the food and coffee deserved 5 stars, but the service was not ideal. we sat outside, as there was a 3 hour wait for inside. we were told outdoor seating was a 30 minute wait, we ended up waiting about an hour. they were out of the coffee we originally wanted, but what we had (s'mores hot chocolate w/ espresso) was still delicious. if you sit outside, dress very warm. sandwiches were delicious and filling. read more

Coffee is decent but service is bad. I asked for an Americano with less water (Italiano) the Spanish girl gave me the dirtiest look, like what are you talking about. And then she was trash talking me after I ordered. The guy barista knew what I wanted. The girl is either hard of hearing or just shouldn't work in customer service. Such a bad attitude. My wife asked for a bear latte art and she couldn't understand and was rude taking the order. In the end, my wife didn't get her bear latte art. If the owner is reading this, retrain your employees or hire someone that wants to work in customer service. There are plenty of other coffee shops in Ridgewood! read more

The staff is rude and do not have any concern for customer service. The place is too small but they permit people to pack themselves in making movement impossible. If there was ever a fire I fear the outcome. We walked in on a Sunday morning and asked for a table and the person at the counter said it would be a half hour wait, even the seats at the window were taken, so we ordered our food to go. Two women who were seated at a table invited us to come over as they were leaving. We sat down and the two women who were sitting at the window counter walked over to the cashier and the next thing we knew we were told to Get Up so these two could have the table. I said if they were waiting for a seat then they should not have taken available seating to wait but everyone shrugged their shoulders and said nothing! RUDE!!!! Don't waste your time with this place where the price is inflated for subpar product. read more

I LOVE this coffee shop! The vibe is so welcoming right when you walk in. I came with my 9 month old baby and sometimes worry that I won't be so welcomed into facilities while I have a baby with me. The barista took time to make this sweet art in my coffee - a mama and baby bear. The coffee was DELICIOUS and straight from my home country of Colombia. I've also had their almond croissant, an arepa, and a few other things on their menu and everything was so so good. I highly recommend this spot. Also recommend reserving a table if you plan to go on weekends as they get super busy. read more

So I want to start out by saying that me and my husband have been here a few time in the early part of the morning. We love the coffee and food is great. But today they had there intire family over and there service suck. First they rushed me out then the waitress who was to busy talking to her family took my plate of food always while my daughter was at the table and i was getting something at the counter. Never made it right I am very disappointed with them we drive 30 mins to get to this places and not sure if it's worth it anymore. My husband and I have been here 20+ times and truly love the food and coffee, but the service is awful. It's happened multiple times that our drinks are made wrong and they look at us telling us it's what we ordered and get personally offended when we tell them it's wrong. The wait is also extremely long. You cannot just pop in for a coffee. It takes 10/20 mins of waiting on a drink which as I said, has ended up being wrong more than once. The baked pastries are great to start with and all the breakfast options are great. This place is so adorable inside and the coffee tasted delicious! However, my friends and i waited close to two hours before we finally were able to sit down. We were told the wait would only be 40 mins to an hour so we were a bit disappointed. The lack of communication between the customers and the staff members furthermore made our experience not so pleasant. We were told that the kitchen was closing and we may not be able to eat, which was very disappointing considering we waited so long. But when we asked a different staff member we were told we would be able to eat. In general, we were given different instructions from different staff members. I understand that they were busy, but I felt uncomfortable and uninformed overall. After finally being told our table was ready, we had to wait another half hour before sitting down. We were told to pay for our food and drinks before sitting at our table and simply paying for our food took about a half hour. Regarding the coffee, the coffee itself was delicious. However, I got the dulce de leche flavoring which I could not taste in the coffee. The creamy rich coffee definitely made up for the lack of sweetness. For food, I got the vegetarian sandwich which was mediocre. I really want to give this place another chance. It has so much potential! read more

I spent the day meandering through the Ridgewood area today & found this cafe on yelp. Many reviews mention how Instagram-worthy this spot is. It is adorable. I ordered a latte & the alto del rey & took a window seat to people watch. I did partake of the fruit infused water while waiting on my order. I received my coffee with my food. They both seemed like they had cooled while waiting to be brought to my table. The chorizo was overcooked in parts--to the point that it was hard (not crunchy) & it was incredibly difficult to cut one of the arepas. The eggs were perfectly poached. Prices are on par with the neighborhood. I chose to not go back through line to give feedback on the meal, but improvement in execution & faster service would make this spot great. read more
