Service was quick and efficient. I ordered a latte and a scone. The scone was very delicious and fresh. My boyfriend ordered a frozen hot chocolate and a chocolate éclair. I tried a bit of the éclair and we both agreed that it was the star of the show. I normally am not a big éclair person but this one was so chocolatey and rich. It was filled with this creamy, fresh chocolate filling. I strongly dislike the store bought cream filling that they are usually piped with. If the kitchen had become operational again, no one informed us or asked whether we would like to order anything else. Instead, staff repeatedly came to our table with the bill, even bringing the wrong bill the first time, making us feel rushed and unwelcome. The café was nearly empty, yet we received some of the poorest service I've experienced in New York or New Jersey. I still don't understand why we were treated differently, but the combination of poor communication, unfriendly service, and overpriced food made for a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I would not return and would not recommend this café to others.
