Vermicelli - would likely order again.

Return or not return? Return. As a general observation, one of the most disappointing aspects of being in North Texas is the absence of any good Chinese food/restaurants. Likely spoiled after having lived in Vancouver, Toronto, and San Francisco. As for Rice Garden, drove by and decided to try hoping once again for almost anything I can be loyal to. This was clearly Americanized Chinese food and worth a try via takeout. Ratings below are in context of what's in North Texas. Prices: Very reasonable and doesn't feel like the many other restaurants who have taken inflation to a new level. Portions: Texas size and should have no complaints. Appearance: Clean Staff/service: No idea as was takeout, but food was packed ready to go within 20 mins of a web order. Food: Slightly bland which I welcomed bc I find most restaurants over oil or over salt their food. Would suggest some modest modifications to improve reception while still keeping food "Americanized" and keeping costs down. Hot & Sour Soup: Needs more black vinegar, as was imbalanced. It was also missing more of the usual traditional things like wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, strips of pork etc but with all of this no way one can sell for $5.99. Nonetheless, the vinegar alone would have brought it home. Sesame Chicken: Ordered white meat (and liked that they had that option with no up charge). Decent flavor, but slightly mushy hence may order extra crispy next time. Vegetable Hot Pot: It was just ok, very non-descript. In isolation reasonably priced, but compared to pricing of other items within the restaurant, it shouldn't be among the more expensive entrees. Kung Pao Shrimp: Ok, non descript, but edible and may/not order again. Also tasted (and looked) too similar to vegetable hot pot. Singapore Vermicelli: Decent, but needed slightly more curry flavor as was slightly on blander side. A small amount of BBQ pork strips (i.e., char siu) to balance out the chicken would have been nice. Will order again. Want to see them do well, and will do what I can to support them.

Happy to have a Chinese spot in the McKinney area. The service was pretty quick and I think the portions are really filling. The fries chicken was good, the general tsos was really good but the shrimp was pretty ok. Also the rice wasn't the best. All in all I would come back bc of convenience! It's not too bad

I often order here and their food is really good. I especially like the dumplings, jalapeño basil rice and mango slush. Fast service, chill vibes. Not too busy

Overall very good service, this lady was extremely nice to my family and I. Food was spectacular and had plenty of options even if you're a little picky! They also have a very nice playlist going in the background of acoustic music by modern artists. Overall a very fun and worthwhile experience!

Walked in to this new restaurant and was greeted with a smile. Very clean and fast, friendly service. We ordered the sesame chicken, house fried rice and crab ragoons! Everything came out hot and fresh. Omg!!! It was all so GOOD! I highly recommend eating inside! Very clean and quaint. My daughter and her husband have found their go to Chinese restaurant and I will come again when I visit!

Food: The menu was pretty standard. There were plenty of appetizers, Thai stir fried noodle dishes, soup noodles, fried rice options, and Thai curries. They even had Chinese American dishes like orange chicken. I literally order the same thing at every Thai restaurant: pad khee mao (drunken noodles). The noodles were very well flavored. The plate of noodles had fresh cut bell peppers, and freshly chopped Thai basil. The plate of noodles were also very generously sized. Overall, it was delicious.

I ordered the pad woon sen (level 2/5 spice) and she ordered the pad kee mow (level 3 spice). To be honest, neither dish really had any spice, so if you like things spicy, go for at least level 4 (my only regret). The flavors for both were excellent, and we shared each dish and deleted both of them in about 10 minutes. Definitely hit the spot. The employees are very friendly and the music gives a relaxing island-type vibe. I recommend checking this place out, I'll definitely be back.

Found this little gem close to us, and really enjoyed this place…read more Atmosphere/Ambiance - 4.5/5 - Not a large place, but most sushi places aren't really that big. You can combine tables to form larger groups (I wouldn't do it past 8). Staff - 5/5 - Friendly. They come by often, which is always a good thing. Food/Drink - They have a LARGE menu, and ordered the following: Agedashi Tofu - 5/5 - I am always a fan of this type of tofu, and this didn't disappoint. Really light and fluffy. Kobe potstickers - 4/5 - Ground beef potstickers. Pretty good, but I don't know if it is worth $8.50. Japanese Popcorn Shrimp - 4.5/5 - For the kiddos. Softshell Crab - 5/5 - Always a huge fan, and came with 2. Poke Tacos - 4/5 - Really good, and came with a good amount of Tuna poke. Spider Roll - 5/5 - Softshell crab again. This time for $10. Devil's Roll - 4.5/5 - Not really spicy, but very flavorful. Overall, we will be coming back again due to the food and location.

However the Thai entrees are actually decent (not like the best though). I probably wouldn't go here for Thai food but if I'm here and want Thai I'll get it. I think it half stars were allowed this place is probably closer to 3.5 but overall it's good.

What could improve... EVERYTHING! WARNING don't order off Uber Eats .., they will put the blame on…read morethem. I preordered so that was NOT the case. Chicken was so dry I ditched it and charged me $5 for shredded vegetables, no rice. Look how awesome $5 worth of veggies (or should I say shredded cabbage) is. Really people ...rice costs you nothing to add to the order. Never again! I wouldn't feed this to my dog. Person on the phone hung up on me when I complained and blamed Uber.. $25 down the drain. GROSS! AND I'm expensing this so it's not even my money! Unfortunately, I reviewed them on Uber Eats prior to me eating. I wanted to give my delivery person a good review. BTW... I also asked for utensils and hot sauce.., didn't get ‍. So just keep blaming the delivery service. Never had an issue with any other Chinese place on Uber Eats. The food court had better food than this dump! That's odd that it's always the delivery services fault. DO BETTER FOR THE NEXT DELIVERY CUSTOMER!!!!

The soup dumplings ended up having a sweet taste in the soup. The hot and sour soup was not sour at all, and I ended up, doctoring it a bit by asking for some vinegar. I would highly recommend against people ordering this if they're expecting the authentic Asian flavor profile. The beef noodle soup ordered medium spicy was not spicy at all and so next time if I ever go back, I'll have to get their extra spicy. And their tofu noodle soup did not have nearly as much tofu as the picture seemed to make us believe. The one thing I did really like was the wontons in the wonton soup so if I come back, I'll probably just be ordering that. Overall, I think I was expecting a classic Taiwanese flavor profile and was left wanting more.
