were outdoors in athletic clothes) and came here on a whim. Jeff the hostess was kind and inviting telling us none was required. So we went. ! I assumed we were going to pay around $150-200 for dinner because I checked the menu beforehand and the prices were high, but if the food was good , we don't care about pricing. I'd pay anything for a good steak. I ordered the NY strip, with a side of creamed spinach cooked medium rare.. it was delicious! The food was well seasoned and my steak temp was right on the money.. my husband and son ordered burgers ( medium) for my husband, (medium well) for my son. My son got the side Mac n cheese( noodles were cooked perfect al dente) and seasoned well. Cheese sauce was tasty also. My husband got fries and they were crispy, and well seasoned. The food WAS delicious! Here is the reason I gave them 3 stars.. the cleanliness of the dining room was my MAIN issue.. I feel that if I am paying $70 for a steak there is NO reason I should be looking at smudged , dusty mirrors on the wall with obvious finger prints on them . The mirrors looked like they haven't been properly cleaned in months. Also there was someone's greasy finger prints right behind my husbands head on the booth he was sitting at. I clean for a living, and I am very detail oriented at my job.. on Amazon you can buy a 5 pack of window squee-gees and with a few sprays of glass cleaner and a few downward swipes your mirrors/glass is streak free in under 30 seconds. And greasy finger prints on a leather booth headrest makes no sense to me.. spray and wipe it.. when I see details like this in the dining room that are unkept.. it then makes me wonder if the kitchen is dirty and unkept also... and wonder if MY $70 steak is being prepped and handled in a clean kitchen...??? This is my concern.. the dinner bill came close to $200 and Sabrina our waitress was wonderful and we tipped her approx 30-40 % .. but it's a bummer that the food tasted so good but the dining room was untidy. Put as much effort into cleaning the dining room as the chefs are putting into the yummy food !
