Excellent! I don't usually give 5 stars but this was top notch! Warm and cozy, cool aesthetic. We ordered the cheese fries fondue and omg I'm gonna be thinking about those cheese fries forever! Perfection! I ordered the burger on gluten free bun which was the best gluten free bun I've ever had. Side salad was fresh and so good! My husband ordered the friend chicken sandwich and soup and was super impressed as well. The soup was matzoh ball soup and it was so savory and delicious! I found myself wondering what the secret seasonings were so I could replicate. Highly recommend this place! Also while they were there the staff was doing a taste testing which we thought was cool. Venue is quite nice - bar area and indoor seating have a cool vibe. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. We had the frites and fondue and the beef, and they were both bland. Multiple visits: 3/10. Every server seems like they just woke up and took too much Xanax and Ativan. Come for the mediocre food, stay for the absolutely comical poor service. Like watching a sitcom but somehow you're paying for it and it's not that enjoyable. Any Brad, Chad, or Bret have made a better Bloody Mary (and they don't even like Bloody Mary's). I have eaten here a number of times already and each experience has been absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is great and lends a lot to a great dining experience. I have sat at the bar, at the communal table, at a table, and the weird booth on the side. All seats are great, but the weird booth makes it difficult to hear people in your party. The service is friendly and attentive. B&V does everything right. Now, the food. To die for. If my last meal were at Barley and Vine, I would die a happy woman. Wow! I'm a pretty big foodie out of San Diego passing through Bozeman and had gotten some restaurant suggestions for the 2 nights I was here. First night I went to Urban Kitchen and the bartender recommended this place and said it was pretty new. I wasn't totally sold on coming but after the end of the day when it was time to decide and I surfed through a ton of highly ranked places I decided screw it and came here. So glad I did! Great intimate environment, smaller restaurant with one long communal table in the middle. I had the green goddess salad that I never imagined would be as good as it was. I was just trying to get some health in me. Get this salad! The flavor is unreal and worth it! I could have eaten 10 of them! For my entree I got the salmon and as boring as it looked when it came out, holy moly the flavor! Probably one of the best pieces of salmon I have had. Cooked perfectly and not one bit dry and the soba noodles combined, wow! 5 stars people! And the portions aren't huge to where you feel too full to enjoy 3 courses and each course is reasonably priced for its size. I decided to try my luck again and go for dessert and got the peanut butter Pot de Creme, winner again! First time having lunch at Revelry, and it was superb. Started with a beautiful glass of Oregon Pinot Noir. Their wine menu is lovely. I had Mikes Pastrami sandwich, and it was incredibly delicious..toasted to perfection with melted cheese and tender Pastrami. I also had a bite of the House Burger, which was again, delicious. BUMMER: Our first time in since their opening. Unfortunately, the two hostesses (one of which is a manager) were not friendly upon our arrival & when we asked to be seated in a small booth, they said no because they 'might' be taken, so instead we were seated at a TINY table right next to a table of 4 others. We were the only 2 tables in the section for quite some time. The booth we asked for next to us remained open the whole time we were there. We had an uncomfortable dinner trying to hear one another over extremely loud music and the family next to us, who we're having to shout to be heard as well--makes absolutely no sense during covid times and made us feel so uncomfortable since there were other great seating options in the section! We would have liked to hunker in and enjoy a little nook and conversation to enjoy our meal for longer, but instead we got in and got out--the food we ordered (a burger and a pizza) barely fit on our table. The icy service from these two women when we have so many other choices in Bozeman, where plenty of friendly staff await us (and when we finally decide to go out for dinner during these times) ensures that next time we heard out, we will skip Revelry (sadly because the waiter & others were very nice and the burger was lovely). Customer service is everything. You'd better nail it during these times if you want to stay busy; instead it felt like both of their first jobs in the restaurant industry and they wouldn't budge--no apology as they kept walking past our table, no eye contact, nothing; a Serious lack of skills & a Very immature understanding of working with people. Being friendly and accommodating guests, ESPECIALLY when not busy is easy to do and I suggest to the owner that he or she has a review session with the front desk if you'd like to hold on in Bozeman, take it from a local of 46 years.
